Crack is whack. Remind me again why we want to legalize (some) drugs. No "real" good comes from them. This man is, of course, one of the poster children for no. Condolences to the family of the slain woman.
what until we see this guy's prior record; there is no doubt this is not his first run in with violence, it will be his last as a roving animal on the streets of this country, a valuable life taken by a worthless sub-human scum of the earth.
I hereby volunteer to pull the lever. I'll take a vacation day to drive up there and do it, too. Fine with me.
Then, after sending them to oblivion, I'll find a nice local restaurant and have a big, guilt-free breakfast, having saved the taxpayers of MT millions in squandered legal fees and incarceration.
Justice being served, I will be served a chicken fried steak.
"The devil made me do it" is a bunch of bull. They were just plain evil through and through. No one makes anyone do anything, especially murder. They both did crack, to chase the 'high' and apparently they didn't get it so they murder two innocent people. As Gasguy 61 stated, "hang em high".
and there you go; if problems Like this are of small communities..then, can you imagine the BIG PROBLEM in greater cities ??..America is being; TORN into Absolute Deterioration Socially..perhaps, someday the DEVIL will Consume the ENTIRE NATION..In God We Trust; yeah Right, forked tongue.......
I've never heard of anyone wanting to legalize crack. As usual, a spin on reality by people who are incapable or uninterested in dealing in reality. I'd like to see a study done on how many women are beat up, how many car accident fatalities there are, for people who were smoking pot compared to being drunk. But, sorry, that's too logical, or just doesn't play your way.
I smoked pot for many years. Haven't for many years. I also drank. I got into a lot more trouble drinking, trust me. Get real.
Rick, you are one of those enablers. You know very well that smoking pot often leads to stronger stuff. And the fact that drunk people commit crimes, too, is no excuse for smoking pot.
There is , of course, a far-out solution : neither drink nor smoke or inject. How 'bout that ? But don't tell me it's o.k. to smoke pot. Many of the Meth victims in my town started with the weed. Now they have no personality, no teeth,no future.
Time for YOU to get real. All you have said was that you got into more trouble drinking alcohol than smoking pot. Tell me again what actual good came from your drug usage. "I did not hurt (as many people) when I was high as I did when I was drunk. The "smoking pot doesn't hurt anyone" is a load of manure dished by people who can't see how it does.
An interesting consideration...what would be the answer if we asked the man who strangled the teacher if he smoked pot before he got to crack.
I know people can become violent when drinking and/or using drugs, but I sincerely doubt that it is solely the fault of the chemicals; I think they just bring the impulses that were already there, to the surface. There are many, many people who have abused alcohol and drugs, who NEVER commit murders. He and the other man were out looking for a victim, and found one.
They would have done the same thing had they been drinking. They would have done the same thing if they were totally sober. The crack made me do it is a good excuse as far as not taking full responsibility for the act. Its a defensive legal tactic. A murdering heart is there ALL the time.
smoking pot you go to the hard stuff, drinking beer you become a alcoholic, driving a car fast on the highway you win the Dayton's 500. I don't smoke but I have known people who have for over 20 yrs and I would trust them a he77 of a lot more than most politicians.
Ok so were they working for the energy company, or just drifter/losers doing drugs? If they were employed through said energy company, why not undergo drug testing? 'Safe' places to live in this country are dwindling down...and quickly! And what's with this latent-type of hate and contempt for women harbored by these mental 'midgets?'
Americans are such peaceful and loving people. If not invading, looting, raping and killing foreigners, Americans are doing those honorable things at home. No wonder America has more of its people incarcerated than any nation.
OVER 40% of all incarcerated people in the United States aren't even legal citizens, so make sure you deduct @ least 40 % from your head count. We are just footing the bill to imprision other countries undesireables.
Smoking pot does not turn you into a murderer like crack does. There is no comparison between the two drugs. The only reasons that using marijuana MIGHT lead to worse drugs is because 1)People who want hard drugs might use anything they can get their hands on, and 2) Marijuana is illegal so when you buy it you are dealing with people who sell other illegal drugs also. If these two murdering fools had been smoking marijuana instead of doing crack, chances are they would have spent the day sitting at home watching cartoons and eating M and M's.
Here's ONE article specific to California that puts it at 20% minimum, considering that Prison population does not account for all local and city jails. However this is from 2006 which I'm sure is outdated. A simple Google Boolean search will work, if you're really interested in proving yourself or Tommy wrong.
I haven't hurt anybody...and you probably will not...directly. You have engaged in a style of living that has not been proven to be helpful in any fashion. Drugs require traffic; sellers, buyers, and users: bad guys. Okay, so you cannot see the damage. Let's keep it simple...in what way has your smoking dope resulted in any good outcomes?
None of that would be there if it was legal. Studies have proven pot doesn't cause lung cancer. Don't ask me for sources. Look them up yourself. Good outcomes. What good outcomes have come from you picking your nose? Maybe we should outlaw that too. Especially since it isn't hurting anyone else.
Alcohol is one of the worst 'drugs' ever created by man.. It is probably the second largest contributor to human deaths over the centuries next to war, and yet, we think it's a perfectly acceptable form of 'recreation'.. Give me a break and tell it to the woman or little child who's drunken sot of a husband or father beats the crap out of them every time he gets bombed!
The funny thing is, I've never seen anyone go 'ballistic' on pot and want to beat anyone up.. The wrong drug has been legal far too long.. Think we will ever grow up and realize that just by legalizing alcohol we've ALL been a bit responsible for every single death this drug has caused? All the people killed in auto and other vehicle accidents, all the men and women killed by violence by someone under the influence of booze, WE, you and I, have to take some responsibility for.. As long as we refuse to face the fact that by allowing this particular drug that is favored by so many to remain legal, we are in fact ALL contributors to every injury and death caused by it, past, present and future..
Marijuana side effects come from smoking or consuming the drug and marijuana side effects influence the mind and body of the user. Marijuana side effects can be as seemingly innocent as an increased appetite to as life threatening as lung cancer. Increased likelihood for accidents is also one of the marijuana side effects. Studies show that 6 to 11 percent of fatal accidents are contributed to by marijuana side effects.
@craig1955 - Too late, the worst drug of all is already legal - Ethanol, also called ethyl alcohol, pure alcohol, grain alcohol, or drinking alcohol, is a volatile, flammable, colorless liquid. It is a psychoactive drug and one of the oldest recreational drugs. Best known as the type of alcohol found in alcoholic beverages.
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
Marijuana side affects? A pot buzz lasts about 4 hours at the most - its accumulation factor is no where close to the accumulation side affects of anti depressants, anti anxiety meds, ADD meds, alcohol abuse, food abuse, diet pills, diet soda ingredients (my current drug of choice), muscle relaxers, sleeping pills, cigarettes, gambling addiction, shopping addiction/credit card abuse (driving the family into bankruptcy), and much more. Your taxes would be triple if not for sin taxes - all of which you benefit from.
Drugs are a last resort for those seeking an excuse - prove they even used crack that day (I can't stand crack - but it's not the motive to kill). If guns don't kill people, then neither do drugs. People selling tainted drugs or not being educated on how to responsibly use drugs are what kills. Making drugs illegal made the criminals - tribes all over the world have lived in harmony with drugs for centuries.
I know a guy who claimed pot made him want to kill - this is a guy who beat up his 6th grade school bus driver, often beat is wife, fought co-workers, got jealous of anyone who talked to his wife, susspected everyone of something...and all of this was his normal behaviour when totally straight. At a company party, he was drunk and asked our big boss; have you ever killed anyone? Crazy doesn't come from drugs - it is already in your DNA.
