Why all of the angst about foreigners being detained in Egypt? All of the countries that put agitators into Egypt to meddle in an evolving government must not have given Egypt due for the ability to ferret them out. Eygpt has the ability to self determine an effective government for themselves. Some people will bitch but they have done okay on the own for thousands of years without our input.

Egypt needs either cheap day-laborers or human-shields

This is a game to blame others for the corrupt old regime. It has been standard practice in Egypt to tell NGO's when they start operations and file papers to go ahead with their work while the paper work is processed. This assurance is generally given by a minister. The same applies to press credentials. All is well until the government doesn't like something the NGO does.

Had this been a legitimate concern. The government would have sent notice to the NGOs of the change in policy. SCAF doesn't favor the changes in the government. The Brotherhood is an ally of the army. No one in government is even talking to the people.
