This is the result of excellent work by countless men and women in many countries, up to and including the President ofthe United States of America, who made it a priority and made sure the resources were available.
Thank you one and all! The world is a better place without bin Laden.
yes, thank you to all those who didn't give up the search...America can now begin to heal
I have some questions I hope get answered...coverage seems to imply that this Mansion was built for him 5 years ago....and detainee info from 4 years ago led to US confirming his location over the course of the last 8 months...
Did the Pakistani Government know and when did they know???
Why the shake up, at the Administration Intelligence community during the week of activation of assault plan???
Obama, like Bush, had nothing to do with the success of the military and intelligence operations. All the credit belongs to those people in spite of what politicians of any stripe you want to worship. As far as Obama's reelection chances go, he will go up or down with the state of the economy.
In the meantime, lets thank the people who are really responsible for this success. Our military & intelligence people. The same people the press and many others have had no problem smearing over the past few years.
OK, WHEN was he killed? Reports started with a week ago and we were waiting for DNA results and then Obama said he gave the order for the operation today. The pictures out of Pakistan of the compound look like there is smoke coming from it. Nice to know a little more. But either way, nice that he has assumed room temperature.
Good work by our men and women in the armed forces to killing the coward.
that said to give credit, where the credit is due.
As far as this securing Nobama the Clown a re-election for 2012, i wouldnt count on rejoicing just yet kool aid fans. this still doesnt fix the economy, doesnt end any of the 3 wars we are in now, and doesnt put millions of jobs in the market for the millions of hard working people of this country who WANT to work.
I think not telling Pakistan in advance was a good idea.
I'm glad we that POS is dead, goes without saying, but seeing this end like this, I'm more suspicious about the Pakistani government than ever.
I'm suspicious as hell about how about how Bin-Laden's compound went un-noticed for so long. It was only 30 miles north of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan and if there was a big fire-fight, somebody in the Pakistani government had to notice an armed presense in a gigantic mansion before now.
and Just like that, obama is getting the bull@!$%# paise he doesn't deserve. It gave a time line of everything that happened, and all he had to do was sit in on a few meetings about this, in which the millitary was in charge of running with their tatics, and now hes a hero...@!$%# that @!$%#, hes a horrible pressident who just was in office when this happened, Congrats to our military who I will stand behind till the day I die, USA USA USA!!!
Thank you Mr President? This operation was a surgical raid by a small team. You mean thank you military thank you surgical team thank you covert ops. Are any of them going to be on TV?
Great work Intel and SEALS! Thanks for giving the "GO" Mr. Obama.
I'm a little disgusted at the celebrations I see over Bin Ladens death. Kind of reminds me of the celebrations we all saw in the Middle East on 9/11. He's dead, we "won", now let's act like the civilized people are are supposed to be and not celebrate in the streets like a Palestinian street mob.
Tho this is a wonderful event and definately a cause to celebrate................
I have to play Devil's advocate............... its been about 4 hours after the POTUS announced the death of OBL..... yet i saw no pictures of a dead OBL..... and now they say they buried the body at sea?
Sorry, a dead Osama body for public viewing was what this Country deserved to see. Pics won't cut it in this day and age.
The operation was a surgical raid by a small team designed to minimize collateral damage.
We should have brought small teams in from the beginning, instead of bringing thousands of troops over to the Middle East. No particular country attacked the U.S. Certainly not Iraq. Or even Afghanistan for that matter. Extremist individuals attacked the U.S., and they should have been secretly targeted just as this mission portrays. A lot less money and lives could have been saved, with the end-result being better, since we wouldn't have killed hundreds of thousands of innocents in the process.
That said, it's good we got him, but the flag waving and celebrating? Not everyone in the US is doing that, not even close to a majority, but just like when we saw small groups of Palestinians celebrating after 9/11, it will look to the rest of the world like every American is dancing in the streets. Not all Palestinians were celebrating either, not even close to "all."
In any event, the silly story will continue, and the masses will proudly yell, USA, USA... until the next time some tragedy strikes. And as history shows, revenge and tragedy is something one can always count on. People just can't seem to get enough of it.
Tracked down by means of an extraordinarily elaborate and painstaking intelligence-gathering operation, eliminated with extreme prejudice in a swiftly executed surgical strike, disposed of at sea in accordance with Islamic law and in observance of Islamic tradition. Perfect. There's a sublime beauty to it.

Yes, thank you Presidents Bush and Obama. Bush for Gauntanamo and using the enhanched interrogations to get the infromation from the captured terrorists and Obama for allowing the military to act on that information.
Bush and Obama should both be the next Nobel Prize winners.
Then we can turn them both over to the Hague as baby killlers and war criminals
muglitt, seriously??? Clinton wasn't able to catch, find or kill him neither could Bush. If anything I would be suspicious about their actions. But then again I'm not going to play conspiracy theorist on this news (nor with Clinton's or Bush's actions) unless I see conflicting news from Pakistani news sources as well. Obama had everything to do with this - he ordered this call as the Commander in Chief of the armed forced of USA.
And its probably just me but I wouldn't think it easy to disguise blasts and firefights on a large residential compound for an entire week in the middle of an affluent city in a hostile country.
Whome Doyou, seriously???? do you think just because Obama is in office that is why this happen? was Obama on the ground with the troops no. and it was a standing order to get him way before Obama took office. so try again
Come on people, President Obama campaigned against the war, remember? All his "fans" always excuse everything that has gone wrong in the U.S. during his term, saying it all started before he got in office but then when something finally goes right, give him all the credit and the glory (when again, IN TRUTH, this operation started before he got elected).
The military personnel who risked their lives to accomplish this mission deserve the credit for this accomplishment!
Obama had very little to do with it other than give the green light. The article said the intelligence that lead to Bin Laden's death began in 05, before Obama was even a Senator. Bush was the pres then and his orders to remove Bin Laden by any means has been completed. Thank You President Bush.
not sure why my post #1.9 was collapsed? My guess it was about as true as it gets with the truth slapping the Clown party in the face with a ice cold towel?
Al Gore used his Napster/Internet skills and wet his finger and held it up to the global warming wind, leading to where Bin Laden was. He then sent in Hillary, who seduced Bin Laden with her feminine charms. After he fell asleep, she shaved his beard and hair and cried," The Americans are upon you" as the Navy Seals burst in. I swear this is true.
I guess I will skip Oprah today...dont feel like watching Obama GUSHING over this
I am a bit confused about the timing as some others are. . . .also I am pretty furious that our Government gives a flying rats a$$ whether he was buried within 24 hours as per Islamic custom!!!!
I know, I'm being a pessimist here, but now that UBL has reached the status of Martyr, I feel that he has gained even more power in his death.
I wonder why we didn't try to take him alive, by either stunning him with a flash bang, or by bypassing the head shot and going for a disabling body target. Because if Obama gave a shoot to kill order, then I think he just pissed on a hornets nest.
I am also confused about why UBL was buried at sea within 24 hours as per Islamic custom. If it sounds fishy to me, then how can an Islamic extremist UBL follower trust the US?
They should really do away with comment collapsing. Just because someone disagrees with the original poster's simple "thank you" to the President, doesn't mean they have a right to basically say, "Shut up," and collapse the entire thread. There's just too much abuse going on with collapsing.
Couple things. First, credit goes to our military, but many Obama supporters were critical of him for keeping Gitmo open, and it seems we have gleaned a lot of intel from those detainees. Second, I don't know how easy it would have been to take OBL alive. He was, according to what I've been reading, actively defending himself during the firefight. Don't forget, these SEALS were under some time constraints. The Pak. gov't didn't know they were there. My sense was, it was get in, take him out and get out.
Obama, like Bush, had nothing to do with the success of the military and intelligence operations.
Read the story. What part of this do you fail to understand about Obama's role in this operation?
That conclusion was reached in mid-February, officials said. Beginning in mid-March, the president led five National Security Council meetings on the plans for an operation.
I knew when I signed on that the Obama haters and conspiracies nuts would be here in full force but some of the hate for our president is so disgusting as to force me to ask the one on charge of this page to remove them from commenting for a long time.
Remember the president get all of the blame for bad things and should get credit for the good
I still remember 9-12, the day after. The smart money was on him being dead by morning. Instead we invaded Iraq....two years later. Then, having lost the support of most of the world, we managed to micro-manage the attempt to find bin Laden. If McCain had been President on 9-11 we would have been celebrating this moment 9 years ago. What happened yesterday is a great accomplishment and all the accolades to presidents and officials is over-shadowed by the commitments of our uniformed combatants. They have suffered dearly through the years; twice the duration of WWII. The only question I would have is why we didn't keep it to ourselves. Whack the scumbag and leave it to rumors. Retaliation is being planned as this is read. If nobody knew there would be confusion and distrust among al Quida loyalists. And with burial at sea we now have abundant food for conspiracy theorists.
The idiots on here who suggest Obama did this to enhance his re-election chances are totally braindead. If Obama had been trying to rig elections he would have done it before the midterms since he had the initial intelligence months before or waited until a brief period before the 2012 election and basked in the glory of the kill in the final moments before the election
It's a win win. we will see the proof of his death (DNA, Video, Pics.) We gave no body for other radicals to enshrine, kept clear of arguments about what country would accept the body and took another step in getting rid of his memory. Also, by taking care of this within 24 hours, we show ourselves as more honorable than the radical islamists.
muglitt, seriously??? Clinton wasn't able to catch, find or kill him neither could Bush.
I don't remember seeing anything about Obama being there for that raid either. The soldiers are responsible for this and they are the ones that deserve ALL the credit.
I don't remember seeing anything about Obama being there for that raid either. The soldiers are responsible for this and they are the ones that deserve ALL the credit.
.
So when presidents are in on plans that fail, (i.e., Carter and the Iran hostage crisis), they get all the blame, but when presidents are in on plans that succeed, they get no credit at all? Hmm, if this would have failed, I guess you'd be giving Obama a lot more "credit" than the soldiers, then.
I gotta put my 2 cents in here. Okay, we got him but what's up with the buried at sea within 24 hours? If he really was killed and buried at sea, why??? The article states that it is Muslim tradition but who gives a rats @ss. The guy didn't deserve the traditional burial for what he did to our country.
Obama doesn't deserve the credit either....was he there? Did he pull the trigger? The military involved in the raid/kill deserves all the credit. Congratulations and Great Job!!!!
Okay, despite the celebrational atmosphere right now, I'm going to piss a little on everyone's parade for a second....
I understand my comments will likely be collapsed faster than you can spell out OBL's name, but that's fine...go ahead, it won't hurt my ego or my conscience.
Furthermore, please understand that this will sound like a nutty conspiracy theory to some, and enlightened thinking to others, but I just ask that everyone take it at face value.
OK, here goes.....
I'M CLAIMING BULL---T!! PURE, COMPLETE BULL---T!!!!!!!! OUR MEDIA AND GOVERNMENT ARE SELLING, BUT I'M NOT BUYING!!!!
Once again, it appears as though the wheels of government-induced "terrorphobia" are spinning for another round.
You know, the American populace has been getting "soft" on terrorism and our appetite for war has been waning as of late. The current Libyan debacle has not fomented the public support as was anticipated, so the government had to step up its game and rouse the hawkish members to support the full production of our military-industrial complex.
As for Osama....look. IF he was solely responsible for 9/11 (and I'm still waiting on answers to the hard questions surrounding that day), then I'm glad he is now dead. For the last time, hopefully.
But apparently we'll never know IF he was REALLY behind 9/11, 'cause he's dead. Supposedly. The media, the government, and the neo-con echo chamber seem to have sterilized the entire 9/11 tragedy into neat little talking points and 'facts', but the problems and unanswered questions remain. As does my deliberate skepticism.
So onto OBL.
First, we have a situation where another middle-eastern muslim is trained by our CIA, at the U.S. taxpayer's expense, in order to fight the Soviets. Fast forward a couple decades, and now this 'ally' is our greatest enemy. (Hmm, where have I heard this story before?...)
It appears we have a real problem with making enemies out of the same people we once supported as "freedom fighters". (And people lambast me for asking what the difference between the two is? It's about perspective)
Anyhow, OBL apparently decided that he didn't like it when we reneged on our promises to him and his mujahideen...or maybe we just unwittingly insulted his mother....who knows!.....either way, our media/government has since labelled him a 'terrorist', so that's that. We hate him, he hates us, so he decides to blow up some buildings.
Funny thing is, after 9/11, we KNEW he had serious health-issues (and sorry guys, but with well-established kidney failure, you just don't last too long anyways). It's not like his major ailment was a bum knee or recurrent sinus infections! He had KIDNEY FAILURE!!!! People tend to die from that sorta thing, even with dialysis.
Anyways, I specifically remember the media proclaiming that his days were numbered, regardless of any retaliatory strike. He was figured to practically be on his deathbed at the time, remember?? Wasn't anyone paying attention?
Well, according to several ME politicians (Benazir Bhutto ring a bell?) and other news sources, OBL died sometime back in December 2001. The tricky part is, who do you believe?? Since I do not KNOW, and neither does anyone else on this forum, we will just have to suffice with the facts and inferences as best we can.
Read this for some insight on OBL's demise:
All I know, is that our government is now telling us that OBL is dead (with nary a picture or video of him), that our Spec Ops are the ones who pegged him (not that we'll ever get to know WHO was there), that DNA 'evidence' was conducted (but was it independently tested? What about the time frame for everything?), and that he was 'buried at sea'....how convenient. If I had all day I could dredge up more inconsistencies, but these are the more obvious concerns.
AND!! To top it all off....our government is reminding us that we should expect some retaliatory attacks by "The Base" for killing their leader. Hmm? Really? They haven't mustered up another attack on our soil in ten years WITH their leader, but they'll pull it off now that he's gone?? (Hey, I do not doubt our counter-intelligence services to do their job correctly, but think about it- If Al-Qaida was as large and organized as to pull off 9/11, then why haven't we been attacked again? We have a huge country......I'm to believe that they have been thwarted countless times? Not even a single carbomb to lay fear into every American?)
Sounds like more fearmongering by the powers that be in order to drum up support for our war policies. Gotta keep those bombs flying!!
For some interesting reading on our history with OBL:
And listen....If I'm wrong, and I may be, then at least we can all be assured that OBL will not haunt us ever again. And my deepest respects to those who fought for our sake. Conspiracies aside, many good Americans lost their lives in the "Land of Sand". They should be honored for their sacrifices, regardless of the politics and money.
President Obama is our Commander in Chief, with primary responsibility for all military action. He is to be commended for this success as much as the men and women who were involved. The people on this post who are cursing and swearing and screaming that he had nothing to do with it are wasting their breath trying to tear down his leadership. It's a shame they are not rejoicing along with the rest of us.
Burying OBL at sea was the wisest course of action otherwise the extremists would be setting him up as a martyr and making a shrine out of his burial place. He was an evil man, not someone to be revered.
I agree CalifGina. I too read the collapsed ones even more. MSNBC is notorious for their liberal bias. Coming from them today you would swear that Obama is the one who made the kill shot. Look, praise to Obama for signing off on this mission but let's be real....had ANY other President been in office they would have made the EXACT SAME CALL!
Don't expect me to be a part of the liberal media's Obama lovefest when I know that Obama was one of the liberals in Congress who opposed these operations EVERY STEP OF THE WAY during the Bush Administration! I think Obama was naive when he was in Congress and didn't fully understand that he couldn't possibly be privy to ALL of the information that the President had in front of him. Once he was in the hot seat and had ALL the information he realized that there were reasons that operations were being handled the way they were and that is why he didn't close Guantanamo or move our military out like he promised his liberal supporters.