Educate your self and stop posting with your emotions...get a grip people, you look foolish posting from an ethos perspective. When a spear chucker has a better understanding of life than you - it's you that has the problems.
Studies show that 85% of all people quoting studies with no references are making up 98% of study results. ref: US Department of Spurious Studies, 1337 jl, 466; BS pro ap2556;87 (2003)
It's really time to just put these two to sleep. The sad thing is that a lawyer will argue in their defense as though they, well, deserve one. Sorry Constitutional hardliners but these guys simply don't. How much evidence do you need before the taxpayers have to support the dog and pony show that reaches the same conclusion but puts a good meal on a lawyers desk? And THEN to make things even more painful these two will get life in prison, so everyone in the state is holding the bag supporting them. The state will spend more keeping them in a cage (which is inhumane) than what they might to send a local kid to an ivy league college for four years or help someone start a small business. Nice trade off. And who wins?
I REALLY wish King George III would have won, sometimes. Seriously. Only a monarch with real power could trump the small, legal brains that allow tragedies like these continue to be tragedies. These guys just need to be gone off this Earth. Nothing humiliating or painful, just a quiet end to some very sad lives.
If King George had won our current Parliament would be just as corrupt and we'd be calling our current PM a socialist. We'd also have a Labour Party, true socialized medicine and be driving on the left side of the road. And absolutely we'd be screaming about getting rid of the damned Monarchy! Why should our taxes...blah, blah, blah.....
Greed is a real motivator of murder...as my mom would say when she was alive; when the economy is bad, America goes to war. Greed; the worst of all the sins.
I pledge allegiance to a country that kills for profit...lol...smoke that.
@Lusitania - Bundy didn't do drugs. He killed rampantly. Many people do drugs and never kill anyone. I don't buy the "drugs made me do it" bs. These two are setting up their defense - finger pointing at the other and employing the commonly used drugs made me do it defense.
drainbranage: "When a spear chucker has a better understanding of life than you - it's you that has the problems". -from your comment. Seems as youre the one with much to learn-THAT is quite an ignorant and insulting statement. I would rather comment based on emotion, than be a bigot.
@braindamage - Your screen name is fitting. Grow up and put down the crack pipe - America didn't kill this woman. Neither did greed. There were no ransom demands. This poor lady was snatched, raped and murdered by two violent, disgusting individuals for the sheer thrill of it.
MJL-3- I hate arguing with friends but then that's what true friends are for.
If you smoke cigarettes you are using a drug. The drug is called nicotine and it is addictive. Cigarettes are a method of delivering nicotine. Using cigarettes does NOT automatically lead to other drug use. I have smoked marijuana for over 30 years and have never had a desire to do "harder drugs" and never have.
If everybody that uses cocaine started with smoking cigarettes that does NOT mean that everybody who smokes cigarettes will end up using other drugs. Just as everybody who drinks alcohol will not become an alcoholic.
I have always believed that certain people have "addictive personalities" and that it is easier for them to become addicted to various substances or behaviors.
Anybody's use of any drug does not necessarily lead to further drug use but of course it can.
Drugs have no positive effects. They just make you look older while killing yourself. Also, some people better watch what they say on bloggs. The government agencies track what you type.
When beer commercials come on and at the end they say "drink responsibly", I can't help but get sarcastic, sure like everyone I hung out with, drank responsibly, most every night, then everyone drove themselves home. That's real responsible. I rode with people who weaved all over the rode, would have blackouts, etc. It was only by God's grace my boyfriend ( now my husband has been clean and sober for 23 years) and I (clean and sober for 10 years) didn't kill someone or kill ourselves. I remember, one time I was so drunk I decided to be responsible and have a friend follow me home. I believed I had drove a straight line home. When I parked she ran over to inform me I had weaved all over the road and almost went into a ditch. I was stunt because I knew she was telling me the truth. I never drove drunk again and I never road with anyone loaded again. It took a long time to realize I had a problem. I was on narcotics, alcohol and pot. I should be dead, but again by God's grace I'm alive and deeply thankful that God pulled "me out of the miry pit". I should of ended up like Whitney Houston and all the rest of celebrities and those unknown, dead from an over dose. Each time I read or hear about someone who died due to drugs, I weep, because it didn't have to happen. It is a sad commentary on our society.
Last time...there is not a one of you who can defend the use of "recreational" drugs based upon the "good" because basically, there is none...no good reason or purpose for recreational use...AT ALL. Aside from the fact that it may help a person suffering from cancer or glaucoma (which most of you aren't) you have no valid points to warrant legalizing recreational drugs. Your recreational drug use is selfish and it can be demonstrated that it is unsafe to a populace not directly involved with your "using." Innocent people are exposed to the possibility of becoming collateral damage when drugs are being produced, transported, sold, bought, and USED. Parents who use expose their kids, children who use expose their siblings and friends, etc. But it's okay! Everybody does it...right? It's not harmful. I'm not hurting anybody! Those are things you have to say to yourselves because you use recreational drugs and people around you are just going to have to deal with it...right? Keep telling yourself that because it's all you have to justify your using and your own selfish intentions. At least have some integrity and say it...I the user don't really care about anybody else...I'm going to use...now let's hit the fast food joint.
And you are so high up in your tower of human perfection, so perfect in the fact that you have never used one single recreational drug (this most definitely includes nicotine and alcohol) that you can post the above comment without a trace of hypocrisy. Right?
Didn't mean to offend you. Nobody perfect here, neither are most people living in a hypocritical fashion (though we love to throw that word around). No high horse, only have a shetland pony. (Besides busting balls) just stating the point in such a way as to cut through the BS so that people will at least be a little honest with themselves. Cigarettes, alcohol, weed, makes little difference in the argument, they participate in risky behaviors that involves others. But, I promise, if marijuana is legalized, cross my heart and hope to die...I will not complain (or even lobby against it), but the pro/con argument would probably remain the same.
However, regarding the matter of perfection, I'm sure it would surprise you that I, yes, even I, have made a mistake. Once last year when I thought I was wrong about something, turned out I was right, so I was wrong about being wrong. It happens to all of us. (Humor).
Crack Cocaine didn't cause the nut to crack. Clearly the guy under the influence still knew the difference between right and wrong, because he sought to cover up the crime. Crack didn't CAUSE the outburst of violence. He would have done it either way. People turn to substances for the strength to perform an act that they already have the desire to perform.
So please knock it off with the proposed prohibition laws. We tried that once, remember? It didn't work. But just to humor sarcastus, out in the woods and all the others, let's say we try to ban alcohol and spend even more money on the war on drugs. So now rather than regulating the substances using safer ingredients than what they are normally laced with on the streets and collecting revenue on sin taxes, we continue to hemorrhage tax payer money trying to control the black market, spiking border violence. Don't forget the toxic chemicals used to cut cocaine which comes with the higher risk of violent or fatal reactions. And now that alcohol is banned, we get to deal with bathtub gin and other dodgy homemade concoctions. Since people can't buy alcohol to drink at home there will be more drunks on the road just coming from speakeasies.
Expect an increase in the crime & death rates in your idealistic little fantasy world where drugs and alcohol don't exist.... scratch that. They DO exist. We just have much less control over them, and it doesn't hinder the use one little bit. While we are at it why don't we put a blanket ban on guns and just give the drug lords in Mexico one more commodity to use as an excuse to kill & kidnap people? Your idea of giving them MORE power is super smart!
"So please knock it off with the proposed prohibition laws." Lolly, you seem a little frustrated from reading all the junk you had to read in order to get to this place. Actually, I'm not suggesting "prohibition" because prohibition for most recreational drugs is already in place. It is already illegal to engage in (most forms) of recreational drug usage. MY POINT was that there are no positive benefits associated with recreational drug usage that would warrant their legalization. Again, even your post reflects the same types of empty arguments. "They DO exist" = "We are going to use them." Okay, fine, use them...I was just trying to get people to acknowledge the fact that if you use drugs, you engage in a risky behavior that puts others at risk (bystanders.) The people who use recreational drugs involve others without consent. People who use drugs put others at risk.
