Jack, the Russians, unfortunately, live on Earth, but they sure create a lot of problems for Earthlings. The title of this article suggests that Russia somehow supports Iranian intransigence. Unfortunately it will become another opportunity for those folks out there who see American aid to Israel as the problem. Well, this time I think that those opposed to American tax dollars being given to Israel are right. The Israelis say they can go it alone, and I think they should. They can go it alone without our aid. We should also cut off aid to every other country on this earth. Let the rest of the world look to Russia and China for their handouts. I wish Israel good luck and godspeed with the devils in Tehran.
"Russia said Wednesday the world should not draw "hasty conclusions" over Iran's most recent rebuff of U.N. attempts to investigate allegations the Islamic Republic hid secret work on atomic arms"
Wait until they actually test an Atomic weapon - then people will know for sure.
If Iran is serious about NOT trying to make an Atomic Bomb, why don't they just prove it by letting inspectors do their job?
Having been warned of an imminent attack by Israel, it would not be unreasonable for Iranians to deny access to nuclear sites to inspectors who may well be acting as spies to map underground facilities for targeting for the "bunker busters".
From what I have been reading, Israel has changed tack and gone from one trying to appease the international community while planning behind closed doors for a strike to an all out, "We do what we need to survive" posture which in my opinion means they made the decision to strike and are now waiting for the opportune moment.
Russha wants them to have a nuke to keep the USA at bay and maybe kill some along the way. Russha gave them the tools......It will be harder to protect are borders when thire armed.
Now we know why the gas price is going up. After the US secretary of defense said that Israel is going to strike Iran in April or May or June, the gas price has been going up. Imagine Israel strikes Iran, we will be paying $10.00 a gallon immediately.
The USA gets most of it's oil from North, Central, and South America. We have so much oil the Corporations are able to export to other countries. This price hike is a ruse, and once again the joke is on the taxpayers $$$.
Supply and Demand malocchio, Supply and Demand! Less supply from Iran, more demand from countries that buy oil from Iran therefore prices need to go up!
Where you buy oil is irrelevent it's price is set by world production. Even though we buy most of our oil from Canada and Mexico we pay world price or they'll sell elsewhere. As for our exporting oil we only export refined products as many countries dont have the ability to refine oil so we refine it and sell the end product.Nothing nefarious about it.
And the selling of the refined product is best around for the American economy. It means jobs for US citizens for a product that is just burnt at the end. It is the equavalent of selling a car to other companies rather than selling them the steel and buying their cars to use.
Here what you do- Give the Iranians what they want, nuclear weapons But before Iran gets these weapons we pull the launch sticker off the launch button. We the reapply the launch sticker to the detonate button. Then we tick them off!
Reminds me of what Kennedy did when Castro was trying to get nukes back in the 60s. He didn't put up with it and niether will Israel.
If they are going to strike I would suggest do in now before Iran holds elections. This will postpone the elections and give the Iranian people a chance to think about who they want in charge.
Russians are getting desperate to not lose a partner they sell a lot of weapons to. Let's be honest, due to russias help, the west is now forced to up its timetable to deal with IRAN.
Russia was stonewalling IRAN on a number of issues, until USA decided to go ahead with its missile defense program, which in turn russia punished the west by finishing a nuclear reactor, and selling contraversial anti-missile systems and among other help in the nuclear sector. Now the results of this will be a bombed IRAN, and again russian technology will not prevent anything and look inferior again.
Isreal is taking the right response, and should not wait for USA to make it's desision for them. After all, IRAN can drive a bomb up to thier border and let it off and then claim they had no idea who did it.
Sanctions have not and will not work, Obama knows this, they are now just being used to make the innevitable attack easier to deal with, if everyone has to shore up new oil resources ahead of time, makes it easier when the bombs start dropping.
IRAN has been preparing for an attack for almost a decade, compared to any other country in a while, IRAN is more prepared against attack by the west and will be much more difficult to deal with.
Of course Israel could just NUKE IRAN, and be done with it.
Israel and the U.S. have said military force remains a last-ditch option to stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon
So exactly how close are we to the ditch?
And we buried our head in the sand before and that brought us into WWII. But unfortunately looking around aint so much fun either.
and as far as it goes, if Israel attacks iran it will be at bequest of the US. So Israel aint goin it alone. Where do you think they got the plutonium to make their bombs in the first place. From US.
So Russia is backing the arabs as they want all the oil they can get on top of their own. Not to mention all the arms sales.
the nazis were backed by the arabs in WWII. Russia seems to think they can get away with backing the arabs now. Except when a nuke blows up in one of their cities. they have completely forgot about checknia. More sabre rattling on both sides to see who is top dog.