Oh and for those who say that Obama has been blamed for the bad and he should get credit for the good. Normally, I would agree, but Obama has done NOTHING but blame EVERYONE ELSE for the problems in our country since he has been in office. He has blamed Bush for everything under the sun, with the liberal media right there to spread his version of the truth and cloak his sins. Therefore, I have no problem giving credit where it truly is due....to all of our brave men and women in uniform who so courageously defend our country each and every day! President Bush had SO MUCH MORE RESPECT for these fine men and women and to this day still works with disabled veterans...not that the liberal media bothers to cover or report any of this!
For those of you who are asking why he was buried at sea.....please, read the entire article. He was buried at sea because (1) no other country would accept his body for burial; and (2) they did not want to put his body somewhere where there could be a memorial set up for him for the Al Queda to martyr him. Before you make such stupid remarks, you might want to read the ENTIRE article. They have also taken DNA samples, which proved it was him, as well as photographs, etc. You "doubting Thomas'" just don't want to admit that THIS president was the one that gave the "go-ahead" to send in special ops troops to get him. What else are you going to find to denigrate our president? I don't think you'd be happy if he solved the economic problems and provided jobs for EVERYONE....you'd STILL find something to complain about!!
You are absolutely right. This is a great victory for our special forces, our troops, our country, and our President. We as Americans should all be united in congratulating all the people involved. It is fair and justified that the President gets the credit he deserves. Certainly, the responsibilities and burdens of the Presidential Office are more than most of us could ever imagine.
We should all be celebrating this occasion when justice has been served on a very evil man.
Indy, I believe your commentary to be insightful, intelligent and reasonable. In the long run, what were the costs in financial and American lives [supposedly, the Iraq war factors in as well] to capture this terrorist? Is this nation safe from terrorists in the future?
Countless lives have been sacrificed for this one endeavor, American lives and countless, innocent civilians. Perhaps, we need to evaluate our role in helping to breed hate that gives rise to terrorism, in the first place.
Look, I certainly do not often agree with Megalodon's ideology, and he is likely well aware of this.....but to chastise him for "kool aid fans" seems pretty knee-jerk to me! Like the time you shut down a poster for writing about "rabid right wingers".......C'mon!
This forum is one of the best to deliver one's opinion on controversial matters. It also happens to be one of the best self-regulated forums around. The other writers on this forum do a pretty good job of keeping one another in check. We certainly do not allow obnoxiousness or gratuitous ad hominem attacks, but you either ought to monitor this forum more closely, since there are often far worse personal attacks, or just let it go altogether.
Lambasting Megalodon for his/her soft comments, when others are posting far more inflammatory remarks, is simply foolish.
everybody involved deserves credit including president obama. he put his a$$ on the line, when he gave the orders to put boots on the ground in pakistan. he had the final decision. if the mission would have gone bad , it would have been the end if his political career. it very well could be the biggest decicion of his presidency. so for some people not to give him any credit is just political and in my opinion unamerican. these are the same people always screaming they are patriots and everyone else are leftest, communist ,marxist etc. i'm an american.
Everybody knows that BHO is a Muslim as evidenced by his pre-Ramadan speech reference last year while failing to make similar references for Good Friday or Easter this year. He would never O.K. the killing of a Muslim hero, but had to convice U.S. public otherwise. OBL is in luxury lock down status on an island in the S. Pacific with youngest wife and son. Otherwise we'd see the bodies, right? Burial at sea? Was he a naval officer? I'm pretty sure his new house sits right beside a grassy knoll.
OK red flags are going up because global public enemy #1 was just dumped in the ocean...Really?? If any time we need proof and a body it gets dumped in the ocean and people are parading in the streets I just don't get it...I think what the world needs is a big shot of street smarts and stop letting these political and financial thugs from cramming their agenda down our throats. If the Government wants respect from "We The People" they need to stop treating us like "Dead Peasants".
Hurry to Obama, he is the commander in chief and him along with our military deserve the credit. This proves that alot of the outlandish things people would say about Obama were just figments of their imaginations or them using projection.
lol. well tyler, i suggest you go about collapsing everyone with stuff refering to the kool aid then? then again dont stop there, you have leftwingers, rightwingers, teabaggers, democraps, republicraps, and the list does go on. however, being the fact more, far more people use the same type of reference, i find it hard to think it has anything to do with "kool aid fans". That would be the least of anyones worries considering other terminology used here.
i think to find it more the direct honest truth might hurt some people, no matter how its put.
i state my views like most here, i call it as i see it.

You believe that? In one day, Hilarry checked around to see if anyone wanted to donate a cemetary plot? Am I the only one that doesn't buy this one? because it's a whopper. Find one foreign government official who will say, yes, they called me.
and (2) they did not want to put his body somewhere where there could be a memorial set up for him for the Al Queda to martyr him.
They still could have brought him back, put him on some sort of display, and dumped him later. Getting rid of the body quickly served only one purpose.
Before you make such stupid remarks, you might want to read the ENTIRE article.
Before YOU make stupid remarks, perhaps you should think about it.
They have also taken DNA samples, which proved it was him, as well as photographs, etc.
I was very excited when I heard Osama was dead. Then the excitement came to a crashing halt when Fox News said they buried him at sea! I don't think he is dead at all now. If he were they would have brought him here so the 9-11 surviving families could see for themselves. Right now we as American's do not have a grave site to spit or dance on. I am not one for conspiracy theories, but this one really stinks. I think this was drummed up to get our minds off this bad economy.
I heard an excellent analogy awhile back regarding followers of political parties;
getting Democrats together is like herding cats.
getting Republicans together is like herding sheeps.
Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Sure there are ones in both parties that drink kookaids, but one should have clear evidence prior to calling another koolaid drinker.
Some of you guys are so freakin weak with the condemnation and the ignorance of our executive branch. In one hand you condem him of inaction, and then on the other hand you discredit him of taking action. Why do you have such zero notion of accountability?
People on here that feel the need to collapse statements because of their views is a little chicken $#!t if you ask me. Just because someone thanks the President you collapse them? Are you serious? Baak bak bak bak. If you have a problem with their statements then have a rebuttal. Isn't that what this thread is about?Lets have some debates people and unless someone is calling you names and you don't like it then there should be no reason to collapse the statements. There are obviously supporters of Obama on here and people that don't like him. Deal with it and chew on some chill pills.
Hooray the beast is dead. feed him to the fish? should have fed him to the pigs instead. he didn't deserve a burial of any kind. He and his followers. Pig food.
You just can't "fix stupid." The negative, hate-filled, Obama hater's cannot give him credit. That would be admitting they might be wrong about him. They won't do their homework, listen to reason and live in the "little bubble" they've created for themselves. It's an absolute waste of time and energy to put forth a rational thought or debate facts in a clear and concise manner. Thank goodness these folks are the minority and not the mainstream. Right is Might and the truth eventually rises above fiction. How this hatred consumes a person presents the notion that the hater's are living very negative and poisoned lives. I am proud of our President, our military, and most of my countrymen!
I agree with CA girl and several others that have posted comments about the overt bias of moderators. Facinating how the moderators for left leaning MSNBC only see personal attacks if they are from a person they preceive as Republican or Conservative. How about some fair play and integrity on the part of the Moderators or simply tell us those that have opinions that differ from those formulated by MSNBC will not be tolerated.
For those squawking about MSNBC--well, post your comments on FOX. FOX, of course, is SO fair and balanced. When Prez Bush said, "we" will get him, he didn't give a time frame. OBL was hidden, sequestered and shuffled from place to place by his cronies and supporters and believers. Obviously, he had many more believers and idolizers in Pakistan than anyone wanted to admit, including those running the government and the military. How would anyone go about building such an elaborate compound without being noticed? As far as burial at sea is concerned, they washed him and dumped him. Suits me. No shrine and no grave for anyone to kiss. Maybe some will try diving to recover his remains. All I can say is, I hope the sharks are hungry if and when they do. This could also teach doubters a lesson. When we say "we will get you," it may take us 10 years, or even longer, but it will damned well happen!! There may be repercussions from other radicals, but at least the families of those that were murdered now have some justice and closure.
I do have one question...and this *really* is a question, because I don't recall:
Were Saddam Hussein's sons Uday and Qusay Muslim? I believe they were.
And if they were, why were we so ready to "dishonor" them by displaying their corpses so prominently (with Uday's prosthesis removed from his leg for further identification)...and yet now with an arguably more repugnant enemy we're suddenly worried about "honor" and "martyr"?
I understand the logic behind burying Osama at sea.
I don't agree with it.
The American citizens paid dearly in blood for this bastard. We had a right to see for ourselves that our mission of honor was completed.
For all the doubters who can't admit that you've been wrong about Obama twice in two weeks: He was born in Honolulu and he was involved with the planning, and gave the order, to capture/kill Bin Laden.
And if anyone wants to collapse comments refering to kool-aid, PLEASE DO!
A U.S. official said that the burial decision was made after concluding that it would have been difficult to find a country willing to accept the remains. There also was speculation about worry that a grave site could have become a rallying point for militants.
odd... i have 4 acres of land outside my house. i live in the country in a town most people never heard of unless they are from around here, at the end of a dead end road. i can honestly say i would have been more than happy for them to drop him in a hole in this yard, no marker, no anything, and cover him with dirt. i would have no need to dig him up, to point to people where he is, none of that. can pretty much count having a shrine for him out as well. if needed i would make sure rather than fill the septic tank any more than needed, to be sure to water the ground in that one spot as often as possible to make sure the grass will grow faster over the frsh dug ground, and if they put in some turf, id water and fertilise that as well. when the bank does finally take this place in june, the guy across the street plans on buying the land, tearing down the house and whats left of the barn, and growing crops as well. pretty much no trace of the lad.
be it they did actually kill OBL, did toss him off the side of a ship, i would hope they spent a few minuted trying to free him from the ships propeller at full forward speed ahead.
to some of you. it isnt a matter of accepting something Nobama the Clown was a part of. it a matter of being lied to time after time, till you dont believe anything that comes from his mouth anymore. kind of like the boy who cried wolf. it isnt because he is black. he is only 1/2 black, rest is white, and i more think of him as a white man than a black man anyway.
Any 15 year old kid with a computer can clearly see he was lying about the alleged birth certificate. And this? Why get rid of the body so quickly? Osama has been dead for years. They just didn't want to tell us because there is way too much money to be made in war. What do you want to bet, the war is not over?

You can't be serious. Why in the world would we bury Osama Bin Laden in your back yard?
I had to laugh when I saw Dick Cheney on TV this morning trying to take credit for President Obama's work.
I guess we're supposed to forget the fact that Bush and Cheney had our military in Iraq, NOT Afghanistan, so Bush and Cheney could NOT have been looking for Bin Laden.
And we're supposed to forget the fact Republicans are ALWAYS trying to take credit for President Clinton's work AND President Obama's work, even after the fact that Republicans all but denied that Republicans even occupied the White House from 2001 to 2009.
It WAS up to Republicans for 7 years to capture Bin Laden, but Bush and Cheney were so excited over all the oil in Iraq, they shifted our military over to a weaponless Iraq, so that they could have protection while they took the oil.
Republicans want credit? I give my Aunt Petunia more credit than I would give Republicans.
What really makes it so cool, is that President Obama used the Navy SEALs, a branch of our military created by another GREAT Democratic President, President John F. Kennedy!
Congratulations President Obama, and congratulations Navy SEALs! Yaaaaaaahoooooo!
OK, I'm not a supporter of Pres. Obama beyond the respect due to the title. In this case he does deserve some of the credit. In fact, perhaps on a deeper level than what has been discussed.
In all the reports that I have seen, including the briefing on Whitehouse.gov Sunday night, there was never any confirmation that bin Laden was actually living in the compound. Based on intelligence he was "believed" to be living there. That belief was based on the compound itself, the trusted courier that was living there, the belief that a third family living in the compound fit the probable description of bin Laden's family.
Given that, then Pres. Obama acted on intelligence that could very easily have backfired on him, just like the intelligence reports of WMD's being in Iraq backfired on Pres. Bush.
Pres. Obama took a huge risk when he gave the orders to mount the raid. Have to give him props for that.
Unforturnately he has made some mistakes since then. Pres. Bush didn't hesitate to publish photos of Hussein's sons and of Hussein after his capture and execution. He wasn't worried about satisfying Muslim burial customs. He realized that the public has a right to see for itself that a known criminal was really dead. Sure it lost him some respect in the Muslim community, but I think even they understood.
Just like it would be understood by those Muslims that support our efforts (and I think there are more of them than non-supporters) if Pres. Obama had published the photos, the video of the raid (edited to protect the raiders), and then done like was done with Hussein's body, bury Osama in a remote family plot, or even buried him at sea.
Kudos to the special ops team that went into a potentially very dangerous situation and pulled off the coup of the century. Kudos also to all the men and women over the years that have worked to find bin Laden.
the point was, there are plenty of places anywhere he could have been buried, other than at sea, and who would know? they could have dropped down in some national forest or a dessert nobody around, dug a hole and "plop"..... hmmmm. now at sea, you can basicaly forget even any type of recovery just as well, but well when it comes to proof....guess the guys with special effects have thier work cut out for them. ya... so, ya know.... i think rather a burial at sea, there could have been a whole world of options other than THAT one available.
nor is a freind of mine who voted, and up until now would have tickled hit butt cheeks with his whiskars, however today he's a bit.... well lets say he has no faith left in the Clown. makes no real sence. My buddy and i have different political views all the way. he's for unions, medicare all that jazz, but this bit of what have you had him tell me how he thinks i may have been thinking a bit more clear than he has about this whole administration. so it isnt just those who dont support the Clown, its some who do as well.
The man is dead. By burying him within 24 hours we did what was the right thing to do and that is what is important. Why can't we all just accept the fact that this country has completed the mission in victory.
interesting someone should bring that word into the conversation, "fact". the word "fact, factual" is just a different form of the word "facts" or "proof". Being thus far, what "proof, facts" do we have so far? none. we have lots of heresay, people in our government saying it is "true", but then lets take a look back at the relationship between truth, and the government.
we have those who are boo hooing, "are you calling our Seals liars? these people i must ask, the ghost team that doesnt exsist you refer to? Personally i look at this part in 2 ways, if this is an elite team that doesnt exsist, then 1) why would the government be so quick to exspose then over Osama? 2) if they didnt exsist, then they couldnt have killed Osama...
"Team Six" as they are called, if they did exsist, why would the government give up a multi million dollar secret? why just not say anything period, burn Osama, or dump him in the sea, no questions, and the nystery surrounding Osama lives on? Why send in an elite team to do the same job, another team with an outstanding record in to do the same thing? sorry to say but every time there is new information released as to how this went down, photos not being released and so on, it just stinks more and more of bullsh!t.
our government give up its best military secret? will not release any photo post mortem cause it might anger the natives? Osama living in a residential area, mostly military housing, and to include almost 40 minutes of gunfire, and not 1 person in the military or police, anything responds? not to mention a lot of other questionable statements we have been given by our illustrious leader thus far...
maybe they got him, maybe they didnt.... however this sounds more like a story you would hear when your a noob at bootcamp someone made up.
They should do to his body like they did with the Nazis executed after the trials at Nuremburg--burn it and scatter the ashes (so there will be no memorial for the jihadis to flock to).
i agree, the body, what should be done with it..... i say this.... a wood chipper on the back of a USS Battleship, a trip to sea in shark infested waters should make a good means to an end.
I think we should burn his body, dig a hole, put him in it and then pour acid in him and then concrete, cover it and never tell a soul where he is. He needs to be forgotten and never ever give his followers a grave to visit. Gotta make sure the hole is as close to hell as possible.
Now the devil will have some fun with this monster. To the devil I say go at it and never let up for all eternity!
Why bother shooting him before feeding him to the pigs? Just bind him and let the piggies do the work! Actually kind of bummed with what they did with the body. I had been hopeful to spit on his corpse for the last 11 years.