You are absolutely correct: "it doesn't hinder the use on little bit". That's right...only YOU can hinder their use, but, you and I know that you will not choose to do so; and that is because either you cannot see how it affects others or you do not care that it affects others and your getting high is simply more important than any other aspects.
I appreciate the concern you have for the "bystanders" to my recreational drug use but you waste your time with that concern. You act as if every drinker or pot smoker immediately gets in their car and races 80mph the wrong way down the freeway. Tragically that does happen way too often. In Illinois recently that exact situation occurred. But there are people who come home after a rough day at work and will twist and burn one or mix a stiff scotch on the rocks, kick off their shoes, sit back and relax, recreate or veg out with the magic box, never exposing any other people to their activities, before or after. This happens way more often than you seem to realize.
Further, if the herb being smoked is being grown in one of the more and more prevalent indoor "grow houses" with no middle man between grower and user, you cannot use the usual damage to society, border smugglers, narco gang murders etc.,etc., etc. to claim damage to others. Extreme drug use is bad like any extreme behavior can be bad. But I will end with this thought: If every recreational drug (this includes nicotine and caffeine) disappeared tomorrow, humanity would destroy itself within 5 years. There is a reason man has been growing hemp for 3,000 years and it is not just for fiber.
I'm really not opposed to recreational drug usage. I'm not accusing people of being "irresponsible." However, recreational drug usage cannot be argued "to the good", people cannot say that I might use but everybody else is "safe". Users can minimize the risks, to be sure, but they cannot eliminate the risks. Our behavior exposes others to what we do in almost every instance. If children are around, sleeping in bed, they are exposed. If I grew my own weed, in my own greenhouse, smoked it in my house with no children around, and just mellowed until I was straight, there would still be risk. "What ifs" are the problem. What if some kid gets into my green house, for example, and helps himself to my pot? Then there is that pesky problem of it still being illegal. The point is that recreational drug usage requires a certain amount of disregard for others and will always have inherent risks: simple as that. There is just no way of making a case that recreational drug use is good for society. "I shouldn't be arrested just because I want to smoke dope." Does that statement really make sense to you? Granted, you grow your own (still illegal but with less exposure and risk), but most peope buy it from unlicensed vendors, (more exposure and risk). But I still should not be arrested, I ain't hurtin nobody.
And I never said anything about "blanket statements" of stopping everything. Quit getting so frustrated. You're going to use, I get that, just take responsibility when responsibility belongs to you. You are not doing something innocent that does not affect no one else around you...it does, it's unavoidable.
Sarcasticus" You and I will have to agree to disagree. I am afraid I will never agree with your point of view nor you with mine. The greatness of America manifest!!!
Over a decade ago, a San Francisco cop used the excessive consumption of Twinkies as a defense to 1st degree murder of a gay Councilman of SF. It worked; he got off lightly.
Apparently, this guy is using the cocaine defense. Since cocaine is more potent than Twinkies, he should be acquitted of 1st degree and convicted at most involuntary manslaughter. Cops should not be the only one eligible for wild and exotic defenses.
Kellyann; it is your interpretation that I used the term "spear chucker" in a derogatory way - I'd love to be one of those spear chuckers - it is clear they are far more advanced than the so called civilized human.
One of the primary messages of WRT 101; is there are many ways to interpret the written word - in other words you determine the message - in Kellyann's case - her interpretation of my massage, was way off. I was acknowledging that I don't have all the understanding that a spear chucker has - but I have way more understanding than Kelly does.
As for Lucifers tool; look at your own name...lmao. I don't own any crack pipes - but, how is it that you know crack is consumed with a pipe? I doubt these guys were even on crack - they claimed they were, but no evidence exists that that was really the case. I think the one guy just said that because he thinks that by saying that, it provides him with some kind of acceptable excuse. We haven't even heard from the other guy - using drugs as an excuse is a last resort...and one that does not excuse you from committing a crime.
If all the evidence comes in and points to what this story describes, then Waters should be executed and Spell should get life. Hopefully, Waters would not spend 10 years on death row.
They should both be hanged with a thin cord....make it slow and easy. That way they get the same effect of choking......human trash like this will never change. The taxpayers should NOT have to pay to keep Spell alive. He chose to do the drugs and he chose his friend. He is just as responsible. 100%
Sadly, they now face 20 years minimum, and endless legal representation, and health care, and counseling, and you name it, on the backs of Montana taxpayers.
Personally, I think they should be fed into a woodchipper...Monday morning...on some national news show. They could call it the "Monday Morning Reminder"
They always do spend that long on death row. I would love to have them thrown in the slammer for life. They are too dangerous to walk streets of any city.
Strangled her, then buried her......I say we don't strangle them.......just toss them in a box, drop it in a hole, cover with concrete....Buried alive....just in case the teacher wasn't quite dead when they buried her.....
Geez. This guy was found in my state just very few miles from where we reside. There aren't many main highways or interstates to have traffic enough to get a ride. Don't EVER give a hitcher a ride. I know you all know that already but sometimes when it's 20 below or 100 above and they're trudging along the road, some people take pity. You never know what people are capable of. I hope they get what they deserve. Murdering crazies that they are!
Spell has a prior sexual offense, he should be executed. Both should be executed.
Neither one of these two will admit to the rape and they definitely raped this poor woman. Does MT have special circumstances? These two tossed her clothes in the trash prior to burying her, why was she out of her clothes unless a sexual offense was committed. This isn't a simple case of "I wanted to kill someone" it was more insidious.
They likely raped her. But what is overlooked and says more about their character is how they returned the shovel. They f&n murdered a woman, likely raped her, buried her and said, 'yeah, we deserve a refund from Walmart on that shovel.' AND THEN the guy goes and tells his girlfriend. WHY would anyone tell someone else something like that and WHEN would you tell someone like that? After breakfast? After sex? As a confession for some kind of undeserved forgiveness? To intimidate? Why?
These guys need a quick trip to the lethal injection table. They deserve much worse and heaven knows the state doesn't deserve to have to support them in a cage for life.
What I'd LOVE to see in my lifetime is a condition in legal wills where one could state how they would like their murderer treated. Seriously. Because if someone ever murdered me like that I would DEFINITELY want them off this Earth for good and I wouldn't want there to be a single doubt about that in any jury's mind.
My heart goes out to this lady and her friends and family! All she wanted to do that morning is exercise-take care of herself-just so two lowlifes, who chose not to take care of themselves, could kill her. Lowlifes that chose to become addicts. Yes, in my opinion, addiction is a choice before becoming an addiction. The only exception is if someone literally held a gun to anothers head thereby forcing them to smoke crack or shoot up. As for death row-that is a joke! These slimeballs now have more rights than their victim-then all of us. Thank you bleeding hearts!! Kindly keep this in mind before ostracizing me and my opinion-this is for the bleeding hearts-would you want either of these "men" living with you or near you? If you answer yes and mean it, ostracize away. If not, then I do not wish to hear it. Thank you.
How about a condition in the law whereby lawyers who successfully get a life sentence rather than death for guys like have to spend 50% of their pay to continue supporting them?
@MovingOut - Yeah I caught the shovel thing, made my skin crawl. I'm sure they were hoping the shovel would be resold leaving the authorities without that particular piece of evidence - it shows premeditiation.
@Kellyann67 - It's all good to be a bleeding heart when their loved one isn't involved. These types of people, more often than not, are the first to scream for the death penalty when a violent crime is perpetrated on one of their own.
