Raising $200K does not mean that it was the NET amount raised. After you take out the total expenditures for putting on the event (conversion of the student dining hall into a luxury ballroom, security, etc., etc.), you have to wonder whether they really made any money on this event. How many students can no longer attend the school because of the massive tuition increase? How many classes were dropped because limited funds were spent to put on this event? What other "necessities" of the school have been eliminated because of the expenditures?

california state could go it alone very well fella, research it, then come back to me. also, you must not know anything about agriculture, or california state's climate either. california is an agricultural superpower. california exports ag, beef, poultry, rice, barley, alfalfa, etc. we have major ports in san diego, san pedro, san francisco, oakland, and inland ports to stockton even sacramento. this state does have operational and functioning oil wells running right now. we have a bankng center in san francisco, aerospace in southern california. we have a great junior college system. we have the california state and university of california systems (including cal berkeley and ucla), we have stanford, usc, the university of the pacific the harvey mudd colleges, the scripes, santa clara, the dominican schools like the university of san francisco which gave boston bill russel and casey russel.

we do quite a bit of this nations best technology innovation here.

and to throw a little dig at you. wouldn't you want to be in a situation where you had to make a decision whether to go to the beach, biking, surfing, hiking (in fields, mountains,etc), to the pinacles, santa cruz beach boardwalk, san francisco (the mission between 14th and 30th) streets is great on a saturday in the summer, or go to fisherman's wharf, big sur, monterey, maybe make a quick run to lake tahoe or reno and back. great clubs and dive bars.

Also, even if Palin did make her returns public, there would be no way to tell how much of her income came from this speech (unless this speech was the only income she received this year from a source in California); it would be included in the figure for her total earned income.

The University HAS released any and all records pertaining to this event that they have. But because you have not read the story AND payed attention to what it is that you are reading, you missed (and continue to miss) the really important point. That is that it was NOT the University that organized this event. And it was NOT the University that handled the contracts. It was an unaffiliated non profit organisation that did ALL of those things. And they are not legally obligated to tell any of you ANYTHING.
