Israel has long contended that Palestinian textbooks and official media preach hatred toward Israel and that the killers of Israelis are often glorified.
Maybe if Israelis didn't deserve it I'd have some sympathy!
Israeli PM said in defense of this latest push for Settlement building "They murder, we build." Tell me how they have proof of a Palestinian was involved? This could be another violent act by Radical Israeli Settlers in the West Bank, continuing their Terrorist "Price Tag" attacks!
you're an idiot, . . you obviously know nothing of the real history, . . you only listen to the "poor palestinians" and the warped information they give out. If they would leave Israel alone, Israel would leave them alone. Israel reclaimed a their nation in 1948, and turned a flee bitten land into something beautiful and prosperous. No sooner did they become a nation and all the surrounding Arab countries attacked them, then in 1956 they attacked again, then in 1967 israel got the jump on them just as the Arabs were going to attack again, and then in 1973 the Arabs attacked again and were beaten by the Israelis. Israel took land, . .yes, but why, because it was strategic areas that the Arabs had used through the years to attack Israel, . . the high ground. Israel has the right to defend itself. GO ISRAEL!! Do what you need to do to get peace in the land!
That's a violation of Newsvine's CoH I have reported your abuse.
you obviously know nothing of the real history, . .
You mean your Zionist propaganda that you spread to legitimize the Terrorist state of Israel?
Israel's only claim to the land is from nearly 2000 years ago. They don't belong there anymore! Arabs have lived there as the majority since 634!
You seem to have ignored the Fact that these Israelis came from Europe and the Soviet Union with Zionist aspirations to steal the land for themselves. These Israelis committed acts of terrorism against the Palestinians and the British, Jewish terrorist groups like the Irgun, Lehi, and Haganah. Of course the Arabs attacked the Israelis in 1947 because they don't belong there and were trying to steal land belonging to the Arabs!
Maybe if you weren't blinded by Israeli Lies you'd see that the Palestinians are the victims, not those goose stepping, land stealing, Zionists!
then in 1973 the Arabs attacked again and were beaten by the Israelis.
Arabs attacked to retake lost territory. Seems you are slanted everything in favor of Israel and ignoring the facts and core issues!
In 1973, Egyptian and Syrian forces crossed ceasefire lines to enter the Israeli-held Sinai Peninsula and Golan Heights respectively, which had been captured and occupied since the 1967 Six-Day War. The conflict led to a near-confrontation between the two nuclear superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union,
Israel took land, . .yes, but why,
Because Israel stole land because they feel it was given to them by god and is theirs forever. They feel they have a birth right to steal the land and drive the Arabs into extinction, just live Israelis did to the Canaanites some 3000 years ago!
because it was strategic areas that the Arabs had used through the years to attack Israel,
That land was not used to attacked Israel because Israel stole that land after it started the 1967 Six-Day War! Israel attacked first with an airstrike on Egypt! This was called Operation Focus and ISraeli pilots were training for this for months in advance!
On June 7 and June 8, the Israeli leadership debated about whether the Golan Heights should be attacked as well; the attack on Syria was initially planned for June 8, but was postponed for 24 hours because of the false flag attack on the USS Liberty by Israel. At 3 AM on June 9 1967, Syria announced its acceptance of the cease-fire with Israel. Despite this, four hours later at 7 AM, Israel’s minister of defense, Moshe Dayan, "gave the order to go into action against Syria."
Not sure I understand why you are so caught up with Jews being in Israel. Perhaps they had this desire to live there for a long time and they legitimately moved there, and then they found themselves subject to attack and persecution, and then they decided they needed to take a stand and demand the right to live in peace. If you ever have a chance to look at a map you would find that Israel is a tiny nation surrounded by much larger and many more Arab and Muslim nations. Israel has only tried to be peaceful and not belligerent but its "peace loving neighbors" have not felt that way. One does not have to look to far beyond the associations that the Mufti of Jerusalem and Hezbollah had with Nazis and Hitler to know the attitude of those opposing the Jewish people in Israel. Some people love to try to compare Israel to Nazis, but the reality is that defending yourself from belligerents does not make you a Nazi. Becoming evil and trying to destroy a people on the basis of their religious beliefs or ethnicity does mimic Nazi ideals. When someone like the president of Iran who is trying to develop "peaceful" nuclear power talks about wiping Israel off the map, there you can identify who is trying to take over the mantle of Nazism. Israel by all accounts has the power to wipe out every single Palestinian living in Israeli Territory yet they attempt to make peace and to minimize collective harm when attacked. Look at this story, in response to cold blooded murder Israel does not wipe out villages (a Nazi tactic to deter rebellion), rather they authorize building so that their citizens who are in desperate need of housing can live. I hope the Palestinians can learn from this and instead of focusing their energy into hate they focus it into positive things.
Regarding the Palestinian refugees let the many large Arab nations that surround Israel take them in. If they think Israel has the room they definitely have the room and if they matter to them they should open the door to them rather than using them as pawns is some game. Israel took in so many Jewish refugees from North Africa, it is time these countries act the same and take in the Palestinian refugees. If none of these countries are willing to take them in then why do they think Israel should take them in? If they are so bad how can you ask Israel to take them in. So many countries throughout history have taken in refugees, why can't the various Arab countries take in these refugees? Why do they all say they will not give citizenship in order to perpetuate the problem. The only explanation I can think of is that they want to create a problem for Israel so for several generations they have turned a blind eye to their own people. This is hate, not what Israel does. When you can let your own people suffer for so many years since you hate Jews that is the real problem.
America ought to shut up. Get a real policy and cut off the billions you are giving this rogue state that enable them to build settlements. Stop the interference in security council action against this thug regime. Until America ceases its ridiculous policy of appeasement to this regime there will be no change on the ground and ethnic cleansing will continue.
Until America changes its ridiculous one sided policy it should shut the hell up!
Israel doesn't seem to want peace. Pretty much everything it does seems to support this. They will take our money, but are not truly willing to enter into any seriouss negociations. Maybe it is time that our money come with a true peace agreement tied to it
we must ask, when does an asset become a liability to us. Allies tend to work in the same direction, this does not seem the case here
Aliyah Bet was the code name given to illegal immigration by Jews to the British Mandate for Palestine in violation of British White Paper of 1939 restrictions, in the years 1934-1948. In modern day Israel it has also been called by the Hebrew term Ha'apala
The Zionists responded by organizing illegal migration which the British countered by blockading Palestine. This resulted in some famous incidents invoking Jewish Refugees trying to illegally enter Mandate Palestine.
Matt-2624220 and then they found themselves subject to attack and persecution, and then they decided they needed to take a stand and demand the right to live in peace.
LMAO. Didn't the Jews leave Europe and the Soviet Union because they were subject to attack and persecution. Maybe they found themselves subject to attack and persecution in Palestine because they were trying to steal land from Arabs to recreate the land of Israel from themselves!
Matt-2624220 Regarding the Palestinian refugees let the many large Arab nations that surround Israel take them in.
So you think it is ok for Israel to steal other people's land and drive out 800,000 Palestinians from their land and homes in 1947. Why should Arab nations take in these refugees when their homeland was stolen by Jews! Israel continues to steal more and more of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, land that doesn't belong to them!
In a rare interview to the Israeli media, the Palestinian president reached out to the Israeli public, decrying the weekend attack in the settlement of Itamar as "despicable, immoral and inhuman." But he rejected the Israeli suggestion that his government was indirectly to blame.
I wonder when Israel will start to realize that she is her own source for hatred in this World. GREED is the biggest part for this hatred. You reap what you sow. You simply can not continue to bully people around and expect them to love you for it.
Just last month, the United States vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlement construction....The council's 14 other members voted in favor of the resolution.
Israel is not our friend. To the contrary, we are its servant, as publicly stated by Sharon:
We, the Jewish people, control America and the Americans know it.
"They murder, we build," this says it all those with moral values build, but the muslim fanatics do what their moon god has taught them MURDER babies! it is very clear which side the USA supports and it is not the brainwashed fanatic followers of mohammed!
Celia--check your facts. Don't be blinded by your hatred.
In a May 10, 2002 column (“Now Isn’t the Time for Bush League Moves”), nationally-syndicated columnist Georgie Anne Geyer included bogus and inflammatory allegations against Prime Minister Sharon and Israel’s supporters in America.
First, she wrote:
In fact, it [American support for Israel’s actions] led Prime Minister Sharon to tell his Cabinet recently, “I control America.”
CAMERA conducted extensive Nexis and Internet searches, and found that no mainstream news organization reported as true the fabricated quotation.
The hoax originated with an October 3, 2001 press release from the pro-Hamas group, the Islamic Association for Palestine. It said:
An acrimonious argument erupted during the Israeli cabinet weekly session last week between Ariel Sharon and his foreign Minister Shimon Peres during which Sharon reportedly yelled at Peres, saying “don’t worry about American pressure, we control America.”
Notably, in the same press release, the direct quotation “we control America” changed to “we the Jewish people control America.”
CAMERA notified Geyer’s editors that the Sharon “quote” originated on a pro-Hamas website (the Islamic Association for Palestine), and that it had not been corroborated by any reputable media organization. CAMERA also pointed out that IAP’s alleged source, a report on Israel radio, is apparently fictional – Kol Yisrael denied to CAMERA that it had ever broadcast any such report.
When CAMERA requested substantiation from Geyer, the columnist first asserted that she was abroad and would have to check her notes when she got back home in June. After CAMERA contacted editor Bruce Dold of the Chicago Tribune (which ran the Geyer column), he replied:
Ms. Geyer does indeed cite the same sources you note [an Islamic Association for Palestine press release that claimed Kol Yisrael radio reported the Sharon statement] on the Sharon quote. If you have a statement or confirmation from Kol Yisrael, I’d like to see it.
The arabs have never accepted the UN & the League of Nations decisions and attacked Israel several times, hoping to drove israelis to the sea. They lost and should see consequencies. This is how it works. The USA & entire world being created based on this rule. This is a local conflict - let them figure out their differencies themselves. Israel has given back the Gaza - look what happened. That bloody murder of innocent kids just shows the true intensions. While Israel tries to set up some conditions of, at least, peaceful coexistatnce, the arabs want "Death to Israel, Death to America".
H of Cos: Your rants about the jews don't belong there have gone stale. You keep repeating ythe same old lies. The facts are both jews and arabs have lived there for a thousand years before 1947. You love to point out the jewish attacks on the arabs but total overlook the same attackes when they go the other way. In 1948 a huge Arab army with tanks and war planes attacked as soon as teh British flag came down. This had nothing to do with jews or any other crap you keep repeating. It was flat out land grab and end with the west bank and Gaza Strip illegal occuiped by the Arab league forces and than annxing into Egypt and Jordan. The 67 war started with Egypt breaking the 1956 peace agreement by moving troops into Sinai and placing the Arab league on a war footing. After the war Israel offered to give back the land they took if the arab league would make peace. They did not and tried again to take the whole area in 1973.
At no point from 1948 to 1973 did the arab league act on the behalf of the Palestainain people. It was only after Egypt and Jordan turned their backs on hate that the Palestainian had a real chance for a nation not ruled by a arab or jewsih master. It's the Palestainian that have to decide how the this is going to end. The pure 67 borderlines have come and gone. They were on the table once already and were rejeted by the Arabs.
The thing you and other can;t seem to grasp is the building is not about grabing land its about appling pressure. For 60 years the people of Isarel have been facing a enemy that has vowed to distroy them. Now that same foe is saying ok if you give us back all we lost attacking you we will make peace for now. But those are just words delivered by a third party. The palestainians have to understand until they talk face to face and show they have something to offer worth the risk of pulling out of the west bank Isarel is going to keep the pressure on. Land for peace with out agreement was tried with Gaza and Isarel got slapped along side the head by Hamas.
Sympathy for the Palestinians...I think not....when Palestinians name a town square after a suicide bomber that killed 37 innocent people on a bus....when they slaughter a family in their sleep and this was done all within 1 weeks time. The Palestinians really do not want peace no matter what is said---their actions on many many occassions are a constant reminder and speak loud and clear of what they really want.
We need to cut Israel off. In fact, we need to cut everybody off who doesn't do what they are told. Why should we borrow money from our grandchildren to lower the tax burdens of the citizens of foreign nations? Especially when they work against our interests.
The people of Israel need to see the true cost of their governments policies. If they wish to subjugate non-jews in Israel, fine but they need to pay for it themselves. If given the choice between their universal health care or settlements, I wonder how the majority of Israelis would feel?
Gray beard The facts are both jews and arabs have lived there for a thousand years before 1947
Arabs were the majority and made up 90% while Jews only made up 2%.... Then came mass Jewish emigration to Palestine with the intent to steal the land for themselves. These are the FACTS you want to ignore!
Gray beard The 67 war started with Egypt breaking the 1956 peace agreement by moving troops into Sinai
Wrong! The 1967 Six Day War started with Operation Focus, Israel launched an Air Strike against Egypt. Israel attacked first and Israel was also war mongering. Typical of your to twist the facts and blame Arabs!
Gray beard The thing you and other can;t seem to grasp is the building is not about grabing land its about appling pressure.
That's as laughable as anything else you've said. Israel is stealing land for there own expansion, trying to take the West Bank based on Biblical claims. Also try a spell checker if you are struggling with English!
Hippocrates of Cos time for your kkk meeting, please stop your hateful rhetoric, how is it every article about Israel you are there spouting hatred? does the Grand Dragon call you to say ''hey hippocrates there is an article about the JOOOOOOOWS'' ?
"They murder, we build"...? If every country in the world followed that philosophy, and held the government of every foreign nation responsible for the death of its citizens abroad there would be no such thing as an international community. The idea is so ridiculous that, to the best of my knowledge Israel is the only country that has endorsed it absent PROOF that the foreign government was involved - which - is completely lacking in this case.
This is a sham excuse by a terrorist rogue nation, to do whatever it wants.
Oh, how did Israel get its territory in the first place. Read the Bible. King David won it by stealing it from other kingdoms and murdering every man, woman, child and dog in the cities that he conquered. Nonetheless, Irsael relies on the Bible to justify its claim to the territory.
The reason the Israelis know which group did it is obvious - it's the group they've been killing and stealing land from all along. Who else would hate them so much?
Israel has long contended that Palestinian textbooks and official media preach hatred toward Israel and that the killers of Israelis are often glorified.
Maybe if Israelis didn't deserve it I'd have some sympathy! - post #1 (always first to display your hatred).
your goosestepping hatred of Israeli's has been noted.
Archeim If you're going go as far back as to accept a majority since 634, why cant we go back 2000 years ago? Does your time machine only go back so far?
Why would I need a time machine, it is the Israeli claim that has nearly a 2000 year GAP!
The Arabs were the majority populous since 634 until 1947. That is a direct connection to modern times. The Zionist claim, and by extension the Israeli claim, that all Jews have the right to the land and the Right to Return because they lived there 2000 years ago is the root to the whole Arab-Israeli conflict.
Displaced Arabs and their descendants have a legitimate grievance.
Negotiation impasse? Time to cut off US aid and see how quickly the impasse disappears. Time to stop coddling the Israelis. What happened to them during World War II was a travesty, but they are now using some of the same tactics that used to be used against them. Beggar thy neighbor?
jackel64 your goosestepping hatred of Israeli's has been noted.
Hate? that's a little harsh; Apathy and contempt, but not Hate. Don't forget that 20.4% of Israelis are Arabs (About 1,571,000 inhabitants) and that there are plenty of Orthodox and Secular Jewish-Israelis that are against the policies of Israel's government and that of the Zionism. I am anti-Zionism (ideology) and anti-Israel (government).
We can thank the Allied Leaders of World War I and II for this mess. If they hadn't bought into the Zionist movement then we wouldn't be in the situation we are today. After the Ottoman Empire fell at the end of World War I the imperialistic British and French divided up the Middle East. Then after World War II it was decided to create a homeland for the Jews. Christian Zionists decided to buy into the effort because they thought they could bring about the second coming of Christ. What should have happened at the end of World War II was to establish a Jewish state in Europe from a part of Germany. They should have taken the land from the Germans, not put them where they would be surrounded by Muslims. This mistake has resulted in the deaths of thousands of people and has probably costs billions of dollars.
What is happening in Israel today is apartheid. The Jewish people of Israel are signing their own death warrants by not seriously negotiating with the Palestinians. I base this on the following:
The population of Israel is 7,437,052 (approximately 1,255,472 of those are Muslims)
The combined population of the West Bank and Gaza strip is 4,255,472
That means there are approximately 750,000 more non-Muslims. The population growth rate of Israel is 1.584% while the population growth rate of Gaza Strip is 3.210% and the population growth rate of the West Bank is 2.097%.
Eventually there will be more Muslims in Israel/Gaza Strip/West Bank. I have already read articles where some Palestinians have given up on a two state solution. They are planing to start a fight against the apartheid because the non-Muslims will soon be a minority.
jackel64 your goosestepping hatred of Israeli's has been noted.
Hate? that's a little harsh - post 1.31
Maybe if Israelis didn't deserve it I'd have some sympathy! - post 1
no, it isnt a 'little harsh' you have a hatred for Israelis as evidenced by your own post. i dont put words into your mouth, you put them there yourself.
If Israelis know what's good for them, they will get serious with the negotiations before they are out numbered. I no longer see the commercials on TV from Christian organizations asking for hundreds of dollars to send Russian Jews to Israel. Eventually there will be more Muslims then non-Muslims and then the Israeli Jews will be a minority and subject to the whims of a Muslim majority. Before that happens, the Israelis should stop and reflect on their actions over the past half century and ask themselves what will happen once they are a minority in a single state. Do they hope the Muslims will turn the other cheek? Does the history of the region dictate that, that will happen?
I personally would like to see a two state solution based on borders established by the UN in 1967. Any and all illegal settlements should be abandoned. These buildings were built illegally. In the US if you build a building without a permit, they tear it down. Jerusalem should become a UN protectorate for the entire world. Jews, Christians and Muslims need to learn to share the city as each faith has historic ties to the city and none will be satisfied unless they have access to their holy sites.
jackel64 no, it isnt a 'little harsh' you have a hatred for Israelis as evidenced by your own post. i dont put words into your mouth, you put them there yourself.

