Gaddafy and his family should have no mercy with those who have tried to kill him. Tabula rasa.
I am ashamed that this traitorous cleric was born on US soil. God, I would love to personally wring his scrawny neck. Likely this guy got the @!$%# kicked out of him every day in grade school. What a pussy for putting out this drivel on the internet while hiding in some 3rd-rate terrorist hotbed with his Islamist @!$%#-buddies.
This is the problem in the US from what I hear and what I have seen upon leave from threater, we have become to PC and have become complaciant. Look at out history and the older generaations before us for example: the FBI would have had people like this on a whatch list with survailance as they did with the communist in the 60's-80's. There wasn't such a high outlook and we are right you are wrong political enviroment. people and polotians were more concerned about the country and everyone was in agreement that these people were a threat to our national interest.
Then comes the 90's and the millinium and now everone is worried about hurting someones feelings or not being politicaly correct and by doing this and being so intent on making sure everyone feels special and important we have lost sight of a national whole mentality. A example of this is my kid play sports his baseball team went undefeated and they did not get any special recognition the entire leage all received the same trophy and medal. And in Soccer my sons team stunk they played very poor (they lacked disipline by there coach.) and yet they all recived medals and trophies and the winning team recived nothing differant to set them apart for their achievments and hard work. So if everyone is special and people still get rewarded for losing and not doing thier best we are setting up future generations for a faulsehood in life. If I fail to do my job and am a slacker people will die so i have to be at my best all the time. I teach my sone these same values that if you practice and work hard you are rewarded but if you slack off and lack disopline you lose and are not rewarded.
So with society being the way it is where everyone has been over saturated with political correctness and every is special nothing will ever get done and we will open ourselves up as a even bigger target as we have become to complaceant and are afraid to do or say what needs to done and said. Only on the anonomis internet do people feel free to speak out and even here if you say what needs to be said and it hurts ones feeling you are banned for the day.
I feel our nation will only wake up upon another attack as it always takes demassive death and distruction (these days) to make people and politians realize that not everyone has the US in their best interest. and there are many out there who would love to see mothing more than us to fail tour 233 year old experiment of having NOT a democracy but a republic, in which hard work and doing what needs to be done (dispite whos feeling you hurt as not everyone will be happy) to ensure that our nation is on guard and protected.
If a person is a hater of weapons and chooses not to own one and they or their loved ones falls prey to the evil and they are endanger of losing life and a good person see this and acts would you be greatful or would you not. Do people want the leaders and protectors in society to be there when the time comes?
This is the problem in the US ... we have become to PC
The rise of muharibun like al-Awlaki has nothing to do with the fact that the United States does not oppress a Muslim simply because that person is Muslim.
More to the point, there is nothing "PC" about the pseudo-religious muharibun; or their call for global Haribah; or their blasphemous claims that they murder innocents to please God and will be rewarded by God on the last day for having done so.
The point i was trying to make is that telephone tapping and gneral survalance by our government an agency has to jump through hoops (which is a good thing to an extent) this becaome bad when the Agency looses the target due to TOO MUCH red tape and this stems from the idea that every agency is to worried about hurting someones feeling. If I was be monitored by the government because I fit a profile of a certain threat, I pesonally would have no problem with it as I have nothing to hide and by that the government could make that determination and move on. But we have so many group that are crying out, "you are infringing on this and that" In a time of war and high terrorist threats against our nation people need to thingk not only of themselves but of the whole, Of the people they share a grocery store with and pass on the road. You dont have to know the person but only need to realize that they are part of the family, The American family. The people who want to hurt us are out there and want nothing more than to destroy as much as they can. So if my Internet service or my cell phone carrier is working with the NSA, NRO, CIA, or any other agency then that is just fine with me, as i don;t want to wake up and hear that, only if we would have had this or that company willing to play ball we would have nailed this guy or this cell.
" "For the scholars and activists of Egypt to be able to speak again freely, it would represent a great leap forward for the mujahedeen," wrote al-Awlaki, who was born in New Mexico and is now believed to be hiding in southern Yemen."
This is a revelation of desperation by A.Q. It is more intended to add to the debate to not arm the Libyan rebels. al-Awlaki is exposing himself. He is seeing the NATO coalition operations in Libya as a threat to A.Q. Using the Art of War as a resource, strike, strike, strike!
I would also like to point out that the term "scholar" becomes a joke when it comes to awarding that term to the Islamic hierarchy and mullahs. Studying one thing, in particular Islam, to the exclusion of all other subjects, and then lying about what you have "learned" and leading people to believe falsehoods re the history and origin of Islam is unacceptable to the truly educated mind.
