it's ridiculous. she thinks that she can just say all this crazy @!$%# and people will believe her. first it was Her father killed Caylee then it was she drowned in the pool. And that was just 3 days apart. Next it will be the easter bunny did her in. Trying to say she drown when she had duct tape on her face is just pathetic. Well at least she got one thing right.... Early on Casey....was probably using cloroform to subue Caylee. Each day or night that she had her (when she told others Caylee was with the nanny).....Caylee was probably in the trunk of the car...unconscious. Probably.....after the death, she filled Caylee with insecticide...not to slow decomp, but to lessen the number of insects that would get her....and the tape was there to keep it in her little body.

Probably got the mixture of homemade cloroform all wrong and it and the heat from the trunk killed Caylee.

I am 100% sure that Casey is a sociopath and that she killed her child. Whether she accidentally overdosed her with chloroform or something else, should make no difference. She dumped her baby's body like a bag of garbage and told lie after lie. She has tried to invebt a babysitter, smear her brother and father, and is playing the victim of incest.

This woman has no conscience and should never be allowed to walk free again.

She lied to stall police and let the body decompose... and continued to lie so she can plea "trauma, I'm crazy"... her purpose was to: 1) Get rid of my daughter so I can party and 2) cover it well so in case I stand trial, the prosecution will not have a motive, cause of death, or a murder weapon.

I belive this HORRIBLE EXCUSE for a mother, killed her child out of jealousy, and (in)convienence! I believe she couldnt stand not being the center of attention in her parents world. Look at all of the pictures...those pictures show a happy, beautiful baby! This woman has no soul, and will pay for her actions.

At some point you would have to believe the Jury itself has found what she has said to be unbelievable. I am certain that the lawyer provided to her will put on a good defense, I feel he has thus far. I'm not saying I believe the defenses version under any circumstances, I am saying however that it is in the best interest of the people, and most of all Caylee, that she get the best defense possible.

This needs to happen so this trail does not end up being thrown out for a new one. There will automatically be an appeal (that is mandatory in a Capital Murder case) so we do not want this to go on and on. Because when they do finally convict her, and the appeals are exhausted and the day comes that this woman (I refuse to honor her with her name) must answer for Caylee, let us all remember to hug our children a little more, to smile and laugh with them a little longer. People, Like it or NOT, the Prosecution failed to produce any evidence that pointed to Casey Anthony as the Killer. In this truly highly dysfunctional family, the controlling Grandfather/Father is more of a suspect than anyone else. The trial is over and a decision has been made and people just have to accept those facts as they exist. The truth will eventually emerge, there is no such thing as a "Perfect Crime", unless you're a Politician.

One of the most sane and intelligent things I've seen on this thread. I'm amazed by all the people that believe they have special insight into the act that somehow the judge and jury didn't have.

Due process, trial by jury - they could not (or at least did not) prove this lady guilty. If you want to blame someone, then blame the DA's office who failed twice, first to try her on charges they could prove and second to put together a good case.

No doubt I'll be called names, asked how I could defend a murderer, or have my comments "collapsed" because some people just can't accept the truth and by people who get their news from Nancy Grace.

Joe, how can you say, the prosecution produced no evidence? Did you watch the entire trial? We know we have a dead child, who was thrown into the woods like trash. So, who killed little Caylee?

We know, from mere statistics, most murders occur by someone the victim knows, right, and the vast majority of these are by family, right? Who had motive, opportunity and the means, and who would gain from Caylee's death?

Why didn't Casey report her daughter missing for five weeks while she partied, night clubbed, cashed stolen checks and got tattoos. Countless witnesses, including Casey's parents, smelled decomposition in her car, so much so, they sprayed it with room deodorants. Countless witnesses testified to this. Countless, and cadaver dogs proved even more evidence. Why was Casey's car dumped and abandoned, and what would be the reasoning here, because the car was not out of gas.

Casey's own mother said, the car smelled like a dead body. We know Caylee's body was wrapped in articles taken from the Anthony home and Caylee's bedroom, so this rules out anyone but the family. And the duct tape was a rare brand, found on Caylee's body and in the family home, and Caylee's mandible was intact, which normally falls off during decomposition, and experts testified the duct tape held the mandible in place. Why didn't the mandible fall off normally during decomposition?

And, normal moms just google neck breaking, spleen splitting, etc., and a man was just convicted with similar googling for killing his wife. If a medical professional had googled these items, they would have googled broken neck and diseased spleen! And, Casey was not a mother prostrate with grief. And, why did she lie about Nanny Zanny and concoct lie after lie? What would be the reasons for her to concoct the nanny scenario, and this lie and that lie? Duhhh, could it be, she was attempting to cover up something? Why does a person lie? Because, duh, they have something to hide!