You need to learn the difference between anti-Zionism/Israel and Antisemitism that's what got you suspended last time; Besides, I've already told you that not all Israelis are Jews and not all Jews support apartheid Israel. And I've said that I'm not against Zionist because of their religion because there are Christian and Muslim Zionists too! I am against the political agenda and ideology of Zionism...
But you know that because you ignored quoting the rest of the post #1.31 where I said 20.4% of Israelis are Arabs and that there are plenty of Orthodox and Secular Jewish-Israelis that are against the policies of Israel's government and that of the Zionism.!
I realize you weren't addressing me, but was that supposed to be some kind of threat?
i seriously doubt that anyone with even a modicum of intelligence would perceive it as a threat. only one who has less intellect than an unborn infant could possibly read a threat in the post.
how did you come to the conclusion that it was a threat? how clueless does one have to be to ponder the statement?
You ignore my word's meaning and twist them to suit you. My words in post #1 were about the Government of Israel as stated in the quote I gave! - post 1.36

no need to twist your words, they speak for themselves.
You need to learn the difference between anti-Zionism/Israel and Antisemitism that's what got you suspended last time - no, i was suspended for reasons not related to this. perhaps you need to put on your big boy pants and man-up once in a while instead of running to a moderator so you can selectively remove posts you disagree with.

Jay P-Bayside 1527197 Sympathy for the Palestinians...I think not....when Palestinians name a town square after a suicide bomber that killed 37 innocent people on a bus....
And? Doesn't Israel praise and build monuments for their Terrorists?
Baruch Goldstein was an American-born Jewish Israeli physician who perpetrated the 1994 Cave of the Patriarchs massacre in the city of Hebron, killing 29 Muslims at prayer there and wounding another 125.
Goldstein is buried across from the Meir Kahane Memorial Park in Kiryat Arba, a Jewish settlement adjacent to Hebron. The park is named in memory of Rabbi Meir Kahane, founder of the Israeli far-right political party Kach, a group classified by the United States and Israeli governments as a terrorist organization. Goldstein was a long-time devotee of Kahane.
The gravesite has become a pilgrimage site for "Israeli extremists"; a plaque near the grave reads "To the holy Baruch Goldstein, who gave his life for the Jewish people, the Torah and the nation of Israel." At least 10,000 people have visited the grave since the massacre
Baruch Goldstein had a monument erected celebrating his terrorism and it was right next to Meir Kahane Memorial Park in Kiryat Arba; which is named in memory of Rabbi Meir Kahane, founder of the Israeli far-right political party Kach, a group classified by the United States and the Israeli governments as a terrorist organization.
Are not both sides just as bad?

