I feel bad for anyone who happens to look like Casey. There's a woman in Oklahoma (of all places) who was mistaken for her and a lady drove her off the road.
This is why people need to take a step back and calm down. If you're one of those who want to hurt Casey - you may make a mistake and target the wrong person!
I believe the prosecution. Casey did the following:
1. Casey suffocated Caylee.
2. Casey threw her daughter's body in the swamp.
3. Casey didn't report her daughter missing for 31 days.
4. Casey was partying during the 31 days.
The jury said there was no evidence so they found her not guilty on 1st degree murder charge.
Okay, stupid is as stupid does.
Now why didn't the jury find her guilty on the lesser charge?
Casey is claiming that Caylee drowned in the family pool. So why did Casey get rid of her daughter's body in the manner that she did? Evidence shows that Caylee was found in the swamp.
IF the child drowned why was Casey allowed to get away with dumping her daughter's body in the swamp?
How can Casey, who dumped a body after admitting that she was at fault for the "accidental" death of this child, can get away with this?
I blame the jurors none at all, the prosecutors did a piss poor job and didnt CHARGE her with crimes that could be proven.. that is the prosecutors fault. Those finding the wrong people thinking it is her is just typical IGNORANCE... I mean really.. SHE isnt out of jail yet .. HOW STUPID CAN SOME PEOPLE BE.. I never underestimate the power of stupidity... THAT being said... Casey better hope to never run into me... me being in the state of Florida =) I would happily slit her throat with my pretty titatium knife (one of several but thats the sahrpest) and leave her body in a much more remote area where no one will ever find the stupid B!tch... the jury did the right thing according to the law, and I will do the right thing according to my own PERSONAL beliefs if I come in contact with her. Judge me all you want but I leave my judgement to someone else and would relish the feel of her life draining over my blade. Sleep tight, Casey. I am not the only one. =) =D
If anyone thinks she is going to go into hiding they are smokin' some pretty good dope. Baez is going to take her to his home (does he have any small kids?) and she will be out partying by this next weekend. Sociopaths do not change their ways once they start killing.
Baez is from NYC (Bronx - ugh) and has connections there through family and friends and most likely has set up a safe haven for Casey. If so, they can have her. I lived in NYC most of my life and managed to avoid the Bronx. There's nothing worthwhile there and most people (if they don't live there) consciously avoid the place. I can't think of a better place to send her than to a place of burnt out buildings, drugs-n-thugs, and remoteness. I imagine that Baez thinks who the heck would look for her there. He's right, BUT there is still the imminent danger of the place itself. Just a guess.
As for going after her and doing the necessary deed. Please rethink those thoughts. You would become her - be exactly what you see her as and become her. Don't do it. Life will take care of her, just be patient and believe. I felt angry as hell when OJ was set free to play golf while looking for the "real killer" and said to myself that his life will take care of him and voila - where is he - prison, most likely for the remainder of his life. Why? A criminal is a criminal. Casey Anthony is egotistical (and stupid) enough to believe that she can get away with anything. She's Teflon like Gotti the Teflon Don. And where did he die - prison. Let the situation take care of itself and live your good, no, live your best life. You can believe Casey Anthony won't.
Do a Google search for "OJ Guilty but not of Murder". It looks like the LAPD got that case wrong and it was in fact OJ's son Jason who did the killings. The jury in the first OJ trial got it right.
Casey is a Psycho--the Article stated she is a "little unstable" from the Trial":? Really?. No she is CRAZY from the time she fell into a dysfunctional family, unlike any that I have ever known---Murder of a family member is ok.
She obviously has a severe Mental Disease--never treated---the parents, the Enablers of their daughter.
Who's guilty?
There is no where on this earth, she will be safe---even if she has plastic surgery, changes her hair, or dresses like a man---that kind of behavior will eventually come through the outside changes, manifesting itself once again, into another criminal case against "this person".
One cannot or ever can change their personality/behavior. That will be her fatal flaw.
People like Jim-32068 belong in prison. Making these types of threats against someone's life is illegal. Be careful what you post on-line. These posts can and may very likely lead to criminal prosecution. No matter how you feel about Casey Anthony, threatening anyone's life is wrong.
I think the main problem was that the prosecution over-charged and then could not prove their case. How did they ever expect to get a murder conviction when they could not even prove how Caylee died. I think that if they had charged Casey with criminally negligent homicide instead of murder they would have gotten a conviction. Then, even if the jury bought the story about Caylee drowning, they could have convicted Casey for not keeping a proper watch on her daughter resulting in her death.
Of course based on some of what I have heard, I would not be too surprised to find out that the father did in fact have something to do with the death. It has been suggested that he was supposed to be watching Caylee and that she drowned. Then the father hid the body and tried to set up his own daughter to take the fall for his own carelessness. I do not know if any of this is true, it is just one theory that has been floated that sounds plausible based on the apparent animosity between Casey and her father. I seriously doubt we will ever know what happened unless we get a deathbed confession from the party that was responsible for Caylee's death.
She did away with her daughter and now she will profit from it. I can't believe it. I am so sick of hearing about this. I cannot understand the jury, not one bit! She'll have another kid and then what, did anyone ever think of that? I can't believe they cleared her, she did not report her daughter missing at all, her mother did after 31 days! She is at least guilty of neglect that led to the death of her daughter. You don't need proof for that! It was right there under the jury's noses! It is absolutely insane that she got off and they voted not guilty for everything! This is too crazy, now she is free. She accused everyone in her circle of doing something and she, poor she, was the victim. She will make money off this and the jury will make money off this, how sad is that and how disgusting! A little girl dead and no justice for her, no one cared, except the American people and also people world wide but we all could do nothing, nothing at all. Baez was absolutely horrible in accusations of others and he made no sense in many things he said, so what in the world was the jury going by? Dang it all!
You are one scary and dangerous person---as you can see below when commenting, MSNBC warns each of us "You are posting this comment to a publicly viewable discussion".
Most likely now you have put yourself on the "Watch List" for whomever may harm Casey--from all Authorities of the Law.
One cannot take back their words; that is why it is wise to not say anything lethal like what was said in your content--
Good luck from staying away from Legal inquiries; or profiling.
"Of course based on some of what I have heard, I would not be too surprised to find out that the father did in fact have something to do with the death."
Gee whiz.....she was a freaking pathological liar! And, she was the only one who's life was better w/o that child. She did the deed all by herself. Casey was guilty in any reasonable mind after the baby went missing for a month: forget the lies, evasion, subterfuge, the ridiculous drowning defense, and the frantic flying- finger pointing that followed. That man adored that child, was frantically looking for her, and would have never made an accident look like a murder...that's just asinine.
Why do people feel the need to tell us about what we already know and think?
All these posts look like they could have been copied and pasted from all the other Anthony thread.
As I understand it - she is now off the Orlando dime? If she went to a private airport - who is paying her way now?
She better get a lot more than $1M to tell her story - after taxes and protection and future law suits - she will still be broke. Baez doesn't look like the type to give charity for very long - he didn't even pay his own child support.
I believe she killed that poor child. I was shocked that she has supporters, but then I remembered even Charles Manson, Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy along with O.J., had fans too. Some people are drawn to the sick and evil....
I hope no one takes the law into their own hands, a better solution would be shunning. If everyone who thinks she got away with murder would SHUN her she would suffer. I am talking about businesses (restaurants, hair dressers, apartment complexes), as well as individuals. It is against the law to discriminate against a person because of their race, religion, gender, etc. but NOT because you think they are scum and do not want them in your place of business.
I also think if she makes any book or movie deals everyone should boycott them and write letters of protest to the publisher/producers .... unless you are one of her fans and want to provide her with money.
Did you WATCH the entire trial? If you had you'd have no doubt she killed her child.
I just read an article by Fred Thompson in which even he says flat out she was guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Lawyers who understand the law know this was a miscarriage of justice. The jury just didn't have the intellect, the stamina or simply misunderstood the charge pertaining to reasonable doubt. They got reasonable doubt confused with any doubt, and returned a verdict of unreasonable doubt.
I just disagree with you. When did we stop being sucpicious of pathological liars? Do you trust habitual liars? They usually lie because they're hiding something. ?? A murder is a fairly good reason to lie - and a mother who doesn't report her child missing for 31 days, and then makes up some non-existent nanny, and then has a car that smells like a dead body - that's eventually found dumped in a swamp 2 blocks from her home is GUILTY. Period.
BlTCH did it... Everyone get your head out of your hind quarters please. People are routinely convicted of a lesser crime during the same trial when there is lack of evidence for the full charge. THIS WAS A MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE. Plain and Simple!
She deserves her PUNISHMENT... not freedom or fame and fortune!
wow, who cares! this is scary that so many people wasted this much of their lives to dedicate to a soap opera... this is what's wrong this this country.
Everyone needs to come down, you don't need to kill her or hope she dies. She will get what she wants in the long run, no one can hide forever. even if she changes her name and all that, she however can not change her S.S.number and if she changed her name it's public record. The jury found her not guilty but not INNOCENT she still has civil court cases pending against her and I hope she has to pay even though she has no education, no employer would hire her after they do a back ground check on her done. Friends will not want to take her in public because they will be schund and so will she. She has no chance of enjoying life let her live that way.
I guarantee she won't enjoy life out side of jail as most think she will, just let life take it's course. she will be back in jail at some point in the near future always sociopaths end up there
Oh I do belive she is guilty, but it's not me to judge. But I don't think she will be happy at all
Does anyone remembers that Clint Eastwood Movie from the 70's "Hang E'm High"pretty good movie that was, it teaches a valuable lesson when it comes to justice. Yes Sir. "Hang E'm High" great movie!!!
Wow. People, read your own comments. Lose the hate. You personally were not harmed, your rights were not violated; but you will wish death on another person? Sick, sick people.
Even though she walked on the charges, she'll pay in the long run. She'll be looking over her shoulder for psycho vigilante types for the rest of her life, and her run as a party queen is pretty much over.
I am sorry for Caylee who died an unnatural death as seen by how she was thrown away and taped. As for Casey, the mother who covered it up and hid out just as criminals do when they commit a crime, she could have danced out of jail or left that jail in any way she wanted to. I don't much care. She got lucky and now she is free to do it again one day. I only wonder in her first stop after the release, if she got away by driving out in the trunk of the car.
Casey and anyone wanting to do harm to her need to all check into a mental health facilty as it seems these types of sick people all seek each other. So Casey moves on as OJ moved on. I wish her nothing. She can get help or she can harm another child one day? Like OJ, this won't be a breeze. She is not a celebrity, just a known trainwreck who dumped her deceased baby in a dumpsite like garbage.
She should not be supported as if disposing of your baby in a dump makes you a star or hated as if mental disorders don't apply here as they do. She should be treated so she doesn't do it again. I only hope that dingbat does not think the scurry from the jail makes her a star, or worse, some supporters thinking she is a star making society as sick as she is.
Sounds like a good gangster series. They remake The Sopranos, she plays Tony Soprano's daughter, kills all the mobsters kids she don't like and bury them in the swamp.
Blondeness "If everyone who thinks she got away with murder would SHUN her she would suffer."
My mother taught me that the very worst thing you can do to another human being is ignore them. And she was right.
Here in Pennsylvania, the practice of Meidung (shunning) is the ultimate punishment among the Amish. No hatred, no revenge, no acts of violence, no overt hostility, no ongoing rebuke or castigation — you simply cease to exist in the eyes of the community.
Unfortunately, given the way American culture worships notoriety of any kind and for whatever reason, Casey Anthony will definitely end up with a lucrative book deal for her personal memoir, will probably secure rights to royalties and residual payments for a network television movie — Jennifer Love Hewitt comes immediately to mind in the starring role, although something tells me that she's too classy and too conscientious to take the part (one can only hope) — and, quite possibly, a reality show of her own.
The Prosecution didn't prove the Anthony case beyond "Reasonable Doubt"; or, the verdict would have been entirely different. ...Plain and Simple...
Don't hate the jury, they were following the letter of the law; that's Exactly what jury's are suppose to do. It's not up to the jury to "Connect the Prosecution Dots" or "Second Guess" the Prosecution and convict on emotion. If the prosecution had properly tried the case in a court of law; instead, of "Senationally" in the media, then "Reasonable Doubt" wouldn't have been an issue. The Defense Team threw whatever excuse out there; to "see what sticks", and created "Reasonable Doubt". Why? Because the Prosecution didn't properly lock down their case.... PLAIN AND SIMPLE, FOLKS!..
The Jury didn't find Casey Anthony "Innocent" of little Caylee Anthony's death; the Jury found Casey Anthony "Not Guilty" based on inconsistent and unverifiable evidence, better known as "Reasonable Doubt." FYI, many of the subsequent comments from the Jury lean toward some form of guilt on Casey Anthony's part; it just wasn't proven adequately in a court of law.
Bottom line, it's time to move on, People! Casey Anthony was found "Not Guilty" by a jury of her peers. It's not up to the general public or media, to decide judical matters.
Casey Anthony may have escaped justice in this earthly realm; however, she won't be so lucky standing before the Almighty and explaining herself... Frankly, that Heavenly trial would scare the "Be Geezers" out of me! Casey should be more worried about what's to come after leaving this world...
Shunning is the answer to Casey Anthony. Why should Casey receive any wealth or notority from this case; while little Caylee is rotting away in an untimely grave? The best way to serve justice for little Caylee is boycott any movies; don't buy any books on the subject; leave the tabloid newspapers alone; and, turn off any TV interviews.
Let Casey find a way to support herself like anyone else. If she gets hard up for cash, I'm sure one of the brothels in Nevada would offer her a job. Who knows, that might satisfy this "Party Girl's" lifestyle......
Judge me all you want but I leave my judgement to someone else and would relish the feel of her life draining over my blade. Sleep tight, Casey. I am not the only one. =) =D
So why are you judging HER; I thought you believed in leaving judgement to someone else?? If by "someone else" you mean god, you might want to reread that book he wrote.
Once she starts making money off this murder there will be those low-lifes who will become her "friend" coming out of the woodwork. Given her nature and the crowd she hangs with, this is probably how she she will meet her fate. Tick, tock, tick, tock.......
ENOUGH PEOPLE! RIGHT OR WRONG, CASEY ANTHONY WAS FOUND " NOT GUILTY" BASED ON "REASONABLE DOUBT' BY A JURY OF HER PEERS...END OF STORY.
If you truly believe Casey Anthony got away with some form of guilt in this matter; rather than becoming hostile and obsessing on this issue; offer Poor Little Caylee economic justice. My parents always said, when someone won't listen to reason; hit them where it "hurts the most"........ Their Pocketbook!