As for some Christian leaders falling into the same category, methinks many are not lying to their flocks but simply ignorant of early Christian history. A true scholar, who has spent a lifetime studying a particular religion, knows what a hoax it all is. Anyone with a brain, who studies the history of the first centuries of any religion, is going to lose his or her faith.
Once again Reuters and MSNBC are a platform for spreading radical Islamic terrorism. They give al Awlaki a stage and a microphone to pitch his hateful, violence inciting screed without qualification or comment. During WW II did NBC and Reuters publish and broadcast every Hitler speech without qualification or comment? Have you sold your conscience?
Such a worthless comment. Every news report about a leader that the public doesn't agree with is giving them a stage? haha. Okay yeah let's not report and just sit back because if we talk about it then we're helping them. In that case SocialistFacistLeftist radical al-qaida liberals should have a huuuuge following in the bible belt in the states since Fox News talks about them 24/7.
Maybe you didn't understand but it was a jab at fox news and their usage of the words liberal, socialist and facist to describe anyone/everyone that isn't aline with their view.
Nothing the man said is untrue. All boats rise, so to speak. If and / or as more freedom spreads throughout the middle east, it is up to their populations to decide to join the ranks of the radicals or not.
That said, you people need to shove it with your "liberal this and socialist that" bs. There isn't a damned thing socialist about the United States or the current administration (go visit a real socialist country and then talk), and life is just a tad less black and white than everything falling on a liberal or conservative side of the fence. Welcome to the real world.
"But Anwar al-Awlaki, in an article published online Tuesday, said the removal of anti-Islamist autocrats meant Islamic fighters and scholars had greater freedom to discuss and organize."
The cockroaches (al-Awlaki) are crawling out of the shadows...
No, al-Awlaki is still hiding. He knows the shoe awaits.
Having nothing of their own accomplishments to boast of, the muharibun like al-Awlaki try to claim for themselves, some of the popular admiration directed toward the uprisings. It won't work.
I encourage MSNBC to report A.Q. releases. Their exposure reveals that they are threatened by the new and intuitive Obama Doctrine of a NATO coalition model. A.Q. should be threatened by the resolve, and I expect to be seeing continued acts of desperation. Only weak Americans will fall for their propaganda. The strong Americans will carry us forward. That is the way it has always been all the way back to our freedom fighting Colonial forefathers.
I am not at all sure just how any of these revolts by the populace will turn out in the short term, however in the long term with the social media outlets that are now so prevalent I predict A-Q will remain essentially a non factor. They will scurry out from the shadows on occasion, but their tyranny is no different from tyranny elsewhere, and will be seen for what it really is. which is subjugating others to a 9th century theology.
the Muslim world will get a chance to breathe again
Keep in mind that if YOU breathe too much we WILL nuke you. There is a reason these idiots still live in the Stone Age. And there is also a reason THIS fool and the others like him are in hiding....lol...lol...lol.
Bahahahaa.....If WE can nuke Japan we CAN nuke the Stone Age countries in the Middle-East. SIMPLE!!!! Of course, we WON'T have to, Japan is doing it for us...HOPEFULLY!!!!
Wow, out of touch to say the least. 1) The trend with all superpowers (translation: that includes us) is nuclear deproliferation (definition: reducing arms) and 2) considering that every aspect of American life from food to clothing revolves somehow around oil, pretty sure you aren't going to nuke the most oil rich region on earth as global supplies are already on a downward curve.
And really, your comparing Hiroshima and the world as it was 70 years ago to today. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were horrific, but done without the knowledge we have now. Also, the nukes we have currently make Hiroshima look like a fire cracker. Sociology, physics, economics, global connections and politics, we would never do it.
"He called on Muslims living in the West to kill groups of "Jews and Christians" whenever they heard of U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan or Israeli killings of Palestinians."
Maybe the West should take out twice as many Muslims for every terrorist attack? No I am not calling for violence. But people like this only understand one thing, death. They will not stop until they are dead. That may be harsh, but true. Odd thing to me is, how weak minded this fool must be to totally turn against the country of his birth and believe the wild rantings of a religion hell bent on ruling the world. Anyone have some kool-aid for him?
His name should be Richard Cranium. What do you expect a follower of muhammad to act like. His prophet molested a 9 yr old little girl. Murdered hundreds of people. and was a thief.
I would like to serve him a nice glass of refreshing kool-aid. However, it would be the kind that was used in Jones Town. What a coward, to ask others to do your killing. I hope someone wastes this miserable turd and sends him straight to Ala. ( Ala Chingada )
Just little correction if you don't mined, as the records stipulate mohammad the pedofile molested aisha from age of six on till she turned nine the he cosumated the marrage, get it (consmated) this what muslims revear and view this criminal as the perfect man should imulate, so what do you expect from these twisted dammages beyond repair minded animals to behave like, wink wink.