The attack Friday night in Itamar, home to some of Israel's most radical settlers, was the deadliest against Israelis in years, and security forces were on alert Sunday for possible settler retaliation against Palestinians.
While I have sympathy for those that died, I find the following to be interesting since it was 5 days prior to the attack:
Somehow I either missed this article on MSNBC or they failed to cover it. I tried to do a search on MSNBC, but was unable to find anything.
I think the likelihood the attacks were done by radical Israeli settlers is just as likely as it being done by radical Muslims. Radicals are radicals, they don't act rationally.
Kind of makes one stop to pause and wonder if what they have been told is only one half of the story.
Ben Franklin, "Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see."
The military said suspects had been taken into custody in connection with the killings but would give no details.
From the article:
Early Monday, the Israeli army pressed forward with its search for the attacker in Awarta, a Palestinian village next to Itamar. Residents said soldiers using loudspeakers ordered men between the ages of 18 and 40 to report to a village school for questioning. The military confirmed the operation was under way.
Israeli officials say the army has arrested about 20 suspects but has not identified the assailant.
How many people does it take to kill 2 adults and 3 children? Something smells. I've read a couple articles now and I am noticing a common theme of Israelis telling the Palestinians to report to the local schools for interrogations. Is that what Democracy is like in Israel for the Israeli Muslims as well? This sounds like something the British would have done to the colonists prior to the American Revolution.
Since when have the actions of the Obama administration ever been a reflection on the words they use? I take this open criticism to mean that Obama fully supports Israel in this settlement because I know his actions will contradict his words.
Let them settle where ever they want, just don't expect America do defend the Jews in their land grab when the rest of the Arab world says enough is enough, Israel is on its own...
Yet just last month when 14 of the 15 members of the UN security council supported a resolution condemning construction of israeli settlements in occupied territory as illegal, and demanded that it be halted, we on the other hand laid down, AGAIN!!!
When will our leaders stand up and tell these criminals how we the people feel about these crimes???
I agree with you strongly, not out of dislike for the state of Israel, but for the need for peace to become evident in that region, and the clear fact is that country does not want peace!
The "leaders" in the US don't have the balls to stand up and really say and do anything against Israel, even when they KNOW what happens there against the Palestinians is wrong. Ok, so yeah, a lil statement today from Washington, but we all know, it's just spectacle and fluff. I, for one, and over coddling and supporting Israel with our tax money, and turning a blind eye to their "we are the CHOSEN ONES" and can do whatever with no consequences attitude!
Just last month, the United States vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution condemning Israeli settlement construction. The U.S. said it agreed with the wider world about the illegitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity but thought Israelis and Palestinians should resolve key conflicts between them and the council wasn't the proper venue for the dispute. The council's 14 other members voted in favor of the resolution.
Translation: The US said, obviously we agree with the whole world that Israel is committing an illegitimate land grab... but you can't really expect us to go "on record" as saying that, and vote against Israel... Have you never heard of AIPAC??? They practically own the senate and congress.
Early Monday, the Israeli army pressed forward with its search for the attacker in Awarta, a Palestinian village next to Itamar. Residents said soldiers using loudspeakers ordered men between the ages of 18 and 40 to report to a village school for questioning.
Village resident Mashour Awad said dozens, perhaps hundreds, of people from a nearby neighborhood were taken to the school, and that no one put up any resistance. "I've seen people from that neighborhood going because they fear the soldiers may come to their homes and they could face worse. They prefer to go," he said.
Sounds eerily reminiscent of tacticts a certain German party about 50 years ago.... round them up!
Jewish settlers bent on retaliation, meanwhile, threw rocks at cars driving on a main road linking the Palestinian cities of Nablus and Ramallah and set several cars on fire outside of Ramallah and in the town of Qalqiliya,
Wel... that's helpful. (sarcasm)
Abbas spoke to state-run Israel Radio on Monday, harshly condemning the violence and saying his government would have prevented the assault if it had had advance knowledge. He said he would not allow violence to expand.
Well, that IS helpful... (no sarcasm)
"We're deeply concerned by continuing Israeli actions on settlements in the West Bank," the statement from the U.S. Embassy said. "As we said before, we view these settlements as illegitimate and as running counter to efforts to resume direct negotiations."
Uh oh... watch Israel... can you withstand this unprecedented verbal nuclear assault of polite US criticism?
That's right... TAKE THAT... along with the $7,000,000 US taxpayer dollars we give you every single day to keep building those settlements that we kinda sorta are ambiguously opposed to you constructing...
to all you jew/israel haters, i wish i was president of israel, we dont need you, or your dollars..but i'm not running things, these old school guys are...i'd give you a real reason to hate us, cause i'd stop being so kind to the palis, and give them the "quadaffi treatment", so you'd finally have a LEGITIMATE reason to hate us..:) and then i'd tell you to all go to hell...obviously only jews/israelis care about each other (most of the time) so who really needs/ cares about you? and to all those jews/israleis who believe you can swap land for peice, HAHA well you're sell out judenratts/ jews too!
Yeah and I wish I was President of the U.S. because I would take my money back, I would eliminate by force every U.S. weapon in your depraved hands and I would forcibly remove your occupation and put your leadership on trial for crimes against humanity.
I'm no Jew hater... my best friend is VERY Jewish, as are certain members of family.... it IS allowed to disagree with Israeli policy, without being a "jew-hater" isn't it?
i wish i was president of israel, we dont need you, or your dollars..
And yet you take $7,000,000 of our tax-payer dollars EVERY SINGLE DAY... and you need US to veto resolutions and stick up for you against the entire rational world that KNOWS your actions are wrong and illegal, and we have to defend you regardless... without the US, Israel would have been continually at war with half the Arab world, and WITHOUT the Nukes we gave you that you supposedly don't have.
i'd give you a real reason to hate us, cause i'd stop being so kind to the palis, and give them the "quadaffi treatment", so you'd finally have a LEGITIMATE reason to hate us..:)
Israel already did that... it was called operation "Cast Lead"...
and then i'd tell you to all go to hell...obviously only jews/israelis care about each other (most of the time) so who really needs/ cares about you?
I'm beginning to think you are a Troll pretending to be a Jew/Israeli... No Israeli could be so ignorant of what would happen if US support were to vanish...
just don't expect America do defend the Jews in their land grab when the rest of the Arab world says enough is enough, Israel is on its own...
That's laughable. You really think that's going to happen? They know they have the American taxpayers bent over a barrel and they are going to stick it to us for all we're worth.
Israel is a democratic country that respects human life above all else, yet Israel is held up to a double standard; especially when you consider totalitarian regimes like Myanmar have been publically admonished by the UN 2 times in the last year, while Israel has been admonished 20 times. What a joke!
Israel is a little country the size on New Jersey who is surrounded by people that hate it and preach everyday for Israel's demise. Israel needs all the support it can get and hopefully, once lame duck Obama Hussain is out of the office, US relations between the two countries can strenghthen again.
And to all you anti-semetic bleeding hearts...go educate yourself with more than sound bites you pick up here and there.
Israel is a democratic country that respects human life above all else
laughable
Israel is no more Democratic then Gaza. Both countries elected their leaders from an elite group of hard line Terrorists. Israel's ruling Party is the Likud Party which evolved directly from the Jewish Terrorist groups Irgun, Lehi and Haganah.
The first Likud prime minister was Menachem Begin a former leader of the hard-line Zionist terrorist group Irgun
The second premier was Yitzhak Shamir, who first became PM in October 1983 following Begin's resignation. Shamir, a former commander of the hard-line Zionist terrorist group Lehi.
The fourth Likud premier was Ariel Sharon, and he was a commander of the hard-line Zionist terrorist group Haganah. He resigned from the Likud and as Prime Minister and was found by the Kahan Commission to be indirectly responsible for the Sabra and Shatila Massacre (16–18 September 1982)
ab-2261494--I guess you cannot tell from the context of my posting what I meant, so let me clarify: Anti-Jews!
There has never been a Palestinian country, never been a Palestinian language, never been a Palestinian ethnicity, never been a Palestinian religion in any way distinct from Islam elsewhere. In fact, "Palestinian" had always meant any individual living in the geographic area called Palestine. For most of the first half of the 20th century, "Palestinian" and "Palestine" almost always referred to the Jews of Palestine.
Pro-Palestinian activism in the world is largely related to hostility toward Jews. It is not possible that the unearned preoccupation with the Palestinians is unrelated to the fact that their enemy is the one Jewish state in the world. Israel's Jewishness is a major part of the Muslim world's hatred of Israel. It is also part of Europe's hostility toward Israel: Portraying Israel as oppressors assuages some of Europe's guilt about the Holocaust -- "see, the Jews act no better than we did." Hence the ubiquitous comparisons of Israel to Nazis.
SO AGAIN I SAY, TO ALL YOU ANTI-JEWISH BLEEDING HEARTS...GO EDUCATE YOURSELF WITH MORE THAN SOUND BITES YOU PICK UP HERE AND THERE.
Madison Bell There has never been a Palestinian country
It is a region, and the Arabs living in that region since 634 CE have identified themselves with that land. It is known to them as ÙÙسطÙÙ Filasá¹Ä«n. Maybe you are the one who needs to educate yourself!
Madison Bell Pro-Palestinian activism in the world is largely related to hostility toward Jews.
That is just erroneous at its core! You are ignoring the Core issues and playing the race card. No one will take you serious!
So what about all those Jewish groups against Zionism and Israel's government? Are they self hating Jews?
Neturei Karta Orthodox Jews United Against Zionismis an international organization of Orthodox Jews dedicated to the propagation and clarification of Torah Judaism.
True Torah Jews Against Zionismis a non-profit organization of Orthodox Jews dedicated to informing the world that all Jews do not support the Zionist state called Israel.
Jews against Zionism Contrary to the propaganda put out by Israel's supporters, Israel is NOT supported by the majority of the world's Jewish people
The bitterness felt toward the Neturei Karta congregation had been evident since December, when members of the congregation, an anti-Zionist Jewish group, traveled to Tehran and shook hands with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at a conference on the Holocaust.
In the months that followed, the ultra-Orthodox group with the unorthodox beliefs received threatening phone calls at its synagogue. A protest was held outside its doors. Rocks were thrown at its windows.
Madison Bell, the US State department routinely condemns the brutal dictatorship in Myanmar. Our hypocrisy lies in our timid criticism of Israel's never-ending land theft and ethnic cleansing, while continuing to send increasing amounts of American taxpayer dollars to Tel Aviv. Money that we can no longer afford. You do have the internet- use it. There is news out there besides the AIPAC influenced US media.
Pete Beck--There is news out there besides Al Jezeera, CNN and BBC.
It's interesting to see how the bleeding heart left and the anti-Jews act as if the settlement buildings are the major problem and the root of all problems.
The fact is that all this hateful commentary and harsh criticisms of Israel come from the same place that the invasion of Israel by six Arab armies did when it was estabished...pure hatred of the Jewish people.
This hatred comes from the same place where Gamal Nasser, the Egyptian dictator, declared his intention to destroy Israel and, in partnership with Syria and Jordan, tried to do so in May-June 1967.
This hatred comes from the same place that, in September 1967, the Arab nations gathered in Khartoum, Sudan, and declared their “Three No’s”: no peace with Israel, no negotiations with Israel, no recognition of Israel.
This hatred comes from the same place that the Palestinians sent human bombs into Israeli schools, weddings, pizza parlors and buses to maim and murder as many Jews as possible.
This hatred comes from the same place that Yasser Arafat unleashed more terror on Israelis in 2001 right after he rejected the offer of a Palestinian state made by Israel’s left-wing Prime Minister Ehud Barak and by President Bill Clinton.
