We, in America, are so proud of our Men and Women in uniform and the civilians who work beside them. While the loved ones of those who were murdered (as well as those injured and their families) have a very difficult road ahead of them, I hope they can find some comfort in knowing that the citizens of the United States of America mourns with them and will keep them all in our thoughts and prayers.

While we did not know Spc. Jason Dean Hunt, you could certainly see the pride in his eyes. I felt horrible reading he had just gotten married 2 months ago. How sad for his widow, parents and loved ones. He had his entire life in front of him. Our deepest sympathy to all of you!

After reading these notices of the untimely and violent ways in which these people died, I really find myself truly saddened about all of their lives, cut so short... I can not even begin to imagine the pain that their loved ones are going through, as well as those they proudly worked with and for and those they served with and for. As a proud and grateful American, I would like to offer my thanks to them and their families for the privilege of being served and guarded by individuals such as them. May God, in His true mercy and kindness, lift you into His tender hands and give you that room to cry, be angry, laugh, and remember your precious loved one.

It seems so short of sufficient to simply say, thank you. But the work you did, with the greatest of intentions is sure to have had a great impact on someone's life and on our country. Our hearts go out to your family, especially your new bride, at this terrible time in their lives. I hope amongst the sadness they remember the good times and can move forward. Rest in peace.
