During his 15-minute stay, President Barack Obama shook hands with customers and posed for pictures, eventually leaving the shop with some puppy treats for the family's dog, Bo.

OmG...stop the presses!!!!
what I want to know is when they have corn dogs and if they use ketchup or mustard, and if it is mustard regular stuff or fancy dijon stuff, very important news umm did anyone in the family, umm pass gas after eating?
MSNBC and NBC are the biggest morons ever.
Pathetic arse kissers
This is News? Who really cares?
read something else....
I am so glad they get to enjoy frozen custard!! As I look at a gal of milk up to $4 at wal-mart. Good for you obama..but one question...WHY THE HELL do you think we care? Fix this Nation like you promised dammit
hmmmm you said bad word......smile
A gallon of milk is only $2.65 at the Walmart here.....
Anomalee - you're right.
VIVA - LOL (smile, too)
Dragonwagon - I recommend you don't move to NJ ... Milk here is over $4.00/gallon, too.
Yeah, sucks to be you.....
Dragonwagon
It wasn't necessary to be crude in your post #2.6. I was simply stating the price of milk in NJ vs. wherever you live. Have a good evening, and if you are a dad, Happy Fathers Day tomorrow.
Yeah, and I was merely agreeing with you. Your life must really suck if you have to pay $4.00 a gallon for milk and you have nothing better to do on a Saturday night but complain about somebody else's dinner date....
Good evening to you too!!!!!!
"Drag gonwag" your life must suck too to sit here on a sat nite and cut people down on a forum. I think more like..it sucks to be you..I don't like to get mean but since you are so am I. Actually if you want the "better" milk at publix and or Walmart its $5.65 I live in Fla. Gas went up today to $2.69 a gal. so here we go again. I didn't hear anyone complaining about anyone's dinner date either..so anyway..sucks to be you to be home on a saturday nite cutting people down on a forum... I guess. p.s. you said "read something else"? well we don't want to read something else..and its not news worthy...who cares if the first dog or michelle eats custard..when people in our own country are going without food..no one cares thats who.
Thanks, Anomalee. Dragon has serious issues. I guess he doesn't realize that some of Americans might be married with children, don't go out very often because we don't have the money, or whatever other reason. His main issue is that the majority on this thread haven't agreed with him.
Another thing to consider is that he's an Internet troll planted here to instigate, which is all the more reason to 1. report him, 2. ignore him.
Sitting here on a Sat. night, cause my hubby just got in from Africa and has jet lag. So maybe in three days he will revive. Another point, the Gitmo Goobers in Bermuda.....price tag, 12 million dollars and all the frozen custard they want.
NJ,
You and the rest of the Ditto heads are complaining on a comment board from a MSNBC opinion piece about a father taking his daughters out for a treat the night before father's day....
And you say I have issues?
Draggon up @ 5am..you are still taking their bait...lol just like a catfish that eats everything! I have seen you insult anyone on here who makes a comment you don't like...and you talk about intelligence? An intelligent man would not take the bait and run with it...but then what was that old comment about a pig and lipstick? same as a catfish and any kind of bait..we are baiting you and you keep biting. When YOU have something intelligent to say maybe people will listen..until then keep eating crap...like that ole catfish...LMAO
Anomalee -
This morning, I refrained from making a comment about Dragonwagon's bottom feeder tendencies: rampant late-night posting and here again around 5AM with the sole purpose of exposing his/her ignorance through denigration of others.
He/she didn't notice that the article was an AP release, not an original MSNBC article. It also wasn't an opinion article, but listed under Top "News."I hope he's not a representative of the fine print reading capabilities of our American public.
I haven't had ice cream for months, and this article has reminded me that I'd like some!
Yep, still sucks to be you NJ......
And this is newsworthy why? And how? When Charlie Gibson takes over your television and allows his network to shill the health debacle your way directly from the White House, MSNBC will be right behind him. Can we say "Government Broadcast System???"
This is a story? Let me know when Obama the father stops spending my father's hard earned money to fund his pet projects. That'll be a story.
When is my Dad gonna get Medicaid to help with his cancer treatment bills???????
Obama, if anything, will cut Medicaid.
Hey! and YESTERDAY,, Obama's kids took a dump!
great reporting,, what a waste of flippin' time.
Who is the idiot network that set that off........cause here come the rest.
Sorry, press wrong button.......didn't mean to reply to you.
WOW! Intelligent AND coordinated. What a catch. Your husband is a lucky man.......(no wonder he's pretending to sleep.....)
Article two hours later: "Extended visit to the oval bathroom signifies President Obama's ability to relate to lactose intolerant people around the world."
guess he took the cosby kids for a swim
I think it's wonderful that the Obamas open their private lives so much to the rest of us. Imagine FDR, JFK, Reagan, and Ford opening up to us about the minutest details of their "movements."
It only goes to show that we finally have a president who's really got his finger on the pulse of America and really cares about each and every one of us.