I just hope we survive the arabs being nuclear armed. israel has had nukes for 40 years and has a policy that they will not use nuclear weapons unless attacked with nuclear weapons. Its called operation sampson. Unfortunately the arabs do not have the same opinion.
We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force. Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: 'Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother.' I consider it all hopeless at this point. We shall have to try to prevent things from coming to that, if at all possible. Our armed forces, however, are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third. We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under
why does russia need oil? it has more than it knows what to do with.... and where in the world is checknia?
Prepare for the end of it all if there is a nuclear war, heed the warnings that are surfacing in the world. Stick your heads in the sand, or be prepared to defend yourselves, anarchy will reign!

One thing is for certain. If there becomes a world-wide shortage of oil, our domestic companies who drill oil will leave our country dry and sell it abroad at huge profits not caring one iota about where that leaves us.
I dont see where Israel is considering Iran an immediate, imminent and impending threat. What I do see is a lot of media hype, paranoia, and backpeddling. Israel is right in that it is none of Russia's business. But, it is certainly our business, because, Iran will pull us into the fray as tho we were the ones striking them. They will do this in hopes to bring Russia and China into it when we counter-strike, or, to prevent a counter-strike. Lot of headgames in progress here. Everyone needs to think this all through and hope cooler heads prevail. Iran wins the game when someone messes up and hits them first. Meanwhile, our CIC needs to do something about all this price gouging at the pumps.
How stupid are Obama and Clinton? Economic santioncs do not work against an oil-export country like Iran! The world had a no-fly zone over half of Irag, and all kinds of sanctions but Saddam remain defiant for several years. The US should have joint Israel in planning a strike. 200-400 cruise missles can disable Iran air defense, navy and hard-to-reach nuclear facilities. Israel air force can do the rest of the dirty work.
Yea, it won't be pretty. Israel knows that this is doomsday. When you see the Israelis trying to leave their country, then look up, a nuke could be headed your way.
Israel has never dealt with China. China will not deal with Israel like the US and Europe has. If the US is badly hit with nukes, this would be a good thing for Russia and China.
Israel has known their Mid East enemies for centuries. But Israel does not know how China is. They and Korea could easily march into Israel and fulfill that Revelation prophecy. According to Revelation, Israel is going to get badly beaten, by a million man army.
It looks like the major players are in place. And no, I am no follower of John Hagee and the prophets of Christian Zionist Armageddon. I think that they are very people who were given God's permission to behave the way they have in these last 100 years. So God will use them to fulfill His promise, for both Jew and Gentile, His Remnant. Just because you are a Christian, a Muslim or a Jew, you are not guaranteed God's protection. I will let Paul speak on behalf of the King of Kings.
I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit— 2 I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, 4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. 5 Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised![a] Amen.
God’s Sovereign Choice
6 It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7 Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.”[b]8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. 9 For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”[c]
10 Not only that, but Rebekah’s children were conceived at the same time by our father Isaac. 11 Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: 12 not by works but by him who calls—she was told, “The older will serve the younger.”[d]13 Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”[e]
14 What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! 15 For he says to Moses,
“I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”[f]
16 It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. 17 For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”[g]18 Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.
19 One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” 20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”[h]21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?
22 What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? 23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— 24 even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles? 25 As he says in Hosea:
“I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people; and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,”[i]
26 and,
“In the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’”[j]
27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel:
“Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved. 28 For the Lord will carry out his sentence on earth with speed and finality.”[k]
29 It is just as Isaiah said previously:
“Unless the Lord Almighty had left us descendants, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.”
Romans 9:1-29
Huh? God will choose from any Gentile nation, such as Iran to be His. God's promise to Abraham was for all nations, which was to find grace and mercy through His Son. Not for land that is holy, or the right to build temples, or for a superior culture and identity in the Middle East. If you have ears, then listen. Being born a Jew does not make you Israel, any more than growing up in America makes you a Christian. But they are sure playing it like that now. And it will back fire on this neocon/Zionist , and unfortunately, we may be in the cross fires.
Saddam remained defiant but he didn't have any WMD or pose any threat to any other nation. It is the same with Iran. We are imposing sanctions, almost always sponsored by some Jew in our Congress, working to do Israel's bidding, instead of looking out for the interests of his constituents.
How can we bomb Iran when we know Iran does not have a nuclear weapon and has not even decided to build one? Only an idiot would suggest using 200 cruise missiles on a nation that has not started any war in well over 100 years.
Read this from an Israeli -
If one day, Iran decides to cut its cooperation with the IAEA, it would make it easier to use such a site to make a bomb, but it's in the long term," said Meir Javedanfar, an analyst and lecturer on Iranian issues at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel. "In the short term, I don't think Israel has too much to worry about because the site is still under inspection.