SHUN, SHUN, SHUN, CASEY ANTHONY. Nothing threatening, hostile or dangerous toward Casey Anthony; take a lesson from the Amish Community when laws are broken; treat Casey Anthony like she simply doesn't exist in society. Ignore any notority Casey attempts to make off this case. Don't buy tabloid papers on Casey Anthony; don't pick up or buy any books written regarding the case; Turn off TV interviews and don't watch any "Made for TV" Movies or "Theater Release" Movies or DVD's, made about this trial....
Let Casey Anthony fade away into obsurity; supporting herself in any way she can. I can't think of better justice for little Caylee....
Caylee is in a better place, well loved and happy... Any prayers need to be extended to Casey for her eternal soul; even repentence and forgiveness carries some form of eternal justice.
Don't worry folks, Casey still has the Heavenly Trial to face, after leaving this world; regarding her involvement in Caylee's dissappearance and untimely death. Trust me , "Reasonable Doubt" won't be an issue there!.....
Actually they do have notices once in a while that the FBI do watch these blog, If the President is threatened it is IMMEDIATELY turned over to the FBI as probably ANY threats on a persons life.
Yes, I DID watch the entire trial, and have continually followed it from the beginning--3 yrs. ago, when she was arrested.
Pathological lying is not an ordinarily criminal offense in society. Killing, and then confessing is. Did Casey confess? Many people who never harmed anyone are pathological liars. It is a Personality Disorder.
The Jurors had no evidence to Prove the Prosecutors goal: the Death Penalty. Nothing "fit" (circumstantial evidence, no DNA, and no real facts to connect them with Casey) She would not get on the Witness Stand. Does that make her guilty?
I certainly do NOT endorse what happened. It could of been Casey, it could of been her Father, it could have been her Mother, it could have been her Brother, it could have been her boyfriend?
Who was it?---no direct evidence leading to Casey---yes, an innocent child missing for 31 days---is that Legal evidence to sentence her?--Thank G-d, Congress has been contacted by a US citizen to put together a New Law seeking this scenario (missing children) to be a "CRIME".
The Jurors did their job--accept it---Baez, her Defense attorney did what he was supposed to do, and way beyond. It was a Shocker ending---the Verdict came back in less than 24 hours, and she was Not Guilty.
That's the way our Justice System works. Accept it---in NO way, am I supportive of Casey's possible murder, and the horrendous torture this child took from some or all family members.
May all of them never have a day where there is Peace of Mind. That is the sentence, and who knows, I'm thinking that they are in prison within their own bodies. People are out to get all of them. (Illegal)
As one poster said, be careful, do not react if you think you see a "Casey".
Someone wisely said, I believe a poster right here, if we fail to boycott any of Casey's attempts at financial gain from the horrible death of her baby, then, we, too are guilty. We must remain stalwart in not contributing to her "beautiful life" without little Caylee.
Though I believe she murdered Caylee in first degree with premeditation, and walked, regardless, I don't envy her. In my opinion, she divorced the beautiful life with Caylee's death. What is the veritable beautiful life? Why the love of each other and the love of family and children.
Having children was exceedingly difficult for me, and I would have given anything to have had a little daughter. This would have been my "beautiful life". Just think, with Caylee, Casey would have had someone to love and be-loved her entire life. Now, she is all alone, a pariah, alone with her countless lies and with dreams of a life that is anything but beautiful.
Let her alone clods. All of you are dissembling in almost every statement. Stop the hate unless you have direct evidence of wrong doing.
Here is what you are missing Ed. Lets say Caylee drowned as Casey said she did. Lets even pretend everyone on the planet disposed of Caylee's little body. Then think about ANY parent who, when knowing this as Casey said she did, does not dial 911, or call police or do anything to make sure the sweet little angel receives CPR or a proper burial. Two year olds are not tossed away like rubbish. I am assuming you do not have a child or you would understand that parents protect even with their own life. No baby should ever be treated like that so for what we do know about how baby Caylee's little lifeless body was tossed into a swamp without a word from Casey as she lied and pretended the baby was with her and as she hid out and, yes, even how she told police she had just talked to Caylee the day before she was busted even as Caylee decomposed in a dark dank spot where no baby belongs...she would be shunned as a clod. Clods don't have a drop of respect for the life and care of a baby alive, or deceased.
So you see Ed, it may not matter whether Casey killed her, but it does matter that Casey acted like a murderer and with complete disreguard for a lost baby - and that is something any parent would find unforgivable. She is the OJ of today and I am pretty sure everyone cheering for her will one day be embarrassed about it. Matbe it will happen when they look into the beautiful eyes of their own precious and delicate gift, or maybe not.
Babies can't defend themselves so their little life is only as good as a parent makes it. Hopefully no parent will ever allow a baby to be away to the wild animals of the night and then parties.
I guess I'm more at a loss as to how anyone could have found her not guilty.....3 pieces of duct tape around her head sealing off her mouth & nose, stuffed in a trash bag and dumpped in a swamp......and the decomposed hair in the trunk....I never went to Harvard but would that cause someone to die and isn't that evidence?
I blame no one for the rants and raves on this website....what's been lost in all of this insanity is a 2 year old girl was killed so that Casey could go out and party.
Moreover I have no love loss for the defense team...yes, you won....but doing shots afterwards in light of the fact that a 2 year old is dead and disposed of like a piece of garbage doesn't warrant partying like it's 1999.
Amazing the stupidity of the jurors and everyone else that thinks she's "innocent".
Casey's jet took her to Columbus OH - what is in Ohio - does anyone know?
Why doesn't the press know that? Everyone who knows anything about aviation knows that -
I don't think the jury found her 'innocent,' they found her 'not guilty' of Murder 1 and Murder 2 . . . as for aggravated child abuse - that requires more than a single act - meaning that its 'not guilty' there as well.
Is everyone truly so ignorant that they do not know the difference between innocent and not guilty?
To all who rag on Floriduh: I've been here well over my master plan. I live on the border of Pinellas and Pasco Counties - you know, where the got the Anthony jury from. And anything you may think of this place is most likely correct and then some. When I first came to this place over twenty years ago I heard a phrase that shook my nerves a bit. "If you want to commit a crime and get away with it, move to Florida. Well, Casey Anthony proves it again.
That being said I'd like to repeat something from my earlier post and tell those who are thinking of retribution through violence against Casey Anthony, please don't. Let her lifestyle take care of itself. It will, it always does. Just be patient and not foolish. Criminals are not smart. Casey is a high school drop-out with no employable skills and I doubt her legal team will be babysitting her forever. Sit tight and let Casey undo herself. She will.
Hey Brooklyn - I've seen you around the boards occasionally. I have regretted leaving NYC since arriving here in FL. Just thought I'd throw that in this mix. FL is a world unto itself. They have their own way of doing anything and have no use for anything anyone from NYC might suggest. The Anthony verdict doesn't surprise me at all. I live in the area where they picked the jury. Someone knew what they were doing.
I don't think the jury found her 'innocent,' they found her 'not guilty' of Murder 1 and Murder 2 . . .
The was no 'Murder 2', She was charged with 1st degree murder and manslaughter. USUALLY a 1st degree murder charge is accompanied by a 2nd degree charge in case they cannot convince a jury of premeditation. A 2nd degree murder charge is SOMETIME accompanied my a manslaughter charge in case they can't convince a jury of intent.
But this prosecutor decided for 1st degree murder and manslaughter, which tells me even THEY weren't convinced they had enough for a murder charge AT ALL and had just hoped the jury would have her enough to at least find her guilty of manslaughter if they couldn't convince them of murder.
Oh Lord!!!!! Our society is in desperate need of public hangings, I guarantee you people after the first 5 criminals like Casey are hung publicly people's behavior will change for the best.
Good luck to you out there Mrs. Murderous Bitch!!!!
Yo, Mike, The Murder 1 charge could have been broken down to 1 of 3 lesser charges if the jury wanted to do that, but I seriously doubt that was even considered due to the time taken, not looking at any of the evidence, and not requesting any testimony to be read to them. Seeing how a few of them didn't take notes and the ones that did left their notebooks on their chairs when they went back to deliberate, that should speak volumes to you.
Brooklyn, Force Recon? You are one bad a$$ MoFo!! Hey, how would you and a couple of your brother like to do a little job for all the righteous? heh heh Don't worry... just jagging ya.
PJ-3732558 - who said she was innocent? she was found not guilty. I wish all of the people who keep making the statement...they can't believe she was found innocent, check the verdict again. There is a complete difference and why does this have to keep being reiterated?
Media has over zealously influenced the ignorant, judgmental, mob-vigilante style mentality of crowds from the first day of this case in order to raise their profits and ratings. The Media has used information (without any regards to rumors or truth) to go on witch hunts, without having all the facts at hand, or abiding by the U.S. Constitutional Laws. Just take a good look at Murdock's tabloid trash in England. Media names like, Nancy Grace come to mind, when she herself was disbarred from practicing disgraceful ethics with the law in her own State. Yet, the TV right wing Moguls were quick to pay her a big bucks salary for the purpose of raising their station ratings and to profit from her distasteful and disgusting theatrics. Many sources of media, and those like Grace or Murdock, go out of their way to incite the emotional public to riot all for the sake of their profits and ratings for themselves. Our Constitutional Law says: "A person is innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law". However, the overzealous media had Casey prejudged as guilty from day one and went out of their way to influence the public on a 24/7 basis with the same thing over and over again to the point where you did not want to read or hear any news at all. Media, as did the overzealous prosecutors, continually leaked information that focused on circumstantial evidence rather than investigating for concrete facts. Neither did their job with good professional ethics and conduct. They are no better than any common criminal in jail when they narrow mind-idly channel all their attention solely on a single subject witch hunt with circumstantial evidence over a 3 year period without any regards to the public safety or giving any significant attention to the thousands of other missing persons, national news, etc.
Thinker, very well thought out and put together, but (you knew it was coming) circumstantial evidence is in just about every capital murder case. A body isn't always found... the weapon isn't always found... sometimes neither is found... but the evidence around it shows otherwise. Everyone wanted a smoking gun in this trial, but we all knew from the beginning that there wasn't going to be one. There couldn't be. To tell you the truth, the whole "how" Caylee died isn't all that important. What is important is WHO did it and what was the motive. The circumstancial evidence pointed out the "who" pretty clearly and the motive was also pretty clear. None of that was really influenced by the media. Myself... I hate Nancy Grace. She is an over-dramatic blow-hard that gets mad if she doesn't hear what she wants to hear. Hell, most of HLN is just wretched. Now they are doing a "Where is Casey"... like they are playing "Where's Waldo" or "Carmen SanDiego". I agree, there is some media playing more of a problem than just reporting. They are inciting. BUT... you cannot discount the facts of the case because the media reported it either. Facts are still the same... she waited 31 days to report Caylee missing... her car smelled like a dead body... all her lies distracted the police from actually finding Caylee. I can keep going, but it'll be for nothing.
As we all know, Thinker, the media only concentrates on missing white girls. Blacks, Latinos or Asians are never profiled for an extended period, and definitely not on a national stage. That is a crime in and of itself right there.
Our society is in desperate need of public hangings, I guarantee you people after the first 5 criminals like Casey are hung publicly people's behavior will change for the best.
Let's see how long it takes for these people to start ripping on you for that LOL.
Personally, I don't think it is a bad idea, at least for violent crimes.
People can say what they want about the advancement of civil rights, a fair legal system, whatever... there is no denying that in the years of public executions there was a lot less crime.
That point aside, we can only hope that the public sticks to its guns in regard to not paying a single penny to buy books or magazines or give heed to any type of media willing to give her airtime.
Plain Bob, post 3.8 - I agree - give her the car keys and only 1 gallon of gas so she will run out just like she used to and then have to depend on others.
As a mother and grandmother, I would have been crazy within the first hour of knowing my child was missing, let alone 31 days - I just can't get over that.
She may not have actually killed Caylee (in my heart I don't believe that) but she was the one responsible for her daughter and she went missing "on her watch"! She IS responsible for gross dereliction of duty of fulfilling the duties of a parent.! So IF she didn't kill her who did Casey allow to "disappear" her?
There isn't enough instruction given to jurors or the public that lawyers are NOT SWORN and DO NOT HAVE TO TELL THE TRUTH! Defense attorneys have a responsibility (?) to their client to post various scenarios from their imagination as to what might have happened - no truth required here. Unfortunately the jury in this case gave more weight to his sensational opening statement about the "drowning" - not supported with evidence, and the "child molestation" in very graphic terms. The jury obviously could not get those "seeds" out of their mind that Jose Baez planted there. George Anthony will always have people who believe he is a monster who did what Jose accused him of, although no testimony supported that. As they say, "you can't 'unring the bell'" once the words have passed the attorney's lips. I may be wicked, but I can only hope that Jose Baez once is accused himself, unjustly, of being a child molester or guilty of domestic abuse - then perhaps he may understand what he has done to another human being and family!
Only the person who was responsible for Caylee's death knows and perhaps it will never be proven. But, if you have a small body, tropical conditions, body outside in the elements for 6 months, including a tropical storm, it is not a surprise that no "cause of death" could be determined from the "dry bones." It is, however, an example of how to get away with murder. Choose a location where remains will decompose rapidly when left unburied and out in the weather, and be in an area not likely to be found and guess what - it can't be proven who was responsible when the all that is found are "dry bones" - no flesh!
formerstew; if people are willing to plunk down their money for trash Romance novels - there surely will be hundreds of thousands who will pay to see what they think will be the truth coming from anything she says.
The thing that bothers me most about this moronic comment is not that it was posted here, which is to be expected in this dust pit of intellect and compassion, but that it was made so popular that it appears first on the list.
You people wish for the death or suffering of a human being for a crime that can't be proven, even to the extent that the cause of death can't be proven, out of one side of your mouths...
And call yourselves human beings out of the other side.
It's a joke.
"She's not guilty. Get over it!" ... the sign says.
"She was given her due process," Antolic told the Sentinel. "She was tried. People need to respect that due process."
Nice to see that the sane people were not overlooked.
Good luck Casey... I hope you truly are innocent... because if you are not your conscience will make you pay more than anything else can.
As for the rest of you, it is well to remember that one of the Buddha's disciples was said to be a murderer. If he can be enlightened so can Casey and so can you.
But wishing bad things on people, guilty or not, is not the way and the world will be a little better place if you can stop doing so...
Which is not so easy... merely to wish to stop and you stop. It requires effort and most of you will probably never make that effort... almost no one has the intestinal fortitude to face the fact that anger and hatred come from within...
And that if there were no anger or hatred inside of you... you would not be angry with or hate Casey... or anyone else.