Novelist Nelson De Mille had the right idea. If any attack of consequence touches these shores, all the Muslim capitals disappear. If a huge attack or series of attacks occurs the whole area, cities, countries, assets is rendered uninhabitable.
Obama may well go down in history as the guy who spread chaos and anarchy across the entire region.
His half-hearted, ill-thought-out, flying by the seat of his pants foreign policies may provide the power vacuum that is filled by the never ceasing efforts of the Muslim fanatics.
Already, NATO's commitment is crumbling amidst bickering and the lack of a leader.
Obama is an organizer; but he lacks leadership. So, he's organized NATO (who went along for the ride as long as the US military was carrying the load)....and now Germany, Turkey and Norway are asking themselves "what exactly are we doing, and who's in charge?"
Now, Egypt has a Muslim-Brotherhood friendly leadership. Remember the Muslim Brotherhood? They were the folk who assassinated Anwar Sadat for making peace with Israel.
And all that Libyan oil? 85% goes to........Europe!
Obama will be remembered for allowing the Islamic radicals to take over the region.
Steven: Why exactly is it that you think it is our responsibility as Americans to choose or influence what happens in Middle Eastern countries? Unless the goal is to takeover oil rich nations (Iraq) for our own future supply or as matter of national security, it really isn't any of our *&^%ing business.
Our involvement, at most, should be a concerted effort with the international community. Past that, let them handle it themselves. We have a lot of domestic issues to focus on.
Steven: As mentioned, I'm on the side of the fence that says we have no business being in Libya in the first place.
Obama didn't even bother to consult his own government first.
But, the liberals are dutifully continuing to carry his water.
Hypocrisy at its finest!
I'm not sure how being in Libya is a liberal / conservative issue. Republicans are on every news station blasting the President for not going in sooner. And, if he had, they would have blasted him for not waiting for the international community. Doesn't matter what he does. Even if it is what they want, they hate him for it. The GOP's # 1 priority right now is PR and that boils down to swaying public perception that anything he does is wrong.
Since when does NATO constitute the "international community"?
NATO consists of 22 members and 28 partner states and Libyan intervention is supported by the Arab League, which together comprises most of the world's superpowers and nearly every country in the region. That's a community that could be considered pretty international.
I guess reading comprehension wasn't taught to some of these commenter's. Even the terrorists hate Qaddafi. If we can sell whoever wins food for oil what do we care.
"In Libya, no matter how bad the situation gets and no matter how pro-Western or oppressive the next government proves to be, we do not see it possible for the world to produce another lunatic of the same caliber of the Colonel (Gadhafi)," he added.
Wow, calling a fellow (I assume) muslim more crazy than the west? Doesn't change the fact that Anwar is still our enemy, but that made me feel warm and fuzzy inside :)
Where ever they are seek them out and take them out before they come for us when there is no one left to help us. It takes great leadership to strike the enemy before he strikes you. We should spread the message on the airwaves and internet that they stand to lose the most for the U. S. has never been defeated nor will it ever be. When the smoke clears we will still be standing proud and tall and Islam will be swept into the dust of history to be forgotten for ever. Islam has never had anything to offer the world but repression and force until death.
The New Mexico born cleric is, I believe correct. The western educated and influenced leaders of these revolts are naive in that they believe they can imporve things well enough, soon enough for the masses of their impoverished countrymen to return to civilized standards of behavior and order after the "success" of the revolt. They cannot. Like the rest of humankind, the masses are impatient for instant gratification which will not be forthcoming. That lack of gratification will incline them to believe the Wahabi interpretation of Islamic Jihad as struggle with the evil without (as opposed to the struggle against evil within one's individual soul) which is the hallmark of Al Qaeda. Contrary to the reports in the western press, the few on the fringe of Islam are liberal, literate and westernized. The mass, when not occupied with struggling to get the bare essentials for life, are almost completely in thrall to the illiterate, literal superstition and fantasy of fundamentalism. Just like the Christianity of the West.
Good to know we have freed the mujahedeen. Now why would Obama help them and not the people being slaughtered and raped in the Ivory coast? Or the people being starved to death in North Korea? Why is it averting a humanitarian disaster in Libya, but not in these places or elsewhere in the world? There is a 9,000 strong UN force in the Ivory Coast, but they do nothing while people are killed in front of them. If you are going to help people by going to war with their leaders, be consistent, or be a liar.