Da devil maked me do it. Yeah, right. Who made you smoke the crack? Cretin. The death penalty is too good for you. Too bad the teacher didn't have a Glock so that she'd be alive and you'd be rotting by the side of the road. Do us all a favor and cut your throat. Furthermore, nobody cares that you felt remorse. What does that have to do with anything? You had already taken a life worth millions of your lousy life. It is too late. Just shut up and die.
You had already taken a life worth millions of your lousy life.
You are so right! So many piece of &%$# people abuse good kind people because they have f-ed up their own miserable filthy lives so badly. I, too, wish she had been armed! These men need to rot in prison forever.
Likely will only die of OLD AGE! Wyoming instituted the death penalty in 1976, and has executed just one person since. Does anyone really believe that Wyoming has such law-abiding citizens that only one in 36 years deserved to be executed for their crime(s)?
To Pray Hard;I can understand your frustration and I can Mostly feel for the teachers fam. But looking at your name,do honestlty think that is what God is saying?Im not defending this crimminal but he also deserves to be forgiven,Right???
Maybe they didn't kill her in Montana, maybe they picked her up in Montana, killed and dumped her in Wyoming (a hop skip and jump away), but they won't reveal where her body is because they know Wyoming has the death penalty and Montana doesn't .
I think when anyone commits an egregious act like this that it doesn't matter that they are mentally ill or not. You take a life--you get your life taken away from you-period.
No amount of money or time in jail makes up for that.
You're absolutely right. I wish everyone on the right side of the law would pack... it might even the odds a little! As for this crack-smoking loser, I hope he rots!!
Roland, we can forgive and forget but we have no obligation to keep these people around us, nor does it make sense to keep them locked in a cage. Let God do all the forgiving up in heaven. These two don't deserve to be on Earth. If they do they should be in your house, under your care and responsibility. If you can't own it then maybe you'll agree they need to be put to sleep. No humiliation, no anger or retribution, just the fact that there is nothing left for them here on Earth. We can't just ship them to Australia OR forget the fact that they took an innocent life, violently, in the most horrid way. When does the victim get to speak on their behalf? If someone did that to me I'd hope God seriously hurt them and at the very least that they didn't get any more time on Earth than I did. What more right than you or I do they have and should we give them? Doesn't God give us the right to decide who stays and who goes? Seems he gave that right to these killers. We have the same right to say these awful people must leave. God gave us that and it seems he'd hope we had the sense to use it. unless you really believe God thinks we should allow murderers and rapists to mingle freely amongst us.
Pray Hard all that her carrying a Glock would have accomplished would have been to provide 2 killers with a free and unregistered gun to get high and use to kill someone else.
So this woman is doing her own thing jogging before dawn and these two guys abduct and choke her to death! They are the scum of the earth! may she rest in peace.
"The Devil made me do it." "It was the drugs." "I didn't mean to." "My daddy didn't love me." "I'm poor." "I'm was abused." "People laughed at me.".......Just another sorry sack of @!$%# with the same excuses.
I've seen a lot of good people's lives get destroyed by coke and meth, but I know literally thousands upon thousands of people who have used them WITHOUT raping and killing someone. Drugs and alcohol just remove the thin veneer of humanity one has exposing that persons true nature, if you are a cold blooded killer down deep, booze and drugs will bring that to the surface.
I worked in the oil field and can tell you one thing for sure, there are are whole lot of drugs and hookers following the rigs from one boom town to the next. I drove the 80 miles one way everyday so I didn't have to live in the man camp and put up with the constant party. These guys will stay up for days at a time tweaking,, they are literally capable of anything. I remember one summer the "town" of Wamsutter had a street dance, 100 oilfield workers, 50 railroad hands and two sluts who worked at the bar, it wasn't a pretty site, more than half the rigs were shorthanded the next day, two people had to be life flighted to Utah.
If the oil companies get their way this circus will be drilling in a town or state park near you very soon.
So true. What's even more absurd is that there are folks out there who would ask for light punishment and mercy for people like this, even after they admit to taking someone else's rights away form them. The woman they killed was an asset to the community and society as a whole. She contributed every day. These guys took her away from us. People like these guys really dont deserve an ounce of mercy and I say they gave up their human rights. Treat them with the savagery that they treated their victim...or other victim's. She may not be the only one they have ever done this to.
Did they actually rape her dead body? Because it said they 'choked her out' but there was no report that she had been raped...despite the story concluding with them ditching her clothing. Reading 'between the lines' is fundamentally necessary I guess.
The taxpayer funded attorney for this sicko will make him sound like a choir boy who's life was destroyed by an evil parent or some other such nonsense. Then he'll ask for lenient treatment.
I'd suggest being just as lenient as he was with is victim.
No it was not, LOL, it was two of the roughnecks, every male in the place started to fight over who was going to get to dance with the two women who were brave enough to show up, pool cues and beer bottles started it of then knives and guns ended it, the sheriff called in the state troopers because it got too rough for him to handle. I didnt go I just saw the aftermath the next day. I stretched the truth a bit, I don't think there were more than fifty guys there total, this was pretty early in the boom so there couldn't have been but five or six rigs drilling out there at that time. Wamsutter really isn't a town, it's a truck stop, a bar and some trailers next to the big BP facility. It was quite an experience working for satan to say the least. You have to expect a rough crowd when you do that kind of work in places nicknamed "siberia rig" and "desolation flat", it's not for everybody thats for sure.
Authorities identified Waters and Spell as suspects after a tipster on January 11 called a police hotline to say that Spell's girlfriend in Colorado said that he had told her that he and Waters "picked up a lady walking along the road, killed her, and then buried her," the affidavit says.
One of the saving graces of many serial killers is that they lack the intelligence to keep their mouths shut. If this guy, Spell, had not told his girlfriend about the crime, and she, in turn, had not told a third party [who tipped the police], chances are nobody would have caught them.
Here's a question for the women out there: If your boyfriend tells you that he and a buddy just kidnapped and murdered a woman, pretty much for the hell of it, isn't time to split the blanket and find a new boyfriend?
I'm with you dano (marijuana) but Ron Paul would legalize ALL drugs....
Chris Wallace asked him:
“Are you suggesting that heroin and prostitution are an exercise of liberty?”
After tripping up a little, Rep. Paul replied “yes,” then found himself arguing in favor of legalizing heroin, asking, “if we legalize heroin tomorrow, is everyone is going use heroin? How many people here would use heroin if it were legal?” The question was greeted with cheers, to which Wallace replied with a smile, “I never thought heroin would get an applause in South Carolina.”
Drugs DID NOT do this!!! The idiot that did this wanted to to kill a women, any woman would have done. If drugs were really involved half the planet would be affected with all those murders due to drugs. This is a copout, a ruse, crap. Just think anyone who uses drugs beside maryjane will commit murder. YA HUH!!!!
I had friends that did while I drank beer...They didn't act any different that I did. Just sayin...I'm 64 now and guess I otta try some before I die..??
Anyone who says guns don't kill people, people kill people. Same goes for drugs. NO drug "makes" you kill... As far as that goes, alcohol has been a factor in more murders and crimes in general than all other drugs combined, so that's where your prohibition logic gets you. Prohibition has killed more people, ruined more lives and families than legalized drugs ever could. It's persecution of a minority and one of the Great Injustices Of Our Time....Seriously people, if you're for prohibition you're as bad as a racist and as blind as the Germans were to nazi propaganda in the 30's. Wake up before prohibition destroys your family or loved one's life.