Sure...great point, Bobbyg, let her take care of YOUR kids then, ok? See how far your compassion goes. At the very LEAST she KNEW her little girl was dead and partied and had a blast the whole time the search was on...she hid that little body, in a swamp!! Does that sound sane??? does that sound compassionate, calm, peaceful, to you? You're a nut job, and I hope she dies by her own hand. That would be the only way now for her to truly pay for her crime. And I do have respect for due process if it comes from a court and a state known to operate constitutionally on all levels. Florida is NOT one of those states. Hell they couldn't even get an election right, but that didn't stop them from doing it illegally either did it? In my humble opinion, you can take your sanctimonious and unctuous platitudes elsewhere. If you think everyone on this vine is so stupid, why the hell are you here?
May you get bent.
May you be miserable when you find out how stupid you're being.
May you show true emotions instead of acting like a plaster model and 'holier than thou'.
May you open your eyes, see the world for what it's becoming, and realize you'll never be at peace again.
Sonata; the teachings of Buddha is to find peace and balance in your own life - something we should all strive for. Don't let that which you can't control, consume you.
But there is another form of Buddhism that would have turned her into fajita meat...lol.
You might want to start writing like a 5th grader - you are reaching no one with your perceived self wisdom.
When using you; if you are addressing the general public, then use "you", otherwise take the time to type the name of the person you are addressing - grown ups don't have time for your mind games.
bobbyg-501939: Bull Crap!!! A travesty of justice is what happened on this case, due process my A$$!!! Again, I will cite that Clint Eastwood Movie "Hang E'm High"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May you be haunted by little Kaylee's spirit the poor little innocent girl that was murdered and her little body put inside a plastic garbage bag and then dump like trash on a filthy swamp. Quite a pair of "cojones" you got there pal.
Jhon - if you were so affected by this little girl's murder - then you'd know how to spell her name. Caylee.
It does take a lot of "cojones" to rise above your petty little comments and opinions about all of this. Bobbyg is absolutely right and you're too immature to see it.
Get on with your life. Move on. Calm down. Your hatred isn't helping Caylee one little bit.
BJs65-634377: Immature? Here I'll give you a reason to call me immature, does 65-634377 in your screen name stands for the amount of Bjs that you've have had to put out?
Hows that for immature? was I talking to you when I wrote the comment? go get your self a life and move on, or just keep put in out BJs... Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!! Moron.
Although I'm not the seeder, and I know this is an emotionally ladened issue but please watch CoH.
I also followed the entire trial, not via Nancy Grace, refreshed my mind on the 400 plus pages of testimony, evidence submitted, etc. all available on line. I could write reams of why I'm convinced that she's guilty. As far as her "suffering" in this life, it won't be because of her own emotional distress. I heard the psychiatrist appointed to examine her for insanity who spent extensive time both interviewing her and giving her a battery of psychological tests, and said that she was completely sane,, and although she didn't meet all the criteria for a psychopathic personality disorder, she met certain characteristics. A psychopath, is a pathological liar, amoral, without empathy or the ability to attach to another to the degree they would sacrifice their own pleasure. They are shallow but can be charming, and attractive to those that won't look deeper. In my opinion Casey is the picture of a psychopath, and I'm a therapist. I also heard an interview by the head of psychiatric forensic medicine at I think Columbia School of medicine. It was also his opinion, and he has examined a number of women who have murdered their children. One of the point he made was that even if a child dies by accident, and the mother is afraid of consequences, one that is attached to a child will want some type of respectful memorial, burial, etc. not leave them decomposing in a swamp.
The jury took little notes, they didn't review any of the testimony or evidence, or ask any questions of the judge and after a 31 day trial returned with a verdict after less than 11 hours deliberation.
The jury was composed of 2 members who hadn't completed high school, not the basis of rigorous analysis, however a jury of her peers. One jury had a conviction of possession of drug paraphernalia, one for a DUI, one with a sibling guilty of spousal abuse. Not a jury that I would want judging any case that I or a loved one was every involved in.
The prosecution did an excellent job, if the jury had even paid any attention.
Baez threw speculation in the air with an inflammatory opening statement , not a single one did he prove or give any evidence of, but the jury quoted his opening statement as fact.
There are, generally speaking, two kinds of evidence, direct and circumstantial. Direct evidence is testimony by a witness about what that witness personally saw or heard or did. Circumstantial evidence is indirect evidence, that is, evidence from which you could find that another fact exists, even though it has not been proved directly. There is no legal distinction between direct and circumstantial evidence as far as probative value; the law permits you to give equal weight to both, but it is for you to decide how much weight to give to any particular evidence.
There is no reason to be prejudiced against evidence simply because it is circumstantial evidence. You make decisions on the basis of circumstantial evidence in the everyday affairs of life. There is no reason why decisions based on circumstantial evidence should not be made in the courtroom. In fact, proof by circumstantial evidence may be as conclusive as would be the testimony of witnesses speaking on the basis of their own observation. Circumstantial evidence, therefore, is offered to prove a certain fact from which you are asked to infer the existence of another fact or set of facts. Before you decide that a fact has been proved by circumstantial evidence, you must consider all of the evidence in light of reason, experience and common sense.
There was overwhelming circumstantial evidence against Casey Anthony and if the jury did notwant to give her guilty on 1st degree murder with the possibility of the death penalty they had far lesser charges as their option. They took none of them, and now have agents who are marketing them for in excess of $50,000 for interviews.
In my opinion this is a travesty.
She will not be shunned by all. She already has people sending her money and proposals of marriage. Her personality will not allow her to disappear from the media or the action. Hopefully she may and probably will run into difficulties with the law. If you can commit check fraud with your ill grandfather's checks, you won't stay on the straight and narrow for long.
Bobby, G, the problem with your commentary is, you are the one focused on hate while the vast majority of Americans are focused on love, love for a beautiful little girl that died before the age 3, and who was tossed with her baby blanket into 2 plastic bags into a swamp. For the vast majority of normal minds, this is all about a mother [and only the dumbest of the dumb who watched the entire trial] who had no love for her child. It was Casey's who hated when she should have loved.
Every shrink that was interviewed during the trial, maintains Casey is a sociopath. In other words, her mind doesn't think and feel like most. What normal, loving and decent mother, parties, nightclubs, cashes stolen checks from her best friend and gets tattoos while her child is missing? This isn't about America's hating Casey; this is all about a helpless, defenseless, vulnerable little girl that rotted in a swamp. Most Americans cannot think along these lines because they are normal.
We know, we have a dead Caylee, and the manner of death was deemed, murder. We know Caylee's body was found with articles from the Anthony home and from Caylee's bedroom. Including the rare brand of duct tape!
This isn't about hate; this is about love and justice for a baby. Fortunately, most Americans are all about love; therefore, they are grappling with the death of a baby whose murderer walks free and can proceed on to the beautiful life.
You need to circle your own condemnations of others. You are also in the way minority as most Americans believe Casey is guilty. Only complete idiots would think differently, and quit passing your judgments onto others as well. Show some love and not your blatant hate for the thinkers in this nation.
Ok, guys... I have railed against Casey, the defense , and now the jury for a while, and while I understand you guys wanting to say you are feeling "love" for Caylee... we all know that it is vengeance for her memory. We want Casey to pay, we are incensed by the fact that she has the nerve to appeal what she was found guilty of, especially since most of us know that it is just a slick lawyer's trick to use the system and drain more money from the local population.
We want something bad to happen to her. We want karma to rear its head and take its measure. We want vengeance for a little girl that doesn't have a chance to get even herself. We want to get even for a little girl that was thrown away like trash, and a mother that has never shown the appropriate remorse. We want to make the mother, that never shed a pure tear for her daughter in that courtroom, suffer for her deeds that we all know she has done.
Let's not kid ourselves and try to wrap this in a nice fuzzy blanket. We want vengeance... pure and simple. If it makes you feel better to call it revenge, call it that, but please stop trying to say that you are doing this out of love, when we know that you are gritting your teeth at times when you write some of these posts.
I don't want to insult anyone in particular, but I am just laying this out there. I want to say that I care for Caylee, but I am more insulted by the fact that Casey had the nerve to think she could get away with it. Now, I'm ill that the citizens of Florida let it happen. The fact that the jury wants to make money off of releasing a monster enrages me. This makes me think they came back with "not guilty" for a reason. Right now... these feelings have nothing to do with love for Caylee. I'm enraged due to the abuse that our justice system has taken in this case, and the money that will be made from it.
If you all find me distasteful for how I feel, I apologize. I am truthful with myself. I never knew Caylee. I can't love someone that I never met, BUT... I can avenge a helpless child. I do get insulted and enraged when I watch our system of justice get treated much like Caylee did. I can also wish for vengeance on all those that have done wrong in this issue. I am just willing to look at this realistically and call it for what it is.
Honesty is rarely a bad policy. You aren't - if I am reading this right - disgarding the need for justice for a child. You are simply saying you don't love said child. And you are upset that the justice system seemed to drop the ball. I don't see why anyone should be offended by your post.
bobbyg-501939 - some just can't understand where you are coming from but I do. For you that cannot understand, let me say this. Those without sin you may cast the 1st stone. ha ha...I don't see anyone reaching for that stone.
Lenora, I have no problem picking up a rock and tossing it. Why? Evil festers while good men do nothing. While you are standing there looking at that rock, Casey is looking at you and laughing, because she had her way with everything you believe in.
Kinkomaster - You say you have no problem picking up a rock and tossing it...so are you saying you are without sin? I doubt it, because no one is perfect and sin is not only action, it is saying and thinking as well. Who am I to judge someone for his or her sin (unless I am in court...different situation)? All I can do is pray for his or her soul (forgiveness). Let us look into your closet of sins and see if you would like for us to condemn you they way that she is being condemned. Sin is sin and no sin is worse than the next...they are equal.
Lenora, first off... I am not stricken with the guilt of all of those who quote from that story book. I am going to give you a very simple illustration of your little "no stone thrown" in action. Back in the late 1930's, there was this Austrian guy who wanted to rule the world, so he started taking over countries, but because no country wanted to throw that first stone... his evil grew too fast for them to control. Hitler was 1 mistake away from ruling the world. History is filled with examples of good people standing by while those evil people run roughshod.
If you actually believe that sin is sin, and no sin is worse than the next... then you are a fool. There is quite a difference between lying to someone and telling them that they look good in order to spare their feelings, and killing your child, triple bagging them, leaving them in your trunk to rot, and then throwing them out like trash. If you don't see a difference, there is a serious problem with you.
Kinkomaster, I agree with the last post you posted, I do not believe the Bible, It is writen (over and over again) by people that interprit what they think happened many, many, many years ago. AND there is a HUGE difference between telling a lie and murdering your child and throwing it away like garbage.
Thanks, guys. I try not to bash the blind faithful, but sometimes there is just a point where it needs done.
Plus, I was really good about when they struck out on the Rapture again. I still wish the media would do a little story on the people that sold everything and put their pets to sleep (very christian thing to do, I might add).
Kinkomaster 8 points!! Lenora-2944263 and the rest of the Holier than Thou 0 points! You holier than thou people need to get your heads out of your Arses... at least hide away from the logical, practical, no nonsense people.
*tip hat to Jhon* NB, do you think that he might have forgot to set his alarm clock? Maybe he is still ticked off they they stapled his kid to that cross. We don't know if Jesus is still talking smack or not. Let's face it, he can't hold a whole lot in his hands without wearing gloves.
I don't think he'll let that happen. He was her Defense Attorney Pro-Bono. Its his job to say she didn't do it and make jurors believe that too. Now behind closed doors and deep down in his gut, he probably wouldn't want her near his kids because he knows deep down inside, she knows something or did it herself.
Hey Stormy-3157243 those are some of your posts, it seems that you're deeply affected by the comments that demand justice for CAYLEE, why is that intolerant ignorant dimwit, is it because one the brain dead jurors is part of your family?
By the way Dumb-Ass the proper way to spell Caylee is with a K not a C try to look it up if you can. and do that before you start insulting people that is obviusly better than you!!!!
I believe Casey Anthony killed her daughter and was let go because of poor prosecution. With that said the law let her go. I am sick of hearing all these righteous people who believe in "justice" want to kill Casey or any one of the jurors.
Do you actually hear yourself? I hope anyone who acts on a mob mentality gets to face the death penalty themselves............
I agree, Bill. I believe she killed her daughter and I do want to see justice, but someone going out and killing her is NOT justice! What would be justice is to see the feds get involved and file charges at their level, as well as anyone who can suing her civilly so at the very least, she can not profit off the murder of that sweet little girl.
Dual Sovereinty will not work on this one folks. They only way that would work would be if she had done something federal with any of it. Using the FBI will not work, either.
I agree that there was due process and we need to live with that, no matter how anyone feels. "Two wrongs don't make a right".
However, IMHO, the Prosecution did a stellarjob with what they had. I feel this jury did NOT listen to the instructions (based on post-verdict interviews). The summations were outstanding, connecting all the dots but, the jury voted for acquittal and, having done so, they should be left in peace.
Why didn't the jury say they were hung? That way she could be tried again. The jury failed by acquitting. How could they completely disregard the jail conversation with her mom, that fact that she didn't report it for 31 days and was partying all that time and if she was drowned there would have been water in her lungs. I can see why there wasn't enough evidence for a murder conviction even though we all know she did it but make the system work. The prosecutor should have gone for a lessor charge and he would have won.
The jury could have convicted her. They decided there wasn't enough evidence. They are idiots. That's the way it is. A murderer walks. It happens every day, the entire country just doesn't get to watch all of the others. I doubt that she is in any danger. It reminds me of a bumper sticker- "Some people are alive only because it is illegal to kill them." People hate her, but who is willing to give up their own life to take some vigilante justice? Not me. Jose Bias and crew will certainly play this up. So will the professional security "experts." She is a cash cow now, and these people will be drawn to her like flies to s**t.
The dots were there. The jury just did not connect them. Most murder case convictions were based on circumstantial evidence:
This article, (4.24.2004) written right before Scott’s Peterson’s trial, (one of many stating the same):
Authorities acknowledge that their case against Scott Peterson is largely circumstantial. But legal experts say that doesn’t mean it isn’t conclusive. Forget everything you saw on “Perry Mason” — most convictions are won on circumstantial evidence, which the law says carries the same weight as direct eyewitness testimony.
THAT MEANS Peterson, 30, could be convicted of two counts of capital murder in the deaths of his wife, Laci, and their unborn child, whose badly decomposed bodies were found last week on the shores of San Francisco Bay. Even though there are no known eyewitnesses. Or, for that matter, any publicly known direct physical evidence tying him to their deaths.
In fact, it has not yet even been established how Laci Peterson and the boy who would have been named Conner died.
With such a circumstantial case, why do prosecutors sound so confident that they have a “slam dunk,” because they have ENOUGH circumstantial to convict.
SCOTT PETERSON GOT THE DEATH PENALTY!