This hatred comes from the same place that Iran’s dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has repeatedly called for Israel’s annihilation.
This hatred comes from the same place that Egyptian, Palestinian, Syrian and other Arab and Muslim countries’ media regularly broadcast the most anti-Semitic propaganda since the Nazis.
Most Palestinians and most other Muslims in the Middle East, and many Muslims elsewhere, do not believe that a Jewish state should be allowed to exist, period, in an area once dominated by Islam. That — not Israeli apartment-building — is the problem.
So Madison, everyone who disagrees with the policy-making of the Israeli government is somehow automatically considered an "anti-semitic (or Jewish) bleeding heart?" Really? Where do you get your information from, Madison??
The problem is actually very simple-
1) The single largest issue at hand between the Jews and the Palestinians is the settlements. This has been stated many times by Pro-Palestinain causes.
2) Israel has refused to even acknowledge or consider the issue of settlements in their 'negotiations' with Palestinian authorities.
3) The U.S. adamantly supports Israel in all her ventures, regardless of moral boundaries or political ramifications. This includes large amounts of military aid, which are used against the Palestinians when conflict occurs.
4) The Arab world views the U.S. extremely critically due to our one-sided involvement and support of the Zionist government of Israel.
5) Thus we are subject to criticism and terrorism by certain radicalized Muslim groups because they view U.S. involvement as "anti-Islamic".
See? The whole issue, while complicated, is really quite basic at its core. The hard part is getting our politicians to condemn Israel for her criminal actions in lieu of the massive mounts of money put forth through lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill.
Perhaps you might do the same..educate ourself as to the region and its history..
You are certainly one sided as far as your education is concerned. How long should the Palestinians remain as they live now! I hate no one, but have empathy for all humans, not only the Jewish people of that area..It seems that feeling of wanting a Palestinian state is not what you would like...
Read all you can, if you choose not to educate yourself, within the walls of a school..use your common sense for a change...it has been 67 years, why not a Palistians state.....yes they lived on that land for thousands of years.....why not, even a tiny state of their own. Israel is well able, now, to take care of their own lives..Your love of Israel is fine, mine for peace in the area, includes peace for the Palestinian as well.
The League of Nations in 1918 and the United Nations have decided by overwhelming majority of the planet Earth' residends to devide this area between arabs & jews. The arabs didn't agree and attacked Israel several times, but they lost. A lot of arabs sold their land and run: now they call themselves "Palestinians". A lot of other arabs have chosen to stay in Israel. Israel has since returned its war achievements to Egypt & Jordan and have peace with them. Israel has returned Gaza to the new national entity "Palestina" and got back thousands rockets & killings of innocent civilians. Palestinians have been offered 97% whatever they had before arabs attacked Israel, but even 200% will not make a peace. The last murderer of 3 kids and their parents has been declared a national hero in Gaza. I'd say the chances of peace are pretty slim: they don't want "a tiny state of their own".
Wow talk about using soundbites Madison Bell used Obama Hussein which is a product of the Fox/Faux News machine. How hypocritical is that. Instead of arguing the issues many people will stick to the same old catchphrases to stand by.
Israel is losing American support and soon will find itself alone... either stop the settlements or stop receiving America's money. I vote for stopping the settlements!!!
Yes Ron. we need our tax payers money to build homes in America, rebuild our infracstructure, education system, health care, . . etc. Not in ilegal construction by Israel y Palestinian land
Israel is a democratic country that respects human life above all else
That's also laughable. What is it about this topic that brings out such nutty responses? Israel started it's very existence by helping Hitler find hidden jews in Germany and Poland because he would deport about 3 out of every 100 of them to Israel and Israel wanted those extra Jews to bolster the jewish population there... they didn't care that the other 97 out of a hundred were being systematically exterminated.
Since that time they have shown absolutely no regard for the lives of the indigenous population either.
The writer left out the part where the U.S. condemned Canada for new construction in Toronto. Shame on them for wanting to build new homes on their land.
Good ol' Dennis... an ignorant fool with no actual facts to back up anything he says.
"Reclaimed their nation...." uh, dummy hate to point it out, but what do you have to back that statement up? Some biblical text (oh, because religion is always based on FACT!)..... There were people there long before the the Israeli settlers showed up.
I'm still waiting to hear the Obama administration complain about the atrocity Friday nite where Arab/ Moslem terrorists stabbed a husband and wife and their 3 children to death. So President Obama thinks it's OK that that the PA foments hatred and incites violence against Jews 24/7, and it's OK that the PA glorifies terrorists and terrorism, and it's OK that the PA rejects the existence of a Jewish state. But if Jews should build housing for Jews on Jewish owned land, that requires criticism. I, and all decent people, condemn the Obama administration's anti-Israel bigotry.
Where is your proof that the family was killed by Palestinians?
The family lived in an Israeli Settlement, Itamar, in the West Bank, which is land that belongs to Palestinians. These Settlement are NOT open to Palestinians, so how did they get in and out of the secure Jewish enclave?
This tragedy was likely committed by other Violent Israeli Settlers, but there is no evidence on who was responsible! Only hear-say!
Not to mention, Doug, that any criticism by our government of Israel's unlawful settlements is an extremely rare occurrence. The fact that our government is finally acknowledging this issue is paramount to reigning in Israel's over-reaching 'manifest destiny' and making a step towards achieving a real peace treaty.
You act as if the Obama administration is somehow bullying the Israeli government, but in reality Obama has previously said little to nothing about the matter, at least publically. In fact, I recall a year ago Rahm Emmanuel was speaking to AIPAC at a dinner when Pres. Obama could not be available, and I watched as Emmanuel specifically stated that the issue of settlements was NOT going to be a factor in determining any future peace negotiations. Of course, this made the Jewish lobby very contented, though no one bothered to ask the Palestinians (you know, the OTHER side of the peace negotiations) how they felt about the matter.
So stop spouting off about subjects you do not fully comprehend. If your view of the situation is this myopic, please do not bother posting. Thanks.
Hamas has already declared the murderer a Palestinian National Hero and you're still implying that it was a Jew? That's just showing there you are from...
Alexander 898989 Hamas has already declared the murderer a Palestinian National Hero and
So? the PA under PM Abbas has condemned the attack. What's your point?
Alexander 898989 you're still implying that it was a Jew? That's just showing there you are from...
There is no information on suspects that connect this act of violence to Palestinians. Anything about their identity is speculation! You should actually read the News Article!
The Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, a mostly defunct Palestinian militant group, took responsibility for the attack. However, they frequently claim to be behind attacks they didn't do in hopes of raising their profile.
So it wasn't them
Israeli settlers sometimes carry out revenge attacks on Palestinian targets, either in retaliation for Palestinian violence or for Israeli government actions against settlers. The attacks, known as "price tag" diplomacy, include vandalism, destruction of crops or physical attacks.
But it could have been done by a Jewish Settler...
So? the PA under PM Abbas has condemned the attack. What's your point? - post 8.4
Abbas and the PA have no authority over Gaza. it is Hamas. where is the condemnation from Hamas?
The Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, a mostly defunct Palestinian militant group, took responsibility for the attack. However, they frequently claim to be behind attacks they didn't do in hopes of raising their profile.
So it wasn't them - post 8.4
how do you know it wasnt them? nothing states they didnt do it, and they claimed to have done it.
i have never stated they did it, YOU however have most certainly claimed they unequivocally did not. what proof do you offer? or is this simply another of your lies?
Israeli settlers sometimes carry out revenge attacks on Palestinian targets, either in retaliation for Palestinian violence or for Israeli government actions against settlers. The attacks, known as "price tag" diplomacy, include vandalism, destruction of crops or physical attacks.
But it could have been done by a Jewish Settler... - post 8.4
according to the article YOU quoted, shows Israelis target palestinians, or Israeli gov't. this is about an Israeli family being MURDERED and you make a statement that it could be a Jewish settler.
again i refer you to your own words.
Maybe if Israelis didn't deserve it I'd have some sympathy! - post #1 (always first to display your hatred).
And? jackey64 what is your rant suppose to mean? You're not making any sense. Learn how to use the QUOTE Function or I won't respond to you!
I said it wasn't that Palestinian group because it isn't credible, not even Israel take it serious. Yet you do? Are you purposely portraying yourself as a Hypocrite?
I said it could have been violent Israeli Settlers. Notice how I didn't rule them out like you do, but said it could be them... What I quoted from the article making note of Violent Israeli Settlers! what part of that is hard for you to understand?
Maybe if Israelis didn't deserve it I'd have some sympathy! - post #1 jackel64 (always first to display your hatred).
I still see no hatred, other then towards the Israeli government; and I don't deny that. Keep repeating the same LIES, but it won't make it true!
You keep talking but I'm not hearing anything. Why do you go out of your way to show how pro-Israel you are, yet they commit the same terrorism as Arabs. Funny how ONE-SIDED you are!
The whole world should criticize Israel. The United Nations should place sanctions against Israel. Most importantly America should immediately cease all foreign aid to Israel. One day America will wake up and realize how big a mill weight Israel is around America's neck.
The U.N. is nothing more than a toothless paper tiger. They cannot impose sanctions on Israel because we would use out VETO power to stop the U.N. from acting on it. We will veto anything that will hurt Israel.
Then America should come to its senses and stop sending Israel all that foreign aid. World nations of their own accord should stop trading/selling to Israel. There is more than one way to skin a cat.
We can 'criticize' 'till the cows come home, but until we stop sending military aid to Israel nothing will change. The current President, like his predecessors before him, talks tough while writing bigger and bigger checks to Tel Aviv every year. Why should Israel take us seriously knowing they can continue stealing land and laugh at the American taxpayer at the same time?
US presents a BS statement such as "we are deeply concerned" while supplying Israel with billions of US taxpayers dollars to make all this expansion possible... What a hypocrisy...
Right on Max. I'm sick of these meaningless diplomatic statements condemning Israel that mean absolutely nothing. We just keep writing the checks and they reciprecate by saying fvck you. It's about time we cut off all aid. These people have never been our friends or allies.
Yes Max. we need money to build houses in the USA, fix infrastructure, education, health care, create JOBS in America. Not in bulididng ilegal houses for Israels in Palestain
America also pays for their military. We also just sent them BILLIONS for an air defense sheild. We don't have one here in America but we can build them one. Spend, spend, spend...
You do realize that the money we give Israel helps the American economy (ie Boeing and Lockheed Martin) as 75% of American Aid to Israel MUST be spent on American products. We also give Egypt money and many other nations. Israel and Egypt got US funds due to the peace treaty.
Grunt - america also pays for a lot of other nations militaries. Do you single them out in other forums as well?
Archeim, if giving away free money to other countries helps the donor's economy, maybe Israel should give US 20 billion dollars a year for the next 40 years? We will gladly spend 75% of it on goods made in Israel.
Or maybe we should spend our tax payers money on education, health care, infrastructure, JOBS instead of ilegal construction by Israel on Palestinian lands.
Absolutely, we should be spending our tax money building houses in America, fixing our infracstructure, education, health care, salaries, JOBS. Not in ilegal construction by Israel on Palestinian land.
Of course Israel has made mistakes, but the sheer viciousness and venom shown against it has proven why it feels that it is constantly under attack and must defend itself. We have even reached the point where "Zionist" is an insult, even though it was once an honored title on the left.