I'm thrilled about the news - - but a little sceptical about this "dumping the body in the ocean" thing. Didwe really care about meeting some muslim tradition for this man? Please tell me that there are some very good photos of him dead. I'm really trying to be happy about this........ something ( other than his body ) just smells a little fishy.
The added plus of having disposed of his body is we deny at least part of their ability to make a martyr of him by not allowing them to have a body to build a shrine around.
hmmm, moe than fishy to me. they couldnt find a country to take his body? seriously!? i dont know, i think im going to have to call bullsh!t on this one till some real actual proof comes into play here. i dont see the US not wanting this body. I dont see were as given the circumstances the part of muslim religion being buried in 24 hrs would hold any water being he was a criminal, war criminal, and responsible for the deaths of over 15,000 people. That being more people as said would be happy to see this pos killed, would be even so much in a tiff he wasnt buried with in a 24 hr time frame, when im pretty sure this is not a normal MUST, even tho i dont know much about the religion personally, there as in any and especially when it comes to government an exception to the rules at times.
yup, calling bullsh!t on our gov till some kind of factual proof is made. tell ya what.... be funny as all h*ll if all of a sudden guess who makes a live apperance in TV or radio huh?
@BOHICA.....
he was made a martyr as soon as he fired a bullet and he was killed if thats the case. he was a one as well i think no matter his demise even if he died in his sleep, just the way it is....
Is dumping bodies into the ocean military protocol?
It can be, and in fact it was years ago in the naval services when bodies could not be preserved to return home. It was called "burial at sea".
While I'm understand the point of doing this -- no "shrine" for terrorists -- I certainly hope they retained IRREFUTABLE evidence before doing it. Of course there will ALWAYS be those who will not believe it (we can look at the conspiracy theorists here who still believe we didn't land on the moon, aliens are living at Area 54, etc. etc.).
Bottom line -- the wicked is dead, our military did it and I'm proud! I had many friends who served there, were injured there, and this is well deserved!
Pres Obama made one mistake here. They dumped him in the ocean.. That is now polluting our waters.. go back find him and burn him... he is not good enough for a burial at sea.
Megalodon it must be true Bush And Cheney say so. As there were 2 live feeds I'm certain more proof will be coming to Quiet the Trumpies and conspiracy folks, but then again that won't satisfy you folks either
Conspiracy theorist are we? Look, they have taken DNA, took matching photographs. To suggest this is all a hoax is a bit far fetched. There are too many ways we can verify the action report. Burial at sea would be approriate since Eygpt turned down the body. Which was smart in that the site of a burial would become a collecting point for every whack job in the terrorist world.
Take it for what it is and move on to the real things you should question... Like what really happened on the grassy nole or Roswell or oh yes area 51... what really happens there.
No secret there. The right hung that on Barack Obama long ago.
That said: Thank you, Mr. President and every other man and woman who helped bring Osama bin Laden to justice.
Screw the politics. Three thousand dead American civilians on 9/11 and the thousands of dead and injured American military who've given of themselves because of bin Laden deserve this day. This is not a day for tin-foil hats.
this not the year 1519, and there are means of transporting someone to the US well within a 24 hr time frame.... so, with this type of technology we have today.... i cant say im going to buy your burial at sea excuse. like anyone who has a doubt now about this, i see a lot of things lacking here...
right next to a military acadamy, no action from them when choppers come "swooping in" about 40 minutes worth of gun battle playing out....still nothing? set the entire compound ablaze basically next to a military acadamy, no fire teams show up? how would they know it wasnt a dorm or what have you? no calls to police from residents in the area..."hey there are troops shooting up this guys house"? IF Pakistan WASNT TOLD, dont you think perhaps at least something other than a 40 minute operation involving choppers, and miltary, gun fire, a huge fire, Pakistan not knowing we were coming for a visit, residents in that area might... just might do something other than think its the natives being restless, roll over and go back to sleep or what ever it was they were doing?
so yes when a 40 minute military strike is being made, and its just a clean sweep of nothing in the way, no types of obsticals, intervention, anything.... then the man they say they killed who we have been hunting for 10 long years is supposedly dumped into the sea.... i think there is enough reason for people to have some type of doubt this story/killing of OBL actually happend.
Much to nice, I would have buried him in a undisclosed position with three pig carcases and all other unclean things. He deserved nothing less then to have been buried in the most sacrilegious way possible. Would have done the same to his sons and then posted pics.
This is a happy day. Kudos to our military and intelligence folks that got it done. I am not a huge Obama fan, but it showed a lot of class on his part to call President Bush and give him the news. The media grudgingly seem to acknowledge that this victory is a USA victory and not a victory just for Obama.
I want to see the body I want to see the pictures of this dead man I want to know for certain with my own two eyes—the world wants to know for sure—Why is this another secret from the Obama camp! Was Bin Laden taking Viagra too? Who wrote this? I don't care where they buried him or how they buried him, show us the people positive proof—I have trouble believing our lying government and so should everyone else. Here is a man who was a mass murder and they give him Islamic rights? Obama is the biggest pussy next to Carter this country has ever seen. This man Bin Laden was a disgrace to the Muslim religion, even the Muslims felt this way.
right next to a military acadamy, no action from them when choppers come "swooping in" about 40 minutes worth of gun battle playing out....still nothing? set the entire compound ablaze basically next to a military acadamy, no fire teams show up?
There will always be people like you that try to find conspiracy in a news story. Did it ever occur to you that since the military post is nearly a mile away that gunfire may not be heard and if it were there probably were gunfire from the compound on a regular basis so nothing to trigger an alarm? That the military knew who was in the compound and were told to keep clear? Also read the story. They blew up the chopper as they were leaving so there was no time for them to do anything before our troops were gone. Just saying.
@ TigerBoy
How do you know Osama bin Laden was a mass murderer? The same government that you question are the same ones that told you that the 9/11 attack was carried out by OBL so how do you know they even told you the truth then? lol
Megalodon,
They "didn't want" to find a country to take his remains so people could make a memorial to him! Making him a Martr is the last thing we need to have happen.
I understand your doubt, but I can also understand the US staying their hand in disrespecting his remains. If we were to bring him back here to make a public spectacle of him, that would fuel the fire with those followers we haven't dealt with yet. Not to mention the volitile Muslim communities we are continuing to operate in.
Once we have let the air out of the tires of the Qaeda, and located and targeted the rest of the leadership, we can pull our people out of there and celebrate properly.
December 25, 2001 -- The Pakistan Observer publishes details of bin Laden's funeral. On the front page, the newspaper reports that an unnamed Taliban leader said bin Laden "had a peaceful natural death in mid-December in the vicinity" of the Tora Bora mountains. The report says that his death was the result of a "serious lung complication." "He was laid to rest honorably in his last abode" in a grave prepared according to the beliefs of the fundamentalist Wahhabi sect of Islam to which the Qaeda leader belonged, the report says.
well we knew the conspiracy "it never happened" nut cases would be out in force. I'm sure photos will be released and DNA samples were taken...(not that it will quiet any of the wing nuts because this did not happen on Bush's watch: hey photos and live coverage didn't even quiet the loons about the moon walk 50 years ago: they don't accept evidence or facts).
For the rest of us: kudos to all involved in bringing this man to justice. Great job to the special strike force and all involved.
It's true that Obama goes out of his way to kiss Islam's ass... no-doubt. But this is Bin Laden. He's become the poster child for American incompetence. Trillions spent, Chimpy declaring, "I don't know where he is and I don't care" just a year into the mission. And 10 YEARS to find one piece of s**t... who was hiding in a million-dollar house with massive walls.
Hey, good going to the guys who did this. But come ON.
Here's a revised plan: Capture him alive. Have him on television. Then behead him slowly. Hold the head up, and simply say, "Allah Akbar?"... then toss his head into a fire started by his personal copies of the Qu'ran.
Too much? Okay...
At the VERY least, release photos of the body. However, a shot to the eye probably took off the back part of his head. Still, better than nothing. And, until then, you've done nothing but piss off a bunch of bronze-age, superstitious morons even further.
Some posters pointed out Obama had nothing to do with Osama’s demise. While that is correct, he is the current president and being the current president, he gets rightly the blame for everything wrong but also receives accolades when good things happen. Such is the nature of the office of the presidency. I’m sure most remember old Harry Truman’s “The Buck Stops Here” statement.
So, while I remain a harsh critic of Obama’s economic and other policies, congratulations on the demise of Bin Laden are in order.
I can't believe everyone on here is BUYING THIS CRAPOLA!!! The guy's been DEAD FOR SEVERAL YEARS! Just one month before Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in 2007, she was interviewed by David Frost talking about Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh had murdered OBL. youtube.com/watch?v=UnychOXj9Tg.
QUIT ALLOWING THE MEDIA TO SPOON FEED YOU WHAT THEY WANT YOU TO THINK AND THINK FOR YOURSELVES!
1st off, having the tool buried at a undisclosed location doesnt make him any more of a marytr than he is at this point, nor less. giving Americans PROOF of such justice does not make him a marytr any more or less, nor does transporting the body to American soil where it should be disposed of at however the PEOPLE say it is.
as far as gunfire not being heard a mile away....give me a break. let me guess, no other residence in that area had a telphone or cell phone to call police, even fire crews? no... you may want to fill your face with kool aid by believing everything you hear, i prefer not to. does not make me believe there are aliens at area 51, or a lot of other conspiracy theories. i like any other ration American who has been lied to by his government time after time after time, want proof. better yet, why dont YOU go out on a limb here, and prove me wrong....give me some proof why dont cha? cant if there is none right? see, OBL has been out of the view for so long, who would know as far as my guess goes. its also been rumored he died yrs ago, needs kidney dialasis machines... so ya, because the clown says its true, makes me want to see the proof even more. call me racist, call me kkk fan, waste your breath, Nobama is as white as he is black in my book. mommy white, daddy black.... its a coin toss. he's afraid to admit he is white tho, isnt that funny too?
They should have brought his carcass to NYC dragged it through the streets and strung him up by his boot heels like the Italian partisans did to Mussolini. Then fed him to the hogs. The Bush administration did not get him but Obama's did. So all you people who try to deny the credit to Obama need to remember that and to all you conspiracy @ssholes eat sh!t! Scratch one dead terrorist!
I want to see the body I want to see the pictures of this dead man
And you still don't believe the birth certificate either, do you?
Consider the following:
There is NO gain to be had --- and plenty to LOSE --- from creating a spectacle of disrespect that infuriates Muslim fundamentalists. Say whatever you want about their beliefs. It's not up to you to change them.
What do you think the reaction would be if bin Laden's body was strung up somewhere for people to stone and spit on? It might make some Americans feel good, and it's not like I don't understand. That's not the point.
The point is -- get rid of the SOB, don't make more of a martyr of him than necessary, and don't create new problems in the process. Make a show out of this and you've created new reasons for new terror attacks.
Discretion is the better part of valor.
2. None of what I've said is going to change your mind, any more than you're going to change the mind of jihadists. Nothing will ever stop you from hating Barack Obama.
Enjoy yourself, and whatever pleasure that brings you.
He could not have been captured alive, that would risk all kinds of attacks in an effort to get him released.
To those who think he's still alive, faking his death would be impossible. He would release a video and humiliate us. He was probably not buried at sea, they said that so they could keep his body longer, but still look like they were appeasing the msulim community.
A disabling shot is actually easier to deliver than a headshot. And they still had to get to his body, which also risks all kinds of attacks. He's committed crimes on American soil and should've been tried here. The US justice system is for US people, and US people have a right to see it done properly.
Why risk the chance that some bleeding liberal would acquit him? Death penalties take YEARS in this country to carry out with all the appeals, etc..... there is no "speedy justice"...... and all the time he would live on the taxpayer's dime. No THANK YOU. He never deserved a trial, but did deserve a very speedy dispatch.... love the fact the coward used a woman as a shield....for all the good it did him. He's gone. But all Obama did was issue an order, so no credit to him...... ALL the credit to our special forces..... they're the ones who risked their lives to take out the trash.
This is just a little to convenient. He's shot a dumped out at sea just like that. Now there is no proof that he was ever killed except by the word of a president seeking reelection. I want to see a body. Why would the worlds most wanted man not be shown to the American public? And why at sea? So the body can never be retrieved for proof!? This just isn't making sense.
Besides I don't believe obama would order the killing of a muslim.
Ha ha!!! I keep having the Robin Williams bit going through my head ever since last night.......
I can see it now: Osama bin Laden goes up to the gates of Heaven where George Washington comes out, says, "How dare you defile what I have created," and starts whaling on his a$$, then 70 other members of the Continental Congress come out and start kicking the $h!t out of him. Osama will say, "Hey, wait! Where are my virgins?" "71 *Virginians*, you a$$h0le!" Or maybe it's 71 Virgils going, "You got a purty mouth!"
Am I the only one who thinks bin Laden should've been tried here in the US and then been given the death penalty? Every doubt would've been removed.
From the reports I've read, the tactical team offered Osama and the others the chance to surrender. I believe Osama fired on the American squad. Quite sure that bin Laden had no intention of being captured alive. It's kinda like suicide by cop.
They should have stuck his head on a pike at ground zero. Had his body drawn and quartered and sen to the four corners of the world. But I do wonder how they managed to speed up science and get a DNA match that fast, especially since they didn't have any of his own DNA.
Indypatriot: Please give it up!! We KNOW how you feel and why, but to repeat yourself is ridiculous. Go crawl back into your barcalounger and take a break!! Apparently NOTHING that this president will do is good enough for you, but that's no problem....the majority are on his side! Live with it!
I can pretty much guarantee you that even if President Obama had shot Bin Ladin himself and it was on TV for all to see....you'd STILL find something to deny!!
LOL, Didi...sorry I offended your sensibilities with my blatant re-posting, but I figured since the #1 thread was collapsed, I would re-post for others to see.
Point two, I do not own a barcalounger. And I wouldn't be able to reach the keyboard if I did.
Point three, in my view this has nothing to do with our current president intrinsically. Give Obama the credit for finding him if you like. My issue is with GOVERNMENT, not a particular elected official or party. (Hence "Indy")
Point four, the 'majority' have nothing to do with my post or yours, unless you believe the logical fallacy of 'ad populum' is fundamentally flawed. If so, please do tell!!
Point five, IF Obama shot OBL himself I would give due credit for having the gusto to take care of business himself. But since that notion is impractical, I'll still accept some independent (foreign preferred) analysis as my basis for proof. Or pictures. Those seem to help, though it still wouldn't refute the circumstantial evidence of OBL's earlier passing, or our government's ability to whitewash anything it chooses.
Hey, I'm skeptical, that's all. I have nothing against Obama other than some domestic policies I do not agree with. Heck, I even pulled the lever for the guy in '08.
Tried in this country? Then you would probably complain about the waste of taxpayers' money for all the trimmings necessary....tons of security, etc. Some people are never satisfied and always miserable!!
Burial At Sea! What a great move, there will be no martyr funeral with millions of mourners in the street pasing the body from one to another with great wailing and gnashing teeth. No millions getting riled up for immediate revenge and doing all sorts of anti-american protests being covered wall-to-wall by the sympathtic media.
But then again, if we saw these millions of people supporting and martyring OBL maybe the lefties would wake up and recignize the paucity of moderate Islamists and realize the extent of the danger to us and our way of life!
NNAA!! They would blame it all on us for somehow prompting them to this action because, in reality, we are the terrorists of the world.
With all that said, Obama deserves the credit for continuing the pursuit and authorizing the action to go in and get him unequivically, not loft a bomb in hopes of getting him. And many thanks to the warriors who manage to put all the mistreatment and negativism aside and do such a difficult job with such dedication and sacrifice. Hooyah, 'Oorah, Hooah to you all of us!!