REACHING A SIMPLE CONCLUSION Lawyers said the general public had a misconception about what constituted circumstantial evidence — enough of their high-profile colleagues have gone before the cameras to denounce the cases against their clients as “purely circumstantial” to give any legal doctrine a bad name.
The easiest way to define “circumstantial evidence” is by what it is not — it is not evidence that comes directly from an eyewitness or a participant. With direct evidence, jurors don’t have to draw any “if-then” inferences.
Everything else is circumstantial evidence, which is simply anything that allows a jury to reach a conclusion by reasoning, as long as it is relevant.
Most witness testimony is circumstantial, since most witnesses relate not that they saw the defendant actually commit the crime, but instead that they saw or knew something else that might lead a reasonable juror to conclude that the defendant committed the crime. That covers expert witnesses, too.
So, while nobody keeps statistics on how many cases are tried based solely or largely on circumstantial evidence, legal experts reckon that it’s the large majority.
“How many of us have seen in movies or TV, ‘Oh, it’s just a circumstantial evidence case’?” said Norman M. Garland, a professor at Southwestern College of Law in Los Angeles and author of several books on the rules of evidence. “That’s just a misnomer, a misconception.”
Dismissive judgments of evidence as “simply circumstantial” reflect a “lack of true consideration of what’s involved,” Garland, who has been both a prosecutor and a defense attorney, said in an interview. Not only can circumstantial evidence be extraordinarily persuasive, but it can often be stronger than direct evidence — stronger than eyewitness testimony or even, sometimes, a confession.
They found 12 jurors who knew little or nothing of a case that was plastered on news papers, radio, TV, and Internet and they were local. This high profile case was everywhere for a long time. Who did not know about this case in the Tampa/Orlando or Florida or the USA period. People with their heads in the sand that's who. THose people deliberated for 11 hours over six weeks of testimony. I say they wanted to go home and were superficial in their deliberations.
Also if they believed the defense, then why not manslaughter?
Aggravated child abuse/neglect- carries the same penalty as murder if the child dies...well, Caylee died...the mother (loosely used term here) Casey was the person within whose care she was last seen sooooo gee, THAT should have been the very least with which they should have/could have charged her.
She is appealing the 4 counts of lying to police! How are they going to pull that one off is beyond me. They have her on tape lying to the police especially in light of the allegations made by the defense in the courtroom! This is like a magic show at this point...all illusions.
ya never know what people will do for publicity these days... why go on a mass shootting spree for notoriety when you can kill one stupid b!tch that deserves it and have people protesting outside your trial saying you only did what was right? Maybe I am instigating or maybe I am preparing =)
The prosecution failed because they attempted to link the dots with inductive reasoning (ie. Every cat iv seen is black, Thus all cats are black). While the defense pointed out the holes in the case with deductive logic. Inductive reasoning in most cases leads to acquittal because of reasonable doubt.
must you people turn every casey anthony story into a debate over whether she is innocent or guilty, get over it already and try to focus your little attention deficit disordered obsessive compulsive minds on the topic of the current news story that you are posting comments in.
If you are unsure of what the topic of the story is just read the headline at the top of the page.
I agree 100% Bill.... some of these comments are ridiculous! She was found Not Guilty by a jury of her peers. Seems like these people only believe in our system if the final verdict agrees w/ their thinking. Otherwise it's b u llsh it! Please
@ Questions to ask : So glad there are people who actually use their heads to figure out what's gone on here rather than swallowing the appeals to emotion launched by both the state and the media.
Inductive reasoning? Yes, but I call it fallacious reasoning, and it was all over the state's case from what they did to try to compensate for lack of corroborating evidence to the very reasoning used by Dr. G to conclude murder. It was all crap.
I like to harp on Dr. G. because she was the witness everyone foolishly thought was the nail in the defense's coffin. How she based her surety of what "everyone does" when encountering a drowning for example. It really doesn't matter how many people did what in the past if the next person has the same choices and is not cognizant or influenced by the choices of others. In other words, you can't predict future behavior using the behavior of unrelated subjects in the past. It's the same error that made the roulette wheel what it is today, since the odds of one color remain the same every spin regardless of how many spins it already came up.
She provided no proof she's even aware of 100% of drownings to even comment on them. And if she's only talking about the ones she's seen, she can't claim there weren't unreported drownings. No sooner did she claim that then we have a story of a woman who spent 53 hours dead in an open public pool, with hundreds of swimmers around, two city inspections, and none of those people said a word. The entire staff is on administrative leave right now and so are the inspectors. So much for what "everybody" does.
The fact that Dr. G. can't imagine why a corpse would have duct tape on the mouth doesn't mean there is only one reason, and she had absolutely no way of proving there was.
If Dr. G's testimony is based on hasty generalization, non sequiturs, and false dilemmas, and it was, the state doesn't have a single witness who is on record with a sound and valid assurance that this was a homicide. It should be pretty easy to see how that affected the jury.
None of the physical evidence singled out Casey. Not the car, the trash bags, the duct tape, the dump site, the stickers, the computer, none of it. There were three other people that had the same access to those things that Casey did. Even if they'd proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that Caylee had been in the trunk, which they didn't, anyone who could have driven the car could have driven it with her in there. And at least two other people in the house had a key to the car. The third person owned the car before Casey, and I doubt they changed the locks.
Casey didn't report anything, and she's a liar. Everyone in the house is a proven liar. She was convicted of lying, so there should be no more whining about that. She didn't report anything, but then neither did anyone else, and not reporting a missing child was not against the law, hence the Caylee's Law proposals. Failure to report a crime is not a crime either. But since any suspicion of crime not reported is a red flag, how many of us would smell what we were sure was a dead body in the back of our daughter's abandoned car after not seeing her in some time, and would simply drive the car home and head back to work, rather than calling the cops on the spot?
Oh, and for the people who keep on crying about Baez not proving she drowned? He didn't have to. There is no burden of proof on the defense, and if the state tries to put it there, and they did, they will be checked for it. And they were. Try picking up a law book before you talk about what Baez was supposed to have done that he didn't do.
When you subtract all of this crap from the state's case, all you really have left is that a) Caylee is dead b) nobody knows how she died c) there's nothing the state can do to make that go away except try to make the jury hate Casey and feel sorry for Caylee, which they did try to do. It worked. The jury hates Casey, and they feel sorry for Caylee. But they did not allow that to change the basis on which they applied law.
All of these people stomping their feet led by the media need to carefully consider what they are demanding the courts and juries to do. They are telling the juries to ignore jurisprudence and do whatever the populace wants them to do whether there is legal justification or not. What these people forget is that the media and populace loves and has always loved a public hanging. Which means that when it's their turn...
I agree with you Bill. I think the verdict is a disgrace but I would never want to harm the jury for doing their job. Anyone that feels the jury or Casey Anthony herself should get shot, then they are no better than what they are accusing Anthony of doing to that little girl.
Jim 32068 - post 5.11. Do you have a secret wish to be apprehended and housed at public expense? Your posts are disturbing and you may be on the law enforcement radar. Better to think your thoughts silently rather than post them.
Personally I think she chloroformed her child, to knock her out, put duck tape on her so she could see, and the piece on the mouth was to keep her quiet. Hence she suffocated, Casey will have GODs judgement and it will be far worse than anything else.
What goes around , comes around.
That little precious girl is gone, but she is away from that GOD awful family.
People need to not do anything to Casey, she isn't worth it.
KaschK "Not the car, the trash bags, the duct tape, the dump site, the stickers, the computer, none of it. "
not true, it was caseys car, the laundrey bag, the stickers the duct tape and the computer search, all together point to casey,...the grandfather wouldnt have had the stickers and he didnt do the computer search, and he wasnt the one who lied and mislead the police about the whereabouts of the child,...as far as him taking the car,..im sorry but i dont think most people would have called the police right on the spot,..its quite reasonable for someone to take the car back, considering tesimoney said that they found garbage in the truck and intitially dissmissed the oder as that, it wasnt untill he was in the car for a length of time did he begin to think something was wrong,...in addition it defies reasonable logic to think the grandfather drove the car all the way out to where it was abandoned (near where casey was staying with her boyfriend) find some way back,..only to go back to the car later and drive it back,..it is however reasonable to conclude casey just dumped the car, after she was sick of the smell,.... grandmother didnt drive the car that day...she was at work....the grandmother was also at work at the time the chloroform search was made on the computer, according to the evidence at trial, the actual number of searches is irrelevant,....the oder in the car is established by the cadaver dog,...anything else about who smelled what is irrelevant,...the human olfactory sense in limited at best,..some people smell better than others...some people are sensitive to certian oders than others....a dogs sense of smell however is many time more sensitive than a human therefore not likely to be wrong.
it also matters that casey lied about the whereabouts of her daughter,..this implies she knew the daughter was dead,....innocent people do not lie to the extent she did in this kind of circumstance,...statistically speaking guilty people lie about thier crimes,...innocent people tell the truth...this goes a long way toward proving her guilt,...in order for her to be innocent you would have to demonstrate that her behavior is normal for innocent people in similar circumstances....verses the behavior of guilty people in similar circumstances,....what is more "reasonable" to believe?
while the defense is not obligated to prove anything at trial....however, if they want to provide reasonable doubt they do have to prove that thier explinations are in fact reasonable and not just fantasy....is the accidental drowning theory reasonable?....not based on the other evidence,...why not call 911 when the child was found? unreasonable for an innocent person,... why then dump the body in the swamp in trash bags? very unreasonable for an innocent person,...why the duct tape? why then mislead the police your family your friends about the where abouts of the dead child? why wait till two years sitting in jail charged with 1rst degree murder to decide that it might be a good idea to report the accident to the authorities? why then at trial to you bring up child molestation without ant proof, against you own father, who by your own assertion helped you get rid of the body?....is any of that "reasonable" behavior for an innocent mother?....you would have to be retarded to think that it is....if you can provide examples where this behavior is common among people in similar circumstances then it might be reasonable,....good luck with that.
Bravo, Bill. Thank you for not bending your mind to mob rantings. The criminal justice system works and the Constitutional stipulation of Innocence unless proved guilty still stands. Those who rage against the verdict are putting themselves in the same category as the Taliban where you are Guilty unless proved Innocent, or otherwise. subject to stoning at the hands of a merciless, mindless mob.
Just one thing, it wasn't the prosecutors who failed (if they in fact did), it was the total lack of perpetrator-specific evidence that brought the failure to convict.
Unfortunately Howard, you are right about there not being justice since none but Casey know how Caylee actually died (George?...come on...REALLY people? You are all believing the lies spewed by Baez who got them from Casey-a self-avowed expert liar)...
Vengeance, however, is not allowed under our laws. She got away with her crime. Period. End of story. There is nothing anyone can do except ignore her and anything or anyone connected with her. I like the shunning idea someone proposed.
I agree Bill...and I'm sure all those folks carrying placards and shouting unkind things go to church every Sunday and see themselves as good Christians. Ah yes, again all in the name of God.
Hey foolks, what ever happened to, "Vengence is mind sayeth the Lord"? Could it be that there are those who are not forever reverent? Well that's no surprise, I know of many "Christians" who are so in word only. I guess you heed not the words "Judge not, lest ye be judged". Shame; stock up on asbestos suits before the end would be my only suggestion for you.
Like it or not she was found "Not Guilty" by a jury of HER peers.
Nope Howard, adherence to the Constitutional Law they swore to uphold as jurists. You're innocent until proven guilty, the evidence didn't do that.
Oh; and ok so im gay, (like anyone would care what you espouse) "you aparently do not understand reasonable doubt" (sic); apparently I do. If you understood its meaning you would know that you don't find someone guilty as long as there is a reasonable doubt in your mind that it is not proved beyond a reasonable doubt. This is a very common charge given to a jury by the judge, especially when the verdict may produce a death sentence, as the prosecution in this case had stated it might.
OJ got off on the same grounds if you recall, and I doubt that he was innocent of the crime. Remember the defence phrase "If the glove doesn't fit you must acquit". It's the same, unfortunately, in this case too.
aliveinsd... There! I took the name of god in vain! Or at least the name of one who THINKS they are god; who else would know for sure that Casey is a murderess cow?
Actually, it was "Vegence is MINE, not MIND sayeth the Lord." And justice is not vengence. I want Justice for Caylee. However, Casey's behavior will come back to roost and she'll be back in jail in no time.
I do not believe the prosicution did a bad job, the presented what they were given. The police that were called in August may have helped the prosicution a little better if they had done their job and searched the woods better when they were called by kronk.
I do not understand the people that are blaming the prosicution for the lack of evidence when there was very little evidence to go by. 6 months in the swampy forrest with many animanls and insects to pick away at the remains and multiple storms.
Also with the car, I beleave that Cindy not on sprayed fabreeze to try and cover the smell up I believe she also cleaned that car up, I believe both parents helped cover this up.
The prosicution went with what they had. The only thing I do blame the prosicution for is they didn't charge her for more then what they did. If they had also charged her with negligence then maybe Casey would still be in Jail (where in my opinion she belongs).
The only thing I do blame the prosicution for is they didn't charge her for more then what they did. If they had also charged her with negligence then maybe Casey would still be in Jail (where in my opinion she belongs).
She was charged with manslaughter in addition to 1st degree murder. Manslaughter IS negligent homicide. Usually a 1st degree murder charge, which is premeditated intentional homicide, is accompanied by 2nd degree murder which is only intentional homicide in case the prosecution cannot show premeditation. Why they chose 1st degree and manslaughter is beyond me since premeditation and intent is at complete odds with negligence. It would be very tough to argue FOR 1st degree murder and not talk yourself out of a manslaughter conviction.
I don't believe how often I have to do this. The jury did NOT do their job! Not even a little bit. The Murder 1 charge could have been knocked down to manslaughter if they really wanted to do that... it was told to them in the judge's directions. They also didn't even consider the other counts at all! Counts 4 thru 7 Baez gave to them by admitting that Casey was a liar. Count 3 was aggravate child negligence. Anyone here going to say that she wasn't guilty of that? Anyone? Tell you what... I'll break it down into both sides (prosecution/ defense) and show how she is guilty in BOTH respects.
Prosecution: She waited 31 days to report her child missing. That's it... I don't need anything else. Everyone knows that the most important time to find a missing child is the first 72 hours, and the ONLY reason she reported on that 31st day was because her mom jammed the phone into her hand. If you listen to her 9-1-1 call, she sounds annoyed that she is doing it. GUILTY!!
Defense: Caylee drowned in the pool and she was there when she was fished out. (none of this was ever proven, but here we go) Casey was there when Caylee was pulled out and it was an accident... did she call 9-1-1 for medical assistance? No! Did she start CPR? Does she know how to do it, but no? Did she take her to the hospital? Nope. As a mother, she must provide medical care and as you see... she did not. Some will say that George wouldn't let her or scared her. It doesn't matter... she is RESPONSIBLE for her child! She is responsible to make sure that her daughter does not DIE right in front of her. In this story, she is MORE GUILTY than the prosecution's version.