Don't forget: Israel already has enough nukes to level that entire area including Iran. It will take only one mistake by Iran and Israel will defend themselves to no end. Is that what you want?
And Duhbya [sic] got rid of Saddam so Iran could do whatever it wants. Now we want Gadhafi gone, and I predict it won't belong before we miss him!
It is time all western governments stopped aiding Israel. If God promised the land to Israelis, it's God's job to continue to arm and feed them, and help them to continue the war crimes which got them to the Promised Land in the first place, three-thousand years ago.
Yes John, especially now that we are cutting on education, health care, pensions, salaries,. . etc, we cannot affort supporting the ilegal construction by Israel on Palestinian lands
Israel took the land called Palestine, I suppose because their 'Book' said God promised it to them (as good a reason as any). America took the land called America from the Indians. One group of people taking the land of another group of people happens. A stronger group moves in and the weaker group is moved out. So far, the Israeli's have fought successfully to keep the land they took from the Palestinians. My guess is they will continue to do so. Perhaps what makes the Israeli situation so unusual is that it happened recently. America began moving the Indians out a few hundred years ago, same with Australia, by the way, and it just doesn't make the news anymore. In two hundred years, the Palistinians will be remembered about like the Indians are today. Think about it, Americans kept moving west, so, I'm not surprised that the Israeli's keep building settlements. Are you?
When Saddam Hussein moved to Kwait we called that an ilegal invation and took him out. destroyed him! But the Jews taken Palestian land is Ok. and the USA is paying for the construction with tax payers money while we are cutting on education. health care, . etc in order to fix our economy.
Hippocrates of Cos: It is just like stonesoup68 to make jokes about Palestinian suffering. This is why I have no sympathy for Israelis, because of people like you!
Yeah - damn anyone with a sense of humor! There's no need for that in this world! Don't you know that Newsvine is serrrrrrrrrrrrious business?!
US criticizes Israeli settlement construction plan
We should also be critical of the nut cases that killed that family. And if not for the adults then at least for the children. Let one of the Arab countries give some of their land to the Palestinians. I don't see ANY of them offering that up as a solution.
Chaka, you should be careful about saying things like that. The FBI might be watching, and they can probably trace you. I hope.
And Mark, I will say it again if you insist...Israel BOUGHT the land, going back to the late 19th century: You can read all about it in James Joyce's Ulysses. They acquired additional holdings when they were used as attack bases three times.
Silly person, there is no "buying" of land in the absence of a legally recognized ownership, especially where hundreds of thousands of disenfranchised and powerless people are concerned. This sort of seventh grade notion of historical events seems to permeate all of your posts, and is rather cringe-inducing. Further, citing a work of fiction to support your misguided assertions is also very telling.
Hippocrates is a HIPOCRIT. Anybody looking at the Palestinian school books can see the incitment. Furthermore, the Fatah just consecrated a monument for a murderer who killed 37 innocent israeli civilians. This is not incitment?
If Hippocrates loves so much the palestinian cause he/she should go to live in palestinian territory - either West Bank or even better Gaza!
Andy-2529343 Anybody looking at the Palestinian school books can see the incitment.
And what about Israeli school books? Israel outright bans teaching the Al-Nakba, the Palestinian side of history, in their schools because it could make Israelis sympathize with Palestinians. Al-Nakba or "the Catastrophe" is the Arabic term to describe the displacement or ethnic cleansing of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians during the 1948 Palestine war.
Palestinian books don't teach their children that Israelis have the right to live there on land once belonging to their grandparents! Why would they! It isn't the same as teaching children to hate or kill!
Andy-2529343 Furthermore, the Fatah just consecrated a monument for a murderer who killed 37 innocent israeli civilians
At Goldstein's funeral, Rabbi Yaacov Perrin claimed that even one million Arabs are "not worth a Jewish fingernail"
Or just like the Lavon Affair! In March 2005, Israel publicly honored the surviving operatives of that terrorist operation, and President Moshe Katsav presented each with a certificate of appreciation for their efforts on behalf of the state, ending decades of official denial by Israel.
Cutting education, health care, pensions, . . etc, while paying with our tax payers money for ilegal construction by Israel on Palestinian ocupied land is not the way to fix our economic problems
It seems like you can count the number of Israeli extremists that have performed actions contrary to the moral beliefs of the overwhelming majority of Israeli citizens on one hand while the number of Muslim/Palestinian terrorists are more numerous than the number of stars in the sky.
As for your original post questioning how we know that the people responsible for the killings were Palestinians and not Jewish extremists doesn't even warrant an answer. Regardless of what your warped and deranged view of the situation between the Israelis and Palestinians clearly seems to be what differentiates the Palestinians/Muslim Extremists from every other race, religion, ethnic group, nationality etc. is respect for human life.
At the very MINIMUM the Jewish people even in their darkest hour have never resorted to turning themselves into walking detonators and (I can't believe I'm even typing these words) raise their children to not only glorify these repulsive and barbaric actions but hope that they will someday do the same is delusional beyond any sane human being's comprehension.
I am a Jew. I am in no way trying to hide that fact. And while I personally have not experienced the horrors my ancestors faced throughout numerous periods since the creation of the world I can at least say that their is not one single shred of evidence where a Jewish mother looks into her newborn baby boy's eyes and smiles as she proceeds to strap explosives to his tummy in order to "glorify" God.
I personally know many people that have been seriously hurt or killed by Palestinian terrorists but not once did the idea EVER enter my mind to extract revenge upon them by killing innocent people -especially children. Babies.
To try and equate or justify the cold blooded murder of innocent men, women and children whether it be on a bus, in a mall or while they're sleeping soundly in the comfort of their own beds to the so called "Plight of the Palestinians", "The Occupation" or "Land Grab" is just so warped and satanic that just knowing that people like you exist who try to legitimize it on a daily basis as a method of "freedom fighting" has pretty much ensured that the differences between Islam and the West will never be resolved because there is unfortunately a very clear and very bleak fundamental flaw at Islam's core that is being manipulated by a very powerful extremist majority throughout the world.
If you can't at least agree with me that killing babies over land is beyond wrong then how can you ever expect the Israelis and Palestinians to overcome a border dispute involving a few kilometers?
As for MSNBC, well I ask you this: How do you sleep at night when a family is mutilated in their sleep? How do you have the audacity to lie in wait for the inevitable Israeli response so you can make the headline and write most of the article with a focus on "settlement construction" instead of what really triggered the Israeli announcement?
Really? What are you trying to accomplish? You're no better than the terrorists themselves because you're basically abetting them. It would be bad enough to look the other way or ignore the murder entirely but you guys took things one step further. You made Israel again look like the bad guy.
I can only imagine what your homepage would look like had an Israeli performed such a crime against a Palestinian family. Or even scarier, what the Palestinian's (let alone the rest of the Muslim world) reaction might be. Just try to keep things in perspective here. As "inciting" as building settlements might be to the Palestinians the Israeli government's call to resume settlement construction did not (and will not) cause any loss of human life for the Palestinians. As for the Palestinian reaction to these "new developments" (pardon the pun), it's really up to them as to how they want to react. And as history has shown I don't think it's going to be as tepid as the Israeli response.
I think that Netanyahu said it best:
"While Palestinians believe that the answer to their problems lies in destroying lives, the Jewish people just keep on building."
godlikesme It seems like you can count the number of Israeli extremists that have performed actions contrary to the moral beliefs of the overwhelming majority of Israeli citizens on one hand while the number of Muslim/Palestinian terrorists are more numerous than the number of stars in the sky.
That's just erroneous! There is equal terrorism on both sides. Funny how you support Israel's terrorism by saying they don't represent Israel, Yet at the same time you claim Palestinian terrorism is representable of them all...
Check out the links and you'll see an Equal amount of Terrorism committed by both sides! No amount of Terrorism is acceptable!
godlikesme I personally know many people that have been seriously hurt or killed by Palestinian terrorists
What about Palestinians seriously hurt or killed by Israeli terrorists. 10x as many Palestinian civilians have died as compared to Israeli civilians.
godlikesme If you can't at least agree with me that killing babies over land is beyond wrong then how can you ever expect the Israelis and Palestinians to overcome a border dispute involving a few kilometers?
You seem to forget both sides kill civilians, women and children. So why are you so willing to over look that and only blame Arabs?
"While Palestinians believe that the answer to their problems lies in destroying lives, the Jewish people just keep on building."
Seems one-sided. Tries to paint Israelis as the victim and not the aggressor. Come back when you are willing to accept Israel commits the same crimes and atrocities!
Rabbi Yaacov Perrin claimed that even one million Arabs are "not worth a Jewish fingernail"
godlikesme At the very MINIMUM the Jewish people even in their darkest hour have never resorted to turning themselves into walking detonators
Zionists have resorted to suicide attacks, and they have bombed buses, hotels, mosques, schools and hospitals. The IDF also uses human shields in their neighbor procedure and they often use children.
We need to pull out of the Middle East altogether and spend the money paying off the government credit card. Jehovah is perfectly capable of helping Israel to keep the "promised" land, and genocide has always been okay for Israelis. Anybody who thinks God the Father got religion after Jesus was born does not know history.
Okay, go ahead and criticize Israel. But for the love of Pete...stop pussy-footing around when a blatant attack or rhetoric coming from Islamic fundamentalists takes place. Call it for what it is. Has ANYONE heard of ANYONE in this administration uttered the words "Muslim terrorist?"
Zevron, if that "awkward" comment means that you are Jewish, then I would like to ask the usual question. How will you really feel, if Israel is destroyed, along with 1/3 to 1/2 of all the Jews in the world.
Great Britain did NOT attack the USS Liberty, Israeli government thugs did and have gotten away with it. It was a deliberate attack on a US Navy ship that was in international waters on 8 June 1967. Israel is NO friend to the US. All money to Israel should have been stopped long ago.
US military command has informed israelis that there were no US ships in 100-miles war zone. This is why USS "Liberty" got hit. Please, read the US Navy & the State Department documents. But you will insist that "Zionists" ruled the US Congress investigation. It was just unfortunate friendly fire. There were a lot of unfriendly navy ships, including Warsaw Pact's, used as decoys.
Many people investigated that incident and the US government concluded that concluded the attack was a mistake due to confusion about the identity of the USS Liberty. Stop spewing your lies.
The attack on the USS Liberty was No mistake. Those thugs knew exactly what they were doing and they knew it was a US Navy ship. And as long as our ships are in international waters we don't inform the Israelis or anyone else where our ships are. The US military does not answer to Israel.
This matter will be settled through negotiations or force of arms, and nothing besides. If any of you think that providing one more historical argument will convince either side of their illegitimacy and lead to a subsequent withdrawal, you are truly delusional.
Israel should officially annex the sections of the West Bank it wants, build a wall, and tell the rest to go to hell.
Palestinian muslims kill about 700 Americans, wounded 1600, while American government provides financial support in the amount over $1B/Y.
Unlike America, Israel witj capitol of Jerusalem has over 3500 year history. Palestinan has no history, thier ethnicity was invented about 30 years ago.
Two state solution was implemented in 1922 when british administartion of occupied Israel allocated over 76% of Israel territory to muslims and created Jordan. Thus, all muslims must be relocated there.