His private bathroom is oval, too? Awesome! (lol)
His eating custard with his kids shows that he cares about each and every one of us and has his pulse on America? It shows nothing of the sort. It just shows how the media tends to fawn over the minutia of his family's life. If his office alerted the media to this little 'private life' moment, it also shows how willing he is to use his kids for publicity. How about if they want to go have a family moment and have custard, they just do it without the cameras and have as normal and private a family outing as possible with the required security measures.
JimBob -
My post 6.2 dripped with sarcasm. Sorry you took it seriously.
WOW what a great news story. Is he bailing out the ice cream companies now with my tax dollars?
Scenes of them working in the garden at 10:00 pm.
David, don't give him any ideas.
VIVA -
Darn, I missed it on the 10PM news ... I'll check and see if it's been posted on YouTube.
Nothing like a 100 word article about a father spending time with his children to send the "family values" crowd into a frenzy.
LU -
We're only 6 months into Obama's hope, change, and yes we can promises and already the more educated who voted for him are ruing their choice. Give the others a little more time to realize that "yes we can" didn't mean "the streets of the New World are paved with gold." Wait until a few more thousands of people are on unemployment. Yes, many will once again vote for him simply because he is 1/2 black and not even know what his positions are on key issues.
Wait until 2011 - that's when you'll see a real frenzy. You've not seen anything yet, dear.
As to your assessment about this thread's posters and their family values ... my grandfather and dad took my sister and me every Sunday for a pony ride and ice cream cone. Every Sunday for years is a lot more time than 15 minutes. I'm not saying that Obama's not a good dad. He very well might be, even though he's been in the public spotlight with little time for a stable, daily family life since these girls were born.
A 15 minute "great dad" photo op is only believable to lemmings.
Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! OMG! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
Jeez . . . THIS is newsworthy?! **shakes head**
Reading MSNBC is like looking at a car wreck, I check in daily just to see the crap they're writing about.
I am seriously afraid for this country.
LONDON! So true! I thought MSNBC was good....lol it sucks sorry m but you are dropping the ball as most of the stuff on here is what we Americans call "filler" "non essential" b/s.
Unbelievable! The world is going to hell in a handbasket and THIS is what MSNBC reports? NK is getting ready to launch an ICBM at Hawaii, Iran is in tumult, unemployment is highest in decades, the economy is going down the tubes, we're getting ready to have socialize medicine shoved down our throats, and you guys are having an orgasm cause his highness decides to have some ice cream with the peasants!?!?!
Of course, he's calm, cool, and happy. Why not, CRISIS is only an opportunity for Obama right? Well he's got plenty of opportunities. No wonder he's happily having ice cream!
It's ok. The facade is wearing off OB very fast, and you guys are only helping.
Shut up, I am trying to see what flavors they got and if with or without sprinkles. Leave them alone........was Michelle and BO the one that's honest there????
-
Will miracles never cease? Â He even got dog treats. Â Messianic!!!
I think it is great that he is spending time with his family, because a man who doesn't spend time with his family isn't much of a man at all But the people of our country didn't vote him in to watch just another reality show, they voted him in to do what he promised, to make a change but all I see is much of the same but with a reality show theme added in.
His "change" promises were smoke and mirrors from the start. People mistook his teleprompter rhetoric and aplomb for honesty. We've all started paying the price of his "honesty" within his first 6 months.
Three and one-half years of honesty and change to go, folks .... better start picking up the pennies you find on the street and saving them, because we won't have paper in our wallets for much longer.
I still want to know the designer or name brands of the girls' outfits so I can sleep tonight.
3 1/2 years and we may not even be here..the little people that is.
Even if I'm not here in 3-1/2 years, my son will be. He was swayed into voting for Obama by his college friends. Most of them have now seen the light as either 2009 graduates who can't find entry level jobs, menial labor, or summer employment. Tough lesson for them, but a lesson learned: never judge a book by its cover.
One more thing about Dragon - I've made some sarcastic comments meant as a joke about wanting to know about what the Obama girls were wearing ... Dragon relished in posting that I was a pervert with little girls. This guy is one sick person!
NJ .............>agreed.
What? You mean he is suppose to lead........the dog, the flies, the thugs on the payroll?
The reporter forgot to provide in-depth details as to what Sasha and Malia were wearing or how many doggie treats Bo ate!! How am I gonna sleep tonight??????
This is what MSNBC calls a Top Story? My next read is "9 reasons why President Obama is a great dad" ---- why did they stop at 9? I thought he represents America's middle class. Most middle class dads are great dads for dozens of reasons. Guess Obama didn't make the cut.
