Who knew? Sex in France is really such a serious offense! Honestly this makes little difference to me but this sounds like trumped up political harassment. Well one thing we know for sure and there was never any doubt this man did not rape the maid in New York.
yeah, shame on all those loose women, maids, authors, etc. for forcing themselves on this defenseless old man! for heaven's sake, lay off the viagra; i would say have sex with your wife, but we've all seen too much of her stupidity in your last escapade.
Actually the official statement of the NYPD was that they had "no doubt that Mr. Strauss-Khan had forced sexual relations" with the maid. This was based on the physical evidence of material in her hair and on her clothing and their being able to account for all Mr. S-K's money which precluded his having paid her for sex.
The problem was that the woman was an illegal immigrant with connections to west african gangs in NYC. The police figured that if they took a billionaire to court that a high-powered defense would shred the woman's credibility and character.
This is actually the 11th allegation of sexual misconduct against S-K, but you have no doubt that he did not rape her. Do you actually think that hotel maids seek out fat rich Frenchmen for sex? Even fat rich Frenchmen wouldn't believe that.
I am always dismayed at the American tendency to always blame the victim. If a woman is raped, she obviously did something to "deserve" it. I certainly hope you feel that way if your mother or sister or wife or daughter is raped.
The rape of the hotel maid was apparently the last straw for his American wife who has left him and is seeking divorce.
"He could easily not have known, because as you can imagine, at these kinds of parties you're not always dressed, and I challenge you to distinguish a naked prostitute from any other naked woman," Henri Leclerc told French radio Europe 1 in December.
LoL...I sure could distinguish a naked prostitute from another naked babe messieur Henri Leclerc, just bring both to me for a couple of hours and a couple of cold bud lights...it's gonna be hard, but I'll try messiuer...
I agree with you in everything except for the American tendency to blame the victim. This is actually a manner of thinking that occurs in every country. France being a good example, he had been accused of this sort of thing before there and the allegations went no where and the French drew the same conclusions that many Americans did. That it was somehow her fault. In this patriarchal society, we tend to blame the woman for not being chaste enough, or pure enough and somehow enticing the man while hardly ever blaming him for this deviant behavior.
Now, Now none of this blaming DSK. After all, boys will be boys won't they? Picture this...DSK surrounded by moolah that has begun to lose its ability to charm. He figures out a better use for all that money. So what if it's not exactly on the level? Isn't DSK entitled to the privileges of his ultra, ultra position? Isn't he entitled to walk around with his zipper wide open and his eyes wide shut? roflmao.
His wife has to be the cuckold of all time. When she stops playing Mommy to her bad little boy, maybe then and only then, he'll have to suffer the consequences of his actions and decisions.
Most human beings know that's called "responsibility". But when you're DSK, responsibility is for the subordinates who take all the blame. More disgusting an exploiter of women, I cannot imagine. This old pig needs castration.
Soooo, you say there is no doubt that he did not rape the maid in New York? That the charges are trumped up charges? This guy is a rapist and needs to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Do you feel the same way about Asange, or are charges just politically trumped up for the rightwing?
And it is very true that we love to blame the victim in America. Criminals are innocent until proven guilty. Victims are immoral liars until the criminals are proven guilty.
Everyone has to make every issue political so blaming the victim helps when you have an argument that you can't support with facts.
Bet the DIRT BAG can't buy his way out this time !!!!
It is a sorry state of affairs they live in. To much money, to much power and influence. It puts them in an almost euphoric state of mind above the law. Hope he has a great time in the Ba steal.
This sort of thing happens on a regular basis whether it be in France or the US. Rich and powerful MEN are put under an umbrella of protection and authorities turn a blind eye.
Something tells me he really pissed off the wrong people and has been thrown out of the circle of "protection."
Of coarse he's guilty... along with thousands of others we won't ever hear about. That is until they piss off the wrong people!
Men of wealth never seem to know how to face their own limitations. They begin to bloat their egos and believe they are almighty gods who can do just as they well please. Usually, their own surrounding male comrades take umbrage with such pomposity and egotism until it gets on their nerves and they realize as peeons they can as easily sabotage Mr. McWealth.
The only reason DSK preys on women is because he believes them to be so inferior that his almighty position precludes their ever accusing him and making it stick. Slimeball as that is.
Damn! This old man really is a lover of women, and apparently unable to express it in any way that resembles mutuality. He's had more "pecker" trouble than a blind rooster eating with chicken hawks. His family should seriously consider putting a disabling surgical ding in his dong.
Whether or not someone explicitly told him that they were paying for the prostitutes using tax payers money falls on the burden of the state to prove otherwise he walks. He will walk.
and just to imagine that this strauss kahn was the head of the IMF. I suppose he has done a lot of this dirty work and his victims have been threatened and pressurized to keep their mouths shut. It boggles the mind how the mighty can get away with this escapades
Europe is not stuck in the Victorian Era as some countries are. So it is of no consequence as far as sex is concerned. They are open about sexual activities instead of casting it in a bad light.
Rape is not an escapade, however. There was something very fishy about the prosecutor behavior in NYC as well. The original prosecutor was married to Strauss Kahn's choice of lawyer, so her assistant took the case and lost it miserably. Strauss Kahn is exactly who we think he is, but there is also political conspiracy that uses his weakness to advantage. The prosecutor didn't need to win, Strauss Kahn had already been humiliated, lost his reputation. That's all that was needed. Now it continues because he continues to be a person who will take what he wants. There is no law against sex orgies in France, but ghosts of repeated rape is very different.