If they think that by burying his body as sea will diffuse any retaliation from the extreme islamists, they're seriously mistaken. The fuse has been lit and the Jihadists are gearing up, lets hope we can destroy them all before they can retaliate in any serious way.
Some of you wonder why feed these terrorist to hogs. well in their religion pigs are filthy and un Godly. they will not be allowed to enter heaven if they are contaminated. Conflicts have been stopped by the practice of burrying in a pig hide. Look up Gen Lejeune and the Philippino uprising the Muslim gorillas would not fight after the practice or threat was invoked. the uprising ended. So what if a couple swine's get sick I don't think it will kill them. Just don't eat pork yourself. Its possible burial at see is just as good now he is lying at the bottom of the ocean being consumed by filthy see scavengers the joy is too much. Bin laden reduced to Crab $#!+.>>>>> Thank you U.S. Military.
One thing I don't understand is why honor a 24 hr burial, when they kill our people they drag the bodies around for 3 or 4 days abuse ,degrade, and mutilate prior to dumping, why do we have to show respect? its a bit one sided.
We are NOT rabid barbarians and not on the same level as the terrorists. If our legislation and morals break down, we are in a worse state than the Muslim countries that hate us.
Having said that, an official pic would be good to put that behind us. But it ain't over, not by a long shot.
There are those who (and I don't need to list them here -- read for yourself) who will NEVER, EVER believe ANYTHING. That's just the way they are.
They are entitled to their opinions -- but that's all they are -- opinions. Most are very ill-informed opinions, at the most drawing on the opinions of others like themselves. It's self-feeding.
I will put up a few points -- not that the conspiracy theorists would even consider them. But my points are aimed at those who the conspiracy theorists might confuse.
1. Burial at sea is a time honored custom and STILL done up on request. It's also a good way of NOT having a burial place to either become a shrine or trying to steal the body. It was one of the few things that the USSR got right after the war, not releasing Hitler's body for neo-Nazis. Of course, that led to -- you guessed it -- the multitude of conspiracy theories that Hitler didn't die.
2. Release of photos and video. I'm sure these will be released when, and only when, authorities can be assured that no American troops or other agents, would be compromised by what is shown. I'm sure the special forces involved in this raid are still in the business of hunting terrorists.
3. Get over the fact that Obama was in charge of when he was killed! That little fact alone I'm sure is fueling a lot of the conspiracy theorists. Shall we take a poll? How many who don't believe OBL was killed believe Obama was born in Kenya?
Bottom line? It would be REALLY, REALLY dumb to proclaim OBL was dead if he wasn't. How easy would it be for him to put out another video?
If Pakis had a scent, then they would have saved him as they did earlier. And at the same time, some Pakis would have acted as saints fighting and helping in catching bin Laden.
Yeah, good job dumping the body of the supposedly most wanted terrorist in the history of the world.
Ask yourself this: Is it really military protocol to dump the body of a suspected terrorist mastermind into the ocean?
Do you even want proof that the dude is actually dead? Do you truly even care if he's dead? You probably didn't care all that much in the last 6+ years, huh?
Yes, why aren't people looking for proof? And why dump his body in the ocean? Wouldn't you want to be able to show and prove it was him instead of dumping his body in the ocean?
I'm glad someone else isn't blindly believing all this.
When I saw that he was buried according to Muslim tradition, I knew it was a matter of time before right wingers act silly. It aint that deep. What we do with his remains has nothing to do with his final judgment and afterlife.
Chris the Professor.....this is a wonderful day for America. Please don't start ruining it already by spewing right/left BS onto this blog filled with patriotic spirit. Let's celebrate as one nation at least maybe for a day!
Pictures will not prove anything. Ever heard of Photoshop? Sorry, but dumping the body in the drink is just way too convenient. Not buying it.
Note to Obama: Don't get the same team to doctor the photos of Osama that doctored your birth certificate. And don't forget to save the finished product as one file so that the layers are not visible.
I love that he was chucked overboard. It makes total sense to just get rid of his once and for all. No place for terrorists to make a shrine. I just hope the was thrown towards the West and not East.
Ben - I was in Afghanistan for a while. To take this figurehead and put him in a place that is inaccessible is brilliant. To have his body would mean so much to his followers. These people would protect that area like no other.I know terror will not stop. There are just too many power hungry murderers in the world, like Afghanistan. The Taliban leaders should be next and I bet they are freaking out.
Obama would have to be insane to fake this and no matter what you think of his politics he's not insane. (I personally don't care for him.) All they have to do to make Obama look the idiot is to produce Osama somewhere where we can't get at him.
Obama would have to be quite positive Osama is dead before he would stick his neck out like this. I pretty much have to accept Osama is dead and have a nice celebration for the guys that pulled this off.
On a side note, since I believe in an afterlife, I wonder what is going through his mind now that he has to have realized just what a monumental screw up he's made of his - now - ex-life.
I'm not going to look at this from a political point of view. This isn't the time or place for that. Let's look at this from an American citizens point of view. Osama Bin Laden was bragging about his part in 9/11. Almost 3,000 innocents were slaughtered by the order given by Osama Bin Laden. Osama Bin Laden has been spreading his poison for the last decade, using the Koran as an excuse for his actions. I'm glad they buried Osama Bin Laden at sea. He didn't practice the true teachings of the Koran and his actions were an insult to the faith he professed.
The Muslim Community worldwide should appreciate this death. Osama Bin Laden represented the worst of what Islam has to offer. The American dead can now rest peacefully; their slaughtered blood has received justice..On Earth now and in Heaven.....
@My Fellow Americans - I meant to post my reply on the previous thread to stop the partisanship started up there because I'm on the same wave length as you. If you read what the first line of that thread says, you'll know what I'm talking about. So my bad for scrolling too far accidentally.
This appears to me to be a win for all of us. It is clear that intelligence got the information, the President gave the final order, and the soldiers carried out the risky operation. The world is rid of a man responsible for the deaths of thousands (I'll leave his eternal fate up to God.) We are not barbarians-his body was not dishonored. I would think people of all faiths and those of no faith could find reason to appreciate that.
You're right, it would be insane to fake this unless Osama were already dead, which he is. They've kept this war alive for years looking for a dead guy. Now it's time to cash in some political points. Conveniently getting rid of the body is just the icing on the cake.
You people can believe this cover story if you like. I don't believe anything this president or government says. We've been lied to too many times. They're not even good at lying anymore.
Did they kill him and bury him within a couple hours?
I'm generally not a suspicious person, but why bury him so quickly? It doesn't make sense to me. I mean, here's a guy we've been hunting for 10-years. Why the rush to get rid of the body?
It's amazing that some people will believe some Arab newspaper that said he died several years ago (without pictures, etc.), yet they won't believe that he was killed by the US soldiers (even tho' there ARE pictures and DNA evidence which will be brought forward soon). As I said before, President Obama could have gone over there and shot him himself in front of 100's of television cameras, and some people STILL would not believe it!!
nwnative- for the zillionth time ~ the media were the only ones that deceived this county by their ignorant application of MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. There are so many levels of military operations to name a few; objective, mission, campaign, battle, war. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED as W Bush used it was for USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN's MISSION - to deploy overseas for 6-8 months and drop ordinace on target in Afghanistan, and they were returning home after accomplishing their mission. If you had actually listened to W's speech instead of blindly guzzling what the media fed you then you would of got that.
Ben - I would call the capture/kill of Bin Laden a definite win. I think Goldie Taylor said it best; "Tonight, I do not celebrate the death of bin Laden, but the lives he will not live to take." What would you call it?
Didi, I don't get my news from arab newspapers. Even the CIA said he was dead years ago. Kidney failure is not something you bounce back from even with dialysis, which is not available in caves. And I truly can't wait to see the pictures. Hopefully, they will do a better job with photoshop than they did with Adobe Illustrator.
And Obomba wouldn't know how to operate a cap gun, so no I probably would be skeptical of that scenario also.
The amazing thing is how easily you people are fooled. You blindly believe a narcicist and a government who has lied to you repeatedly over and over. Dumping the body in the drink before anyone else gets to look at it is just not credible.
I don't know-where are the photos? Why the quick burial at sea? The U.S. could have brought him here for the DNA testing. Something is a little odd about this.
With Saddam Hussein there were many photos. Who is going to make a shrine for bin laden? Not any country that I'm aware of. The only ones who might do that are the al qaeda members, and who cares-if they make a shrine-take them out while they are making it.
Helloooo.
Something mighty odd about this operation. All we have is the word of a few people. Highly suspicious.
Even if he was shot in the eye, there should still be another angle to take a photo. In any case, there are so many blood and gore movies out now, who's going to be upset over a little more. Come on people-we need a little more proof.
More smoke and mirror tactics being orchestrated by someone (Odumma) grasping at straws on a sinking ship during a time when his approval ratings are sinking faster than the Titanic and the whole country in turmoil over his LACK of leadership abilities. I too am one that finds this whole thing very strange, the timing of it all (due to the aforementioned reasons) and the fact that he was allegedly shot and buried at sea within 24 hours "with" a DNA match? Sounds like total BS to me. I think Odumbo will try anything he can to regain the confidence of the sheep he has lost over the years and is attempting anything he can to sway the people to vote him in again. Strange how this all happened with us being in such dire straights here in the US and him threatening re-election, great timing of it all huh? I want to see proof, the fact he was killed and buried so quickly sounds too fishy (pun intended) to me.
Do any of you think that the US would make this up? To only have Bin laden show up in the next few months taunting the US? I do not see that happening. He is dead and I am glad. I am glad he was dumped like the garbage he is.
I do not like what Obama is doing with this country but I do have to give him props for saying get him. Clinton did not pull the trigger like 6 times. Bush did not get him because of the Afghan military. ( They had a chance and did not go after him because one of the military leaders fought with Bin laden against the Russians.
I say keep this momentum up and just keep wreaking havoc on the terrorists and the countries that harbor them. Oh yeah, FU Pakistan
We wouldn't be questioning it if his body hadn't been disposed of so quickly, with no photos available. And with the flimsy excuse of worrying about his burial site becoming a shrine. Anyone who would worship at the shrine would have to be taken out.
Do any of you think that the US would make this up?
In a heartbeat. Not the country, not our soldiers, citizens or anyone on this board. But the people that are pulling the strings behind this puppet president, you better believe it. If it serves their agenda, they'll say anything they can get away with.
To only have Bin laden show up in the next few months taunting the US? I do not see that happening. He is dead and I am glad
I'm glad too, but he's not going to show up anytime soon because he's been dead for years. Dumping him in the drink is a fine idea, but only after skeptics (like me) are satisfied it was him. To not bring back the body is either incredibly stupid or wickedly ingenius. One thing is for sure. Now there's no way to prove to anyone who it was. Kinda like Hitler.
Ben- I understand your point. But when I was there and we were capturing Taliban and foreign fighters. On many occasions they were picked up with propaganda from Bin laden. New photos and a constant change in backrounds. Which means he was moving a lot. I left there in 2010. I am not a Seal or anything like that. But I do know by certain missions, he was alive. Not my missions.
To do what we did yesterday by violating Pakistani airspace, so far into Pakistan, took a lot of guts. If something would have gone wrong, Pakistan would have our soldiers. The US is not going to plan this just as a charade. To put soldiers on the ground is major. I do believe we will see photos. I do not know if all of us will see the live mission video. I would love to see it. The soldiers involved are most likely going to be debriefed for days. Evey action will be gone over with a fine tooth comb.
The dumping of his body to me is genius. It takes away a shrine or Muslim made holy place. Saudi Arabia did not want him there. Yemen, no way. Where would he go? By doing that is really sends a psychological mind *&%$ to other terrorists.
I bet all his buddies are freaking out and are scared to death. This will not stop terrorism but it is a major blow because the terrorists believed he would never be killed. Be careful bud.
Eventually dumping the body would have been genius. If you want to send a psychological message, soaking it in pigs blood and running it through a wood chipper would have been even more so. However, getting rid of the body without putting it on display is a huge blunder, and leaves doubt where there does not need to be any. Sorry, but I just don't buy the burial at sea.
I do understand your point. I do want to see some photos and whatever we get to see. I imagine we will. I think we will end up seeing the video of the raid somewhere down the road. Maybe Nat Geo. But just the thought of us dumping the body and it pissing off his followers is awsome. I do agree with soaking him in pigs blood. It is a good day though for me.
It could have been a good day. I would like to believe what my government tells me. I'd like to go back to the day that I trusted and believed. That would be wonderful. Unfortunately, I cannot.
I do not trust our government to a point. Congress are a bunch of overpaid people who could not cut it in the real world. Both parties have equally screwed this country up. By only being loyal to their party instead of this country. But I am sure the proper people are going through the photos and video. Our country has contacted other countries in the past and present, to find out if they would want his body and everyone said no way. This just ensures that there will not be a holy land for terrorists. But if we did not kill Bin laden and he shows up somewhere in real time video, the US would truly be a laughing stock. As it sits now, Pakistan is the laughing stock. Some other issues I question but not this one. Too important to the moral of this country. Be careful and have a good day Ben.
What channel were you watching when you saw Dick Cheney trying to take credit for this?
I watched MSNBC during Chris Matthews' segment, and Cheney gave Obama and his intelligence people a big kudos and thanked them for a job well done. Even Matthews--a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat and Cheney hater--was surprised and complimentary of Cheney's remarks.
So I'm curious: where did you see him try to steal President Obama's thunder on this?
They dumped the body in the ocean to avoid a burial shrine to this monster, you people have been lied to by the Bush Government for so long you just can't except good news when you hear it.
I hope the left wing socialist/progressive whack jobs give it a rest. Only they would be questioning whether Osama is really dead or just some CIA plot or other incompetence. They will, or course, support their ranting by pointing out Bin laden’s corpse was thrown into the sea so no independent identification can conducted.
I keep expecting some subversive bunch like the ACLU to file suit for denying Bin Laden his civil rights and a trial by killing him instead of capturing him.
Your assumption that "no" independent identification was conducted, is just that, an assumption, you couldn't possibly have a clue. I believe in the military men and women of this country and their integrity. That is what makes me a patriot, and you a moron.
Our country is a Christian country and it saddens me that we are celebrating the death of our enemy. It's as though this conflict caused us to lose our way as a Christian nation.
Christ would never parade around the death of another man. He would mourn the loss of another human life and deplore that violence begets violence.
If you could comprehend even a little of what you read, you may one day be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. I’ll go a little slower just for you.
I said it’s the left wing whack jobs that would dispute Bin laden’s demise, not me.
The nay sayers are not saying that Bin Laden isn't dead, they are saying he's been dead for some years now. Although it will be nice to see some photos of that loser with a hole in his head. And if he has been dead for a while as the Pakis are saying then they should produce a body or a pic of his grave site, I doubt it'll happen though. Either way the POS is dead being ripped apart by the demons of hell in a lake of fire for eternity! If thats not a good reason for a BBQ this weekend, I don't know what is.
Though no one should ever rejoice in someone else's death, this man has caused unspeakable sorrow, not only for our nation, but for his own and his family in particular. Let God now determine his just reward and let Allah know who the only true and just God really is!!!
There is only one true God and he is known by many names. Yahweh, Allah, and God are three different names for the Same God in three different languages. Good night and God Bless everyone.
What's with the first picture and the American flag with Obama on it? Just slightly tacky? If Obama is going to use this to campaign for his re-election, could he at least hold off a bit while the City of New York and the families of the victims take in Bin Laden's death?
Totally agree Svenolafson, just another attempt of Odumma, that pathetic narcissist, to look like some sort of hero. I still don't believe it has happened yet with NO proof being shown and a burial within 24 hours? Something just isn't adding up here.