1.Israels intelligence services, and the US intelligence services all say that Iran has not decided to build nuclear weapons. That while, along with 40 other nations, they have the CAPACITY to produce them.Their leadership is reluctant to actually build them.
2.The Israeli government and some American politicians are trying to build up war fever in our country for their own political gain.
3.Our media has become over the last 20 years the mouthpiece of corporate and political power groups. Many of them in the pockets of the neo-cons and the pro-Israeli lobbies.Which is why we see this constant push for war.The media in Israel is more balanced than it is here.So to read more real understanding of this problem, reading Haaretz gives more facts than American news.
4.Israels has a recent poll done in the US that shows,51 percent of Americans favored sitting on the fence in the event of an Israel-Iran war; only 39 percent favored siding with Israel.Israels strategic strategy is based on the support of the US in any war.Which explains why they are so intent on beating the war drums over here.
5.While the IAEA hasn't accused Iran of making nuclear weapons.Ever since the US pushed to get Yukiya Amano put in as IAEA head, suddenly there are questions brought up that the IAEA had not considered a problem before. On Mr Amano there is this from Wikipedia:
In an interview with Democracy Now on November 21st 2011, Seymour Hersh, precising an article he wrote for the New Yorker, three days earlier, claimed that Yukiya Amano's election to the IAEA was a political appointment, heavily backed by the US administration, and that the IAEA report on Iran's ability or desire to produce a nuclear weapon relies on no new evidence and that many experts in the IAEA, as well as in the American and Israeli intelligence community, had indicated to Hersh that they do not endorse it.
According to a U.S. cable obtained by WikiLeaks , in a meeting in September, 2009 with Glyn Davies, the American permanent representative to the IAEA, Amano "reminded Ambassador on several occasions that he would need to make concessions to the G-77 [the developing nations], which correctly required him to be fair-minded and independent, but that he was solidly in the U.S. court on every key strategic decision, from high-level personnel appointments to the handling of Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program."
I think that says all we need to on the IAEA.
6.Since the wars in the Middle East we have lost over 6,000 dead,42,000 badly wounded Americans, and hundreds of thousands of dead and wounded Iraqis and Afghanis, mostly civilians.Iran is a country at least 3 times the size of Iraq with 75 million people.Unlike those nations they are very nationalistic. While many Iranians may not agree with their government, they will most certainly fight any foreign attack. They are mostly Shia,a Muslim religious faith, that also make up a large population in surrounding countries.Especially in the oil regions of Iraq,Kuwait,Bahrein, and Saudi Arabia. And an important part of Lebanon's and Syria's population bordering on Israel. An attack on Iran, the largest Shia state, more than likely with be considered an attack on the Shia faith in general. The unrest and terrorism caused by that is likely to destabilize the entire Middle East and send oil prices through the roof.Leading to a worldwide depression, and sending our economy down the tubes.
7.The results from the neo-con/pro-Israeli warmongering to our country, would be a disaster, that would last for years, and all other the world.
If we were to strike Iran that is what it would be a 30 day war, as long as we didn't try to occupy and rebuild I don't think there would be an issue. Push them back to the stone age and let them refigure their leadership.

I just want to point out that your times are in the duration of the current Administration. The current Administration is not considered a neo-con or pro-Israeli Administration. So if what you state is accurate, it appears that is may be more of a progressive group that may be pushing this agenda.
If we were to strike Iran that is what it would be a 30 day war, as long as we didn't try to occupy and rebuild I don't think there would be an issue.....
I wish people would stop this total bull@!$%# of a "short war". No strikes on Iran will be a short 30 day war. It would result in a multi-year and potentially involve the majority of the nations in the world. Please remember that the War of Libya was to last 1 week and went for 8 months. And Iran is got more external support then Libya ever had!
There are neo-cons and pro-Israelis in both major parties. In the elections the candidates get a lot of their money from the same type of sources. That's the main reason we really don't have clear choices with our politicians.Anywhere else in the world our Democrats and Republicans would both be considered right of center parties.I agree with you, this would not be a short war.The last "short" wars we were in,against weaker nations. One was almost 9 years, the other one is 11,and counting now.
A short war is what the neocons predicted with Iraq and they were the main planners of that war. They sold the war as a "short war". It was going to be a "cakewalk".
Zionist warmongers like Ken Adelman and the Zionist Washington Post pushed the war in an editorial titled, “Cakewalk in Iraq.” Jewish supremacists Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz told you that Iraq would “Welcome us as liberators.” Iraq became the longest war in American history. Here is a report from USA Today: “Pentagon officials estimated for the first time Wednesday that up to 360,000 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans may have suffered traumatic brain injuries.” Now that’s not counting tens of thousands who have suffered maiming, amputations, or death in this war based on lies.