There is absolutely nothing "enlightened" about raping a hotel maid in a situation where you are sure that the hotel will take care of it for you. There is nothing "modern" about using your position tohave sex with underlings. There is nothing "open" about raping a woman in your limo and then making a $50,000 (actually euros, not dollars) to the driver on the eve of his being summoned by the magistrate investigating the complaint.
Rape is rape and it has absolutely nothing to do with being "stuck in the Victorian age." Unless, of course, you are a potential rapist and are trying to rationalize your deviant thoughts.
Strauss-Khan's wife, the journalist, author and heir to her own fortune Anne Sinclair, was also "sexually liberated" and theirs was an "open marriage." But even sexual unconventional spouses have to draw the line somewhere. She is said to be quietly resuming her TV career and seeking divorce.
and i always thought that the reason for the IMF choosing a woman as president this time around was to bring some respect to the IMF and to stop this top guys at the IMF from harrasing and trying to sleep around with their subordinates. This Strauss Kahn has been a really bad role model for the IMF and other world bodies
The I.M.F. is nothing but a den of lye rs, cheaters and thieves. Their sole purpose is to rip off all of the worlds money and put every nation in to debt so deep it can never be repaid. Just follow the money trail. I.M.F. world bank, Central banks and so on. Also look for and at the GOLDMAN-SACKS connection.
Bob, you know that was a stupid statement you just made now don't you? Explain to all of us how the IMF "puts every nation in to debt"? (by the way in to s/b into), explain to us how the IMF forces nation's to spend recklessly (like ours, Greece, Italy).
Sorry to rain on your parade but the comment was not stupid. The world bank and the I.M.F. were key players in south America for starters. They lent money to several countries their for vast projects there. The projects were suppose to lift their countries out of poverty. All the while knowing the price tag for them was inflated beyond belief. Putting those countries in deep debt. They with help from some friends strong armed the countries leaders to take the deal or have an accident. That problem still exists there today.
It is the banksters game of extortion being played out all over the world today. Strong arm a country for their resources and put the people into what amounts to slavery. There have been many books written about this subject. Sudgest you go to your library and read some of them.
bob, don't misunderstand you're not raining on my parade, I just wanted you to explain how the IMF drove countries into debt? Have you been following the news in Eurpoe? Greece as an example built a rail system that got no where in a timely fashion in the '90's. One of their politicians was quoted as saying that it would be cheaper to give everyone money for cabs. Aned might I suggest that you try reading BBCNews.com? Thanks
Forgive my misspellings had to let my dog out to you know what. Anyway, the Greeks are accustomed to 2 months vacation, who can afford that sort of nonsense? The IMF most certainly didn't force 2 months vacation on them. Nor did the IMF force them to build a rail system that couldn't run on time.
For the Greeks to be "accostomed" to two month vacations says very little about Greece and more about American workers. In most of the developed world except the USA, 4 weeks vacation to start working up to 8 weeks after 15 or more years is the standard. Apparently most countries can "afford that sort of nonsense."
American workers work the longest work-days in the longest work-weeks with the fewest breaks, holidays, vacation days, benefits, and retirement benefits of any country in the world. It is one reason that companies like Mercedes want to build cars in the US --- we are cheap labor who can be fired without a second thought.
The issue about Hellenic Railways is pretty bogus as well. It is not that the railway that could not ruin on time. It is that the EU insisted on a natiowide rail system in order for Greece to join the ECC. Greece is an extremely mountainous country and the costs of building such a railway were horrendous. But banks were more than happy to loan Greece the money to build it even though it was well known that if everyone in Greece rode it daily, it would still lose money. It was not the operation of the railway that was a problem, it was the incredible amount of money that was borrowed to build it. Just Hellenic Railways alone has debt equal to 5% of Greece's GNP. But when you look at bad loans, just as with the mortgage crisis in this country, it takes two parties (or in this case 26 parties) to make such a loan.
bob and now Chris, let's face it the 3 of us are on the wrong thread....but who care's! I've been enjoying talking with bob and now you also Chris. Anyway the EU and the IMF knew that Greece would never be able to pay back ALL of the money that was loaned, nor will they ever be able to, the problem is that the EU and the IMF shouldn't have continued to loan the money in the 1st place. There is wrong on both sides and the problem is that it's happened #1 all over Europe and is happening in the US. So what are the solutions? China is our boggy man.
Ane bob I'll gladly take up your suggestion on Economic Hit Man
Chris, my point regarding the 2 months vacation in Greece is that NO they can't afford to give those extended vacations. Tanslated to cuts.
In 1994, after I was discharged from the USN, I bought a sailboat in Greece and sailed the Cyclades for almost a year. What I discovered was a lifestyle where job and vacation had no distinct delineation. Most of the men were fishermen, sheep herders, or owned some sort of tourist business. For recreation they either fished hung out together in the fields drinking ouzo or hung out in each others shop drinking ouzo. Not only did this system work, it has for a very long time. Our ideas of how the world should work has interfered with some very old systems that didn’t need fixing. Our promise of wealth through debt is no more than a sales pitch of a casino driven economy. I am not saying the Greeks were forced to change their lifestyle; but it seems a little sad that the wealthiest financers in America have elevated themselves as the loan-sharks of the world. This is not something to be proud of.