I really don't think it matters if he's dead or alive. His ability to wage war against the US was degraded to 0 years ago. If all of us had thought about it the announcement of his death should have been subdued as well as the response to it. Actually it should never have been reported. We give him too much credit with all the celebrating.
@ David Dobson. Nobody cared about religious ramblings from Oscuma Bin Killden, and nobody cares about your fanatical religious ramblings either. Just the babblings of another nut. Moving on.
The creator spirit is known to humans by many names. Humans use those many names as a reason to commit violence against, and kill one another in senseless wars. The creator spirit weeps for us.
True, we will forever be the voice of reason in this new world order we call Freedom. Finally, Anonymous pin-pointed the cave in which Usama (Osama) Bin Laden was hiding in, and the CIA took action. Now lets get the rest of them while their trail is still hot.
If it wasn't for the pressure by our armed forces being put on these subjects, there's no way they would have been holed up for easier tracking. Good job to all who protect us.
Finally, Anonymous pin-pointed the cave in which Usama (Osama) Bin Laden was hiding in, and the CIA took action. Now lets get the rest of them while their trail is still hot.
Er .. did you get past the headline? Even to the photo? He was NOT hiding in a cave. He was in a compound near the capital of Pakistan (which leads to other issues to be discussed later) that was probably build JUST to hide him!
This is solely a job executed by our men in the military regardless who is in the administration. We need to wait certainty of confirmation that this is really Ben Ladin's dead body.
When I was just about to turn off the TV last night, CNN flashed the news the President was calling a news conference, pretty rare on a Sunday, the news said. When I found out what it was about I was beyond happy.... stupid bastard is gone.
I was really REALLY struck by the crowds gathered outside the White House, which seemed to get bigger and bigger. These crowds reminded me of those I saw on the news after 9/11 when there were celebrations by Al-Qaida (spelling?) over their "victory." Well, guess what, how does it feel now to see the US celebrating our victory?? That, to me, was perfect, the shoe on the other foot. And, had the situation been reversed, no doubt Al-Qaida would have paraded the body all over for the world to see. We didn't we upheld Islamic law and had him buried (at sea, but buried) within 24 hours...... I could not be more proud of our men and women in the armed forces for their service all these years.....
How do you like us now Al-Qaida??? :) We kept our promise
I feel a lot of things. Bravo to those Navy Seals that risked their lives to end the life of a mad man. I would have liked to have seen the surprise in the face of that mad man when he knew he was going down.
One man has cost the US trillions of dollars in lost economic activity, personal freedoms, infrastructure loss, human lives, and blood money to ME countries that were pretending to help. It is staggering to think one man could do so much harm. I keep hearing that man's voice determined to bring down the US physically and economically and he did a very good job.
Why did this man get so much traction in the ME? Have those issues that fueled hatred of the west changed since then? The issues I speak of is lack of an economy for most of the ME which means a lot of young men without jobs and nothing to do but hate. Even with government subsidies that are used in those countries to quiet the masses, it still doesn't keep those men busy and feeling productive about themselves. We also can't dismiss the radicalization of a religion that fuels that hate.
Was OBL even relevant anymore? We have cut off the head of the snake, a powerful symbol, but will his death just enrage the haters or temporarily silence them until another leader steps up?
The threat is poverty. That is now what the US is looking at with so many dependent on the government just to live. We are going in the wrong direction which will also set up the angry youth when they can't secure a job.
We can feel vindicated today, but we must learn from how this all got started and try to look at the landscape today and learn from it. The US can't solve all its problems with gunfire. That is ultimately destruction. We need to be known for bringing the world together by showing how a productive society can flourish.
Yup, Osama is SOOO dead that there isn't any pictures of him dead, nor is there any actual evidence of him dead because his body was thrown in to the ocean before any doctor could even examine him!! BUT DAMMIT! He is dead! And proof is not needed because the US government NEVER lies!
It was reported that not only was pictures taken, but Pres. Obama and his team had audio and visuals in situation room as it went down. Some will most probably be released; once more of these bastards are executed. But why declassify US missions and how our service people did this, while there is still much more work to do. Congrats to Pres. Obama and Special Thanks to our Navy Seals and the rest of our military working hard to protect our great country!!!! YES WE CAN - DAMN RIGHT WE CAN!!!!
We are awaiting the long form from the mortuary with your name on it. Please don't post an obituary picture because you must be as ugly as you have been sounding about a MAN you've never even met. I 've never met you but, that's a good thing.

Well I don't think the Pakistan Observer is a credible source for anything but government propaganda (they've carried these reports many times in the last decade), but you go ahead and believe whatever is printed there.
I hope the Us military gets the bounty, nice bonus check!
As for all of those who ridicule any citizens celebrating...I say stuff it! There is a huge difference between our celebration and theirs. We are rejoicing a victory after a war was declared against us by Bil Laden himself, they were celebrating Bin Laden ordering the murder of many innocents(Americans, Foreigners, Children). They celebrated plain out murder, we had done nothing to provoke such a hateful attack...there were no polotics or military in the World Trade Center. Yes I am aware of the other targets and deaths that did have polital figures and military. Celebrate this is a victory that deserves a celebration!
Good job and much gratitude to our service men and women. I am no fan of Obama...but good job President Obama(however he need give more credit to the military, he used "I" a lot in his speech)
Why? According to some here the US military faked the entire episode. Guess the US military and all those involved in the raid are actually frauds not capable of carrying out such an action.
The more I read, the more I'm starting to believe we have some of the stupidest people on earth living in this country.
"Ya Think" ?? Isn't it just mind-boggling? You actually can't believe what some of these hater's come up with..or..what they actually believe..just nothing short of frightening that they live amongst us..WOW
muglitt you seriously got something stuck... but nonetheless I hope you're enjoying the moment as an american brought to you courtesy of the one the only President Obama!
again it was not him on the ground risking his life, or you for that matter. nor did he find him , he did nothing . do you think it is going to matter in a month when people wake up and see there are still no jobs, all time high gas prices, and no end in sight.
coach mcguirk didnt not know there was a poll taken that show me a minority for one. and as for the little value thing I guess that is something to wait and see .
Being Commander in Chief, he gave the order that got this mission accomplished. He stands before you as the greatest leader of the 21st Century. Isn't it a shame that, on this momentous occasion, your thinking has been so twisted by propaganda that you can't give your President the support he has earned and deserves.
Why are you congratulating Obama? What did he do, exactly? Has he been away from his family and friends fight for our freedom as well as his own life? Has he lost his friends in battle? The answer is NO. The only thing he did was give the order to kill Bin Laden, which likely would have happened anyway.
The people to congratulate and who deserve the credit are the men and women fighting.
Two more repubs already rewriting history and sucking sour grapes because they beloved shrubboy didn't catch Bin Laden. Of course, their beloved shrubboy and the rest of the repubs never intended to catch Bin Laden anyway, running loose he was always good for votes.
He gave the order.. That is what he did. Without the order nothing happens. You are right, though, he did not fly in on a plane and say "mission accomplished".
Oh please, Obama was told there was a good chance that was where Bin Laden was in Aug 2010 - that was 10 months ago! Then in February he was told it was definitely Bin Laden and what did Obama do - he sat on it some more and did nothing for another 3 months. Obama is just darned lucky that Bin Laden didn't move again while he stalled and procrastinated. This accomplishment is entirely credited to Obama's military and strategy advisors who kept pushing him to give them the authority to proceed and to the military men and women who made it happen. Obama is just a leech who is now trying to take the credit. Can't wait until 2012 to get ourselves a real president.
Obama handled this situation in a manner that should have been done years ago. He gathered information, He trusted in his Military leaders, and let the Military do their jobs.
He could have chosen the other path of starting a war with someone who had nothing to do with 9/11, who did not pose a threat to the US. This move could have used our military for corporate financial gain, and also cost thousands of miltary lives and 2 Trillion dollars....But we know by Trial and Error that approach does not work.
Thank you President Obama for being a LEADER and thank you Special forces !!
How quickly we forget! Obama has been staunchly against interrogating detainees, has tried to shut Gitmo since his election, and has done everything in his power to countermand any intelligence gathering from detainees. Yet the information that lead to finding and killing Bin Laden came from the interrogation of detainees! So basically, if things had been done Obama's way this day would have never come.
I'll be giving Fraudbama "mad props" on this one just as soon as the Liberal "bleaters" give Bush/ Cheney theirs for keeping America attack free since 9/11.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc!
I am happy that this turd got flushed. It is a great day for our country and the families of his innumerable victims.
Nice try, but go back and read the article. The intelligence gathering started long before Obama was in office. He didn’t do $hit other than give the approval to carry out an operation that started before he even ran for office.
As Coleslaw1 pointed out, if anything his actions and those of other bleeding heart libs have done more to hinder the process of prosecuting the war on terror than to help it.
Obama was simply fortunate to be in office when things finally came to head. Nothing more, nothing less. The only thing he deserves any recognition for is that he actually had the intestinal fortitude to approve the final operation rather than worry about the possible legal ramifications like Clinton did when he was presented with and declined the opportunity to take OBL during his term in office…
ALL of the thanks and recognition goes to the brave men and women that spent years risking their lives gathering intelligence, planning, and executing this operation!!
For those of you asking what did Obama do? The answer: a hell of a lot more than pathetic Bush did. Bush started two wars that accomplished ONLY the deaths of many of our soldiers and sailors, not to mention civilians. Not only is Obama trying to extricate our soldiers from these costly wars, he was the one to give the order to finally KILL that monster named Osama Bin Laden. I'd say Obama has done way way WAY more than Bush could ever claim. Give it up, naysayers. Don't you know bitterness will give you ulcers? You are truly losers in every aspect of the term.
NoTea4Me- Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I was overwrought by your deadly riposte and have been crying. I think my vision is now sufficiently cleared and I would like you to consult your brain trust of 4th graders and find out what rhymes with numb.
I will trooper on in the hope that you won't hurt me again. If you're going to be snarky please don't publicly humiliate me. Can't you just pass me a note after recess?
As for the statement " he could've started war with a country that had nothing to with it" well he didn't , but he did get us involved with the Lybia mess!!!
I say his speech was nice, excluding all the "I" did this and "I" did that. I also agree he was the only who could give the order to proceed, and he called 2 former Presidents that were waiting for this day. However any president would have given the green light, so no honor there...It is our voluntary military, those who selflessly sacrificed for all these years who deserve ALL the credit.
Thank you, President Obama, for staying the course laid forth by President Bush. Setting ideology aside in the face of reality is the only reason our military was able to accomplish this monumental mission. And more importantly, thank you to each and every solider and family member of a soldier who has been personally involved in making this happen. There is no possible way we can repay the debt of your sacrifice.
And President Obama did congratulate publicly the the team that made this accomplishment. But, as commander-in-chief, he did plenty. First, he made this task a priority.. had resources assigned, and put people's lives at risk on his command. He had to take the political risk, and send a team into a foreign country in a heavily fortified region without their knowledge. If it had failed, you, Cindy, would have condemned him. He succeeded, so why not congratulate him.
Being Commander in Chief, he gave the order that got this mission accomplished. He stands before you as the greatest leader of the 21st Century.[/q]
Are you kidding me? How can you possibly think this? You can pull your head out of his arse and see what the rest of us see, although you might not like it. He is one of the biggest FAILURES since Carter, but sheep like you can't see that. And DaleP, you think Odumma deserves credit and congrats for this and it is published because it was a success, do you really think it would have become public knowledge had it failed? NO!! Had it failed we'd not have heard a single word about it, so congratulate him all you and eutupre want, but he is a failure and deserves nothing but to be shown the door on his way OUT in 2012!
Stop the tears. The man did it right. He didn't even resort to a huge banner years before the task was done. Go stand next to Trump and stomp your feet.
R.Scalzo.."I love you, man! These people(?) are just illuminating what we already know about them..they would be truly amusing if they weren't so dangerous..
@Rick2202433. Oh dude, don't worry about any of your fellow posters publicly humiliating you. From what i'm reading from you, no one is doing a better job of that than you yourself. You should go buy a keg, and cry in it.
Interesting... there were foreign media reports of a helicopter crash in Abbottabad with witness reports of gunfire and explosions around the same time the operation supposedly went down.
Yes we did, indeed!! Let's mop this thing up and bring our brave troops home. Congratulations to the intelligence services for the good work and for our Commander in Chief for helping get it done. This is good news for AMERICA!
wow unreal , years of work when into this and our men and women in the Military did the job . not Obama it works to cover up all the things he has screwed up so he can get votes that is all. where are the jobs? why is Fiat going to have coontrol over Mopar? more money going over seas , gas Prices at an all time high. troops in two war maybe 3 soon.
muglitt -- 2 wars and both were started by Bush and would have gone on had he still been president. Nobody is taking anything away from the armed forces and the intelligence community. They rock and worked their buts off.
But let's get this straight - under Bush Afghanistan (and Pakistan) were an afterthought compared to Iraq. As soon as Obama came into office Afghanistan and Pakistan were made the focal point of anti-terrorist actions.
So please get your head out - give credit where its due! The Armed forces and their leader, their Commander.
I did give credit where it was due , to the men and women who did the job , our armed forces and the intelligence commuity that did the work, work that they started way before Obama, you would have gave Obama credit if they would have got bin Laden 5 sec. after he took office. a lot of people work on this for years they are the ones who get the credit. they did the Work not Obama
muglitt...I can guess your personal opinion of President Obama from your posts. Think for one minute though... Pres. Obama did not have to continue the quest of hunting Bin Laden down and giving the kill order. Our President did a great job of maintaining and carrying out what the people of America yearned for.
I am a veteran and extremely proud to be an American, if I were in uniform, I would salute you Mr. President! Thank you to all my brothers and sisters in uniform who made this day possible!
Continue? Hell, Obama actually STARTED looking for Bin Laden, Shrubboy DELIBERATELY let him escape capture in 2003 so repubs would have a ready boogerman to scare credulous americans with on election day and then never even tried to find him for the rest of his occupation of the seat of government. The REAL search for Bin Laden started Jan 11 2009.
I am also Proud to be an American, they has been and still is a member of my family in the Military since the founding of this great Nation , I fact my nephew is on is 4 th tour of Afghanistan right now and has done tours in Iraq as well. so don't even try to play that card I am damn proud of the job he is doing as an EOD. and I don't recall Obama ever being in the military, easy to sit and give orders 1000's of miles out of harms way.
I'm with mug. All Obama did was run with a team that President Bush put in place. Obama had nothing to do with the slay and capture of BinLaden, but rather just the word to go get him. I don't really think any of this would have happened like it did if his bill of "not paying military personel" had been approved. He now realizes how valuable our military is.....well, I hope he does anyway. All he wants is a re-election, and sadly enough, it may work.
I agree with Mug and Gman - Obama did nothing but stall and procrastinate until it was nearly too late. Our military and intelligence personnel won the day on this. Obama is just pathetically using this as a means to get votes. You know he would have totally disavowed it if it had not been successful. Something was fishy about how he repeatedly kept reiterating in his speech about how he was the one who gave the order and he was the decision maker and he should be given credit for this - reminded me of Shakespeare and "the lady doth protest to much methinks". Mark my words, in the next few months we will probably start to hear about how hard it was for the military to get Obama to agree to proceed with the operation and how unwilling he was to authorize it without telling Pakistan the entire middle east first.
Why do I get this feeling that if a president other than Obama had been in office there wouldn't be all of this nay-saying? Presidents have ALWAYS gotten credit for successful military campaigns. Its the leaders who take the glory. Just a fact. Generals in presidents call the shots and reap the rewards. I'm not going to argue against the fact that's its the soldier on the ground doing the actual work. But lets not suddenly find the concept of giving our military leaders (which includes the President) credit as something out of the ordinary. The President is the one that gave the go ahead and took a chance Obama was actually there. So he, the Intelligence community, and the military all get credit.
