High heels for babies: Cute or creepy?

Some people are getting a big kick out of an emerging fashion trend for baby girls - high heel crib shoes. Others are certain it's yet another sign that the republic really is going to perdition in a handbasket.

Putting heels on babies and very little girls is creepy. But it says more about the parent/s than I am sure they planned on when they purchased them. How about 'will do almost anything to keep up with trends', or 'here is another thing that will show the general public that my child has everything,, or any other scenario other than a nurturing, protective attittude toward your child. It seems and feels, when I see a small child or baby strugling to keep these shoes on, that a streak of immaturity and insecurity now reign instead of a Mom projecting a maternal sense about her child. Suri Cruise, notwithstanding.

Heels on babies and small children send the wrong message. As well as the fashion that tries to make small children and young girls look much older than they are. It makes the children feel as though they are older and therefore have the right to behave in a more adult fashion than they are ready to handle. IT ALSO GIVES THE WRONG IMAGE TO SOME OF THE SICK PEOPLE OUT THERE. Someone who is abusive to children( Pedophiles) see these images of children as adults and it reinforces their image of them as a partner in the activity while still allowing them to over power them because of their age, size and lack of experience. The fashion industry needs to stop fostering these images of babies and little children as adults in smaller bodies.