Count me among the 51%. The odds of me dying for Israel does ZERO. The odds of Uncle Sucker forcing me to die for Israel is less than ZERO. I prefer "3 hots and a cot" in Leavenworth than being force to fight for Israel. Wake me up when it's over.
pray all you want, wont change a thing. Only one certainty, mankind will forever be at war with each other, its seems thats how we're wired. First hands, then rocks, bronze, steel, gunpowder physics. All great discoveries fueled by desire for better ways to win wars. Blow ourselves to virtual extinction and the first act of survivors will be to find the first handy rock, just in case.
Israel usually finishes what it starts. It does not need the U.S. to finish anything it starts. This is always in their planning never to be dependent on other countries doing your protective job. In most cases the U.S. has had to tell Israel to stay calm while it goes in for its massive strikes but this time I think Israel will do what it has to do and do it with fury and precision.
thats the promble. Israel all ways thinks they can do what ever it wants...Israel has the bomb..why can't Iran? fair is fair....if israel was so fair..they would give up the land too the palestinians..and stop buliding too expaned....but Israel thinks the world olds them a favor for the wwII STUFF...but as we all know white people thinks they run this planet....mabey this should play out and blow this whole world of the map....that would be the best for madkind.....a dam new start..... ps..yes i did type (mad-kind)....
Israel usually finishes what it starts. True, when they attack weak countries with overwhelming American air power. Iran is not as weak as Lebanon, Iraq or Syria and are as well prepared as they can be, because Israel has been threatening them for at least 10 years.
If Israel decides to attack, which I believe they will not, due to the threat of counter attacks. Israel is loathe to lose it's precious soldiers, which would happen if they try to go it alone. Hell, Israel fled from Lebanon like whipped dogs, after attempting to fight with Hezbollah on the ground. The IDf was no match for "freedom fighters" of Hezbollah.
No need to waste time on negotiations any longer. One thing about the muslims from the middle east they are never to be trusted as much as they say negotiations they want the delay factor so they can get some form of atomic weapon crude as it maybe which will change the whole terror atmosphere in the region. I do believe that Israel will attack as they must do and finish the job themselves. Israel does a lot of planning and strategy calculation before it does anything as when it does do something it is planned to the nth degree with precision. I see not only air bombardment but boots on the ground to take out the nuclear facilities completely as Israel does not want this tio happen again in 2-3 years time. My bet is on Israel doing it by itself and doing a good job. Just cannot wait to see this Israelis Kamakaze mission as it will be a daring strike and will have high risks of failure but knowing the Israelis Defense Forces they will be good and God Speed to them on this mission.
Russia and China signed deals with Iran for oil. They both have certain interests that are in Iran. Not shocked since they do not want to choose sides if Israel bombs Iran and the US are pulled into the frey. Russia, like the US have kept a nuclear arsenal. But sooner or later, Iran is going to reveal a nuclear weapon. We all know it and they will use it immediately. So Russia has to play the middle guy. If Iran is attacked and the country is in chaos, then Russia will have to secure their own interests. By siding with Iran. Too much is at stake for Russia.
What planet do the Russians live on?
Jack, the Russians, unfortunately, live on Earth, but they sure create a lot of problems for Earthlings. The title of this article suggests that Russia somehow supports Iranian intransigence. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT THERE WILL BE MILLIONS OF LIVES LOST IF RUSSIA GETS INVOLVED!?!?!?
and before you say it, i know what will happen if gas prices go sky high.
We will get through hard economic times, we always do. Its the whole nuclear war thing that will be a little harder to bounce back from.
The Cold War never ended.

Lunacy. Not worth reading past the first paragraph.
What the Ruskies are saying between the lines is hey , we're on irans side .

Here are the facts:
No more wars for Israel.
Please do not say "here are the facts" and then quote Wikipedia.
Also, if I hear the word neocon one more time by a progressive (socialist, and yes they are the same thing) I will puke.
Count me among the 51%. The odds of me dying for Israel does ZERO. The odds of Uncle Sucker forcing me to die for Israel is less than ZERO. I prefer "3 hots and a cot" in Leavenworth than being force to fight for Israel. Wake me up when it's over.
"Also, if I hear the word neocon one more time by a progressive (socialist, and yes they are the same thing) I will puke."
Neocon,neocon,neocon. If they were only the same,but sadly,they aren't.
I pray for peace.
pray all you want, wont change a thing.
Israel can probably start this fight, but the US will most likely have to finish it.