If the Bush gang were still in power, American soldiers would be fighting in Iran right now. For the real boss, Cheney, it was all about business. Obama made finding Bin Laden a priority and he was found. End of story.
Obama did nothing but stall and procrastinate until it was nearly too late.
It took 7 years and 3 months for Bush to hunt for Bin Laden with no success. It took 2 years and 4 months for Bin Laden to be hunted down, after Obama took office.
As a retired U.S. Navy Veteran(21+yrs) served proudly. "To this Muglitt person, "Shut the F--K up please you Un-American Fool/Idiot! It's not the time to be criticising no one here. To all the Brave Men & Women that gave their lives in the battle and the one injured for life. I Salute you. To our Commander in Chief that gave the order to rid this beast we Salute you.
James spoken like a fool. i have no way of knowin if you are in or were ever in the US Navy , let alone if you have ever seen combat. but I dont think the US Navy teaches you to disrespect US citizens. I have nothing but respect for my Brothers and Sisters in Arms somthing you have yet to learn.
Obviously, with your expansive military background, you failed to learn how to respect the OFFICE of the President of the United States. You may not like him, but we were always taught (in the Army) to respect the person that sat in that chair. So, if the US Navy doesn't teach you to disrespect US citizens....I'm sure they also do NOT teach you to disrespect the Commander in Chief!! Get a life....I seriously doubt you have ANY military background (can you prove it---lol)?
Didi I seriously doubt that you have any Idea about anything . you are just a fool there are plenty in the military that feel the same way I do. respect for the office of the President of the United States of America I do have. I never said I did not respsect him , I said his is not doing that good of a job. and it is more important to remember that we have respect for all of what the U.S.A. stands for. and your telling me if Obama told are troops to gun down our own people you would still Respect him? and before you twist that into something else . the key world there was if. we as Americans have the right to disagree with anyone even the President. unlike the Gremans of the 30's and 40's or Didi do you disagree with that as well? Osama is dead this is a good thing I never said it wasnt did Obama do it ? should he get all the cerdit he is taking for it I say no. if you dont agree that is your right, as it is my right to disagree with you.
I agree with you muglitt, You do have the right to disagree with even the POUS and that does not make you anything other than a person who disagrees.
I think people posting here, are giving our president too much credit. ( I will say that he did act very decisivly given the information that he had from intelligence sources ) I would expect nothing less from our POUS ,,,
I still don't always agree with many of his policies and ideas for the direction for our country , and that's OK to disagree, because I'm an American
He will spend his eternity on the spirit trail, watching over and over again, the lives of every single individual he had murdered on 9/11. And through it all, he will never be allowed to face-or even know which way east is.
Mission accomplished! However, it remains to be seen if the U.S. military will close shop there and return home instead of increasing its sphere of influence to other theatres or countries deemed ''unworthy'' in a state of euphoria.Meanwhile, a ''silent invasion'' is in progress from Calderon's Mexico while the Obama White House is focused elsewhere on the world stage.
Mexico has only the second highest legal and illegal crossings of any "land" border in the world....number one "Canada"!!! Why do the racists love this site so much? probably cause their not happy unless they are antagonizing everyone.
This is the same type of propaganda the Third Reich used to whip up anti-Jewish sentiment. Racists of the early twentieth century also tried to whip up fear and loathing of the new Americans using that same "silent invasion" motto, claiming that Italians and Eastern Europeans were racially inferior, a blight on America, and culturally incapable of assimilation. 'Studies' were presented to Congress showing that 90% of all Jews and Russians were "morons" (the actual word used as a supposedly 'scientific descriptor').
Unauthorized immgration can only be solved by enacting rational immigration laws, which we do not have at present. Pandering to what Ronald Reagan derisevely decried as "anti-immigrant hysteria" is a disservice to America.
Unauthorized immgration can only be solved by enacting rational immigration laws, which we do not have at present.
And we never will with this current corrupt administration, especially with Odumma in charge doing anything he can to recapture lost votes, even if they are ILLEGAL voters.
That was the very purpose of it. America now wants to retreat from Afghanistan after wasting many years there and killing thousands of people. Unlike veitnam, this one is a nice retreat.
@KZNO2 haha the opium traders are on our side, look up the taliban's policy on heroin, and the orgins of the Northern Alliance (the rebel force that became the current government) and you'll find some surprising answers.
troop out of Iran into Afhganistan, out of Afhganistan into Lybia.
bail out the auto companies to have one taking over by Fiat this year that works. gas prices at all time high , no jobs, unenployment numbers are only down because McDonalds has 50,000 jobs and everyones unemployment ins. is running out so they stop looking, so the number drops. all this is is a way to get peoples mind off things so Obama can get his numbers up in the polls.
Muglitt...does ANYthing get through to you? This is a momentous day for America. Bin Laden has been a thorn in our side for damn near ten years! That's a long time for justice to be administered.
Sure, we have other problems, but my god, man, celebrate the victory in this little scenario. Every day he was alive was an embarrassment and a threat to America. We HAD to find him, kill him, and take away the head of the snake. Oh, he'll be glorified in parts of the Islam and Muslim worlds.
For ONE DAY we have a lead story that every American can read and say, "Finally, it's done. Bin Laden is dead." And believe me, it's no piece of cake to order people into harm's way, even for a mission like this. Those brave heroes, who'll likely never be publicly acknowledged because of the danger it would bring to THEIR homes, should share in the reward that's been offered for years for his death or capture.
Give it a rest! You can complain about everything else again tomorrow, but today, Osama Bin Laden is dead! And I LOVE that they just dumped him overboard like the trash he was. "Sleep with the fishes" mignt not be official American policy, but in this case, it's the perfect end to a tragic chapter in American history.
demdem you are the idiot, what has Obama fixed ? Fait taking over Chrysler this year, giving the banks , he gave money to GM who still pushes cars like the Vette, , and other gas hogs, after dumping Saturn which got better mgps. and the economy collapses to adjust it self every so many years. I know you think Obama can do no wrong and you will most likely be blaming Bush for things that go wrong in this country for the next 30 years because that is a cowards way out. "I didn't do it , was the other guy" but your the first to claim it if it is a good thing even if you had nothing to do with it. and by the way have you heard of spell check? loser!!!!!!!!
Chrysler hasn't been an independent company for YEARS. Meanwhile, GM was literally brought back from the dead, is paying BONUSES to WORKERS, and will be the WORLD"S BIGGEST PRODUCER OF VEHICLES this year. I'd say that's a pretty good outcome for the taxpayers' investment in GM. Oh, yeah, OUR DIVIDENDS and STOCK PRICE INCREASED too, so the taxpayers MADE MONEY off the deal.
Wait...so you're calling someone else out for spelling errors? Oh, the irony...what's an "mgp"? What's "Fait"? "Afhganistan"? Is "cowards" supposed to be a possessive pronoun without an apostrophe?
So anyway...you can't have it both ways. You can't argue that Obama isn't responsible for bin Laden's death because he didn't fire a gun, then argue that he's responsible for unemployment and high gas prices. After all, Obama isn't personally laying people off or setting the gas prices, either.
You do realize that a Corvette gets 16/26 mpg right? It gets 19 mpg combined according to fueleconomy.gov.
In 2009, when Saturn stopped building vehicles the most fuel efficient car they made was a Aura. It is the same vehicle as a Chevy Malibu which is still being built. A 2008 Saturn Vue (the little SUV) got 22 mpg combined. A 2011 Chevy Equinox gets 26 mpg combined.
Please do some research before you start spouting off "facts".
Is Fiat taking over Chrysler any worse when Mecedes did in 1998? Face it that company has been on life support for decades. It's their punishment for making crappy cars during the 80's, 90's and even into the millenium. We are not having record high gas prices as you claim, I remember higher under Bush Jr. Speaking of Bush Jr., you do realize he also bailed-out GM but the American taxpayers saw NONE of it back. Obama has steadily recreated the jobs that started disappearing in 2007 and 2008 under the previous administration when it was the Republicans deregulation of the banks and housing market that landed us in this mess to begin with.
BTW, don't insult someones spelling with that abomination of the English language you call your posts.
when Mecedes took over Chrysler they did not do it with Tax payers money. James, and the gas prices are at record highs if you watch the news you would know that. and is listed at 23mpg not 26 for the 2011 chevy Equinox the same as the 2010 Saturn Vue.
And neither did Fiat. I don't need Fox News to tell me about gas prices when I distinctly remember paying close to $5.00/gal under Bush and at this point my gas is a few cents shy of $4.00. $5 > $4
The 23 mpg on an Equinox is for All Wheel Drive which does match a Front Wheel Drive Vue. If you compare apples to apples the Equinox beats it by a sizeable margin.
All numbers from fueleconomy.gov with the smallest available engine:
Fair enough but your original claim was that they killed Saturn and push gas guzzlers now. I was illustrating the fact that the "gas guzzlers" that they are pushing are more fuel efficient than the vehicles which they replaced.
The equinox was redesigned in 2010. It is not the same vehicle it was in 2009. Saturn did not sell a rebadged Equinox whereas they did sell a rebadged Malibu (The Aura). To be fair, my assumption would be that if Saturn were still building vehicles that thwy would be virtually identical to what Chevy is building now. A good example of this would be the Equinox and the GMC Terrain or the Traverse and the GMC Acadia. The exterior sheet metal/chrome/interiors are different but mechanically they are identical.
I am of the opinion that there should be no Chevy and GMC. I think there should be one badge with multiple packages but I don't run GM and people smarter than me have reasons for this.
This is about getting Osama...lets be greatful for that if it is fact.
...but just to point out something on this gas mileage debate... I own a Vue...and for an SUV it gets way better gas mileage then any car I have owned. I average 28 city/32 highway mpg. Our family prefers to take that vehicle on most of our trips because of its efficiency and we fuel up less often then we have to with the car.
I own a Vue as well (2008 XR w/3.6l 6cyl) and I don't get anywhere near that. More like 18/22 for me, I am not complaining as I upgraded (if that is the right word) from a '05 EXT Trailblazer that was lucky to get 15 on the highway.
I am not trying to say that the Saturn was a poor automobile or that it got bad fuel mileage. I was just trying to point out the flawed information that was being purported as fact.
"We are assuring it is handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition," an official said. "We take this very seriously. This is being handled in an appropriate manner"-
Yes, TexasArmadillo. The other advantage of having done it so quickly is that not only can we lay claim to having respected the practice/tradition we are not faced with the issue of a demand for his body by various groups, etc -- the body is gone. Additionally, the burial at sea in an undisclosed location prevents a shrine at his resting place that could further his status of martyrdom.
True. Unfortunately the shrine will probably be at the location where he was dispatched from the face of the earth. Personally, I could care less if his idiot followers consider him a martyr. Any person with a modicum of intelligence who is not infected by radical Islam knows the world is better off without him here!
Haha WOW. I don't think you could get any deeper in that turtle right there Javidibe. Once again the President will take credit for something he didn't do and the brain washed American public will bite on it just like the do with every political candidate when it comes election time. O there going to lower taxes, they will bring our troops home? Has it happened yet??? Last I saw they raised taxes n our troops are still overseas. Its all propaganda, whatever it takes to get votes.
I can see Javidbe going far in the corporate world, cause he is a corporate a$$ kisser. Now I just wonder how long this is going to take to get banned or negative commented on, but guess what who care. I'm sick of everyone looking at the President like he is a major American Hero, when he hasn't done squat but make things worse than it already was.
I would like to thank the President for his leadership on taking this country on I-5 South and going straight to Mexico, because we couldn't of done it without you. Just so you liberals don't bash me as much as I know your going to. OOOO he is a Republican, of course he would say that. I actually hate all politics, both sides are full of it. I'm just sick of everyone ridding his nuts like he is Jordan and its game 7 in the NBA finals.
I do agree that our men n women in our military services have and will always do an outstanding job protecting everyone back home. For that I give everyone out there in the military and who is no longer in the military the support they deserve.
Ya, let's blame the President for everything bad that happens in this country, but not give him praise when something good happens! YA! 1-way streets are awesome! Ya!
real thatguyjerz, it is all his doing right? the high gas prices, fiat having control over Mopar, no jobs , the US falling apart,,the fact that this happens when he really needs a boost in the polls , all has nothing to do with it, I bet you Blamed Bush when he was in , that right is is a one way street.
muglitt - high gas prices happened during Bush's time in office too. Touche' on the Blamed Bush part though!
Proud - are you a senior or uninsured, or do you have family returning from the Iraq or Afghanistan wars OR not having to go to Libya to fight, or do you get paid (read: tax cuts), or the fact that you're Not worse off because Depression part 2 was prevented. Obama has done these things among others to serve you.
Perhaps this is a good time to take from Bush a very helpful quote - history will judge Obama correctly!
funny you would bring up Libya whome Doyou. not two weeks after the bombing by Nato they started taking about putting US ground forces in. and the unisured crap is just that . Obama care is a joke, telling you you have to buy it or else . what are they going to tell you you have to do next? and why are they getting paid when the counrty in going deeper in the red? if you own a company and that company is not making money do you get paid?
Going from losing 850,000 jobs a month to over 200,000 in gains is a huge deal, but no braindead tea bagger would give him credit for that, would they.
That's what leaders do. If they will get all the blame for failures, they should get the credit for successes.
If the mission was a failure and our brave special forces were captured or killed, who do you think would get the blame? It wouldn't be the men in uniform.
yes a going from good paying factory jobs to McD's at 7.25 an hr. how many of those jobs are part time fast food jod? like the 50,000 McD's is adding. summer time jobs at fast food places that will help a lot wont it.
Come On.....you knew obama would be the one to kill off bin laden, when it comes to destroying america he will tolerate no competition...even from his own side.
no he did not but he was in the Navy as was his Father , and if is funny that you would say bad argument. no one siad anything about race. but you palying the race card because you cant think of anything else.
You would think that the patriotic chest thumping conservatives would be the first ones to celebrate today's news. Normally they would. They did when Saddam was killed. So, what's the difference now??? Obama takes the credit. So, their job will be to try to put everything on the shoulders of anyone but the president who helped coordinate this thing with the intelligence agencies from the beginning. If you marched with Bush during his smoke em out rants, you should be able to march with Obama to. I guess hating Obama comes first no matter what the circumstances. I wonder why.
that is funny chris I recall the images of the troops pulling Saddam out of the hole he was in and taking him alive, and Osama if I recall the report only had two men with him and were not that well arms , yet they killed him why not take him alive ?and put him on tv. to show the world.
@ muglitt - Saddam was unarmed. Osama was armed. It's very difficult to take someone alive who doesn't want to be. The military did right in killing him where he stood. I'm glad they killed him instead of him killing one of them trying to take him alive.
they have know where he was since last Aug. why drag your feet so long 9 mos is a long time to wait. dont you think? oh lets see that would hav been to close to the mid trems.
This is a *great* day for our country. Our problems are far from over, but this is certainly a bit of sunshine in an otherwise overcast day.
As for Obama: No, he didn't "get" Osama. Our troops did. And after many false starts and failures, our intelligence network once again proved it was capable of greatness.
I'm a Republican, but I would say the above regardless which politician's posterior warmed the Resolute Desk. No one in a tie had anything to do with this great day...it was all camo and ammo: our beloved American troops.
I will judge our current president on what he directly controls (or should control): our economy and the overall direction of the country.
I didn't give Bush any credit for good news he didn't make, and I won't do it with our current president, either.
I am at a loss for words after reading some of these comments bashing each other! How pathetic that people old enough to comment on this article aren't mature enough to not argue with each other like children. There are many people that need to get credit for this great accomplishment, not just one person. Get past the fact that people do not always share the same views and rejoice in the fact that this mission was finally accomplished! Thank you to everyone involved!
