How fricking disgusting, these people would kill and eat these beautiful animals. All for the sake of a buck.
What really bugs me is that these animals are probably 50+ years old (some may even be 80+ years old) only to bagged by some dumb ass poacher. Good job to whoever nailed these creeps.

Totally disgusting....but wonderful that they were found in time...another example of what a completely disposable society we live in and total lack of regard for these amazing creatures....
The stall owner should spend time in jail, pay a fine and have his stalled closed as a warning to other would-be poachers.
Are you kidding? The stall owner should be executed. The lives of the turtles were certainly on-the-line, so why not the jerk who perpetrated the crime?
Good job!! I have a special place for sea turtles in my heart. They are incredible creatures. I saw a documentary which showed that when they get exrtremely old they swim back to the exact place where they hatched where they eventually die a natural death.
This trade is disgusting and my hats off to the police. Hopefully the turtles are released in a very secluded area.

As our family of 4 is a frequent visitor to Bali, we are delighted that these turtles
have been rescued. Way to go law enforcement. Now, will they be released in an area where they can be better protected? Say Bali Barat? We hope so. Thanks to the Bali police.
And I thought turtles were becoming extinct because of the Louisiana oil spill. Guess they need to change that spin.
Hope the ygive this guy what he really deserves. Something that will make sure he never does this again and sends a message to the other poachers out there. Here in America we might tell him he's naughty and send him on his way because he has rights. Well, so do the turtles. They have a right to live freely as all wild animals do. These people over there are fricking sick anyway with the things they eat. I know it's their culture but it's been proven that they are endangered so if they kill them all for eating what will they do when they are all gone? No one can ever see past the end of their noses in this world.

Mmmmm, turtle. Tastes like chicken, veal, fish, pork, shrimp, frog legs, but mostly like turtle. Yum yum good.
I think a boycott of Japan is in order. They murder an untold number of endangered whales each year. Those turtles who were saved should be released back into the ocean, and laws should be passed to affix the death penalty to those who capture and kill turtles, whales, and other endangered species.
The perpetrators responsible would make tasty and nutritious morsels for hungry salt water crocs.