Actually Bob is right. Google "IMF Jamaica" for one example.
this guy keeps getting off the hook, why? it is really obvious that he has some really bad sexual issues. his money keeps him out of jail, it also keeps him in hookers apparently!
"He could easily not have known, because as you can imagine, at these kinds of parties you're not always dressed, and I challenge you to distinguish a naked prostitute from any other naked woman"

"One of Strauss-Kahn's lawyers has said that the former French presidential hopeful never knew that the women at orgies he attended were prostitutes." Well, THAT'S a relief! I'm sure that helps his wife and family members feel SOOOO much better! Piece of crap!
Leopards can't change their spots. He was a pig when he was allowed to leave NY and he still is. His wife has got to be crazy to stay with this guy, and if he has family he should be ashamed.
Raymond, let me guess, you have problems with women. They don't like you and you have to pay for sex. Could it possibly because you are a human pustule on the backside of humanity?
The issue with S-K is not sex. The issue is that he and other wealthy powerful people in France used IMF and corporate funds to pay prostitutes. Even in France this is strictly forbidden.
"He could easily not have known, because as you can imagine, at these kinds of parties you're not always dressed, and I challenge you to distinguish a naked prostitute from any other naked woman," Henri Leclerc told French radio Europe 1 in December"

Is Newt over there running a witch hunt like he did hear during the eighties?
The stench seems to follow him no matter where he goes. Hmmmm.
I see you are still living in denial.
It's not the sex that's the issue.....it's the use of funds to procure such sex.

