I guess the kid is innocent and now it has become important for the JSO to baby sit the kids, because the parents do not know what their kids are up to.
Defend the JSO when they are right. But in this case the officer clearly was derelict in not filing a report. Just be thankful the Kid is still alive. If not the JS officer could be facing jail time instead of just looking for an other job. And hope the parents do not go to court and win a lawsuit against the JSO and the city.
Evey one from the parents and the school did what they should have.