There aren't that many Bi-Racial Dads so we want to know, what's UP with that????
this is news, omg, people get a hold of yourselves this is just a mere human not a god, or a prophet. Like the bible says there will be many false prophets before me. I do not trust a public official, even if it is our president, who lies to feed the propaganda. I am taking about him claiming to miss the times he was able to walk his dog before being exposed to the secret service body guards, HELLO WHAT DOG!!!! When you finally decided to allow your children to get a dog it was when you entered the office, just another publicity propaganda stunt. I am amazed at peoples desperation where they think Obama will change anything he is nothing but a smooth talking sales person, and it looks like he would have made a fortune if he sold encyclopedias.
I am amazed at peoples desperation where they think Obama will change anything he is nothing but a smooth talking sales person, and it looks like he would have made a fortune if he sold encyclopedias.
ljl - you give him too much credit for being able to sell encyclopedias. The gullible bought snake oil years ago ... Obama's a snake charmer with a sideline in snake oil sales. Voters fell for bait advertising on an astonomical scale.
Such a wonderful photo op ... just in time for Fathers Day.
The dog he had in his smokie mind???????Maybe?
25 snide remarks in 15 minutes!!
That just might be a new record.
And you're all wearing your "I'm a good Christian" buttons, right??
LU -
Good to see you back again with more uncomplimentary remarks to your fellow Newsvine posters every time black or Negro is even remotely inferred or mentioned in an article. I especially loved your comments in defense of the black Harvard senior who was questioned regarding a murder a while ago, even though the majority of posters didn't accuse her and urged patience for evidence to be presented.
I'm surprised that you used Christianity as your attack this time. You typically call everyone except blacks the racists.
Seems like that chip on your shoulder gets bigger and heavier daily!
I'm not a Christian and I think all the remarks have been right on the money. MSNBC couldn't be more ridiculous. Putting this non-event in as a top story is shameful.
Run away..........TU
Yeah, and all the Bush daughters ever snacked on that made the news was Budweiser.....
Whine season sure came early this year....
Bush who? Oh, the past President, who cares? We got a new punching bag.
Newt Gingrich?
Sara Palin?
VIVA -
You're quick! Couldn't have said it better myself. I was making another post and didn't see Dragonwagon5's post in time. Good one!!
Dragonwagon - maybe you should take your political divisiveness to another forum. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me what Malia and Sasha were wearing so I can sleep tonight.
Or is the new punching bag Bobby Jindal? (How's that whine coming?)
Dragon -
You'd do better with me if you find out what the girls were wearing. I do want to sleep tonight.
Also - you might want to think about who's really doing the whining on this thread. You and LU would get my vote. The rest of us are fed up with Obama updates that are barely worth mentioning in supermarket rags.
Sorry NJ Perv
I'm not into little girls......(But I'm not judging. If that's your thing, knock yourself out)
Dragon -
Your 20.7 just got you reported to Newsvine. You've been on the brink of abusing CoE for a few hours, and I've had enough. You might want to think of a new screen name to use once you're banned.
You mean post 20.7, the one that is still posted just above 20.8?
And it's still there.....
And it's still there....
....and still there?
This "crap reporting" has been going on long since Obama took office. I remember watching a so-called serious news cast on the ins and outs of Pres. Reagan's prostrate operation years and years ago. That was my first glimpse of the absurdity of presidential reporting. The damn thing was over 30 minutes long and had countless "experts" reporting on it - who cares??!!
I liked Obama - in the beginning. I liked his ideas, the way he spoke (as opposed to Bush who is just a babbling idiot the majority of the time... making up words...ugh), but as the days go by it's obvious he's just another "politician". Honestly, I pretty much expected this, but had hopes none the less things may be a little different with him in office.
I'm still glad he's in rather than McCain, but his broken promises and this new deficit of ours is totally out of hand. Like someone else mentioned, we've got N. Korea threatening nuclear war, not to mention the ones we're already in, the crap going on in Iran, and all the shi* happening here at home - yet here we are (well, MSNBC at least), reporting on a stupid trip to the ice cream parlor, and worse, a full run down of what they ordered and ate!! Do these news people honestly think we really care about such trivial matters??
Why I bother reading this crap is beyond me - except maybe to check out Newsvine to read others complaining about the same thing I do... at least I know I'm not alone!
I'll be heading to McDonald's a little later - should I let all of you know what me and my 11 year old get to eat, and what I bring home for my dog too?? I'll be glad to email MSNBC about it and see if they'll do a story on it!
Aren't you glad MSNBC gave you a script to follow so your "together time" with your daughter can be just like The One's might fathering?
Are you kiddin' me with this horse$hit? Slow news day? Who gives a flying frig?
26,27,28,29,30....Freedom of Speech?
Wow... And I normally like Msnbc. How does this qualify as news? all I see is a snack report of the Obama's, not a news article.
I saw one small tucked away article about North Korea possible getting ready to bomb us...one tiny article about a nuclear bomb test and Obama's Ice cream article gets a front page...hmpf...and now I just heard that he wants service for a civilian service force taught in all grade schools.. sounds like he is trying to get his own forces set.
Who is this person????????? What the hey do we really know about him? Something is just weird. Something is just not kosher. Bail outs to help, or nationalize?