"Unlike America, Israel witj capitol of Jerusalem has over 3500 year history. Palestinan has no history, thier ethnicity was invented about 30 years ago."-
Are you suggesting a people's only legitimate claim to a land is rooted in their ethno-historical relevance to that land? A relevance that must reach back into antiquity? Following this logic, you must be feverishly pounding away at your keyboard posting anti-colonial sentiments on Native American websites demanding that the U.S. be returned to their rightful owners. Or does your logic only apply to Israel?
Palestinian muslims kill about 700 Americans, wounded 1600, while American government provides financial support in the amount over $1B/Y.
Unlike America, Israel witj capitol of Jerusalem has over 3500 year history. Palestinan has no history, thier ethnicity was invented about 30 years ago.

Obama should leave Israel alone, he has no right to tell them what to do. There is no other God but God of Israel. I support whatever the Jews and Israel want to do to fullfill the prophecies of the soon coming Messiah.
I love how you and other haters on this blog bring in the USS Liberty incident--an incident that took place over 40 years ago and declared an accident by the US government itself, as a reason to hate on Israel. Israel was in the midst of a war trying to defend herself again the Arab thugs that attacked.
Why don't we talk about Arab thugs? We have about a 1000 modern-day examples to chose from! Get a life!
Arabs attacked to retake lost territory. Seems you are slanted everything in favor of Israel and ignoring the facts and core issues!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yom_Kippur_War
In 1973, Egyptian and Syrian forces crossed ceasefire lines to enter the Israeli-held Sinai Peninsula and Golan Heights respectively, which had been captured and occupied since the 1967 Six-Day War. The conflict led to a near-confrontation between the two nuclear superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union,
Because Israel stole land because they feel it was given to them by god and is theirs forever. They feel they have a birth right to steal the land and drive the Arabs into extinction, just live Israelis did to the Canaanites some 3000 years ago!
That land was not used to attacked Israel because Israel stole that land after it started the 1967 Six-Day War! Israel attacked first with an airstrike on Egypt! This was called Operation Focus and ISraeli pilots were training for this for months in advance!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Focus
Allies tend to work in the same direction, this does not seem the case here
They did not emigrate to Mandate Palestine with the permission of the British or the Arabs!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliyah_Bet
Aliyah Bet was the code name given to illegal immigration by Jews to the British Mandate for Palestine in violation of British White Paper of 1939 restrictions, in the years 1934-1948. In modern day Israel it has also been called by the Hebrew term Ha'apala
The Zionists responded by organizing illegal migration which the British countered by blockading Palestine. This resulted in some famous incidents invoking Jewish Refugees trying to illegally enter Mandate Palestine.