For all of you defending the jury... the jury who is now CHARGING for interviews... can you seriously look at that and tell me they actually did their jobs? If you can seriously take their side after this post, you are as bigger fools than I thought.
@ No Career Politicians - The body was not only too decomposed but it was picked apart by animals and insects. There were no lungs to prove that Caylee did not drown.
You know, Scottie, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that the jury didn't want her to get the death penalty and in order to do that, they just declared not guilty to all the major charges. If that wasn't it, then they are simply beyond simple-minded because they disregarded so much. Then we have guys like you that don't have a clue. Now they are going to try to cash in on their bad judgment, which makes it look like that might have had a factor in their reasoning...
TY for that OBVIOUS correction Tam-3415368. I should blame it on Artie but it is my own fault for not noticing that OBVIOUS mistake. You know Artie? His last name is Riteus, and he tends to stiffen and pain the fingers of those who have worked hard all their lives. I hope YOU never have to meet him. (Can you say Arthritis?)
kinkomaster, your opinion is yours. The name calling and fun-poking is not really a good way to draw people to your side. Were You on that jury it would have been a hung jury, I suppose; but then the others on the jury might just have pointed to evidence that you missed from watching Nancy Grace and Her Ilk on TV. Your vehemence is akin to hers as are your posts, think about it.
Sorry Tam, its not that easy. I hope I didn't burst your belief in all advertising as being truthful and accurate. Try Parafin baths and specialized medicines and therapy; you might want to check your pocketbook first though.
jonjojon, opinion? Are you kidding? First off... I hate Nancy Grace... just can't stomach her. Yes, I know my posts are rather pointed, but it is due to my frustration level at having to deal with so many... illogical people. Above, I very simply showed how she is guilty of a charge. It isn't my opinion... it is straight forward fact. Denying it is simply closing your eyes and hoping that it goes away, but facts never leave... and these facts never will.
Yes, if I was on the jury, it would have been a hung jury. Do you know what that means? That means that she doesn't get to walk free of a crime that she is guilty of. That means that another jury... one that has all of its members graduated from HS and able to understand what is being said. A jury that doesn't have people convicted of crimes. A jury that doesn't have people who say they CAN'T JUDGE someone. I would have been happy to cause a mistrial if I saw what was going to happen.
As for the others pointing at evidence, it wouldn't have happened. They never called for the evidence. The ones that took notes didn't bring their notebooks back with them. They based their judgment off of something other than everything that happened for the last month. Yes, I would have been happy to cause a mistrial, and then I would have been more than happy to talk to the media about it. No... I wouldn't ask for money to give an interview... I think it is criminal to profit off of someone's death.
Ok, first of all, Baez denies any type of special relationship with Casey Anthony. Really? Does he arrange special housing for all of his clients? do all of his clients stroke his face ever so gently as she did that day in court? Why is it the attorney's problem to find her housing? I think it should be made clear that they are volunteering for this!
Second, and most important, I hope that whatever they do, they do withOUT taxpayer's money! We have wasted enough money on this child murderer, and just because she was found not guilty by 12 dimwits-I mean peers- does not mean she is innocent! She made her bed, she can lie in it as far as I'm concerned.
Her real personality will prevail. She's the party girl and no matter where they put her or how they change her looks, she'll get lonesome or bored and be back in her old milieu before long. Does she still have any real friends who'd take her in or want to be near her? It'd be like standing next to a flag pole in a lightning storm.
Yes, I saw a reporter on HLN describe it. Unfortunately, it was not caught on camera, but Casey Anthony and Baez were talking, he was on his knee at her level and she took her hand and stoked his face. wonder if his wife would like that? A couple of years ago, jail guards reported they had to separate the 2 from hugging. When asked about it all, Baez said he treats Casey just like any other client. Yeah, right! As far as friends, I don't think any of her old friends like her any more, but there are already people lining up giving her money and offering her a place to live. Really? Do they have children? I bet no sane parent would want this woman around their children!
Actually, who cares if she's around kids? If you believe the prosecution, she killed her daughter to live the party life. She doesn't just kill kids because its fun. So sure, let her hang out with your kids.
I have No children and want NO children to of mine to be left to the mess this country is in... I am however currently caring for my elderly father, once that is past I have ZERO obligations and nothing to worry about leaving behind should I happen upon this nice young lady out somewhere =) I have several sisters that will hopefully take my place if I happen to come across this nice young lady before my duties are over. Yep... I am saying what you think I am saying and if Casey comes to her demise at the hands of a razor sharp titanium blame I dont mind being the first suspect... I am sharpening the blade to an even sharper edge as we speak as shaving with it isnt quite sharp enough....final honing is the next step.. its theraputic to sharpen a blade so and yes if need be, i can be considered a bit of a phsycho.... =D the b1tch is evil... but not as evil as I CAN be... I hope to meet her.
I agree, I don't think she poses a great danger to kids. I think she poses a greater danger to the general public because of her history of slandering complete strangers and her compulsive and habitual thievery.
She stole from her own family so I`m sure she has no moral objections to stealing from complete strangers.
jim...Seriously, you need some professional help. You are too sick to live in a free society. Until you manage to get your disgusting killing fantasies under control, stay away from people and off this vine. I agree, you are evil.
WHY? It is not anyones right to kill her. Also why would you want to destroy your life, family or freedom to get revenge. It is over with. Leave her to her own devices.
behonest - you are right that no one has the right to kill her and it would be insane to even say one would. I disagree though to leave her to her own devices and that it is over with. It is not over with, she still has lawsuits to deal with. Now how she will do that in hiding I have no clue. Or maybe they'll just say no more lawsuits. Anyone not having reported his/her child missing, and I am tired of hearing she didn't report it until after 31 days, she never would have reported it, her mother did, should be guilty of manslaughter through neglect, at least! Baez defense was ridiculous, he downgraded everyone on the stand he accused everyone on the stand, and I hope like heck that they will all sue her for defamation, all of them, because that is what she did! These people will never have a life like they used to because of her lies and Baez's accusations. How could the jury have believed him. And I agree with someone saying that there is no way that the jury didn't hear about this case unless they have no TVs, no newspapers, or no life, crazy and ridiculous, they knew of the case! Liars supporting a big liar, sounds reasonable.
Although I most definitely would never wish for anyone to cause her death, I do hope that she will be shunned, that would be worse than anything. She deserves no less for putting so many people in a negative spotlight. Baez made up so many stories it was sickening to listen to him. Now all mothers who intend to kill their babies will look up Baez to make that possible and get off. It sounds sick I know, but think about it how many have killed their kids in lakes by driving a car with them in it into the lakes, one started it and others followed, same with bathtub killings, one did it and then we heard of three more after that. Guys killing their wives and then pretend they ran off with other guys, one started it and others followed. Now something else started and how long before someone will copy it? Not so far fetched anymore is it? Baez really never talked of Caylee, just how bad everyone connected to Casey was/is.
I watched most of the trial and was sick at my stomach with all the flirting that Casey did with Baez. He didn't look like he had told her to "stop it!" Her eyes and face were very expressive, especially when the jury wasn't present so all they saw was the stone face. She appeared angry and hate emanating from her eyes/face at times when either or both of her parents were on the stand testifying. I just feel so bad for that poor little girl and it is a shame that her mother allowed her to disappear when she was the last to see her. Now there are those on this forum who are complaining that NO ONE reported Caylee missing; however, George and Cindy didn't know she was missing, because Casey - who is an adult, although seemingly not a responsible adult, moved out of the house after an argument and it took that long for the parents to even track down Casey. Then they demanded where Caylee was, as soon as they found their daughter and didn't get any reliable answers - because she evidently was already dead! It is not against a law for an adult to move away from their family without any notification of their whereabouts! That doesn't make George and Cindy responsible, just Casey who disappeared with her daughter and then made up multiple false stories about what had been happening. As she said to that one person after a phone call, "Damn, I'm a good liar!" What a shame.
"I agree, I don't think she poses a great danger to kids."
really?!!,..so you think if she could kill her own daughter and throw her away like trash, that she would give your kids special consideration?...lol...alrighty then.
All I can say is this needs to just be over. I'm so sick of hearing Casey Anthony every time I turn on cable news. Babies get killed every day sadly but Nancy Grace does not go on and on about those babies she should be a shamed. This case wouldn't be as big as it is if it wasn't for N. Grace night after night. But when it was other babies she just skimmed over it she a sick woman just wanting to write a book on this.
I wonder if Nancy Grace ever proselytized much on the disappearance of a Child of Color as much as she has on any of the recent White Child programs? I know she's mentioned a few in passing but I don't recall ANYTHING in depth on those cases.
By the way, speaking of the reported gentle stroke on the face which no-one else saw; wouldn't you be eternally and totally grateful to anyone who got you out of a presumed death by lethal injection?
Oh Lord!!!!! Our society is in desperate need of public hangings, I guarantee you people after the first 5 criminals like Casey are hung publicly people's behavior will change for the best.
Good luck to you out there Mrs. Murderous Bitch!!!!
Having Nancy Grace's name brought up just turns my stomach. The sad thing is that someone else and I joked about this weeks ago if Casey got out... :( ... but we thought it would be funny if Casey got a 60 minute show in order to address Nancy and he 3 year crusade against "tot mom". The show would be called, "In your face, Nancy Grace." There would be a picture of Nancy with duct tape over her mouth at the start. I know... bad taste, but after 3 years... you know Casey would jump at the chance to do it!
Kinkomaster. I'm just fed up with the Bullsh!. Now the Arenas would be a good idea, the thing is that they wouldn't teach people what they need to learn because their lack of common sense, education, responsibility and, civics, therefore I'll stick to the public hangangings.
Well, Jhon, hangings won't do anything either. When stupid people have a chance to get rich and all they have to do is something risky... well... most idiots take the chance because they don't think ahead. Learning all of that stuff needs to be taught at home and... well, we know the chances of that now and days. How many guys hold doors open for women below the age of 30? How many people below the age of 30 are respectful to authority figures? Ya, parent's called it in and made careers and their own lives more important... just look at Casey. How much actual time did she spend with Caylee compared to just dumping her off with someone so she could go out?
Naw... hangings are too quick... too clean. We've become too efficient. Naw, the arena allows them to drag the pain out... and allows us to enjoy their misery. I'll take it all week and twice on Sunday.
Oh Lord!!!!! Our society is in desperate need of public hangings, I guarantee you people after the first 5 criminals like Casey are hung publicly people's behavior will change for the best
Jhon, you appear to be REAL big into the public hangings. There isn't a whole lot to those. Naw... we need to bring back the days of the arenas. I know that some people don't think it would do anything and no one would want to watch people die for sport, but you all couldn't be more wrong.
Football is a gladiator game... just without the weapons. Watch the fans in the stands... in the bars... see how intense they get. How primal they get when there is a huge hit. Notice how everyone is getting mad that the NFL is taking away the big hits?
As for no one liking blood... please. How many times have you been driving along and then the road is suddenly jammed up. Why? Because people have to drive by a big wreck real slow to see if they can see if someone is hurt. Don't try and tell me it is because they are worried about the person. Bull... they want to see someone injured.
You bring back the arenas and put it on Pay per View... you would be AMAZED at what the income would be. Tell you what... since they are executions, we can put all the money towards the national debt.
Heh heh... so... can you tell if I'm being sarcastic or serious?
Kinkomaster. I'm just fed up with the Bullsh!. Now the Arenas would be a good idea, the thing is that they wouldn't teach people what they need to learn because their lack of common sense, education, responsibility and, civics, therefore I'll stick to the public hangings.
Now I ask you, can you tell if I'm being sarcastic or serious???
While I think she did it, the justice system says she is innocet. End of story. Leave her alone and let her live her life. The last thing we need is for some self-righteous gun-clinger out there to impose their "jusitce" on her.
Under US law, you are innocent until proven guilty (which is why the burden of proof is on the accuser, not the accused), and being acquitted of the charges means that she is an innocent woman with the full rights and privileges of a US citizen.
People's sense and definition of moral innocence is not the same as the legal concept of innocent.
I agree. She was innocent. All those lies told were because of her sorrow! BS!BS!BS! If common sense doesn't tell you that she was guilty; nothing will! Her jury dropped the ball. Circumstantial evidence was overwhelming! Her jury was comprised of idiots!
If I were on a jury and the defendant was facing the death penalty, there would be no way in hell I would say guilty unless they had 100% proof of everything and even then, I don't think I could judge someone and say they deserve to die and have to live with that decision for the rest of my life. No way.
As far as Casey Anthony, we'll never know what happened, so why do people torment themselves with anger when the only ones they are hurting are themselves. And if some idiot comes along and kills her, then they will be the murderer facing death or life in prison. This horrible event is over, get on with you lives.
The only reason the Jury keeps adding in that they think she is guilty is so no one will shoot them. Because we all know Nancy Grace's and her Followers would be screaming that they are guilty and are deserving of death too.
I believe Casey killed her daughter Caylee, I do, But I am fine with the judgement, the State messed up by over charging the case because of all the media around it. They knew the evidence they had could not support their charges.
BTW if anyone feels free to bitch slap the lead Pros and the lead female I would be very happy. Watch their faces during the defense's opening statement. Their @!$%#ing laughing and snickering. I do not care if you think his ideas are stupid that was a death penalty case for the murder of a 2 year old child... YOU DO NOT LAUGH DURING THE TRAIL!
As far as not letting her near children, that's stupid the State claims (And yes I say claims as she was not found guilty so its the proper way to say it) she killed her daughter to go out partying.. so how would your kids stop that?
I think anyone who goes after her should be immediately lined up and filed into the deepest darkest pit of a prison we can find, because those are the people who deserve life in prison.
Believe it or not, there is a difference between a killer and a murderer. I believe a killer is someone who will keep doing it till stopped or caught while a murderer kills someone under a specific circumstance and is unlikely to kill again.
The trail is over, the blood lusters lost and their all angry about it. Let them whine and they will get over it as soon as the next big case comes through. Their very simple minded folk you know.
Hey, "thelastsane1" (which incidently I question)---where are you getting your terms and definitions from...thelastdictionary? YOU can believe anything you like about what constitutes murder versus killing, but the court system sees it in different levels of homicide down to manslaughter which may or may not be intentional. They've all admitted someone in that family murdered that little girl or by neglect allowed her to die, so there you have a simple choice--murder (homicide) or manslaughter? You know what you don't have? You DON'T have a "everyone's innocent so let's just go home, nobody killed the little girl or allowed her to die, it's just a bad dream"!