Jo-Ann, could you tell me though, how has the illegal status of drugs decreased or prevented it's use. I don't use them, not because it's illegal, but because I don't want to. Those that use them don't care if they are illegal. All we've accomplished is to give them 3 cots and a hot and then send them back out to do it again, all cleaned up and ready for the next round. Just let them have ALL THEY CAN USE. They won't last long with NO restraints. Maybe they could even buy them with their food stamps....oh, wait, they already do!
Sashia, First, let me clarify, I don't use marijuana myself, makes me paranoid, but I am a child of the 70's.
IMO smoking pot is no worse than drinking, that said, I think it should be taxed heavily, (that alone would probably put our economy back on track) regulated, and have the same laws as alcohol use. If it were legal, we would cut back on all the DRUG WARS on the borders.
And, drug use needs to be decriminalized! We don't need to be locking up people with addictions, we need to be helping them.
this is why you can't legalize drugs. these hard drugs have side effects that cannot be considered as normalized. alcohol is bad enough if you lose just one child to its effects in drunk driving. forget cocaine and heroin.
you are not too bright...drugs don't 'make' people do anything. You are a defense attorney's wet dream. Just buy anything this writer is selling. This person was fantasizing about doing this to a woman for some time. This is a person who hates women. Many of the woman-haters just act out in ways such as working to take away women's' rights. But some of them have to cross the line and actually attack and kill women.
And you just buy whatever they tell you. Critical thinking would help.
Prohibition makes it far easier to get drugs than a regulated market. (it's easier for kids to get crack than beer-no ID required). And this is intentional. It's called the prison-industrial complex...it's about money and oppression of lower classes.
So you folks think these guys would have been model citizens if they had been prevented from using drugs (as if prohibition could prevent it, which it obviously could not). If drugs were legal and this happened I could see where the prohibition people are coming from, but we already have prohibition, have for nearly a century. Tried it with booze and created organized crime, ever got rid of it cuz we only legalized the booze and they went to the drugs. Without illegal drugs, cartels, crime lords, etc etc would all be out of business, no crme war in mexico. millions of lives ad billions of dollars saved. You people are morons.
nobody ever talked of legalizing crack. More murder are commited by drunks than any other drug combined there is a thing called cocaine leaf the natives been chewing for thousands of years.
tidus: Many, many people on the vine talk about legalizing ALL drugs. Please read the comments.
You may be right about murders, I don't know. But Alcohol is now in third place in all problems caused. Illegal drugs are in first place, and legal drugs are in second.
All time damage to society winner is alcohol hands down. The problem caused by illegal drugs is measured in crime statistics, which includes simple use as a crime. Make them legal and that statistic drops precipitously. (no cartel violece, street dealers off the street regulated access regarding kids, etc etc. it's a no brainer. I repeat "Prohibition has killed more people, ruined more lives and families than legalized drugs ever could. It's persecution of a minority and one of the Great Injustices Of Our Time....Seriously people, if you're for prohibition you're as bad as a racist and as blind as the Germans were to nazi propaganda in the 30's. Wake up before prohibition destroys your family or loved one's life."
so now what? he confesses then gets life at my expense?/ hell no!! i say we hang him in the town square with a huge portrait of the victim.....but hang him slow so that he suffers just like his victim......make it a public event.selling ballons, cotton candy and beer......,thats the way it should be done.nobody asked that son-of-a-bitch to smoke crack did they??
And the pro-death penalty candidates tend to be a bit to the right for my tastes concerning such things as abortion and stem cells and sweet, sweet 8 lb. baby Jesus.
We need moderate politicians that are pro-choice and pro-death penalty. Either that or we need a more educated voting public that will bother to get out there and make their preferences known.
The reason for him stating remorse so he could have a possibility of getting out of prison on parole after serving 5 years. Once they let him out he can and will kill again. Ask Joseph Duncan, he'll tell ya.
Pete, actually, we need pro-life people in power. I would also say that generally, the pro-life conservative crowd IS more educated and ARE making their preferences known!
Did I read that right? Did it say the shovel boughtat Walmart, was Returned to Walmart. That was how the cops got it? What? Did these guys actually return the shovel to get back the money? What did they say? We were only able to bury 1 woman with this shovel, it is defective. Their families must be so proud of them.
I noticed that too. Walmart has a very lenient return policy; buy a shovel, bury a body, wipe it clean and return it. Now comes the answer to your query; use the money to buy more crack. Sorry, BB, Denny's would be like #6 on their list. Gotta have more crack!!!!! Yes, let's legalize drugs, that will solve all the problems. Just in case some do not get the sarcasm of the last statement, these guys were not looking to score or even get money. They were crazed drug addicts who decided it would be fun to kill a contributing member of society, just because the older guy was so freaking weird that women shunned him.
This is just one story out of thousands out there. Very sad.
The bottom line, make these drugs legal so no need to sneak around for the drugs, no need for drug cartel, assassinating your competitors, or tunneling along the borders,etc...etc...etc....
They legalized MJ in Long Beach, CA. They charged thousands to open up a "dispensary," one of which opened around the corner from where I live. After that the medical users were apparently in so much pain that they couldn't wait to walk/drive Home but grabbed their stash, smoked it and threw their plastic containers on my property. I noticed something interesting about the containers as apposed to real pill containers from a real pharmacy... there was no information about the dispensary, the "patient", the drug (type, amount, usage). IF medical MJ is actually needed, why isn't this Federally mandated information (required on real medicine) on the containers for MJ? My reasoning is that medical MJ almost always is a smoke screen for getting stoned. Long Beach is now getting rid of this poorly thought out law. This will get the lawyers more money.
I believe that if someone wants to get stoned, they will. But man up, buy American or grow your own (4 plants or less)... if you want to get some tax, charge for a license to grow (use a picture ID) and put some teeth into the laws regarding the use of MJ and driving. AND quit using someones decision to use ANY TYPE of drug as an excuse to drive/work under the influence, rob, kidnap, and/or murder.
so how does alcohol fit into this equation? they tried to ban it and it created the organized crime gangsters of the 30s. now they have legalized it. The problem doesn't go away because it is illegal, and it doesn't get worse because it is legal. Making it illegal makes the cost of the drug go up which creates incentives to maim, murder, and everything else that goes along with the illegal drug trade. It was estimated at the turn of the century that about 3% of the population tried legal drugs. In the hundred years since they outlawed narcotics, the drug abuse population has remained at about 3% Legal or not, I wouldn't put narcotics in my body, but it is a choice I would make for myself. Making criminals out of teenagers and giving them a life-long rap sheet that never goes away for a stupid mistake they made when they were too young to know the long-term ramifications of a drug bust is a bit harsh for smoking a little weed - in my opinion. And to be honest with you, for every bust, there has to be hundreds that do not get busted. I think Ron Paul has it right - tax it and make money off of it and eliminate the illegal drug trade.
Right, terryware ! If those lowlives could have gotten their hands on he drugs sooner, they would have killed sooner. Great way of thinking. Is this an example of drug-induced logic ? Legalizing drugs would do nothing to stop drug cartels. They already have some more addictive stuff out there, which is so strong that it would be illegal and - whoopee- there is the new market for illegal drugs.
I have first had information which leads me to believe you are incorrect. My girlfriend, an RN, put her mother on MJ PRIOR to her chemo treatments. It helped her. She could keep her food down and felt better than she had previously without the MJ. (She passed away.)
"so how does alcohol fit into this equation?" Once again, I repeat: put some teeth into the laws regarding the use of MJ and driving. AND quit using someones decision to use ANY TYPE of drug as an excuse to drive/work under the influence, rob, kidnap, and/or murder. You are aware that alcohol is a Drug, aren't you?