That cracker Shelby from Alabama just could not brin himself to say anything positive about Obama this morning yet tried to take credit for this himself. He had been on a committee in the past that had something to do with security and he said it was the result of his work. Ain't that just like a Republican?
I know we can't do it..but would love to see him hangng from his dead a** feet (upside down) from the Statue of Liberty facing Manhattan where the Twin Towers were.
thank you President Obama? for what? he was asleep in his bed when this was going on. did he put his life on the line? it is just to make you forget about what is going on in this counrty right now to make him look good. what about the high gas prices, no jobs, Fiat taking over Chrysler, oh that is right McDonalds is hiring 50,000 new jobs, that will get things going.
You know, repeating the same things over and over again does not make them true.
What about high gas prices genius? It's called supply and demand, economics 101. What do YOU propose to do to lower gas prices? Drill baby drill? That's laughable.
Jobs? Well, where are the job bills the Republicans ran on in 2010? Has there been one piece of jobs legislation coming from the Republican controlled House? Nope. Too busy worrying about the President's birth certificate.
hey Mikeo76 what happen when the Dems. had it all for two years genius? they had the House, the Sen. and the Wihte House and did what about jobs? oh that is right you cant see past the last 6 mos. or so. and the answer is easy on the gas prices the auto companies have the tech to get way more then 35-40 mpg but they wont they even rub it in your face everyday but you cant see it. a 1.0L engine getting 45 mpg and a 5.7L getting almost 30mpg how stupid do you have to be do the math. and supply and demand works in more ways then one, if you limit the supply you control the price, or did we learn nothing from the the 70's so called gas shortage. it is the people like you who act like nothing more then sheep who think that they said it so it must be right. I never said I am for the Dem. or Rep. party you just assumed that.
One more time, Muglitt. Killing one man does not fix all the things that are wrong in this country. Yes, we have serious issues, but I'm real glad you're not one of the decision makers.
There's layer upon layer upon layer to this whole "situation" the US is in. Busines in responsible. Government is responsible. Too much control, not enough control. Prices too high, but far cheaper than most of the rest of the world. At least here, dissidents and idiots like you can have your say and no secret police is gonna come get you in the night, never to be seen again.
APPRECIATE, for one day, that the US military, who work for the Commander-in-Chief, like it or not, executed perfectly the orders that came FROM the President. "Find Bin Laden. Kill him." They did their duty, make their country proud and no amount of whining by you about everything else is going to keep me from truly marking this as a "significant day" in the US. Bin Laden has been the hardest man to find in history, and we finally GOT that SOB!
To me, that is cause for celebration. For you, it's obviously just something else you can butt in on to rant about everything else wrong with YOUR personal little world. Friend...ain't about YOU! Today is a day for all Americans to be proud of their country, their might, our determination and our resolve. Quit beating a dead horse. It'll still be there tomorrow.
if you recall Bush Gave the Order to find Bin Laden and Kill him , they didnt stop looking for him when Obama took over so your point is meaningless, and as I recall the US military works for the Commander-in-Chief who in fact works for the people of the U.S.A. and I never said I was not happy they got him. I just think it is wrong to give credit to Obama for it. it was a standing order before he took office.
What is funny about you, muglitt, is that you are a walking, talking contradiction. You are more than willing, anxious in fact, to give blame for all of the negative things that have occurred during Obama's time in office to him- yet you are fighting to your last breath that he is not due any of the credit for the good. You can't have it both ways. Either he is responsible for things or he isn't.
As a 24 year USAF Vet I must say you couldn't have said it any better. I am not voting for Obama in 2012 but I am not too partisan that I can't give him credit for the obvious. Of course kudos to my fellow servicemembers who like always have done a superb job. I am so proud to be an American.
And if you recall muggy, shrubboy gave the order DELIBERATELY allowing Bin Laden to escape from Bora Bora in 2003, because he made such an excellent boogerman for repubs during elections. Shrubby then reduced our military presence in Afghanistan, FORBADE border crossings into Pakistan and proceeded to search for and fight Bin Laden in IRAQ over a THOUSAND MILES WEST of where the man actually was.
Every single action taken by shrubboy shows someone who was DELIBERATELY SABOTAGING any effort to get Bin Laden, most likely for domestic political concerns, ie winning elections.
Web Rydr glad to hear your a USAF vet , I have 3 gen. of USAF in my family including one who is in there now he has been in there since 2003 as an EDO my Father was in Korea in B29s and what is funny they agree with me. I am proud to be an American. and as soon as Obama does some good I will give him cerdit. so far he has done nothing. he had no choice but to say to get Bin Laden , waht do you think would of happen if he said dont? it would hit the news and then what? he had no choice the choice was made for him.
All that military background and when it comes to the fact that had Obama not taken us away from Iraq and put the focus on Osama and afghanistan Osama would most probably still be alive you remain totally ignorant? Such a shame, truly a total shame.
Kinda pathetic that we can't even stop the political one upsmanship for one day to celebrate a great military success. Bush got the ball rolling, Obama kept it going and the troops did one hell of a job to make this amazing day happen and ya'll can't stop the finger pointing and just be happy for a day? Seriously?
it sure is sad something good finally happens to this GREAT COUNTRY and all people can do is bitch. if you have such a problem on how things are done here go to Mexico you piece of @!$%#. why the hell are you bitching about who should get credit everyone should get credit. why should only the one group get it there are a lot more people who should get credit. Obama could have said pull on the soldiers home and everyone would have been happy for a week than we have another 9/11. but no we stayed and now Osama is dead. Thank God for everyone that is fighting, who will be, and who has. GOD BLESS USA.
by the way i hope all you damn cry babies do go to mexico im sick of paying for you to live. go get a damn job there are alot out there. just stop being so @!$%#ing lazy. No jobs my ass
Peggy Noonan is the most stupid person I have ever heard. I just saw where she is saying to declassify the operation and march the hero warriors that took Bin Laden in front of the camera too prove this actually happen. So she wants to tell the terrorist who did this so they attack this hero's families. What a douche bag? She also must be drinking Trumps kool-aid.
You are right, unfortunately there are some people so determined to discredit our President that statements like Noona's are not surprising. Obviously, the last thing in the world we should do is parade the troops that participated in the raid and make them and their families targets of what remains of Al Qaeda.
Thank you Mr. President!
Long live Obama! Long burn Osama!
This is the result of excellent work by countless men and women in many countries, up to and including the President ofthe United States of America, who made it a priority and made sure the resources were available.
Thank you one and all! The world is a better place without bin Laden.
way to go troops. good job.
yes, thank you to all those who didn't give up the search...America can now begin to heal
But either way, nice that he has assumed room temperature.
his rating will go up slightly butt in a few weeks is when this country is in huge trouble.
Good work by our men and women in the armed forces to killing the coward.

Yipppeee! God Bless America! And God Bless the person who took the kill shot! You are America's greatest hero!
and Just like that, obama is getting the bull@!$%# paise he doesn't deserve.
God bless this country
Great work Intel and SEALS! Thanks for giving the "GO" Mr. Obama.
I'm a little disgusted at the celebrations I see over Bin Ladens death. Kind of reminds me of the celebrations we all saw in the Middle East on 9/11. He's dead, we "won", now let's act like the civilized people are are supposed to be and not celebrate in the streets like a Palestinian street mob.
Buried at sea, gotta love that one tho!
It is something to CELEBRATE. Bin Laden was no innocent by-stander.
The Article said:

Thank you Obama, our next president and multiple winner of the Nobel Peace prize.
Yes, thank you Presidents Bush and Obama. Bush for Gauntanamo and using the enhanched interrogations to get the infromation from the captured terrorists and Obama for allowing the military to act on that information.

But then again I'm not going to play conspiracy theorist on this news (nor with Clinton's or Bush's actions) unless I see conflicting news from Pakistani news sources as well.

On Friday, the president gave the order.
I knew when I signed on that the Obama haters and conspiracies nuts would be here in full force but some of the hate for our president is so disgusting as to force me to ask the one on charge of this page to remove them from commenting for a long time.

They dumped the body just off the coast of Kenya.
Finally!
The idiots on here who suggest Obama did this to enhance his re-election chances are totally braindead. Dear MSNBC,
Your moderators appear very biased on this issue, and collapsing comments only makes me want to read them more!
At least Obama can truly say "Mission Accomplished" and it's not just empty words like Bush used to deceive this country.

Marv,
You are absolutely right.
Probably this:
Cut it out, Megalodon-358694. Don't make it personal.
Sheesh, Tyler....really?
Look, I certainly do not often agree with Megalodon's ideology, and he is likely well aware of this.....but to chastise him for "kool aid fans" seems pretty knee-jerk to me! Like the time you shut down a poster for writing about "rabid right wingers".......C'mon!
This forum is one of the best to deliver one's opinion on controversial matters. It also happens to be one of the best self-regulated forums around. The other writers on this forum do a pretty good job of keeping one another in check.

They still could have brought him back, put him on some sort of display, and dumped him later. Getting rid of the body quickly served only one purpose.

Thank you for making such a common sense observation and the eloquence with which you presented it.
if this board is a slice of america, i'm worried about our future.
Sure, okay. And what should I call you people who believe anything The Donald and Sarah Palin tell you?
Sheep. I don't trust them either.
For all the doubters who can't admit that you've been wrong about Obama twice in two weeks: He was born in Honolulu and he was involved with the planning, and gave the order, to capture/kill Bin Laden.
And if anyone wants to collapse comments refering to kool-aid, PLEASE DO!
Denial, denial, denial. The defense of someone who just can't accept the obvious.

00:01:27,600 --> 00:01:29,720
The guards won't let you leave.
odd... i have 4 acres of land outside my house. i live in the country in a town most people never heard of unless they are from around here, at the end of a dead end road. i can honestly say i would have been more than happy for them to drop him in a hole in this yard, no marker, no anything, and cover him with dirt. i would have no need to dig him up, to point to people where he is, none of that. can pretty much count having a shrine for him out as well. if needed i would make sure rather than fill the septic tank any more than needed, to be sure to water the ground in that one spot as often as possible to make sure the grass will grow faster over the frsh dug ground, and if they put in some turf, id water and fertilise that as well. when the bank does finally take this place in june, the guy across the street plans on buying the land, tearing down the house and whats left of the barn, and growing crops as well. pretty much no trace of the lad.
be it they did actually kill OBL, did toss him off the side of a ship, i would hope they spent a few minuted trying to free him from the ships propeller at full forward speed ahead.
to some of you. it isnt a matter of accepting something Nobama the Clown was a part of. it a matter of being lied to time after time, till you dont believe anything that comes from his mouth anymore. kind of like the boy who cried wolf. it isnt because he is black. he is only 1/2 black, rest is white, and i more think of him as a white man than a black man anyway.
In agreement
Where were we wrong about Obomba? Ever heard of Adobe Illustrator?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s9StxsFllY
Any 15 year old kid with a computer can clearly see he was lying about the alleged birth certificate. And this? Why get rid of the body so quickly? Osama has been dead for years. They just didn't want to tell us because there is way too much money to be made in war. What do you want to bet, the war is not over?
"Where there is confusion, there is profit."
You can't be serious. Why in the world would we bury Osama Bin Laden in your back yard?
Many thanks to our armed forces, the CIA, and the spec op teams that made the assault. Also to their families who live with them through their jobs.
And now Jimmy Carter sits back and thinks to himself-"I am no longer the worst President in history."
Like the military would have stopped if Obama said no. And I am not prejudice I don't like Biden either.
Well done!
Sould have gotten a Post Office Box in a rural area like most cheaters do, or some one way pigeons. 'I' m just saying!' I've never done that.
Not too hung up on conspiracies, eh?
nor is a freind of mine who voted, and up until now would have tickled hit butt cheeks with his whiskars, however today he's a bit.... well lets say he has no faith left in the Clown. makes no real sence.
Bin Laden was no Muslim and he does not deserve to be buried as a Muslim
<\He's not like the Muslims I know, but let's burry him as one to avoid problems. Not worth the conflict.
Bin Laden was a blasphemous muharibun who preached murder and blamed God for it. He will answer on the last day.
With such a disdain for swine, why not feed the corpse to a pen full of hungry hogs.
why punish the Hogs? ...I am calling RETA! (smiles)
Should've been buried in a sea of pig's blood IMO.
Why bother shooting him before feeding him to the pigs? Just bind him and let the piggies do the work! Actually kind of bummed with what they did with the body. I had been hopeful to spit on his corpse for the last 11 years.
Osama presented himself as a Islamic radical and terrorist face. He was an inspiration to jihadis.
How many moderate Muslims, clerics or even Islamic scholars countered him and declared fatwa on him?
Here Pakis are also guilty for sheltering him and other top Taliban and al-Qaeda leaders.
He should be buried with pigs meat and in future all jihadis should be buried along with pig meat or pig spray to clean a place.
flash3: Funny how you want a picture of his dead body but yet you blindly accept that Osama was killed.
It's also funny that you don't question the dumping of the body into the ocean. Is dumping bodies into the ocean military protocol?
Stuff him with bacon and feed him to the hogs.
I don't believe any of it. And even if it's true, ten years, three wars, trillions wasted, millions killed... nothing to be proud of.
I wonder who the next Emmanuel Goldstein will be.
The added plus of having disposed of his body is we deny at least part of their ability to make a martyr of him by not allowing them to have a body to build a shrine around.
off the back of the USS COLE would be fitting
hmmm, moe than fishy to me. they couldnt find a country to take his body? seriously!? i dont know, i think im going to have to call bullsh!t on this one till some real actual proof comes into play here. i dont see the US not wanting this body.
@BOHICA.....
he was made a martyr as soon as he fired a bullet and he was killed if thats the case. he was a one as well i think no matter his demise even if he died in his sleep, just the way it is....
Thunderproof: Why would you want to poison hogs? (smile) Just dump him like trash into the ocean.
A great victory for our troops, our special forces, our country, and our President!
Right on!!!!!
@Beth,
this not the year 1519, and there are means of transporting someone to the US well within a 24 hr time frame.... so, with this type of technology we have today.... i cant say im going to buy your burial at sea excuse. like anyone who has a doubt now about this, i see a lot of things lacking here...
right next to a military acadamy, no action from them when choppers come "swooping in" about 40 minutes worth of gun battle playing out....still nothing? set the entire compound ablaze basically next to a military acadamy, no fire teams show up? how would they know it wasnt a dorm or what have you? no calls to police from residents in the area..."hey there are troops shooting up this guys house"?
Obama made one mistake? your funny!
I read that he has been buried at sea. Goodby Mr bin Laden; good riddance.
Muslim? None that I know.
Laugh today. Cry tomorrow. Nothing has changed.
Something doesn't sound quite right.
How many moderate Muslims, clerics or even Islamic scholars countered him and declared fatwa on him?
Millions and millions but American news is all about telling us what we want to hear so it gets virtually no news coverage.
I can't stand Obama but you're right. Good post.
I don't much care for the media either, Chopswell. Having said that, you can probably take off your tinfoil hat now.
Am I the only one who thinks bin Laden should've been tried here in the US and then been given the death penalty? Every doubt would've been removed.
He was buried at sea within 24 hours, which is a very good compromise between respect for Muslim traditions and ignominious disposal.
Now, he has no place left to hide.
1)www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=18923
2) www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=20010912&articleId=368
Ha ha!!! I keep having the Robin Williams bit going through my head ever since last night.......
LOL.... good times
Rorschach, I sure hope so. Don't get me wrong, I want to see the guy dead like 300 mill of fellow Americans. Emphasis on see.
"Just the facts, ma'am, just the facts......"
@ Sandy-504854...
I guess all of you demanding a photo aren't real familiar with Photoshop.
Hopefully they were smart enough to shoot some real film as well.