And sorry, but I feel someone who kills an innocent little girl (or allows her to die and then hides her body, like that's not odd behavior for an innocent person) and is murdered themselves, are redeemed by like coin if you will---and I do not believe that a murderer's life or a neglectful parent's, is worth the same as an innocent little girl's. I think parents who willfully allow something bad to happen to their children should be publicly whipped--to the brink of death.
"As far as not letting her near children, that's stupid the State claims (And yes I say claims as she was not found guilty so its the proper way to say it) she killed her daughter to go out partying.. so how would your kids stop that?"
i think the logic here is flawed....if casey mudered her child and dumped the body in the manor it was found,...i doubt she would give you or anyone elses child anything but the same consideration...if she has the moral fortitude to comit this crime then there would be "no" crime that is off her repertoire....she only needs an excuse to do it.
If I were on a jury and the defendant was facing the death penalty, there would be no way in hell I would say guilty unless they had 100% proof of everything and even then, I don't think I could judge someone and say they deserve to die and have to live with that decision for the rest of my life. No way.
Then, please don't serve on a jury for a death penalty case.
First, a trial isn't about you and your beliefs. Second, your task as a juror isn't to decide if the state should use the death penalty (see First). Third, there is only one way to have the level of proof you insist upon- a video of the crime with there being NO possible way the perpetrator is anyone other than the defendant. Even eye-witness testimony has been found to be unreliable based on memory and perception of events. Lastly, there will always be some degree of doubt because few will self-incriminate- most of the guilty will lie about their guilt. The degree of proof is not 100%, it is what is "reasonable" which implies a juror must use logic and reasoning skills to deduce what occurred and who did what in the criminal act.
If you have difficulty understanding the concepts involved determining guilt or innocence, then you have no place in the jury system.
Casey Anthony's lawyers need to do first things FIRST with regard to her safety, and DROP the motion to appeal her lying convictions! I know it probably won't go anywhere - Lord knows there's not a Florida judge crazy enough to vacate those convictions - but, if it were to happen, I have to believe SOMEONE would make it their life's mission to hunt CA down and do her harm. For one thing, we know Orange County taxpayers have to foot the bill for the appeal...but, WHO on earth can afford to put that woman up in a "safe house" and hire round-the-clock bodyguards for her???? This is total madness! Get the woman a passport, buy her a one-way ticket to the country of her choice, and let her work on becoming anonymous. No more coddling for Casey Antony! That said, I don't want any harm to come to her. Spending the rest of her life with all she has done hanging over her head is enough punishment for me.
that would be fine with me too, Bolo, if she once acted like she gave enough of a crap to have anything hanging over her head. All she was worried about was getting her skinny bucktoothed a$$ out of jail and get back to partying.
I like the idea of shipping her out of the country though---I think either Somalia or Afghanistan would work fine. She could make herself useful, even if it's only by being a target so the inhabitants can work on their aim. :-)
Oh they won't drop the appeal then when she has to appear for the deposition in the civil suit aganist her by Zanida Gonozalls she would have to admit to lying about having left Caylee with a nanny by that name whom later kindnapped and killed her. WHICH we know she lied about because her defense attorney admitted in open court that she did. The appeal holds no water its just to stall the civil suit. Due to having filed the appeal she can plead the 5th at the deposition. Lets make sure her rights to self incrimination are protected.....
This woman may have been acquitted in a murder trial...but, the defense conceded the fact that Casey Anthony had - at the very least - a "role" in putting duct tape on her child's face, wrapping her in two plastic garbage bags, then put in a laundry bag they had in their garage, and then dumping Caylee's lifeless body in a swamp a few houses down from her family home! We may never know how Caylee died...but, we will ALWAYS remember how her dead body was treated - like so much household garbage. I will never, ever forget this...
Perhaps so Bolo - but dwelling on it is not going to help you either. You may not like the trial results, but they are what they are. People need to move on and get on with their own lives.
Making threats against Casey, her parents, the defense team and the jury is not going to bring back Caylee nor will it give her any justice.
We have enough problems going on in the world today that people don't need to obsess over this one case. The threats being made are out of line. Period.
BJs--Bolo didn't threaten anybody, take it up with Psycho Jim if you want to start throwing punctuation around at folks---exclamation point!! And unless you're on that little pig's legal team I can't imagine how you can think people can forget about the way that little girl's tiny little corpse was treated...do you have kids? Can you visualize them dead in a garbage bag with tape over their mouths??? In a swamp??? Who the hell in their right mind throws away their dead child????? I don't think there is ONE SINGLE OTHER PROBLEM IN THE WORLD AS SERIOUS AS THIS ONE. Honestly I am getting very tired of hearing about starving people in whatever country, who then open fire on us when we come to render aid, or come to this country and start a radical mosque, or suffer because they make cheap crap and sell it to their own people who sicken and die from it---that is the stuff I for one am getting sick of hearing about. Justice for an abused child??? Never gets old with me. I want to see it, every single time, and I have trouble going off subject until it is rendered.
"but dwelling on it is not going to help you either. You may not like the trial results, but they are what they are. People need to move on and get on with their own lives."
you are being presumtuous....who are you to tell anyone to "move on" ?
personally i think people should be outraged and casey should find a nice dark hole to climb in and rot....while i dont think threatening casey is helpful,...but personally...if some wacko wants to gun her down...ill not loose any sleep over it.
Hey Sonata's... You are right about people not looking at how this child was disposed of like so much trash..."oh yes, well, it had to be an accident" or "oh, we don't KNOW exactly what happened so we can't say any crime happened"...and so on and so forth. They totally miss why we have jury trials in the first place (or at least one of the reasons). Who expects the majority of the guilty to confess? Or for there to be a line of witnesses to the event? Or a video? That is why the evidence is to be considered not as individual pieces but taken as a whole...each piece is part of the puzzle.
As to those who miss the point of all the rage over this case, they just don't seem to get that Caylee Anthony became the touchstone for the current application of the justice system in relation to the vulnerable, the victims who seem to get lost in all of the confusion ( as in what it means to use reason).
Yes, there have been injustices perpetrated against the innocent by the state in the past, but we have moved too far in the other direction when the basic, most common skill of reasoning deserts 12 citizens. The jurors who said they don't think she is innocent but were not sure as to what she did, should have refused to say she was not guilty. It has nothing to do with what is "wanted" for an outcome. It is outrage that our system has allowed the pendulum to swing so far in the opposite direction we allow this in order to appear politically correct or to "right wrongs of the past". How much intellect is required to understand that the evidence is taken as a whole not as individual pieces and that stories unsubstantiated by evidence or testimony does not equate with "reasonable" doubt? Apparently too much for today's culture.
I will tell people to move on because what I'm seeing and reading here on Newsvine alone is enough to tell me people are all riled up over this. Bitching about it isn't going to change anything. Nothing at all.
People are making threats - implied or outright - and if anyone gets hurt - the jury, Casey's family or Casey herself (and those who just happen to look like her!) it will be because somebody didn't get the message that this just one case. It's over. Deal with it.
You'd be losing sleep over it if it was an innocent person who gets hurt or killed because of some wacko who wants to kill the jury, the family or Casey (or a Casey lookalike.) Yes - you absolutely should lose sleep over it. The next case may affect you personally. Do you really want that type of vigilante justice? No. You do not.
The duct tape was not found ON the body, it was found "nearby" and it had not one cell of human DNA on it nor finger prints to conclude it was ever on Caylee nor touched by Casey. It was unique duct tape but it was sold in a local public store. There was a roll of it at the search command center, sopposedly left there by George. They couldn't prove it came off that same roll or that it came from the same roll as the tape on the gas cans.
The heart stickers were not on the duct tape, they were on a piece of cardboard found 30 feet away near a school, again no DNA nor prints. Those stickers did not match those found in the Anthony house.
The media fed us a lot of misinformation compared to what the jury saw and heard. Casey is guilty of something, but NOT guilty of the theory the DA proposed.
I salute the bravery of the jury and I rejoice that our justice system worked in this case. That doesn't mean I like Casey, and yes, my heart does bleed for Caylee.
God will sort this out.
PS.....for those of you posting about letting her babysit or not..............why do you assume she would even want to?
Have to ask. Did you watch the trial?? Did you watch the entire trial? I did. Not on television but on a youtube station so I did not have anyone spouting their opinions while I was trying to watch with an open mind. I watched in the evenings when I had time. While you are correct there was duct tape nearby there absolutely was duct tape attached to Caylee's skull. The duct was attached to her skull and "plant matter" roots had grown in it. That piece of duct tape was what kept the mandible connected to the skull. Other wise the mandible would have become detached from the skull as the soft tissue decomposed and more then likely would have been carried off by an animal as a lot of the body was. WHICH is why the duct tape is an issue... a part of factual evidence (there were pictures shown to the jury of the skull when it was found with the duct tape clearly attached) that does not fit the "accidental drowning" thrown out by the defense. To say Caylee drowned accidentally and duct tape was placed over her airway and then she was placed in a garbage bag and literally disposed of by throwing her in the swamp to cover up an accident... That isn't reasonable. Okay she drowned you wanted to cover it up. What is the reason for the duct tape??? The heart sticker was at some point attached to the duct tape attached to the skull. The sticker itself had decomposed in the water (forensic analysis testimony) but under the microscope using analternate light source the residue from the sticker showed a clear out line of a heart (also photographed and shown). IMO if the duct tape had not been attached to caylee's skull the DA would not have considered the charges he did. In any explanation the duct has no place. That is why the duct tape became so important. They also had forensic analysis provide a picture of caylee with where the duct tape would have covered from the position on the skull. They did find stickers that matched in the home but Baze brought up the hobby the family seemed to share of scrapbooking so they found several stickers through out the house. But some in a box in Caseys room did match the outline. Color couldn't be seen because the actual paper had long since gone. DNA and fingerprints would not have been found because of the water and the conditions where the body was disposed of. Fingerprints don't last forever and not under water.
Casey is out I believe she is guilty but I wouldn't waste my time threatening her or the jurors especially those jurors who want to be left alone and haven't "charged" for or even talk to the media. If people want to make a difference advocate for change. Put your frustration to good use now.
@Alissa, I couldn't have said it any better myself. I also watched the entire trial and believe that Stormy does not have all the info correct. THERE WAS DUCT TAPE ON THE SKULL.
Stormy, god will sort this out? He tried and screwed it up. god gave us a jury that couldn't find their a$$es with both hands, and they blew the 3 most important counts... counts 2 and 3 being slam dunks, and count 1 just needing a little logic to figure out, but having 3 other levels below Murder 1 below it. Yet, they came back with 6 "not guilties" for those 3 counts.
It also appears that your god gave you bad information about the case. Luckily for you, Alissa was here to correct more of his errors. Hopefully, you take advantage of that.
Like a lot of your brethern that have been praying for the correct verdict and now for the things to be put right, it appears that your god is off playing skeeball instead of listening to your prayers. Maybe instead of dumping everything at god's feet and begging him to take care of you... you stand up and take care of yourself for once. Put one ounce of all that faith that you have for god into yourself, and maybe... just maybe... when you find yourself praying, it won't be asking him for stuff, but thanking him for giving you strength to do things without him.
@ Kinkomaster, very well said. If their God was so friggin mighty and powerful and proects us from evil, why in the hell would he have let this happen to Caylee and her murderer go free?
Why would he even let someone like that have children when there are MANY loving people who would give everything to be a parent not be able to?
I do not believe that if their was an entity such as there God I would not have had ovarian cancer at the age of 21.
Now that she is out of jail she is on her own dime. No taxpayer money will pay to keep her safe unless "there is a credible threat" as stated by the authorities.
Unfortunatly she has many worshipers who will still give her plenty of attentiona and she will still get exactly what she wants. FAME from this horrific situation. She is an ugly person, I would love to have the opportunity to be a mother and she just threw her child away like yesturdays garbage, whether it be murder or an accident you just don't throw your child away like that.
How can anyone worchip, condone or defend the fact that she threw her child away and partied like nothing was wrong. I would be devastated at the loss of my child. I just do't understand how her mind works.
I just wonder if the Police could believe her if she called in for help? That would be wrong, but she's kind of pulled the shadow of belief over her head. She should be left alone, given enough rope she'll hang herself. No I don't mean for real, it's an expression that says people will push the envelope until it collapses. As for she and her attorney, they're both consenting adults, admittedly if he messes with her, then he has poor taste in the opposite sex. But that's just my opinion. She'll eventually get 'hooked' up with some thug and nature will take it's course, the greedy with the greedy.
Funny you should ask if the Police would believe her if she called for help. I received an email joke yesterday that addresses exactly that. It was a conversation between a caller and the dispatcher. The caller was pleading for help and the dispatcher asked her name. When the caller said "Casey Anthony", the dispatcher told her "an officer will be there in 31 days".
all the people so passionate about this case, saying they are doing it for the child.what a bunch of BS.they doing for themselves.threatening her,the lawyers or the jurors.they no better than she is.maybe we should get rid of juries and let the mob decide.
.....or intelligent professional jurors or as you say get rid of verdict by popular jury and adopt the French system of judges...... If I'm guilty I want Casey Anthony's jury or something of a similar composition, otherwise I want one of the others...
This is to dumbass american: Right! Some of the comments posted here were nothing less that psychotic. They are no better that what they themselves think of Casey. What is up with that.....I cannot believe some of the posts! They would want to put Casey on DEATH ROW for the comments they made their own self!
Pamela, I believe you are referring to our buddy Jim whose comments are collapsed as soon as he stops typing them...so if you don't want to be shocked, don't open 'em and read 'em. They're collapsed for a reason.
Your last sentence made absolutely no sense whatsoever.
all the people so passionate about this case, saying they are doing it for the child.what a bunch of BS.they doing for themselves.threatening her,the lawyers or the jurors.they no better than she is.maybe we should get rid of juries and let the mob decide.
I agree. Just as the witch hunts were nothing more than a religious excuse to satisfy a blood lust I believe the same is true of Caylee Anthony. These people don't really care Caylee. They are using Casey as an excuse to satisfy their murderous urges.
Aptly named. People are emotionally relating to this, not because of the media frenzy or a mob mentality but because unlike other mothers who sadly kill their children, she went even beyond. She created incredibly complex lies about where Caylee was and what fun she was having., "she was with the nanny," " she was At Busch Gardens with a friend and her little daughter playing" , "she might be going to Disneyworld," "no you can't talk to her, she's sleeping." Meanwhile she knows her child is rotting in a hot, wet swamp where animals and bugs can get to her. This is why people are reacting. She went WAYYYY beyond the pale of anything anyone who bore a child would do. Even animals grieve the loss of their young....she parties. That's why people are angry.