LMAO. Didn't the Jews leave Europe and the Soviet Union because they were subject to attack and persecution. Maybe they found themselves subject to attack and persecution in Palestine because they were trying to steal land from Arabs to recreate the land of Israel from themselves!
I wonder when Israel will start to realize that she is her own source for hatred in this World. GREED is the biggest part for this hatred. You reap what you sow. You simply can not continue to bully people around and expect them to love you for it.
Dennis, read the COH once more.
Israel is not our friend. To the contrary, we are its servant, as publicly stated by Sharon:
We, the Jewish people, control America and the Americans know it.
-- Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon
October 3, 2001
"They murder, we build," this says it all those with moral values build, but the muslim fanatics do what their moon god has taught them MURDER babies! it is very clear which side the USA supports and it is not the brainwashed fanatic followers of mohammed!
Dennis agree about ''hippocrates'' ''you're an idiot, . . you obviously know nothing of the real history'' Thanks for your post EXCELLENT! post#1.1
Gray beard keep you insults and rants to yourself
Arabs were the majority and made up 90% while Jews only made up 2%.... Then came mass Jewish emigration to Palestine with the intent to steal the land for themselves. These are the FACTS you want to ignore!
Wrong! The 1967 Six Day War started with Operation Focus, Israel launched an Air Strike against Egypt. Israel attacked first and Israel was also war mongering. Typical of your to twist the facts and blame Arabs!

Ya see, the problem with the internet, is all the information is out there.

If you're going go as far back as to accept a majority since 634, why cant we go back 2000 years ago? Does your time machine only go back so far?
where is the condemnation of the murder of the Israeli's?
Hamas is notably silent, as is the world...
The reason the Israelis know which group did it is obvious - it's the group they've been killing and stealing land from all along. Who else would hate them so much?
hippocrite of course,
Maybe if Israelis didn't deserve it I'd have some sympathy! - post #1 (always first to display your hatred).
your goosestepping hatred of Israeli's has been noted.
Dennis S-1113342, you are suspended for a day for violating rule # 1 of the Code of Honor.
PeAcE LoVeR-2838047, make it a week. Not your first suspension.
Hate? that's a little harsh; Apathy and contempt, but not Hate.
CIA World Factbook
The population of Israel is 7,437,052 (approximately 1,255,472 of those are Muslims)
The combined population of the West Bank and Gaza strip is 4,255,472
That means there are approximately 750,000 more non-Muslims. The population growth rate of Israel is 1.584% while the population growth rate of Gaza Strip is 3.210% and the population growth rate of the West Bank is 2.097%.
Eventually there will be more Muslims in Israel/Gaza Strip/West Bank. I have already read articles where some Palestinians have given up on a two state solution. They are planing to start a fight against the apartheid because the non-Muslims will soon be a minority.
hippocrite,
Hate? that's a little harsh - post 1.31
Maybe if Israelis didn't deserve it I'd have some sympathy! - post 1
no, it isnt a 'little harsh' you have a hatred for Israelis as evidenced by your own post. i dont put words into your mouth, you put them there yourself.
continue in your goosestepping.
Jews, Christians and Muslims need to learn to share the city as each faith has historic ties to the city and none will be satisfied unless they have access to their holy sites.

how did you come to the conclusion that it was a threat? how clueless does one have to be to ponder the statement?