The answer is on his birth certificate under "Religion". Trump solves a mystery. It is a sure thing the Feds and even the Democrats wold not have permitted him to be a candidate for president without insuring he was native-born. But Trump points out there is something on that birth certificate he wants hidden.
the ivory coast does not have oil we are very consistant when it comes to war and oil. our oil companys own the government and use it as a police force around the world to greed up and then greed up some more this is the face that the world sees of america super greedee multinationals rapping there countries
If we can catch predators online, this seems like a pretty easy fish to fry. Monitor Inspire website. Find out who frequents it. Figure out which of those are islamist extremists versus idol surfers versus intel analysts (professional or otherwise). Then go get the islamists and . . . well, I'll leave off the end-game. Whatever I come up with will be considered "unconstitutional" by one bunch of fruit cakes and not violent enough by another group. Fill in the blank yourself. The point is we have everything we need to identify and round up at least some of the threats living right here among us.
We can find sexual predators online, tap the phone of a street dealer in Philadelphia, catch a murderer 20 yrs after the fact, use satellites to zoom in and watch a kid playing in the front yard in Nebraska, and clone sheep.
Yet we supposedly can't find a 7 ft. arabian man riding around the desert on a donkey? I don't buy it.
The west and the USA are planting spies in addition to biased reporters as we speak. Evict all westerners and be aware of the greed and vulnerability of all in the region. Be alert to the weak of heart and the cost of alliance with weaker spies.
Gaddafy and his family should have no mercy with those who have tried to kill him. Tabula rasa.
why don't you go live with him rump ranger
I am ashamed that this traitorous cleric was born on US soil. God, I would love to personally wring his scrawny neck. Likely this guy got the @!$%# kicked out of him every day in grade school. This is the problem in the US from what I hear and what I have seen upon leave from threater, we have become to PC and have become complaciant. Then comes the 90's and the millinium and now everone is worried about hurting someones feelings or not being politicaly correct and by doing this and being so intent on making sure everyone feels special and important we have lost sight of a national whole mentality. If allah is so great, why does he allow so much tyranny by fellow muslims in the middle east?
Fed: The same could be said for any religion man has ever believed in, hence why I don't believe in any of it.
@Common,
The point i was trying to make is that telephone tapping and gneral survalance by our government an agency has to jump through hoops (which is a good thing to an extent) this becaome bad when the Agency looses the target due to TOO MUCH red tape and this stems from the idea that every agency is to worried about hurting someones feeling. al-Awlaki especially wants regime change in Yemen, where there is a price on his head.
Good point, IO.

doug, not all of us need to be told what to think. Many of us can do that for ourselves. It's a pity so many cannot.

Your guess is no more valid than anyone else. At last report there were very few people that honestly had the gift(?) of seeing into the future.
Place your bets; I have placed mine.
Mr. Obama has no plan: No strategy, no exit plan, no definable goal and an inconsistent foreign policy.
That spells "weakness" in the eyes of our enemies.
that's bullsh!t and you know it. stop listening to Fox, you're starting to parrot Beck.

And, if he had, they would have blasted him for not waiting for the international community. Doesn't matter what he does. Even if it is what they want, they hate him for it. The GOP's # 1 priority right now is PR and that boils down to swaying public perception that anything he does is wrong.
NATO consists of 22 members and 28 partner states and Libyan intervention is supported by the Arab League, which together comprises most of the world's superpowers and nearly every country in the region. That's a community that could be considered pretty international.
steve b You say may I say with out a doubt it is a darnd done conclusion
I've changed my Cold War motto "Kill a Commie for Mommy" to "Kill a Hadji for Mommy"
Flame suit on... check
Be nice to your Mom Sarge! Just plain "Kill a Hadji" works fine!
Flame Away! I've survived more than one 24 hour ban!
Wow
Only more cause not to arm the libyan rebels.
Too many big words....head hurts....huh?
Exactly my point. If you are going to war for oil, say it, don't say you're doing it to help people. We're not stupid. Who are you fooling?
But the chocolate!?!?!
We are feeding a hungry monster that will grow large enough to eat us.
Care to explain?
at least one person seems to know where all this "liberating our muslim brothers" is going to end
SHARIA LAW!!!!
Al Qaida can't even remember why they hate the west anymore. They just hate.
Good to know our government has the support of the Al Qaida, really sad.
I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Miker, I agree:
We can find sexual predators online, tap the phone of a street dealer in Philadelphia, catch a murderer 20 yrs after the fact, use satellites to zoom in and watch a kid playing in the front yard in Nebraska, and clone sheep.
Yet we supposedly can't find a 7 ft. arabian man riding around the desert on a donkey? I don't buy it.