If George and Cindy hadn't pursued this, I don't think Casey would ever have reported Caylee missing.
I am not calling for her blood, I would have been satisfied with life in prison. I am not a mother sadly, but I grieve the death of Caylee, what I wouldn't give to have been able to have a child, I wish Cindy would have let Casey put her up for adoption and maybe that beautiful child would still be on this earth.
Caylee is all I think about when I look at my niece that is the same age as she was when she passed. I would lose it if anything ever happened to her.
I think that you should have to go through the same process on reproducing as you do to adopt a child or an animal. Why should people like Casey be able to reproduce and other people who would love a child nd care for a child the way they deseserve not be able to have children. Its just not right.
The majority of the people posting here seem to have forgotten we live in a nation of laws and have a Constitution. She was found not guilty by a jury of her peers. The same rights you would have if you were on trial.
My daughter who is both a defense attorney and mother of young children told me on the Friday before the jury got the case, the trial was over and that the state proved nothing and that the jury would come back with a not guilty in less than two days.
if the posters that are complain what to be upset, be upset at the state. The jury did what they were supposed to do and found the only verdict they could. No emotion. Just facts.
If your daughter is a defense attorney of the same caliber of the sleazy attornies in the Casey Anthony case, I sure wouldn't brag about it! As for the jurors, they totally bought Baez's lies right from the beginning. It's a shame no one cared about the dead little girl.
I was with a group of lawyer last week who all had the same opinion. Good thing she is in Florida and not Texas! They all agree the circumstancial case that was presented was solid and they would live to go to court with that case. Here, she would probably not be on death row, but would have gotten a life sentence. They said Florida is famous for this kind of verdict. Too bad that the change of venue could not have been another state.
Maybe the Casey Anthony jury could go on the road. All defendants need is a swimming pool, bathtub or back steps or ....... ! They might publish a full list of alternative theories they particularly like and that the mere mention of makes them tremble with worry.... They will not guarantee that intellectual rigor and perceptiveness will be brought to bare in assessing all the evidence, especially behavioral but they will guarantee that they have not heard an alternative theory they didn't like and couldn't quite easily seriously fret over as a very real likelihood of having actually happened.
Oh BS espy. I find it hilarious how every single theory and argument the prosecution used to try to convict, as well as now nearly every single argument the people in this country are attempting to use to whine about that failure to convict are based on fallacious reasoning.
If you're going to dispute the claims of Clay's daughter, come up with some actual valid reasoning. Not a weak and blatantly obvious ad hominem. Dare to be different from the rest of these people please.
Yeah, Clay, some people dont even know who to direct their anger at. But it is a good thing that the jurors did NOT act out of their emotions. All of these emotional people need to take a look in the mirror. They want to ACT OUT THIER EMOTIONS ON ANYONE. This is a case of PTSD in the American Public. Everyone is angry and noone knows how to handle it. WE NEED WILLIAM GLASSER! I am a fan of his school of thought.
Barbiebaby, it's called compartmentalization. The juror would recognize any emotion he/she felt and then put it aside in order to objectively analyze the evidence. One possible compartmentalization technique could be substituting a fictional victim from a CSI or Law & Order-type show for Caylee.
The jury is charged with finding the defendant guilty, not guilty, but do they have any responsibility for the victim - or is the victim just thrown out like the baby with the bath water - in this case in a swamp just down the street from where they lived. So does the defendant have the defense attorneys as well as the jury protecting them, with only the prosecution having concern for the victim? I don't really know the answers and have not been on a jury myself.
Any loving grandparent should have figured it out before 31 days, too. Cindy told the truth when she said she was the one looking up chloroform, she's the nurse who may have done something like the prosecution thought. Instead of Casey killing her daughter so they couldn't have her, it could have been the other way around. Being married to a cheat and a molester may have finally did her in, and she snapped. You should have proof to convict, instead of just believing people's opinions. Opinions are like A.Hs.
Cindy was at WORK, logging in information on her work computer when the computer search on chloroform was being made. Cindy said she did a search on chlorophyll and chloroform came up by accident., she was lying.
The words "chloroform", "household accidents" "shovel" and "break neck" were typed in specifically while Cindy and George were at work, and Casey was the only other one who had access to the computer.
The loving grandparents were told on a daily basis (by Casey) that either Casey and Caylee were out of town while Casey was on a business trip, and Caylee was being taken care of by either the babysitter or several friends. They were out of town visiting a friend. Caylee was sleeping. etc,, all the while Casey was in town, with no job, with her boyfriend and partying.
They are a sick, dysfunctional family and the culmination of the lying and subterfuge is the death of a young girl. The Casey apple did not fall far from the Cindy tree.
@ Sharon - The defference between Cindy and Casey is Casey is still alive While poor little Caylee is not. Cindy may be a liar (and I believe it was to save her daughter) but she not a murderer.
@ KaschK
I did not dispute Clay's claims, I voiced an opinion which, last time I checked, I was entitled to do as long as I abide by the rules. Your effusive florality of speech does not make your opinion more valid than mine; and I tried to do it without rudeness or condescension.
The prosecution built one solid circumstantial evidence case, which used to be enough to convict before all the C.S.I. shows started solving complex crimes in less than an hour after finding one hard piece of DNA or other (established and acceptable) forensic evidence. The prosecution presented a strong enough case that the first vote by the jury was split to convict, but then they started thinking about the extra week or so they would be sequestered during the sentencing phase, and then they all chickened out and voted to acquit.
Really nmanx62, you got proof the jury chickened out....or perhaps the prosecution failed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt....what evidence did they have that showed she killer her, hmmm or how did she die? hmmmmm All they know is she is dead....
Why are peopl so fixated on her, yet that little Girl Zaria...what happened there hmmmm because idiots like you and the rest are to fixated on this crap....
Hope all of you casting your hide behind your keyboards BS get whats coming to you too. Mind your own business you bunch of trailer trash and shut your mouths. She's not guilty. Live with it. Now go back to your worthless diets that never are going to work and take care of your own lives.
Um, Banker? You're making us think you're an idiot...be quiet before we're convinced of it. And just because YOU have a computer doesn't mean all that do are trailer trash. Nor does it mean we all need to diet. You sound like you're pissed because (a) you live in a trailer (b) you can only get mad at people on the computer and (c) you're fat and your diets never work.
AJ--they also know that she was thrown into a swamp like garbage. They do know that. And they do know who did that.
Obviously the forsenic evidence in the swamp is not present to put someone behind jail for the death of Caylee.
Your conspriracy attempt is layden with dramatic expose's of being made to sound like the case was meant to be a cliff hangar.
With holding such evidence like you are saying that they doing is a felony offense. Especially in a murder trial. Such with holding could see those doing the with holding thrown in jail for a very long time as well as being looked upon as the murderer.
I guess the lesson in this is if you murder someone and can hide the body away long enough for it to rot into nothing but bones, then a FL jury will find you not guilty because there is no DNA left or the murder didn't take place in front of a camera.
You are absolutely on point there. I would have imagined that there is a "don't throw your family member's body into a swamp to rot" law on the books somewhere but guess not. Good to know.
You're exactly right about that. Remember she was upset when she was first arrested and then bailed out because it was raining so there were no news helicopters overhead. The one thing that would probably upset her the most is a public shunning. If people refused to let her into restaurants, bars, clubs, parties, malls, etc., she's such a narcissist it would absolutely drive her crazy.
I don't understand why Mr. Mason and Mr. Baez can't trade off letting her stay with them as their nanny?
Change the tattoo to "Vida Misera"..... no party girl life...nowhere...no way.
jakester! HER POOR PARENTS!!!! Why should they bare NO BLAME? They raised Casey Anthony! They instilled this in the girl! There is something fishy with them BOTH!!!! Do you really think that Casey was just borne with these problems? NO! This all happened due to her ENVIRONMENT! And where was that??? AT HER PARENTS HOME. Thoughts and prayers my foot! Lets unravel the riddle ALL OF THE WAY HOME!
well thanks for your opinion. however you're terribly mistaken. Casey is mentally ill, its not uncommon these day for young people to treat the parents like this. Are you a perfect parent? have you ever had a druggy club slut daughter?
Things you should ask yourself before you judge them. I never said the parents should "bare no blame" its simply not my job to judge them. of course they were bad parents, bad parents are EVERYWHERE. In fact i'm sure you know some bad parents.
You are right it is all due to her environment, you know the club party life environment. After all she is an adult (kinda). do you know her childhood history? for all you know this was because of drugs and the club life she began as an adult! can you prove otherwise? how much do you know about her upbringing? other then her claims of abuse?
Pamela, After I wrote back I read one of your other posts about what you personally went through. I'm very sorry you had to go through that. However I don't think Casey went5 through anything like that. I will pray for you as well, I hope that you find peace.
Casey Anthony needs more than a safe house... She needs a conscience and a soul. Ever notice how she looks a lot like Jared Loughner?
http://americans4commonsense.newsvine.com/_news/2011/07/15/7088984-casey-anthony-jared-loughner-can-you-see-any-photo-similarities
all these elaborate protection ideas sound like something that the order of the phoenix would come up with
I feel bad for anyone who happens to look like Casey. There's a woman in Oklahoma (of all places) who was mistaken for her and a lady drove her off the road.
This is why people need to take a step back and calm down. If you're one of those who want to hurt Casey - you may make a mistake and target the wrong person!
Calm down and move on.
After all the trouble she went through to get rid of her kid so she could go out partying, now she has to stay home and hide. What a shame.
Jim I suspect you are going to be getting a visit from the local authorities yourself given your comment here... good grief find a brain and use it.
I reckon it would have been a lot cheaper and a lot less trouble to just hire a baby sitter.
If anyone thinks she is going to go into hiding they are smokin' some pretty good dope. Baez is going to take her to his home (does he have any small kids?) and she will be out partying by this next weekend. Sociopaths do not change their ways once they start killing.
High school drop out. She will be back in jail sooner or later...O.J. had the wrap beat. There is just something really wrong with those POS...
Because then you become no better than her, thats why, you are not in a place to judge
Do a Google search for "OJ Guilty but not of Murder". It looks like the LAPD got that case wrong and it was in fact OJ's son Jason who did the killings. The jury in the first OJ trial got it right.
It is possible the jury was correct here as well.
Jim:
You are one scary and dangerous person---as you can see below when commenting, MSNBC warns each of us "You are posting this comment to a publicly viewable discussion".
Most likely now you have put yourself on the "Watch List" for whomever may harm Casey--from all Authorities of the Law.
One cannot take back their words; that is why it is wise to not say anything lethal like what was said in your content--
Good luck from staying away from Legal inquiries; or profiling.
Oh please, JS in SD!!
Elie:
Lying doesn't "kill". No one knows who killed her baby girl, Caylee. The Jurors did a decent and fair job, with what they had to go on.
Some day, Casey will slip up again, and she'll be caught in a similar situation.
Pathological liar?---I know many of them, but they do not kill.
Wrap yourselves in the flag, sing God Bless America, but never call it Justice when it doesn't go your way.
What a disgusting bunch of American imposters on this thread.
I hear she pissed off so many Liberals that Fox News offered her a job.
(for those who's knees just started twitching - that was a dig at both parties)
(sad that scarcasm needs a foot note these days)
superaverageguy: Order of the Phoenix? Cute! You better be careful, though-don't wanna start any rumors about Casey being a witch! jk
Casey Anthony may have been 'freed,' but she will never be truly free, ever again:
She will bear the mark of Cain for the rest of her days.
@Hawaii2
Period.
If anything happens to her they should arrest Nancy Grace and a lot of other repulsive "hanging judges" in the media.
But I don't think she will be happy at all
It's only normal that she should celebrate now.
Does anyone remembers that Clint Eastwood Movie from the 70's "Hang E'm High"pretty good movie that was, it teaches a valuable lesson when it comes to justice. Yes Sir. "Hang E'm High" great movie!!!
Blondeness "If everyone who thinks she got away with murder would SHUN her she would suffer."
My mother taught me that the very worst thing you can do to another human being is ignore them. And she was right.
Wow. People, read your own comments. Lose the hate. You personally were not harmed, your rights were not violated; but you will wish death on another person? Sick, sick people.
Casey's destination is no mystery, her final stop will be a prime spot on Satan's Rotisserie !!
I think she'll end up in prison eventually. She's already demonstrated her contempt for the law (stealing checks from her "friends," etc. She's obviously come to the conclusion that she's smarter (and a better liar) than everyone and can talk her way out of anything. Or she may be like Joran van der Sloot and give into a compulsion to do something stupidly heinous again out of some level of self-punishment for what she got away with.
That said, let it go, people. I suspect that a lot of the public who wanted her sent to death row might have been a little more circumspect if they were actually in the courtroom with a young woman's life in their hands and seeds of doubt about what actually happened. Was it an accident? Did she pre-mediate murder? Could her dad havebeen involved?
They remake The Sopranos, she plays Tony Soprano's daughter, kills all the mobsters kids she don't like and bury them in the swamp.
brokencitizen @ #1.35:
Who knows, that might satisfy this "Party Girl's" lifestyle......
.
So why are you judging HER; I thought you believed in leaving judgement to someone else?? If by "someone else" you mean god, you might want to reread that book he wrote.
Nothing that happens in Florida ever surprises me anymore. She will probably get a job working in a state sponsored day care facility.
Actually they do have notices once in a while that the FBI do watch these blog, If the President is threatened it is IMMEDIATELY turned over to the FBI as probably ANY threats on a persons life.
Hope you enjoy the FBI Jim
Her destination is indeed not a mystery, it is HELL!!!! And I'm not even religous. LOL!
Elie:
No vacation for them.
I never underestimate the monumental failure of the educational system. Thanks for the reinforcement.
Let her alone clods. All of you are dissembling in almost every statement. Stop the hate unless you have direct evidence of wrong doing.
Now, she is all alone, a pariah, alone with her countless lies and with dreams of a life that is anything but beautiful.
skor154:
Beautiful commentary---
Florida. Enough said
I volunteer to drive her home.
Floreeeee duhhhhuhuh.... drool :p
She can run...
...but she can't hide from Anonymous!
PJ-3732558 - who said she was innocent? she was found not guilty. I wish all of the people who keep making the statement...they can't believe she was found innocent, check the verdict again. There is a complete difference and why does this have to keep being reiterated?
She won't hide. She craves the spotlight!!
Let her take the bus home. I'm sure she will be fine.
Best comment ever Wreck!
....or a nice secure jail cell, which is where she belongs in the firat ploace.
Jeez Wreck, I wish I'd said that...first.
That point aside, we can only hope that the public sticks to its guns in regard to not paying a single penny to buy books or magazines or give heed to any type of media willing to give her airtime.
She could always move in with Octomom. Maybe some of her kids will disappear too.