And, many murderers have been convicted with far less evidence than in this case. Some have even convicted in first degree without even a body or articles from the family home and Caylee's bedroom and the rare brand of duct tape. On and on, and on!

1. Evidence is as truthful as people are willing to make it. The prosecution had evidence, but the jury just couldn't take the evidence as truth or maybe believed that 1+1 has to equal 2 in order for them to convict. That is their right a jurors. So, yes it is possible the evidence DID show that Casey killed Caylee, but it does not mean the jury had to believe it did.
2. Lawyers are essentially storytellers. The take certain facts and evidences and look for ways to make it work to their advantage. So, what can happen is that perceived evidence and facts is not just taken as is, but a story is placed behind it or its facts/truths distorted, confused, or completed obliterated, though it all actuality the evidence is the only thing that is telling the truth.
3. How might God-like of you to tell people what to do and how to feel. How would you like to be told you need to stop being with the fools who support evil being done to children or who like to see pretty murderesses escape justice? How about this...Get over yourself and YOU accept the fact that we ALL have an open mind and free will to exercises it as we see fit. Some of us are smart enough to already know that maybe LEGALLY she isn't guilty, but that in TRUTH she could be guilty as sin. Like people have said in the past, sometimes justice is not fair, but it is the best thing we have.
4. I think most of know she did not get away with the perfect crime, she got caught, but was not able to escape man's justice. Her now living in hiding, wearing disguises, and her name forever now infamous, she now has to live with the public prison she has to live with. She escaped man's justice, but sometimes paying for one's crime in the justice system is better than dealing with the punishment an unclean heart will always bring.

I totally agree. She is a manipulative and narcissistic person. And it's really showing. If she really just made up an imaginary person, then why wouldn't she cooperate and give the deposition? Because deep down she knows she's guilty as hell. She murdered her daughter and used people to hide what she did. I don't believe for one second that Caylee drowned in the family pool. At this point, you would think, just for sanity's sake, that Casey could just tell the truth, for once in her life. Unfortunately, she doesn't care about the truth, just as she doesn't care about her dead daughter. I am not saying there wasn't a time in the past that she did, which by accounts, was, but then the novelty wore off, just as the "terrible 2s" and beyond became a stark reminder that a baby is not just a toy purchased at the local Wal-Mart.

Let's face facts - not everyone was cut out to be a parent. Not everyone on this earth is responsible. But after a death, she should be reflecting on how this changes her own life, and the lives of others.

Casey Anthony, as many others in today's society, only think about themselves. I don't know how much I could blame the parents, since they took the child in, and were raising Caylee in spite of Casey. They are surely between a rock and a hard place - on one hand, a daughter, who in adult life all but abandoned her only child. On the other, a grand daughter, who they basically had to raise, since Casey wouldn't. I don't believe from what I have read so far that the grandparents were to blame, except for not forcing Casey to have an abortion, which would have made all of this a non-issue. But they didn't believe in abortions, so can't really get them on that either.

All evidence and actions point right back to Casey. I just can't understand how she lives with herself. But then, she is evil, so she doesn't see anything wrong. But she would like you to believe she is innocent.

I have to agree with the "pure evil" allegation here (as opposed to insanity). I hope she gets the full penalty of the law for this and does not get off scott free on some kind of an insanity charge here. I think she deserves execution, and if not, at least life in prison for this, although she truly deserves far more severe punishment.

Unfortunately there is no known father. Casey claims that the father died in a motorcycle accident. But he's never been named and there's never been proof that the man who did die in the motorcycle accident was Caylee's father.

So at this point with so many lies, there's no telling who the father was.

Yes, the grandparents could have and would have raised Caylee, but I don't think Casey wanted that, then she would have had to live with the guilt coming from her parents about her being an unfit parent and everything. So in the end the brain, thought processes, emotions work strangely and this is what can unfortunately happen in cases where things get warped.

I personally think Casey is guilty but help me understand how a jury can find her guilty without fingerprints or proof that she was the one that dumped her daughter etc. Yes they have very good information but how can they say it was Casey? Are her lies enough to convict her?

Caylee's father was never known? I find that odd....perhaps the father has been right in front of us the entire time? There's something really strange going on between Casey and her father. I could be wrong but even the taped conversations between the two were ....weird.

The good samaritan law requires that you aid a human being that is in medical trouble or you can be held liable and punished.

Looked up some information... The Good Samaritan law does not apply. But, "Duty to Rescue" laws do apply to a parent on behalf of a child.

Untrue. George Anthony DID say he smelled decomposing flesh several times he was on the stand and I never heard him say he did not smell it. I have been watching nearly every moment of this trial since day one. Cindy and George Anthony smelled it and the guy from Johnson's Towing who has at least 30 years experience in the business smelled it. He has had the misfortune of having towed at least 7 vehicles with bodies decomposing in them. It was apparently more noticeable when the the trunk and car doors were opened.