"The drugs aren't legal, but they got them anyway. Murder is illegal, but she died anyway. You can't legislate morality. People break laws." Couldn't agree with you more: But man up, buy American or grow your own (4 plants or less). AND quit using someones decision to use ANY TYPE of drug as an EXCUSE to drive/work under the influence, rob, kidnap, and/or murder. You made the decision, now pay the price.
Yes, let's legalize drugs, that will solve all the problems. These guys were not looking to score or even get money. They were crazed drug addicts who decided it would be fun to kill a contributing member of society, just because the older guy was so freaking weird that women shunned him.
Legalize pot, cocaine leaf any natural plant has a right to grow anywhere .. any drug even a prescription is a drug.. gas.. we can't put billions a year into trying to eradicate when we need billions in rehab and educating our kids.. I'm against drugs but smart enough to know to win the battle its through education and love. Not over 500 billion a year lost in courts and military chasing natives through the jungle.. and cops shaking down every black man.
I agree to a point that people break laws. But you can minimize the crime by having less alcohol use; less DUI, DWI; less crack / cocaine use, guns, swords knifes, carjacking....etc..etc.. Too many to list here just to keep crime to a minimum.
Give him a look at that special crack he loves so well.....No, better yet....let him see a picture of his vicitim just before they pump him with an overdose of potassium.
Throw the two in prison, give the other prisoners some crack and bring the devil out in them, let them have at these two pieces of human excrement, and if they are not dead when it is over, give 'em a few hundred volts of electricity. End of story!
I have an idea that might stop most of the drugs users. Every time the cops make a huge drug bust, just lace the drugs with fast acting poison, then let the dealer peddle it. Sooner of later, no druggies left, or to scared to try the drugs again.
Might take awhile, and some people would be upset, by hey, it would stop innocent people from being killed by druggies.
That's not a bad idea. I have absolutely NO sympathy for drug users. You knew the consequences when you tried it, and then continued to use it. Users should be held just as much accountable as their dealers.
so because the moron claims that the crack "brought out the devil in him" means all drugs are bad? obviously he was already bad. If all drugs were legal and regulated then you would have to get a prescription for them and they would be clean and consistant. would that have stopped this loon, no. If someone is bent that way it doesnt matter, I'm sure that alcohol, glue, prescription drugs or cough medicine would have brought out the devil in him as well.
which of the worst mass murderers in history had a drug problem? none
AZ Tumbleweed - "It doesn't work. During prohibition, the government did exactly that. They poisoned alcohol and killed many drinkers. The idiots kept drinking."
Prove that the government poisoned alcohol... I know that lack of standards for bathtub booze caused deaths but I've never heard that the Federal Govmt actually promoted poisoning.
Another example of government aided poisoning is the FDA requiring refillable Rxs narcotics to have Tylenol (TM)/acetaminophen included with the narcotic. This sometimes results in acetaminophen poisoning when the user accidentally or otherwise ends up Overdosing on acetaminophen.
The government further denatured industrial alcohol not the drinking alcohol like beer and wine. Bootleggers would "renature" the denatured industrial alcohol and sell it. The government responded by forcing the industrial alcohol producers to make the denaturing process even more deadly.
You make it sound like the government seized a bunch of barrels of beer, poisoned them, then allowed them to be sold. It poisoned alcohol not sold for human consumption. Denatured alcohol at the store, you know, rubbing alcohol, is still poisonous. Does that mean we are still being poisoned by the government? It's the same thing except no one is trying to renature it and sell it as drinking booze.
Dear AZ Tumbleweed: Don't do drugs or drink. Just thought I'd ask but if you can't stand a simple question... whatever.
Sorry, I have to go back to my books now. In the process of getting my Health Info Degree - Anatomy and Physiology this semester. I think this is a more important activity than proving you correct or incorrect.
Tumbleweed, I read the article you refer to. The govt DID NOT seize "potable" alcohol, poison it and return it to the market. The article was VERY CLEAR on this point. They added more poisons to INDUSTRIAL alcohols, to discourage theft and conversion to "potable" form. Oddly, the crooks who stole this stuff didn't seem to care, can you imagine that?
You may not lie, but you can distort quite nicely, from what I can see.
What a waste of humanity...we are losing so many to the drugs that affect not only the addicts but everyone around them. My sympathies to the victim's family and my hopes for the death penalty for the preps...
We have become a world of people that have forgotten the basic rule of choices have consequences, good or bad. If you make bad choices, the consequences are bad. Bad things happen to good people, without a doubt but this story is just an example of bad choices and the consequences should be just as bad. Nothing will bring back the victim but that does not change the fact that these two irresponsible "humans" made extremely bad choices which cost an innocent person and family greatly. The consequence, whether the perpetrators are remorseful or not, should be relative to the crime and that can only be loss of life, for both - not just one. Since their choice was straggling, that should be their sentence. They chose this path when they chose to become drugged.
Take another look at what the oil industry is doing to the communities in the area. Time to re-organize so the resources build the communities around them instead of tear them apart and benefit a few rich barons who don't live there. Then take a look at how Norway handles their resources and what it does for the entire country. (Start at wikipedia's article on Norway, Resources section.)
The notion that cocaine can bring out the worst in a man is not new. Robert Louis Stevenson wrote the The Strange Case of Doctor Jeckle and Mister Hyde confined to his bedroom in seven days under the influence of self injected cocaine. It's not hard to see what Mister Hyde really represents.
Someone writes a great novel, someone else commits senseless murder, the difference in outcome is more in the nature of the users, not in the nature of the drug.
I would call them animals, but animals do not just kill for the fun of it. People like this need a fast conviction and a really quick death........oh, I know lets just choke them out. Fast, effective and cheap. They are not worth the money it will cost to have the trial.
But Tory ll, don't you know that'll turn society in a Wild West if we allow people to carry guns on their person? That blood will run in the streets??....
Hmmm, odd. That doesn't seem to be what's happening. People doing concealed carry seem to be remarkably well behaved. We're not seeing the gun battles that were supposed to happen in fits of road rage. Could it be that maybe---just maybe, mind you---that we need to re-think this concealed carry thingy?
Women should not have to curtail their lives because of these 2. I vote for guns. Mace & pepper spray don't always stop drug induced freaks. A shot to the head or heart will. 9mm or .38 Special would be an excellent coice, but if recoil sensitivty is a problem, a .380 or .32 ACP will work at close range, if you're practised enough to always get the head or heart shot.
I managed to get my hands on a .45 and I went out into public thinking I could protect myself. Instead, I felt the urge to knock someone off a moped. I kicked the crap out of them before taking their moped.
As I was driving the tiny bike down the road I saw a sweet car...a pristine Sultan RS. I grabbed the guy out of his car and he tried to fight so I had to break out the .45 and put him down.
I had to run away from the cops. I specifically remember Black Sabbath's "Heaven and Hell" being played on the radio... Anyway, I couldn't shake them so I had to drive onto a tourist helicopter tarmac and steal a helicopter to get away.
All because of that darn gun that was supposed to protect me. If I didn't have that gun, maybe I would have just hit someone with a baseball bat and probably could have gotten away from the cops on foot.....
I don't remember any mention of a gun being used to kidnap this woman, but I do remember the guy stating the cocaine made the devil come out of him. I'm not sure what your point is but if your advocating banning hand guns or legalizing drugs, forget it. The idea of so many guns being owned by law abiding citizens keeps more people from becoming victims and keeps our government in check just as illegal drugs do.
Hey Willy J, you should have jacked a car and headed to the south end of Liberty City where the construction cranes are set up. Then you could have climbed to the top and entered the all weapons code and rained down death and destruction with impunity. I've done it for like half an hour before I got tired of wasting cops and blowing up helicopters. Wow this discussion has gone off track, LOL!
Seriously though, make all drugs and guns legal so we can start weeding out the gene pool. Life is too safe as it is.
