Charges upgraded from assault to attempted murder. Its about time they got wise and try to get people like him off the streets. Saying she pushed him first is a bunch of BS. They may tolerate beating women in the Islamic world, but not here in our country. Assaulting her because she refused to dance with him indicates to me severe pathological behavior. This should be treated as a hate crime and be eligible for all the penalties associated with such (yes, death penalty included).

It is a crying shame that women are trated so harshly in countries where men can say 'honor killing' and have nods of agreement from the population (of men). What century are we living in, when men, or leaders of nations can have the mentality of the stone age. Nothing will change until the statement "can't we all just get along" stops being a joke line. ...and I'm not wrong.
The public needs to follow this case closely. No plea bargains! He should never have been in the ladies' rest room to begin with--tack that on as well. After he has served his FULL sentence, ship his arse back to Morrocco.