PGelsman - Thanks for making me choke on my popcorn, buddy. *laughs*
oh my that was a good one lmfao i say just open the jail doors and kick her ass out and let her worry about her self.
let her drive her own car home...give her the key's to her must stank...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDkthDdiiBE
A bus schedule please.
Nice one, PGelmans!
formerstew; if people are willing to plunk down their money for trash Romance novels - there surely will be hundreds of thousands who will pay to see what they think will be the truth coming from anything she says.
May you be well.
May you be happy.
May you be calm.
May you be peaceful.
Bobbg; I take it you are referring to Wreck7's post?
You know what the 5th grade teachers said about writing; keep it simple so that more people will understand (reach more readers) what you wrote.
Looks like Wreck perfected that approach. 47 votes (best not to post what I'm thinking...lol)
Sonata; the teachings of Buddha is to find peace and balance in your own life - something we should all strive for. Don't let that which you can't control, consume you.
But there is another form of Buddhism that would have turned her into fajita meat...lol.
We are all imprisoned by our own chimerical thoughts and negative emotions.
May you someday find the guts to face the "daemons" in yourself.
None of this was meant to be construed as a recommendation for a babysitter and I don't write for "fifth graders" but...
I'm glad you have a sense of humor...
And...
I hope that you don't have to wake up some morning and read an article about a girl who was murdered because she looked like...
Because people like you...
Funny huh?
bobby; are you the Riddler?
I feel sorry for any women that LOOKS like her, they will pay hell and for no reason. God protect them.
People can and HAVE been very cruel
Its CAYLEE not Kaylee. Ignorant!
Moron.
Stormy,
Although I'm not the seeder, and I know this is an emotionally ladened issue but please watch CoH.
Show some love and not your blatant hate for the thinkers in this nation.
rescue dogs62, skor154: Thank you guys, it is good to see that there's still a few good, reasonable, practical and logical people out there.
HEAR HEAR Kinko! That was a great post!
Yeah, I didn't believe in the rapture either, was laughing at the people who did.
The rapture did happen but god didn`t find anyone worthy of being raptured, we were all left behind.
Hmmmm... why are my feet getting warm? heh heh
Sonata's Adela, you are suspended for a day for violating rule # 1 of the Code of Honor.
Hey, how about she moves in with Jose Baez, she can babysit his kids!
Better yet, they can get married!
I think he is already married...
i think a good place for her to live would be... hell!
Actually, some people on another news site's coverage of this have already started rumors that Casey and Baez have a thing going on. Old news.
Baez just wants desperately to get laid.
GOOD ONE
Maybe Rupert Murdock will hack into her cell phone for us and we can continue to hear all about her exploits on the Fox News channel.
People get over it!
Stormy-3157243
Its CAYLEE not Kaylee. Ignorant
Stormy-3157243
People get over it!
He didn't do it pro bono, he did it pro boner
Oh... don't make me laugh that hard, Just Me!! You know that she worked in his office, right? She took a lot of dictation! Ow... my ribs!!
lmao sorry to make your ribs hurt and that dictation is like the little kid that gave his definition of dictate? lol
It wasn't poor prosecution so much, Bill, as poor evidence. The prosecution had little to work with and the jury could not possibly convict on it.
Just like OJ, Huh?
Why didn't the jury say they were hung? That way she could be tried again. The jury failed by acquitting. How could they completely disregard the jail conversation with her mom, that fact that she didn't report it for 31 days and was partying all that time and if she was drowned there would have been water in her lungs. I can see why there wasn't enough evidence for a murder conviction even though we all know she did it but make the system work. The prosecutor should have gone for a lessor charge and he would have won.
It's not quite like OJ Dixie, there was far better evidence against OJ.
Leroy,
“That’s just a misnomer, a misconception.”
Forget everything you
saw on “Perry Mason” — most convictions are won on circumstantial evidence,
which the law says carries the same weight as direct eyewitness testimony.
THAT MEANS Peterson, 30, could be convicted of two counts of capital murder in the deaths of
his wife, Laci, and their unborn child, whose badly decomposed bodies were found last week
on the shores of San Francisco Bay. Even though there are no known eyewitnesses.
Or, for that matter, any publicly known direct physical evidence tying him to their deaths.
In fact, it has not yet even been established how Laci Peterson
and the boy who would have been named Conner died.
With such a circumstantial case, why do prosecutors sound so confident that they
have a “slam dunk,” because they have ENOUGH circumstantial to convict.
SCOTT PETERSON GOT THE DEATH PENALTY!
REACHING A SIMPLE CONCLUSION
Lawyers said the general public had a misconception about what constituted circumstantial evidence — enough of their high-profile colleagues have gone before the cameras to denounce the cases against their clients as “purely circumstantial” to give any legal doctrine a bad name.
The easiest way to define “circumstantial evidence” is by what it is not —
it is not evidence that comes directly from an eyewitness or a participant.
With direct evidence, jurors don’t have to draw any “if-then” inferences.
Everything else is circumstantial evidence, which is simply anything that
allows a jury to reach a conclusion by reasoning, as long as it is relevant.
Most witness testimony is circumstantial, since most witnesses relate not that they saw the defendant actually commit the crime, but instead that they saw or knew something else that might lead a reasonable juror to conclude that the defendant committed the crime. That covers expert witnesses, too.
So, while nobody keeps statistics on how many cases are tried based solely or largely
on circumstantial evidence, legal experts reckon that it’s the large majority.
“How many of us have seen in movies or TV, ‘Oh, it’s just a circumstantial evidence case’?”
said Norman M. Garland, a professor at Southwestern College of Law in Los Angeles and
author of several books on the rules of evidence.
Thank you. Thats what i have been thinkin all along.
must you people turn every casey anthony story into a debate over whether she is innocent or guilty, get over it already and try to focus your little attention deficit disordered obsessive compulsive minds on the topic of the current news story that you are posting comments in.
Good point Grandma, it is alarming....but I almost wish they did bump into each other....it would get two murderous psychos off the street! :-)
Jim32068- you are a slimeball, and a dumb one at that.....people were told to be careful what they posted on here.....good luck in prison.
Jim you must really like inviting the man into your life to be posting such @!$%#.
Um, weren't her remains badly decomposed? If so, I doubt they would have found water.
KaschK
"Not the car, the trash bags, the duct tape, the dump site, the stickers, the computer, none of it. "
not true, it was caseys car, the laundrey bag, the stickers the duct tape and the computer search, all together point to casey,...the grandfather wouldnt have had the stickers and he didnt do the computer search, and he wasnt the one who lied and mislead the police about the whereabouts of the child,...as far as him taking the car,..im sorry but i dont think most people would have called the police right on the spot,..its quite reasonable for someone to take the car back, considering tesimoney said that they found garbage in the truck and intitially dissmissed the oder as that, it wasnt untill he was in the car for a length of time did he begin to think something was wrong,...in addition it defies reasonable logic to think the grandfather drove the car all the way out to where it was abandoned (near where casey was staying with her boyfriend) find some way back,..only to go back to the car later and drive it back,..it is however reasonable to conclude casey just dumped the car, after she was sick of the smell,.... grandmother didnt drive the car that day...she was at work....the grandmother was also at work at the time the chloroform search was made on the computer, according to the evidence at trial, the actual number of searches is irrelevant,....the oder in the car is established by the cadaver dog,...anything else about who smelled what is irrelevant,...the human olfactory sense in limited at best,..some people smell better than others...some people are sensitive to certian oders than others....a dogs sense of smell however is many time more sensitive than a human therefore not likely to be wrong.
it also matters that casey lied about the whereabouts of her daughter,..this implies she knew the daughter was dead,....innocent people do not lie to the extent she did in this kind of circumstance,...statistically speaking guilty people lie about thier crimes,...innocent people tell the truth...this goes a long way toward proving her guilt,...in order for her to be innocent you would have to demonstrate that her behavior is normal for innocent people in similar circumstances....verses the behavior of guilty people in similar circumstances,....what is more "reasonable" to believe?
while the defense is not obligated to prove anything at trial....however, if they want to provide reasonable doubt they do have to prove that thier explinations are in fact reasonable and not just fantasy....is the accidental drowning theory reasonable?....not based on the other evidence,...why not call 911 when the child was found? unreasonable for an innocent person,... why then dump the body in the swamp in trash bags? very unreasonable for an innocent person,...why the duct tape? why then mislead the police your family your friends about the where abouts of the dead child? why wait till two years sitting in jail charged with 1rst degree murder to decide that it might be a good idea to report the accident to the authorities? why then at trial to you bring up child molestation without ant proof, against you own father, who by your own assertion helped you get rid of the body?....is any of that "reasonable" behavior for an innocent mother?....you would have to be retarded to think that it is....if you can provide examples where this behavior is common among people in similar circumstances then it might be reasonable,....good luck with that.
Just one thing, it wasn't the prosecutors who failed (if they in fact did), it was the total lack of perpetrator-specific evidence that brought the failure to convict.
jonjojon,...you aparently do not understand reasonable doubt....but alas you are not unique....hence why this killer walked.
What happened to Jesus was all according to God's master plan, nothing more nothing less.
Murderess! Cow!
aliveinsd...
Bill, did you listen to yourself? Talk about a hypocrite.
Jonjojon: It's all in fun. The carnival atmosphere of the trial was just too irrisistable.
Just another armchair quarterback.
You weren't on the jury. You have all the answers. Go figure....
I wasn`t at the superbowl either but I watched it on T.V. and I bet I can tell you who won.
Just invite his friend, Ben Gay, over, you'll be fine.
kinkomaster, your opinion is yours.
She made her bed, she can lie in it as far as I'm concerned.
eww. she stroked his face? Gah.
DIANE - Very well said!
Actually, who cares if she's around kids? If you believe the prosecution, she killed her daughter to live the party life. She doesn't just kill kids because its fun. So sure, let her hang out with your kids.
Asking her to babysit however...
Wow, Bill, you need help. I hope that this board is moderated and all those that want to kill Casey are investigated and charged. What sickos!
behonest - you are right that no one has the right to kill her and it would be insane to even say one would.
Howard! For crying out loud control yourself!
A safe house? How about alone in the Antarctic. They can drop supplies monthly by helicopter.
Then -theres that raft she can float on-in shark infested waters.
Yup... sounds like you are as serious as I am.
no credible threats?
While I think she did it, the justice system says she is innocet. End of story. Leave her alone and let her live her life. The last thing we need is for some self-righteous gun-clinger out there to impose their "jusitce" on her.
They didn't say she's innocent, they merely determined she was not guilty based on the evidence provided and reasonable doubt.
There are plenty of those out there, and maybe that is what she will get after all.
"They didn't say she's innocent, they merely determined she was not guilty based on the evidence provided and reasonable doubt."
Not guilty is innocent of the crime in question in our criminal legal system. So, yeah. They did in fact find her innocent.
Under US law, you are innocent until proven guilty (which is why the burden of proof is on the accuser, not the accused), and being acquitted of the charges means that she is an innocent woman with the full rights and privileges of a US citizen.
People's sense and definition of moral innocence is not the same as the legal concept of innocent.
exactly , end of story, so why do you and people like you keep bringing it up?
If they get caught you mean.
@Lucy1
Amused... well said! I can't add anything to that, and that says a lot coming from me! ;)
Maybe she should stay in jail.
Go Casey, go Casey, hey, when's the next wet tee shirt contest?
It will be at Lindsay Lohans "safe house", both will be out of jail and like a wild party.........
LOL...best comment ever!
I respect the verdict.
But "not guilty" in a court of law is not the same thing as innocent in the court of public opinion - You can run, but you can't hide.
No. You do not.
Go on with your life. Don't like that? Too. Bad.
@ Bolo-2435846
Before the spelling police start in, yes I realize I used the word their instead of there on my last paragraph. thank you.
:::putting ticket book away:::
lol.
lol
Geez, Tam... you are always so quick on the draw with that thing. Hey, I got my "No Smart A$$ Ticket" card, so keep that in your holster!
Kinko, I don't ticket for Smart A$$ery (I know that's not a word). I actually encourage it.
Wellll... in that case...
Its better than dumb A$$ery.
This is very true!
Who's paying for all this?
Now that she is out of jail she is on her own dime. No taxpayer money will pay to keep her safe unless "there is a credible threat" as stated by the authorities.
Hope someone does to her what she did to Caylee.
Then the safe house will need a pool.
And then we all get to foot the bill for another bloody murder trial. Be still my beating heart.
thats an ignorant statement, instead of worrying about her eternal punishment why not remember Caylee and go on
I agree with AJS - Casey Anthony is not worth another moment of my time. My thoughts and prayers are still with Caylee.
Wow dumbass....good name.
Pamela, I believe you are referring to our buddy Jim whose comments are collapsed as soon as he stops typing them...so if you don't want to be shocked, don't open 'em and read 'em. They're collapsed for a reason.
Your last sentence made absolutely no sense whatsoever.
I agree. Just as the witch hunts were nothing more than a religious excuse to satisfy a blood lust I believe the same is true of Caylee Anthony. These people don't really care Caylee. They are using Casey as an excuse to satisfy their murderous urges.
dumbass,
Aptly named.
Respectfully, your daughter is a defense attorney; of course she's going to be of the opinion the stae did not prove their case.
Just so very sad and disgusted with the whole situation... Only pray that God will give her His Justice...
How can emotion be taken out of a child's murder????
No emotion...just facts? What if that was your granddaughter instead of Caylee? Now do you have emotion? The prosecution was weak.
CJ,
Cindy was at WORK, logging in information on her work computer when the computer search on chloroform was being made.
No matter where she goes, she will crave attention and lively conversation. I'm thinking a good mental institution might be the safest place for her.
...a private sanitarium
She is such so self centered and the world revolves around her, she will have to be the center of attention no matter where she lives.
I hope Casey spends the rest of her life in fear of reprisal. She's evil and deserves nothing less.
Got proof of that? The prosecution didn't.
Life goes on.
Hmmmmmm AJ, Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, that's the deepest you are able to reason....
Such with holding could see those doing the with holding thrown in jail for a very long time as well as being looked upon as the murderer.
ozzymusprime- based on your post, you must be a real winner yourself.
I don't think reprisal is something that really bothers her, the thing she is most fearful of is not being in the limelight.
Sounds to me like the banker could be Casey herself and is pissed that people still know that she killed her daughter.
ozzymusprime banned. Brand new user with not much to add but personal attacks.
No, thanks.
I don't understand why Mr. Mason and Mr. Baez can't trade off letting her stay with them as their nanny?
Change the tattoo to "Vida Misera"..... no party girl life...nowhere...no way.
Casey Anthony= Ultimate selfishness, Thoughts and prayers to her poor parents : ( I can't imagine the heartbreak.