"I challenge you to distinguish a naked prostitute from any other naked woman,"
I will take that challenge sir, and get back to you in a month, maybe 2. Gee the French have all the fun.
The quote came from the BBC article.
Obviously they were partying with lower grade prostitutes. The best ones all have the "Good Pimpin'" seal of approval stamped on their backs!
It's easy - if they're having sex with old ugly guys, they're getting paid.
Actually, the technical term is; Tramp Stamp and are permanent tatoos.
That may be difficult for you since you go after the male prostitutes.
I hope his wife has had a complete STD screen.
My guess, she was the least of his companions.
Only takes once.
You made my day I hope she does to.
Screenings do nothing for prevention - they only catch it after she catches it.

Is this strauss Kahn a human or an animal, but things will always follow him to his grave
No wonder the EURO is taking such a beating; DSK is dipping in to the piggy bank for 'French tarts'?
Well, that explains everything. Quit persecuting this poor guy.
He's just a little dirty stinking old man who has read too much of the Marques de Sade. He's a predator
Is he trying to convince us that you can identify a prostitute when she is dressed? Of course, its those little name tags they wear! silly me
Simple, they have a credit card reader strapped to their hip.
Leave this guy alone;so many castigate him. His only issue, as I see it, is usiing other people's money. A mature guy who can be sexually active still, is revered in France. We prudes here in the USA have condemned him to hell. Meantime many of our own elected officials have a chick on the side. BTW WE ALLL PAY- IN SOME WAY. HA!
It's easy -- the women who are having sex with the incredilby ugly old man are getting paid to do it.
He sounds like one of the characters from the Dragon Tattoo books.
"and his lawyer has asked that Strauss-Kahn be allowed to tell his side of the story".
DSK never seems to run out of stories...always the victim, never the instigator.
And since he didn't know they were prostitutes the behavior is okay? Come on! Looks as if he won't be holding any prestigious position any time soon.
I guess he didn't learn the first time when he managed to get himself out of trouble now this time just maybe he wouldn't be able to worm himself out of it like it he did in New York as we all know he was just as guilty there.
He makes me want to vomate he is one horrible man and he shows everyday he is on Planet Earth.
Well, well, well. DSK returns to the sordid news.
Guess he isn't as squeaky clean as all his online supporters thought during Maidgate.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely. But it rocks absolutely, too.
This guy is a sexual predator. He may have escaped justice in the US, but it looks like he wont escape French justice!
Hopefully he won't escape justice this time, he's escaped before in France.
I will bet a dollar to a donut he gets a slap on the wrist.
What a surprise. Of course he's already shown that he can buy his way out of rape charges. Bet his wife is proud. What a piece of garbage she is for standing up for him.

"One of Strauss-Kahn's lawyers has said that the former French presidential hopeful never knew that the women at orgies he attended were prostitutes." Well, THAT'S a relief! I'm sure that helps his wife and family members feel SOOOO much better! Piece of crap!
You think his wife isn't aware of her husbands actions!?... she was probably the one setting up these "Parties"!
Leopards can't change their spots. He was a pig when he was allowed to leave NY and he still is. His wife has got to be crazy to stay with this guy, and if he has family he should be ashamed.
EXACTLY!

Allison-467021, go sell your real estate.
Raymond try being a little bit more adult.
Allison-467021, What goes on in your area (prostitution) makes this look like a joke.
Raymond, let me guess, you have problems with women. They don't like you and you have to pay for sex. Could it possibly because you are a human pustule on the backside of humanity?
@Raymond,
The issue with S-K is not sex. The issue is that he and other wealthy powerful people in France used IMF and corporate funds to pay prostitutes. Even in France this is strictly forbidden.
They do that here everyday.
Raymond, it's still wrong. Hi Chris!
S-K might not have had a problem if he used K-Y. See what happens when they squeal!
Will someone PLEASE get this Toiletfish off the planet!!!
"He could easily not have known, because as you can imagine, at these kinds of parties you're not always dressed, and I challenge you to distinguish a naked prostitute from any other naked woman," Henri Leclerc told French radio Europe 1 in December"
------Yep, upside down they all look the same..