George Anthony also said he had to open all the car doors to air out the car. Cindy smelled the car and exclaimed. "What died?" because the smell was so bad.

I dnt recall him saying that either. I am sure at the time they got the vehicle they never would have thought that their grandbaby was the one who lied dying or dead in that trunk....im sure it was awful but who on earth would even want to fathom that thought??!

Actually, they were food wrappers and no garbage, and most people who have smelled decomposiiton maintain, it doesn't smell like rotting garbage. They say, you never forget this odor once you have had the misfortune of smelling where a dead body had lain.

I totally agree with you. She is an immature brat. Who obviously has never been held accountable for anything wrong she's done in her whole life. Her mom told her she wasn't taking care of her anymore and that's when she decided what she had to do.

Early on in one of the videos, where Casey's talking to her parents in jail. Her mom tells her they had raised $25,000 cash to help find Caylee. Casey replied "That's more than my bail" Her parents both ignored that remark. That is totally self centered and her parents should have said something to her for that remark.

She planned on killing Caylee and was too busy partying to come up with a good reason. She used chloraform to keep her baby from crying and making a sound while she was in the trunk. The sick bitch kept her there until she couldn't stand the odor. She deserves the same treatment!!

The stickers found in the home were nothing like the sticker they supposedly found on the duct tape. Also, the location of the woods where the body was found is right across the street from an elementary school. Those stickers could have come from anywhere especially with all the wind blowing from hurricane Faye. Plus, there was no picture taken of this phantom sticker by the forensic specialists to submit into evidence. Why? You just had one rookie FBI forensic specialist testify that she saw an outline of a sticker on the duct tape. It means nothing! Please, try and use your critical thinking skills...

The defense is trying to put the blame on everyone else but where it belongs, on Casey. Only a defense attorney with a weak case would try to plant reasonable doubt in the minds of the jury in this way when he has no other case for defense of his client. She has lied over and over again to everyone and even bragged " OMG, I am such a good liar." to an acquaintance, Melissa England, that she was shopping with at the mall.

What kind of person goes shopping at several different stores draining someone else's bank account without permission (Amy's account)? Casey. Parties and dances at nightclubs when their daughter is missing or dead? Casey. Who never notifies the authorities for over a month that her daughter is missing? Casey. (Cindy Anthony called the police and the sheriff first.) Who lies to the police and everyone about a nanny? Casey. AND (How could Casey pay a nanny $400 a week, as she claimed to a friend, without having a J-O-B?) You can't possibly be blaming her parents. It appears that supported her when she got pregnant and was helping her raise her daughter. Her story about Caylee drowning is so far off...if the mother called the police when she learned the child was missing, why wouldn't she have called them if the child had drowned. There is absolutely no evidence that George Anthony even molested his daughter. This a a ploy by the defense to instill reasonable doubt in the jury. If a person has been molested, they don't leave their child alone with the molester. Casey left Caylee alone numerous times with George Anthony. If Casey was afraid of George harming her daughter she would not have lived with them nor left her daughter alone with anyone in the family.

Casey has no defense so Baez, her attorney is grasping at straws. He is throwing anything and everthing out there to see if something will stick. That is his job. He is supposed to defend her vigourously. He is trying to save her from the death penalty.

It is important to look at the facts and try to keep emotional opinions out of it. Granted, this is an emotional case of a heinous crime and I lay awake nights grieving for Caylee and other children who have suffered at the hands of evil people, but it is important to try and remain dispassionate in order that justice is fully served.

Duck tape could have been used to make it look like someone else is responsible for Caylee's death. OR, duck tape was used pre-mortem in order to keep the child quiet and she suffocated. In any case, I believe the least Casey is guilty of is negligence for Caylee's accidental death from suffocation or some other means.

Fingerprints may still be found on the duck tape. This evidence has not been presented yet. Most homes have duck tape.

If Casey was a person that did not run from consequences when its time to face the music this would be a totally different trial.

I have to say I believe you are correct. I did not see Casey get emotional until after the jury selection and the trial started. All the times Caylee's name was mentioned in the voir dire, she showed no emotion. She mostly has shown emotion only when references have to do with herself. I must say though, that Baez is doing his job. He could be disbarred if he does not defend Casey vigourously. Also, she could ask for a retrial sayng she had a bad lawyer if he does not passionately defend her with every means possible.