I remember reading somewhere something about a practice that kept the Cherokee Community safe... whenever anyone Lied (lost the truth in their words), it was the responsibility of the "best friend" to take an arrow and straight through the Heart as an act of Love. You see, the friend and the whole Community knew that the Community is broken, when we no longer live in our Truth.
When you're an Individual, and ONLY an Individual, you no longer need Truth... just more money to buy drugs and have a party and "take" whatever you want... until you're caught-- (looks like the story here) --
How many people do YOU know that have lied, just to "fit in" -- My sense about the killer is that he was nothing less than a zombie being "controlled -- bullied -- etc". What his option out was, I don't know, but he should've considered it LONG before this truck ride took place... maybe about the time, the party began for Ms. Cocaine
The other Cherokee story I found interesting is that there were Peace Villages that were sacred. IF you had committed a crime like this AND the nearest kin caught you, DOA... no questions, no need for justice,... etc. IF the killer (in this case) could make it to the Peace Village in "one piece", they were allowed to live, but were required to be IN the Peace Village for a minimum of ONE year (more if things were out of hand). From the stories I have heard, this person was also responsible now for the Harm s/he had done "to the family" of the person they had killed (meaning they had to support them with food, clothes, shelter etc.) NOT the community supporting the killer. Sometimes it worked out, other times they had to leave this community because they were now shunned...
What have we done with a system that forsakes God in any form (we've even booted God out of the educating classrooms) created an agency, that wants to make sure that when you fly high like an Angel, that you don't carry too many things AND need to have your Body touched (in some cases sodomized) in ALL the private places. We're looking to "be sure"...
It used to be, the mom, the doctor and a few other Medical Practitioners were the ones allowed to do this (not talking about hugs and kisses... are we). But today we don't protect the Highways (imagine psych and drug testing every TRUCK driver on the road... when they "gas up" OR when they "start up", how many would be able to keep their licenses? mind alone their jobs). They have pee and shower stations at many of these now -- what's different from this versus a TSA ??
How about the Waterways (how many Boat/Tug/Ferry Captains?), the Railways?..the Bikeways (yes we now have dedicted bike paths), the Skiways, the Subways (take a salad with that one.. :-)--
Lots' of things to be said, but the simpler of these is who's the person that no longer gets to put the pillow next to her head (the Math teacher) and say I love you each and every night, when they go to bed. ( -- was it a child, a cat, a dog, a lover, a partner, a parent...?, a grandparent, a great aunt -- )
You see in a violent, angry culture -- drugs is not the cause, nor the cure -- the final solution, should be something that makes the Soul of both of these men, remember what they did...
hangem hi
My sentiments exactly.
Once a person goes down a path like this, there really isn't any place left for them in the world.
Crack is whack. Remind me again why we want to legalize (some) drugs. No "real" good comes from them. This man is, of course, one of the poster children for no. Condolences to the family of the slain woman.
Sarcasticus 1 -you are absolutely correct. This is why we don't want to legalize drugs, end of story.
At times I miss Judge Lynch. This is one of those times.
we should all get a turn to beat this guy a couple of times a day for the rest of his life. I would wait in line.
what until we see this guy's prior record; there is no doubt this is not his first run in with violence, it will be his last as a roving animal on the streets of this country, a valuable life taken by a worthless sub-human scum of the earth.
Agreed.
No, the meth victims in your town started with cigarettes not "the weed". Go ahead ask them. I say we criminalize cigarettes!
Rick-1103909:
Time for YOU to get real. All you have said was that you got into more trouble drinking alcohol than smoking pot. Tell me again what actual good came from your drug usage. "I did not hurt (as many people) when I was high as I did when I was drunk. The "smoking pot doesn't hurt anyone" is a load of manure dished by people who can't see how it does.
An interesting consideration...what would be the answer if we asked the man who strangled the teacher if he smoked pot before he got to crack.
I smoke weed every day and i haven't hurt anyone.
Let me know when, I'll happily buy the rope.
Tommy Lee- Can you provide links to back up that 40% figure?
Tom, are you sure you haven't hurt yourself? Are you certain that marijuana smoke has in no way damaged your lungs?
A friend of mine died from lung cancer at age 36, having never smoked a cigarette. He did smoke weed every day though. Think about it.
Here's ONE article specific to California that puts it at 20% minimum, considering that Prison population does not account for all local and city jails. However this is from 2006 which I'm sure is outdated. A simple Google Boolean search will work, if you're really interested in proving yourself or Tommy wrong.
tom from orlando:
And that a damn sad thing..
Marijuana side effects come from smoking or consuming the drug and marijuana
side effects influence the mind and body of the user. Marijuana side effects can
be as seemingly innocent as an increased appetite to as life threatening as lung
cancer. Increased likelihood for accidents is also one of the marijuana side
effects. Studies show that 6 to 11 percent of fatal accidents are contributed to
by marijuana side effects.
Perfectly safe right? http:// www. marijuana- addiction. net/ marijuana-side-effects.htm
I'm not buying the BS drugs do not make you think this way, Ted Bundy didn't do drugs, you just don't look for a woman to kill..
Blue Lake,
I have smoked cigarettes for 30 yrs and never ever had an inkling or desire to do drug, you comment is not correct.
Marijuana can lead to harder drugs, but not cigaretts.
NO that is an old wives tale.
Blue Lake
Absolutely true
I can quit anytime I want, I've done it lots of times :)
My whole point is , not everyone goes to harder drugs
(Yes we can argue, I'll still love ya anyway:)
Sounded good to me :)

Right?
Sorry Bluelake:
(Humor).
Regards
Sarcasticus- Humor noted and appreciated.
Hi Lolly1192:
Regards
Bluelake:
Bluelake:
Agreed.
Viva!
How tragic for the victim and her family!
If all the evidence comes in and points to what this story describes, then Waters should be executed and Spell should get life. Hopefully, Waters would not spend 10 years on death row.
They BOTH should be hanged the oldfashioned way- no drop, just hauled up and let them dance as they strangle.
They should both be hanged with a thin cord....make it slow and easy. That way they get the same effect of choking......human trash like this will never change. The taxpayers should NOT have to pay to keep Spell alive. He chose to do the drugs and he chose his friend. He is just as responsible. 100%
The girl friend is probably as miserable as he is. Why else would anyone be so stupid to call somebody and make confession like that. Nevermind.
Sadly, they now face 20 years minimum, and endless legal representation, and health care, and counseling, and you name it, on the backs of Montana taxpayers.
They aren't worth the carbon in their body mass.
"They aren't worth the carbon in their body mass"
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Do you mind if I use that?
Personally, I think they should be fed into a woodchipper...Monday morning...on some national news show. They could call it the "Monday Morning Reminder"
Steve - not at all!
And let's not forget those industrial shredders that mince up engine blocks, either.
Hell...drop these two right into a war zone, and see how tough they reeeeally are!
Murdering crazies that they are!
hdrider, Idaho used to be a hanging State. Ah the good ole days
Execute both of them.
You are so right! So many piece of &%$# people abuse good kind people because they have f-ed up their own miserable filthy lives so badly. I, too, wish she had been armed! These men need to rot in prison forever.
Remorse? Who gives a #$%& about your remorse??
May she rest peacefully. So sad.
Likely will only die of OLD AGE! Wyoming instituted the death penalty in 1976, and has executed just one person since. Does anyone really believe that Wyoming has such law-abiding citizens that only one in 36 years deserved to be executed for their crime(s)?
How does Wyoming fit into this story?
That's where they worked. Just a hop, skip and a jump away.
To Pray Hard;I can understand your frustration and I can Mostly feel for the teachers fam. But looking at your name,do honestlty think that is what God is saying?Im not defending this crimminal but he also deserves to be forgiven,Right???
