Our troops who are dying eight at a time in Afghanistan, and our 13 troops who were slaughtered on their own soil by a Muslim. The only errors I see are that he's pandering to the right. He should allow the health bill go to the senate without the 60 votes for cloture and let the Republicans, and Joe Lieberman take the heat for not getting anything done. To see how important this tragedy was to him all you need to do is watch his press conference on it. The newcaster announces that Obama will now address the Fort Hood shootings, and then you get two minutes of him thanking bureaucrats, campaigning, and doing "shout-outs." In my opinion, Newsvine suppresses our First Amendment rights to free speech. Those who garnered the most votes on page 1 (posts 1, 1.2, 1.3) were collapsed (bringing down so many others who contributed without divisiveness), even as all adhered to CoH and posted OPINIONS.

I get on here and protest Obama's actions, less for ideological reasons, but more for the fact that his policies that he is so fervently trying to push actually affect my business which in turn affects my day-to-day life. I am glad that President Obama attended the memorial service, I expect no less of the Commander In Chief. Our intelligence agencies as well as Hasan's commands dropped the ball (again in the case of intelligence) we had damn well better find out why. It also cost another 30 months of recovery as well as it may well have ended some careers. I was referring to Blacksheep. He or she is the one who referred to the President's color, that is minorities. You however, have this presumption that because, I like the majority of citizens of this country, support the President, mistakes and shortcomings and all. Watching President Obama give his speech to the family and friends of the dead Military Soldiers, he seemed quite uncomfortable looking into the eyes of the people. He looked to the side, looked up, and spoke to I don't know who. His eyes flit back and forth a lot. I'm not sure he really wanted to be there. Michelle looked comfortable.

This is his first test, with Terrorism on American soil. He will have to perform his duties as Commander in Chief like the previous Presidents, and follow Protocol. Military Protocal when deaths of soldiers come back home from War. It's the toughest job a President has to address.

What are his true thoughts about Military? Biden was in Ft. Lewis today speaking to the Stryker Brigade in Washington State.

This war on terror has been going on for far more than 30 years. It goes back to the birth of this, in the words of Franklin Graham, evil and wicked religion. They have been killing infidels since day one.

Our strategy hasn't worked because we don't prosecute wars as we should. During WWII, we bombed and continued to bomb until we broke the will of the people to fight. The people in this case included the soldiers and the civilians. It took two atomic bombs for Japan to surrender and Truman had the guts to drop a third if it became necessary.

Today, it is all about pin point strikes and collateral damage. War is war. It stinks and is a terrible thing, but it is sometimes a reality that must occur. I am an American. The people that attack my country are my sworn enemies. Do I pray for their souls, yes! At the sametime, when prosecuting a war against them, it is my hope that we take out far more of them than they do of us. During war, in my mind, an American life is worth more than theirs for the simple fact that I am an American! This war on terror will never end. There is no solution. You cannot bargain with people that have no regard for life or limb.

We should do what Truman did. Make it a parking lot.

His visit to Ft. Hood is damage control - nothing more - his concern for the military is minimal - he does seem to move quickly however where Islam is concerned ..
