Can this abuse not ever stop?!

As a cradle Catholic, I can never walk into a Catholic Church again.  Never! 

I read the other day about some other perverted priest (he was ousted) whose Pastor, or some other leader, asked the congretation to please pray for the scum-bag.'

I was praying for the Church, that she may heal, but's it gone beyond that.  I can only pray for the healing of the victims.

Further, I'd like to recommend that these pedopholes serve time in our jails.  Oh, what a time they would have.  They like sodomy?  They'd sure enjoy the fruits of our penal system.

Let us all pray that these pedophiles face criminal charges in the US courts.  They can no longer hide behind the cloth.  They are criminals.  Period.

I've often wondered if the 3rd secret of Fatima wasn't that the church has been defecating on itself for hundreds of years and that the filth would be discovered.

How could it be that our past pope knew of these abuses and yet did nothing to bring the pedophiles to justice? The same way, I guess that the church helped the nazi's escape to South America.

Let us pray for the victims; that they may know it was not their fault. That they may unburden themselves from the weight of these tragedies.

My Mom grew up in Philly in the 30's and she and her brothers attended catholic schools. They were very poor and raised by a single mom. Both of the brothers were alter boys. One of them was extremely handsome. Every now and then he would bring home some bauble that one of the priests had given him.

In hindsight, Mother is now convinced that he was abused. Prior to that, our whole family held the priests in the highest esteem with the solid belief that our Church was sacred.

Sacred. A word unsuitable in the 21st century.