Baez is actually making it so that she cannot say she had a bad lawyer and get off for this technicality. I am pretty sure he realizes he has his work cut out for him. He can see the lies of hers that he has to somehow overcome. I am surprised he has not thrown in the towel already to try and make a plea deal. Maybe he has and we just did not hear of it. He has requested a mistrial at least twice that I am aware of. If it were me, I would like to move on to something else other than defending someone accused of killing their child. He certainly is not popular right now and probably has children of his own.

The Prosecution, on the other hand, have covered all their bases it appears to insure a conviction from the highest of charges to the lowest possible. There have been many acquittals of criminals because the prosecution charged them with the wrong crime or did not charge them fully enough. This state's attorney has a solid case in my opinion and would not have brought the case with these kinds of charges if they had a weak case. Much more will be revealed as time goes on and I believe it will end in a plea deal to save Casey from the death penalty.

Based on her actions from the time she committed murder (I think it's obvious that she did) to now, she will get the death penalty and there will be NO deal. Casey had already moved in with Tony for sometime. Casey kept telling her mother, Cindy, lies about where Caylee was when Cindy inquired about her or wanted to see her. ( Did you hear the testimony?) She believed her daughter until she started to question her face to face after having dragged her out of Tony's apartment.

Once Cindy confronted her and Casey had no answers for where Caylee was, Cindy called the sheriff and the police to come and arrest her. Casey had finally told her mom and the police that Caylee had been missing for a month after she had dropped Caylee off at the nanny's apt. It was Cindy who became suspicious and turned her daughter in. Look at my former post for numerous lies proven to have been told by Casey. They said that they believe that Caylee die around June 16Th wasn't she with grandma visiting the great-grandparents on June 15Th with Cindy? No one had any contact with little Caylee since June 15th ? I find that weird. And Didn't ear anything about Casey moving out with Toni, she was still living at Home June 15Th by Mother testimony and Casey came home and they watched video of that day and got emotional?

she did panic...as soon as she found out she was missing...casey took caylee with her one day...and the parents didn't see either one of them for a month...in fact casey had just had to admit to her mom she was lying about caylee being asleep at a babysitter's and not wanting to wake her up...so grandma had to wait till "tomorrow" to see her...it was her brother lee who told casey that her mom would call the cops and MAKE casey take her to caylee when casey dropped that lie, and told her the new lie about caylee being kidnapped by zanny a month earlier...as soon as casey told her mother that lie....her mother IMMEDIATELY called 911....casey kept stalling and lying for a month to keep her family in the dark about caylee's welfare...casey's parents had NOTHING to do with caylee's fate...it was ALL casey anthony's doing....

Cindy was the true mother.....Casey was the public mother.....Lee said it in his testimony....Cindy always told Casey she was unfit. Cindy knew this.....made threats now and then when things would happen...that she would have Caylee taken from Casey...witness "friend" after witness "friend" said Casey was a good mom...that Caylee never went without food or clothing or toys.....BUT, these things were provide by Cindy and George.

I guess the good mom witnesses see nothing wrong with taking your child to a strange man's house to sleep over, after only dating him a few days/weeks. And dragging her with you behind boyfriend after boyfriend. Amazing what some people see as perfectly acceptable these days.

You make a good argument, however, you can't force someone to take a plea deal. An attorney can only advise her. He has already laid the foundation for appeal on several levels.

Also, he would be disbarred if he does not defend her vigourously. She may also try to say she had a bad attorney and ask for a new trial if he is not passionate in her defense. In this way he has actually helped the prosecution. And, I wouldn't worry. I believe the Prosecution has a solid and compelling case that will and already has shown some guilt of the defendant. The defense has a weak case if they have to point the finger at other innocent people. It shows the case has no merit on its own. I don't think the defense will even get a chance to present. I see a plea deal coming.

@blopez: No, Baez did not say George killed Caylee. What trial are you watching? He claims George found Caylee drowned in the pool and yelled at Casey, "Look what you've done! Your mother will never forgive you!"

Further, George Anthony denied on the stand that Caylee drowned. He also denied ever molesting his daughter. I've been paying close attention to George's affect, both on the stand and in the videotaped jailhouse visits and I believe him.

My Mom will never forgive me are Casey's words, not Georges. I remember it in the testimony of a conversation with Casey.

In Baez' opening statement, those were his words in attributing the 'drowning' death and cover-up by George.

Casey said "I know my mother will never forgive me" when being questioned by the police.

How do you wait for over a month to report your daughter missing? If my child was missing one hour I'd be out there looking, calling cops, putting it in newspapers, getting help from the media, law enforcement and everyone else I could think of to find my missing child. I would not be partying, getting tattoos and waiting to "find" my child. How does she sit there stoned faced day after day with those crockadile tears and bull@!$%# "oh, feel sorry for me" faces. I'd stick the needle in her arm myself if they let me. If they don't find her guilty, there is no justice for children in this country.