Beth - you wrote a very intelligent post in 2.66.
I have no idea where some of these people are coming from with their conspiracy theories.
And thanks for letting me know about Hitler and conspiracies. It makes perfect sense.
Good job military, good job! And, thank you!!!
The one key factor to the success of this mission was keeping a tight lid on sharing information.
Yes I agree.
I think it's great, how Bin Laden was face to face with our military when he was killed. He had to see our military as his last vision.
USA!
Hey naysayers. Im sure post mortem pictures were snapped. Due to security protocol(s) they probably havent been released yet. Just cool your jets.
And don't forget to save the finished product as one file so that the layers are not visible.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7s9StxsFllY
I love that he was chucked overboard. It makes total sense to just get rid of his once and for all. No place for terrorists to make a shrine. I just hope the was thrown towards the West and not East.
Ben - I was in Afghanistan for a while. To take this figurehead and put him in a place that is inaccessible is brilliant. To have his body would mean so much to his followers. These people would protect that area like no other.I know terror will not stop. There are just too many power hungry murderers in the world, like Afghanistan. The Taliban leaders should be next and I bet they are freaking out.
Ben - Give it a rest tool!!
Yeaaahhhhhh, USA = WINNING!!!
@My Fellow Americans - I meant to post my reply on the previous thread to stop the partisanship started up there because I'm on the same wave length as you. If you read what the first line of that thread says, you'll know what I'm talking about. So my bad for scrolling too far accidentally.
:)
At least Obama can truly say "Mission Accomplished" unlike Bush's empty words used to deceive this country.
Gneisenau
You're right, it would be insane to fake this unless Osama were already dead, which he is. They've kept this war alive for years looking for a dead guy. Now it's time to cash in some political points. Conveniently getting rid of the body is just the icing on the cake.
CalifGina
What are we "winning"?
Look at it another way:
If the police said they shot a criminal and then cremated him within hours, would you be suspicious? I am.
Kristian,
In a heartbeat. Not the country, not our soldiers, citizens or anyone on this board. But the people that are pulling the strings behind this puppet president, you better believe it. If it serves their agenda, they'll say anything they can get away with.
And as far as I know, we haven't heard from bin laden for a long time.
American Girl-724855,
What channel were you watching when you saw Dick Cheney trying to take credit for this?
I watched MSNBC during Chris Matthews' segment, and Cheney gave Obama and his intelligence people a big kudos and thanked them for a job well done. Even Matthews--a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat and Cheney hater--was surprised and complimentary of Cheney's remarks.
So I'm curious: where did you see him try to steal President Obama's thunder on this?
Thank you very much. This is a good new!
While justice may have been served, there still remains much more justice to be doled out.
God's blessings to each and every one of our brave service men and women and their families.
This is just a beginning.
Sunni Islamic radicalism, terrorism and their supporters have wrecked havocs all over the world.
Here Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are primarily guilty.
Till all of them are punished, justice will not be done to the millions affected.
Today, Osama Bin Laden sleeps with the fish.
Destroyer 4.5
If you could comprehend even a little of what you read, you may one day be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. I’ll go a little slower just for you.
I said it’s the left wing whack jobs that would dispute Bin laden’s demise, not me.
Got it?
This shows that Allah will not allow evil men to soil his name. Bin Laden was no muslim and Allah will judge him for his blasphemous crimes.
May Allah bless our Armed Forces!
There is only one true God and he is known by many names. Yahweh, Allah, and God are three different names for the Same God in three different languages. Good night and God Bless everyone.

Allah and God are one and the same, Allah is the Arabic word for God.
That body should not have been dropped in the ocean, it should have been propped up on a pole and paraded through the streets for all to see!!!
I understand the sentiment, but that's not how we do things in this country.
AP: I agree.....why should we stoop to their level. That's what Al Queda would do with American prisoners, but we're better than that!!!
Pretty good day to be an American. USA, Yes we can!
God Bless America!
Way to go Obama.
Allah Akbar!!!
Great job SEAL Team 6 and the guys from the Company. Now we focus on #2, the cleric from Egypt.
Im sure it was most likely a JSOC element but since SEALS are the limelight of the SO community, DevGru gets all the credit.
Er .. did you get past the headline? Even to the photo? He was NOT hiding in a cave. He was in a compound near the capital of Pakistan (which leads to other issues to be discussed later) that was probably build JUST to hide him!
Delta and DevGru probably pulled it off. Also i personally think ,even though its probably wrong, that the Pakistani government built it for him.
Wonderful news! God bless our armed forces!!
Allah Akbar!!!
Live by the gun and die by the gun.
Ding dong the witch is dead!
LMAO!
Wrong...Body was totally examined by Miltary doctors and DNA evidence was gathered.....Then he became fish food.
Obama must release the >long< form of Osama's death certificate!
YES WE CAN - DAMN RIGHT WE CAN!!!!
lol commensense I was singing that earlier about this story
@ Deathers -
We are awaiting the long form from the mortuary with your name on it. Please don't post an obituary picture because you must be as ugly as you have been sounding about a MAN you've never even met. I 've never met you but, that's a good thing.
Well I don't think the Pakistan Observer is a credible source for anything but government propaganda (they've carried these reports many times in the last decade), but you go ahead and believe whatever is printed there.
I want to see who gets the $25M bounty.
@R Scalzo..
"Ya Think" ?? Isn't it just mind-boggling? You actually can't believe what some of these hater's come up with..or..what they actually believe..just nothing short of frightening that they live amongst us..WOW
Wonderful job by our men and women in the military and intelligence services! Congratulations!!
Congratulations to all involved. Way to go President Obama.
wha did Obama do? nothing hell has he ever been in the military, or the CIA? nope it is just timing to try and get votes.
muglitt you seriously got something stuck... but nonetheless I hope you're enjoying the moment as an american brought to you courtesy of the one the only President Obama!
again it was not him on the ground risking his life, or you for that matter. nor did he find him , he did nothing . do you think it is going to matter in a month when people wake up and see there are still no jobs, all time high gas prices, and no end in sight.
mug:
Stop grandstanding and trying to be contrary. You're a minority opinion with little value. Now, keep eating those bitter grapes one at time.
coach mcguirk didnt not know there was a poll taken that show me a minority for one. and as for the little value thing I guess that is something to wait and see .
Mug, STFU.
"What did he exactly do?" He gave the order to proceed, which only the Commander in Chief can do!! That is what President Obama did.
@ Bradley-3074604
What rhymes with "rick"?
Pathetic troll.
Don't bother; if the second coming happened while Obama was in office, his followers would be crediting that to him as well.
Let's hope he isn't reelected... anyone with the audacity to question or criticize him will end up in Guantanamo.
He succeeded, so why not congratulate him.
euturpe [q]
Interesting... there were foreign media reports of a helicopter crash in Abbottabad with witness reports of gunfire and explosions around the same time the operation supposedly went down.
ya.. our troops destroyed that helicopter coz of mechanical probs..
YES WE DID!!!
GOOOO, President Obama!!!!!! THANKS to the US Navy Seals and all the brave men & women who protects and bring justice!!!!!
YES, WE CAN!!! YES, WE WILL!!! YES, WE DID!!!
YES, WE WILL AGAIN --OBAMA 2012!!!!!!
I don't think that a political side can take credit for this ,,,
If the Bush gang were still in power, American soldiers would be fighting in Iran right now. For the real boss, Cheney, it was all about business. Obama made finding Bin Laden a priority and he was found. End of story.
It took 7 years and 3 months for Bush to hunt for Bin Laden with no success. It took 2 years and 4 months for Bin Laden to be hunted down, after Obama took office.
Who exactly was stalling?
Notice the same ones that claim to respect the military claim they are frauds by faking the operation. Some people show stupidity that defies belief.
If these naysaying fools keep up their bombastic nonsensical unamerican pontifications for too long, we might have to trot out the T word.
I am not a real religious scholar. Are there lower places in hell to accomodate this guy?
Oh, I'd say he merits one next to Hitler, Stalin and the Devil himself!!! Is that low enough???
Even worse, he is now in an endless void of nothingness
He's fish food. My apologies to the fish.
@ Coach - I don't know if I would call him fish food. I doubt even the sharks could stomach him. At best you could call him fish vomit.....
I hope so
He will spend his eternity on the spirit trail, watching over and over again, the lives of every single individual he had murdered on 9/11. And through it all, he will never be allowed to face-or even know which way east is.
Good Job America!
Obama has put more border control agents on the ground, between the U.S. and Mexico, than any president in history. Get a clue hater!
Mexico has only the second highest legal and illegal crossings of any "land" border in the world....number one "Canada"!!! Why do the racists love this site so much? probably cause their not happy unless they are antagonizing everyone.
Spoken like a true bigot.
Meanwhile, a ''silent invasion'' is in progress
Unauthorized immgration can only be solved by enacting rational immigration laws, which we do not have at present.
And we never will with this current corrupt administration, especially with Odumma in charge doing anything he can to recapture lost votes, even if they are ILLEGAL voters.
Put his head on a pike and plant the pike in Tripoli for the other nut to see.
LOL!
love this christian nation "thing" you got going on.
BIN LADEN DEAD -OBAMA ORDERS TROOPS OUT OF AFGHANISTAN
Now there's a headline we'd love to write.
As great news as that would be, isn't there things like opium trafficking and remaining terrorists in Afghanistan that need to be dealt with first?
The Taliban will take care of the opium problem just as they had done before our invasion.
As far as the other Al Qaeda terrorists. Maybe we could lure them all into a viewing of Bin Laden's body, and then take care of them all at once.
LOL I vote for that
That was the very purpose of it. America now wants to retreat from Afghanistan after wasting many years there and killing thousands of people. Unlike veitnam, this one is a nice retreat.
@KZNO2 haha the opium traders are on our side, look up the taliban's policy on heroin, and the orgins of the Northern Alliance (the rebel force that became the current government) and you'll find some surprising answers.
i agree!!!!
troop out of Iran into Afhganistan, out of Afhganistan into Lybia.
bail out the auto companies to have one taking over by Fiat this year that works. gas prices at all time high , no jobs, unenployment numbers are only down because McDonalds has 50,000 jobs and everyones unemployment ins. is running out so they stop looking, so the number drops. all this is is a way to get peoples mind off things so Obama can get his numbers up in the polls.
muglitt you are an idiot !!! the econonomy collapsed under Bush in 2008--
remember !! Obama has been trying to fix this mess ever since taking office.
so when you blame him for everything you are reaaly burying your head in
the sand. wake up loser !!!!
Be talkin' to you..................Webrydr
demdem you are the idiot, what has Obama fixed ?
@muglitt
2009 Vue AWD 16 city/23 highway/18 Combined.
2011 Equinox AWD 20 city/ 29 Highway/23 Combined. 5mpg (27.7% better)
2009 Vue FWD 19 city/26 highway/22 Combined.
2011 Equinox FWD 22 city/32 highway/26 Combined. (18.2% better)
Once again, lets compare apples to apples.
you are not comparing apples to apples as you put it kestin a 2009 to a 2011 why dont you campare the 2009 to a 2009 or even a 2010 to a 2010 ?
Can we get a copy editor on this article?
"We are assuring it is handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition," an official said. "We take this very seriously. This is being handled in an appropriate manner"-
SAY WHAT?
Still have to worry sbout being PC.Ridiculous.
Having a disdain for swine - Perhaps justice can be further served by feeding the corpse to hogs
Why do that to a pig? I say take acid over his body after we burn it!
To deny him the virgins they think are awaiting in the afterlife!
anally impale him on a flag pole....and let the flies eat this piece of crap
We are assuring it is handled in accordance with Islamic practice and tradition
Does that mean his wife and kids will be sold into slavery?
My guess is that we handled the body with respect in order to maintain the difference between us and the thugs we are fighting.
Thank you Mr. President Obama for your leadership and thank you to all our service members of the military.
Ya!
real thatguyjerz, it is all his doing right? the high gas prices, fiat having control over Mopar, no jobs , the US falling apart,,the fact that this happens when he really needs a boost in the polls , all has nothing to do with it, I bet you Blamed Bush when he was in , that right is is a one way street.
show us something good the president has done and maybe he will get a thank you. The best thing he could do for this country is step down
muglitt - high gas prices happened during Bush's time in office too.
Why thank Obama for what our trained soldiers did? Obama didn't rush the compund with AR-16 in hand! You make no sense at all.
AR-16? ok M-4 maybe
You can't have it both ways.
yes a going from good paying factory jobs to McD's at 7.25 an hr. how many of those jobs are part time fast food jod? like the 50,000 McD's is adding. summer time jobs at fast food places that will help a lot wont it.
Come On.....you knew obama would be the one to kill off bin laden, when it comes to destroying america he will tolerate no competition...even from his own side.
If you hate America so much, why don't you leave?
Take as many Faux News viewers as you can fit in your pick up truck with you, moron.
Hey gene & muglitt--did Bush fight in Iraq or Afghanistan? Bad argument, racists. Get a clue.
no he did not but he was in the Navy as was his Father , and if is funny that you would say bad argument. no one siad anything about race. but you palying the race card because you cant think of anything else.
muglitt; Please return the koolaid cup you've drank way to much
You would think that the patriotic chest thumping conservatives would be the first ones to celebrate today's news.
Geoff1986, you're suspended for a day for violating #1 of the Code of Honor.
Christopher-459213, you are suspended for a week for violating rule # 1 and # 5 of the Code of Honor...all over the place.
Stop with the personal attacks and anti-Semitic remarks.
This is an awesome report:)
I second this too Richard!
Yes...that's exactly what I said, too.
I thoroughly agree! Thank you President Obama!
thank you President Obama? for what? he was asleep in his bed when this was going on. did he put his life on the line? it is just to make you forget about what is going on in this counrty right now to make him look good. what about the high gas prices, no jobs, Fiat taking over Chrysler, oh that is right McDonalds is hiring 50,000 new jobs, that will get things going.
Please get a clue.
hey Mikeo76 what happen when the Dems. had it all for two years genius? they had the House, the Sen. and the Wihte House and did what about jobs? oh that is right you cant see past the last 6 mos. or so. and the answer is easy on the gas prices the auto companies have the tech to get way more then 35-40 mpg but they wont they even rub it in your face everyday but you cant see it. a 1.0L engine getting 45 mpg and a 5.7L getting almost 30mpg how stupid do you have to be do the math. and supply and demand works in more ways then one, if you limit the supply you control the price, or did we learn nothing from the the 70's so called gas shortage. it is the people like you who act like nothing more then sheep who think that they said it so it must be right.
Be talkin' to you...................Webrydr
if you recall Bush Gave the Order to find Bin Laden and Kill him , they didnt stop looking for him when Obama took over so your point is meaningless, and as I recall the US military works for the Commander-in-Chief who in fact works for the people of the U.S.A. and I never said I was not happy they got him.
Web Rydr
I agree with everything you've said here Muglitt!!
Such a shame, truly a total shame.
last I looked we are still in Iraq to and the taliban are the one Obama said we were going after in Afghanistan . he said nothing about Osama.
This is an awesome report, Thank you:)
I second that Richard!
No Obama's kool-aid
Ret MSgt,
You are right, unfortunately there are some people so determined to discredit our President that statements like Noona's are not surprising. Obviously, the last thing in the world we should do is parade the troops that participated in the raid and make them and their families targets of what remains of Al Qaeda.
Enough about the kool aid drinking...
And there was much rejoicing.
On second thought, lets not go to Camelot. It is a silly place.
Proof that if you attack the U.S. we can & will hunt you down! Bravo troops!!
Ditto from me. Don't tread on us! You can run and you can even hide for a little while- but we will get you eventually! Go U.S. military!!!!!
I'm not going to believe this until I see the long form death certificate.
Can't be helped. Stuck on stupid.
