I had a gal who served in Iraq. Technically, she was a desk jockey. But if the patrol was short a rifle, they **didn't** go: "Oh, sorry, you're a woman so you don't have to go out."
While women might not *officially* be doing frontline duty, the ARE doing it nonetheless. Gals who are coming back in body bags didn't all get that way from an unlucky mortar shell on the logistics tent.