Maybe they didn't kill her in Montana, maybe they picked her up in Montana, killed and dumped her in Wyoming (a hop skip and jump away), but they won't reveal where her body is because they know Wyoming has the death penalty and Montana doesn't .
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2006-08-11-montana-execution_x.htm
yes it does and it uses it. Last one 2006
I think when anyone commits an egregious act like this that it doesn't matter that they are mentally ill or not. You take a life--you get your life taken away from you-period.
No amount of money or time in jail makes up for that.
"Too bad the teacher didn't have a Glock..."
U sound like the devil hisself
Richard, your forgot one thing somebody made a racial slur about him, "whitey, honky, cracker or something like than
No one made him do the crack, he knew he had a problem, please oh please oh please oh please let this pile of human garbage get the death penalty!!!!!
The taxpayer funded attorney for this sicko will make him sound like a choir boy who's life was destroyed by an evil parent or some other such nonsense. Then he'll ask for lenient treatment.
I'd suggest being just as lenient as he was with is victim.
Deprogrammer - I'm guessing that the two people life flighted to Utah were the sluts???
A couple of pathetic examples of the human race.
How horribly sad!
You are correct Mark. I just look at these two and shake my head.
My deepest condolences for her family.
One of the saving graces of many serial killers is that they lack the intelligence to keep their mouths shut. If this guy, Spell, had not told his girlfriend about the crime, and she, in turn, had not told a third party [who tipped the police], chances are nobody would have caught them.
Here's a question for the women out there: If your boyfriend tells you that he and a buddy just kidnapped and murdered a woman, pretty much for the hell of it, isn't time to split the blanket and find a new boyfriend?
but she "loves him!"
I would think that ship should have sailed LONG before that!
And when he's not on crack, he has a beautiful soul... *retch*
Would this be one of the drugs that groups want legalized?
I lean a little Libertarian, but Marijuana is the only drug that would I like to see legalized.
It just compares to Beer in my mind. I have never smoked any myself, so this is just my opinion ..
I'm with you dano (marijuana) but Ron Paul would legalize ALL drugs....
Chris Wallace asked him:
Dano how would you know if you did not smoke any?
Yup. Paul wants to legalize all drugs. Splendid idea ! I guess it is his kind of population control...
YA HUH!!!!
@craig,
I had friends that did while I drank beer...They didn't act any different that I did.
There's another option, de-criminalize but not legalize.
you are not too bright...drugs don't 'make' people do anything.
Yeah, because being illegal, as they are now, means none of these low life losers can get their hands on them.
Oh wait...
At least someone is thinking.
Sadly the anti-death penalty crowd is winning.
HAHAHAHAHA...this comment actually made me choke on my coffee a little bit. The pro-life crowd is more educated? HAHAHAHAHAHA!
What Lori said...
Our political system isn't set up for moderates to win. Look at the options for our next presidential election and I'm talking both parties, folks.
Damn druggies.
Drugs= The number one problem in America.
Shut mouth Tumbledumb.
Then with the money they got back they probably went to Dennys to eat. That seems normal.
They were crazed drug addicts who decided it would be fun to kill a contributing member of society, just because the older guy was so freaking weird that women shunned him.
..
This is just one story out of thousands out there. Very sad.
The bottom line, make these drugs legal so no need to sneak around for the drugs, no need for drug cartel, assassinating your competitors, or tunneling along the borders,etc...etc...etc....
Might as well tax it.
Very smart comment???
So if their drugs were legal, they wouldn't have murdered her?
Wow: The thinking of a druggie.
We all know MJ is not for medical reason.
It's for people to get stoned.
so how does alcohol fit into this equation? they tried to ban it and it created the organized crime gangsters of the 30s. now they have legalized it.
The drugs aren't legal, but they got them anyway. Murder is illegal, but she died anyway. You can't legislate morality. People break laws.
It helps to think things all the way through.
"We all know MJ is not for medical reason.
It's for people to get stoned."
CiCi,
I agree to a point that people break laws.
Sally: It doesn't work. During prohibition, the government did exactly that. They poisoned alcohol and killed many drinkers. The idiots kept drinking.
Sorry sammy: I don't have time to do your research for you. I don't care if you believe me or not. If you really want to know the truth, look it up.
Oh by the way sammy: The count of dead exceeded 10,000, murdered by the US government.
If you're not too stoned, type in "poisoned alcohol during prohibition". Then, if you have the guts, come back and apologize.
By the way... I'm from AZ, too.
What you are talking about is murder.
Yes tom: It was murder. The government seized alcohol, poisoned it and allowed it to go back on the market.
sammy: Glad you don't drink or use. I don't either. Also I don't lie.
Shoes: You're right. It was the ingredients the government poisoned. Same results.
It wasn't a deliberate distortion, but I bow to your comprehension.
@ Janice McDowell,
Are you talking about Politicians as well? Just saying.....you make a lot of sense.
Crack brought out the devil in Waters. So what's Spell's excuse? Why couldn't he have stopped Waters before he killed?
Take another look at what the oil industry is doing to the communities in the area. Time to re-organize so the resources build the communities around them instead of tear them apart and benefit a few rich barons who don't live there. Then take a look at how Norway handles their resources and what it does for the entire country. (Start at wikipedia's article on Norway, Resources section.)
Great comment! But I think you're ignoring the contributions made.
In other news, Hitler had a love child.
.........................The Italian captain had traces of cocaine on his head.
.........................Linsanity gone mad.
.........................According to the Mayan, the world coming to an end.
It's about time.
I just wish everyone was smart enough to know that.
Tom: I am smart enough to know that, but I'm not smart enough to know exactly HOW an individual will react to a drug before he takes it.
...and I guess that's my best argument against legalization of drugs.
What about Einstien ? He did some fairly impressive work while knocking back devils dandruff.
me = devils advocate
I would call them animals, but animals do not just kill for the fun of it. People like this need a fast conviction and a really quick death........oh, I know lets just choke them out. Fast, effective and cheap. They are not worth the money it will cost to have the trial.
Not a quick death. Let him go through withdrawals 1st, that's a hell all in its self. THEN execute him.
cocaine withdrawls are not that bad. Kicking heroine is the real hell.
The Left newsmedia has taught women that guns and self defense are bad (wow).
We need a major cultural change, especially for women; the worst type of human predator targets females.
Guns are good, they can save lives.
You see in a violent, angry culture -- drugs is not the cause, nor the cure -- the final solution, should be something that makes the Soul of both of these men, remember what they did...
so they don't
do it
again--
None of us prevented any of this -- :-(

Hello Believer -
the "ride" can get wicked --
look up the word Spirit
and see what it means to the
many people that talk about it...
done with that--
find out why people that ONLY do Mind work
can never "solve" anything
they WILL charge you for each and every
session you attend...
I was in a group session one time and I asked a real simple question...
What results should we expect when we've completed this training
or discussion seminar program..
I never got an answer...
Then I went to a sweat lodge, spoke to an elder
and "got an answer"... from the Spirit World we
live in (that includes you, when you're ready)
IF you want to stay where you're at, it's cool..
but remember OTHERs have gotten tired of
waiting for the Mind folks to get over it
we're going to stay with Spirit, Heart, Body,
Soul and Mind together...
to BE a Human Being --
we don't stop there...
we serve our Community(ies)..
Take Heart kind Believer..
Insanity may be your best Plea..
don't lose it
amidst everydayness (Freud wrote about this.. ;-)
look it up under "quotidienne..."),
the language with the real answer in it.....
does not translate to English --
don't use the Mind to get Spirit information...:-)
use the Heart and quiet the Mind --
15 minutes a day will do wonders...
garontie... !!