Baruch Goldstein had a monument erected celebrating his terrorism and it was right next to Meir Kahane Memorial Park in Kiryat Arba; which is named in memory of Rabbi Meir Kahane, founder of the Israeli far-right political party Kach, a group classified by the United States and the Israeli governments as a terrorist organization.

From the article Israel approves settlements after killings:
The attack Friday night in Itamar, home to some of Israel's most radical settlers, was the deadliest against Israelis in years, and security forces were on alert Sunday for possible settler retaliation against Palestinians.
While I have sympathy for those that died, I find the following to be interesting since it was 5 days prior to the attack:
Israel PM warns settlers over 'price tag' attacks
Somehow I either missed this article on MSNBC or they failed to cover it. I tried to do a search on MSNBC, but was unable to find anything.
I think the likelihood the attacks were done by radical Israeli settlers is just as likely as it being done by radical Muslims. Radicals are radicals, they don't act rationally.
Kind of makes one stop to pause and wonder if what they have been told is only one half of the story.
Ben Franklin, "Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see."
From the article Israel approves settlements after killings - dated 3/13/2011 (Sunday)
Translation: The US said, obviously we agree with the whole world that Israel is committing an illegitimate land grab... but you can't really expect us to go "on record" as saying that, and vote against Israel... Have you never heard of AIPAC??? They practically own the senate and congress.
Sounds eerily reminiscent of tacticts a certain German party about 50 years ago.... round them up!
Wel... that's helpful. (sarcasm)
Well, that IS helpful... (no sarcasm)
Uh oh... watch Israel... can you withstand this unprecedented verbal nuclear assault of polite US criticism?
And yet you take $7,000,000 of our tax-payer dollars EVERY SINGLE DAY... and you need US to veto resolutions and stick up for you against the entire rational world that KNOWS your actions are wrong and illegal, and we have to defend you regardless... without the US, Israel would have been continually at war with half the Arab world, and WITHOUT the Nukes we gave you that you supposedly don't have.
Israel already did that... it was called operation "Cast Lead"...
I'm beginning to think you are a Troll pretending to be a Jew/Israeli... No Israeli could be so ignorant of what would happen if US support were to vanish...
And to all you anti-semetic bleeding hearts...go educate yourself with more than sound bites you pick up here and there.
laughable
Israel is no more Democratic then Gaza. Both countries elected their leaders from an elite group of hard line Terrorists. Israel's ruling Party is the Likud Party which evolved directly from the Jewish Terrorist groups Irgun, Lehi and Haganah.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Likud

Anti- Semitic ? The Palestinians are Semites ..
ab-2261494--I guess you cannot tell from the context of my posting what I meant, so let me clarify: Anti-Jews!
It is a region, and the Arabs living in that region since 634 CE have identified themselves with that land. It is known to them as ÙÙسطÙÙ Filasá¹Ä«n. Maybe you are the one who needs to educate yourself!
That is just erroneous at its core! You are ignoring the Core issues and playing the race card. No one will take you serious!
So what about all those Jewish groups against Zionism and Israel's government? Are they self hating Jews?
Neturei Karta Orthodox Jews United Against Zionism is an international organization of Orthodox Jews dedicated to the propagation and clarification of Torah Judaism.
True Torah Jews Against Zionism is a non-profit organization of Orthodox Jews dedicated to informing the world that all Jews do not support the Zionist state called Israel.
Jews against Zionism Contrary to the propaganda put out by Israel's supporters, Israel is NOT supported by the majority of the world's Jewish people
http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/03/nyregion/03fire.html
What part of, they came back and started kicking people out of their homes do you zionist-lovers NOT UNDERSTAND???
Madison Bell,
Perhaps you might do the same..educate ourself as to the region and its history..
Israel is well able, now, to take care of their own lives..Your love of Israel is fine, mine for peace in the area, includes peace for the Palestinian as well.
mrsmajor,
To be simply said:
Dan-1845101, you are suspended for a day for violating rule # 1 of the Code of Honor.
Thanks.
Hippocrates of Cos,
Hamas has already declared the murderer a Palestinian National Hero and you're still implying that it was a Jew? That's just showing there you are from...
So? the PA under PM Abbas has condemned the attack. What's your point?
There is no information on suspects that connect this act of violence to Palestinians. Anything about their identity is speculation! You should actually read the News Article!
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42039838/ns/world_news-mideastn_africa
So it wasn't them
But it could have been done by a Jewish Settler...
As well as by North Korean Dictator Kim...
Boooo!! No more money and support until the settlements are stopped...
hippocrite,
So? the PA under PM Abbas has condemned the attack. What's your point? - post 8.4
Abbas and the PA have no authority over Gaza. it is Hamas. where is the condemnation from Hamas?
So it wasn't them - post 8.4
how do you know it wasnt them? nothing states they didnt do it, and they claimed to have done it.
i have never stated they did it, YOU however have most certainly claimed they unequivocally did not. what proof do you offer? or is this simply another of your lies?
Help balance our budget by stop sending billions every year to Israel. The US pays for every house built in those settlements.
Israel dosen't want peace. They are the reason Iran is building nukes.
I would gladly give my life,if i could end Netenyahu's life!
chaka this is exactly why the USA SUPPORTS ISRAEL and not the human firecra ckers that follow the moon god!
Wasn't chaka a character from the old kids show "land of the lost"?
Bye Bye Chaka...
Are you?
Will they have Casinos?
It is just like stonesoup68 to make jokes about Palestinian suffering. This is why I have no sympathy for Israelis, because of people like you!
If this was a forum about clowns, but it's not. He was making jokes at other people's suffering while trying to avoid a valid point by the poster!
And? Doesn't Israel praise and build monuments for their Terrorists?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baruch_Goldstein
Or just like the Lavon Affair! In March 2005, Israel publicly honored the surviving operatives of that terrorist operation, and President Moshe Katsav presented each with a certificate of appreciation for their efforts on behalf of the state, ending decades of official denial by Israel.
No, It's misguided Hero worship. The same misguided thinking Israel has. Or should I post more about Israel honoring their Terrorists too!
Try to refuse my logic...
Hypocrisy and double standards are common place when people talk about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I can admit it why can't everyone else
Cutting education, health care, pensions, . . etc, while paying with our tax payers money for ilegal construction by Israel on Palestinian ocupied land is not the way to fix our economic problems
Hippocrates of Cos -
It seems like you can count the number of Israeli extremists that have performed actions contrary to the moral beliefs of the overwhelming majority of Israeli citizens on one hand while the number of Muslim/Palestinian terrorists are more numerous than the number of stars in the sky.
That's just erroneous! There is equal terrorism on both sides. Funny how you support Israel's terrorism by saying they don't represent Israel, Yet at the same time you claim Palestinian terrorism is representable of them all...
Israeli Terrorism
Palestinian Terrorism
Check out the links and you'll see an Equal amount of Terrorism committed by both sides! No amount of Terrorism is acceptable!
What about Palestinians seriously hurt or killed by Israeli terrorists. 10x as many Palestinian civilians have died as compared to Israeli civilians.
You seem to forget both sides kill civilians, women and children. So why are you so willing to over look that and only blame Arabs?
Seems one-sided. Tries to paint Israelis as the victim and not the aggressor. Come back when you are willing to accept Israel commits the same crimes and atrocities!
Rabbi Yaacov Perrin claimed that even one million Arabs are "not worth a Jewish fingernail"

The USA cannot cut spending on education and health care when our tax money in spent in ilegal construction by Israel.
Israel is not our friend! Remember the USS Liberty!!! 34 US servicemen killed and 174 wounded at the hands of Israeli forces!
Is America a Friend to Great Britain? Bill.
Bill-- you're either an idiot or a hater.
Wikipedia is not as credible source of historic information.

Two state solution was implemented in 1922 when british administartion of occupied Israel allocated over 76% of Israel territory to muslims and created Jordan. Thus, all muslims must be relocated there.
Wikipedia is not as credible source of historic information.
Just give the land back and go find another planet to steal the land from its inhabitants.
Or does your logic only apply to Israel?
ask native american
Mark,
"ask native american"
Will do, Tarzan.
Obama should leave Israel alone, he has no right to tell them what to do. There is no other God but God of Israel. I support whatever the Jews and Israel want to do to fullfill the prophecies of the soon coming Messiah.
Take "your god" and shove IT. Mindless gibberish.
So you also support the criminal attack on the USS Liberty by the Israeli thugs as well.
GTR5--
I love how you and other haters on this blog bring in the USS Liberty incident--an incident that took place over 40 years ago and declared an accident by the US government itself, as a reason to hate on Israel. Israel was in the midst of a war trying to defend herself again the Arab thugs that attacked.
Why don't we talk about Arab thugs? We have about a 1000 modern-day examples to chose from! Get a life!
GRJ, how long have you lived under this delusion - since you were too young to know better?
