That's Puck2u's usual means of resolving problems, a well placed nuke...if it were up to him, we'd be breathing radioactive dust for the next few hundred years...probably uses a sledgehammer to get a fly....
Unless you don't count cranial bone fragments hitting some passing civilian in the eye as collateral damage.
I trust this was meant to be humor as if not, it honestly might be one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. Next you'll say that the dust swooped up from our helicopters landing is causing lung damage in civilians there and we should start preparing reparation payments for the trauma it's inflicting...
Our WWII veterans must look at the people today and can only stare in disbelief at the joke we have become as a "wussified" nation...or cry for the future of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Media take from this, "Horrible monster of a nation, America slaughters innocent child today in it's quest to spread by force it's Judeo-Christian doctrine around the globe."
I hope he works out and gets "the job" done. But, I am amazed at how positive the article is, if it would have been Bush's choice there would have been nothing but negatives.
"Find, fix and finish" the enemy. Hmmm. When this guy finds them, where will BO put them? Certainly not in Gitmo? What does it mean to "fix" the enemy? Torture isn't allowed anymore, is it? And, to "finish" them? What on earth could that mean?
This guy sounds like a good choice, however his abilities will only be as good as the democrats allow him to be. He'll be controlled by their, "Don't hurt anyone while you're capturing those nice terrorists who we'll bring over here and give more rights than our citizens have." attitude. Since the terrorist's main strength is their mingling with the 'innocent' civilians for cover, there is little chance that we will be truly successful until the military is turned loose to win, with the understanding that war is not a tea party and those who are between the two sides will probably not see tomorrow. AND, we need to stop attacking our soldiers for killing the enemy!!
Al-Qaeda in Iraq was a loosely organized, rag-tag group that should never have been allowed to become the problem that it was. It became a formidable force only because of our early failure to sucessfully confront it. The Taliban in Afghanistan are vastly different. They are a tough, strong network of seasoned combat veterans who beat the Russians. They'll quickly take care of any informants or others who try to help the Americans. Maybe a "killer" like McChrystal thinks he can kill enough of the Taliban to turn the tide. It will be interesting to see if he succeeds. I have my doubts.
hey man.... this guy is a fierce, dedicated soldier/ warrior, for the U.S of A..he works very hard to get the job done..I salute him, for achieving his goals and representing/ protecting our freedom from terrorism..like hyenas, the terrorists are ruthless, cruel and deadly..the vermin, are disgusting creatures, not deserving safe havens, no where..move over, a bigger/ smarter bad dog is about challenge, these useless low life..the half hyena-spitting snake is cornered in in their mud/ rock pits..the wheels are in motion, nobody attacks America and runs..they will pay, and pay dearly, for their deadly actions....
LOL...Don't be afraid of using a nuke. The worse that can happen is ALL of mankind is destroyed and the Earth then can heal itself until we evolve again. As for us, we will either go to Heaven, go to Hell, or just plain die and go nowhere. Just depends on your belief on that one. But we will use the "bomb" again. it is just a matter of time. Unfortunately it will be after the terrorists have used it on us. Then we will have to fight on their terms. No, it is better we take it to them first. Snipers don't work if you can't find the nut cases. A nuke will contaminate EVERYTHING for miles around. See how simple that is. And our soldiers can stay right here and launch the rockets were they are needed. END OF STORY!!!
debinphoenix, find- find them, locate them, ascertain their position.
fix- resolve situation caused by them(if terrorist death is involved, who cares)
finish-cleanup situation (again, if terrorist death is involved, who cares)
if this offends anyone, go there yourself, try handing out "time-outs" or maybe just tell them real sternly to "stop your nasty ways". otherwise keep your comments to yourself and let the military do what they do best. there shouldn't be prisons for terrorist. capital punishment all the way.
this is exactly why the media should keep out of the wars.
Let's hope for success because the stakes will never be higher. The fact Pakistan is increasing it's nuclear capabilities when its government isn't stable should give any rational person chills .The Taliban and al-Queda won't hesitate to use the nuclear option if they are given it,something that makes this a much higher stakes battle than any since WW2. It is also the first battle since WW2 where we are engaging an enemy who attacked us.Secretary Gates obviously recognized the importance of the mission or I'm sure he wouldn't have made this change.
I hope he has got conscience. From the look on his brows, I think not. Maybe Tillman's parents have better outlook on what is right... !!! Obama, take note...
Jimbob,
you make a very good point. Looking back on how the Administration and the MSM threw those responsible for "torturing" terrorists under the bus, I hope this does not have a chilling affect on the actions of this general.
You have a problem with absorbing information apparently - the person most responsible for torturing terrorists releases almost daily paranoid rants about the current administration. Additionally, even though the Abu Ghraib soldiers were merely carrying out Bushes agenda of "Operation See Every Iraqi Behind" it the Bush regime that prosecuted them.
Be grateful we have somebody with judgment, morality and effectiveness running things now.
Ronald H Reagan, your first paragraph didn't make a bit of sense. Your last sentence tells it all. "Be grateful we have somebody with judgment, morality and effectiveness running things now". Might I ask who that might be? It certainly isn't that idiot we have in there NOW. He can't even take care of his own country. Every day it is a new lie.
I hope McCrystal does a hell of a job and doesn't listen to the morons sitting in D.C. getting richer each day while the rest of us worry about taking care of ourselves and our kids.
Lt. Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, the former Special Operations chief who is President Obama's new choice to lead the war in Afghanistan,
His first paragraph made perfect sense. You're just choosing to not understand it because it is correct. For anyone to talk about the Dems throwing people under the bus for torture is F***ED up after Bush and Cheney let soldiers get prosecuted for it.
People just like to conveniently forget that mess.
Hold on a sec...I though al-qaeda was never in iraq???
Torture? What torture, I have not seen anything that should be considered torture.
lash your arms behind your back, elbows together and lift by the wrists with a rope pulling the arms out of the sockets in your shoulders. that is torture.
What was done at abu and guatanamo was discomfort and embarassment, not torture.
Al-Qaeda came into Iraq after we invaded. No one ever said they weren't there. They just weren't ther until later. What was done at Guantanamo was illegal. the U.S. is the one that signed into an agreement saying we wouldn't do these things. The soldiers at Guatanamo were following orders.
Three major treaties that the United States has signed and unambiguously ratified prohibit the United States from subjecting prisoners in the War on Terror to this kind of treatment. First, Common Article 3 of the Geneva Convention Relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War, which the Senate unanimously ratified in 1955, prohibits the parties to the treaty from acts upon prisoners including “violence to life and person, in particular murder of all kinds, mutilation, cruel treatment and torture; . . . outrages upon personal dignity, in particular, humiliating and degrading treatment.”
Not torture at Abu Gharib?
A fifty-three-page report, written by Major General Antonio M. Taguba reports that...
Taguba found that between October and December of 2003 there were numerous instances of “sadistic, blatant, and wanton criminal abuses” at Abu Ghraib. This systematic and illegal abuse of detainees, Taguba reported, was perpetrated by soldiers of the 372nd Military Police Company, and also by members of the American intelligence community. (The 372nd was attached to the 320th M.P. Battalion, which reported to Karpinski’s brigade headquarters.) Taguba’s report listed some of the wrongdoing:
Breaking chemical lights and pouring the phosphoric liquid on detainees; pouring cold water on naked detainees; beating detainees with a broom handle and a chair; threatening male detainees with rape; allowing a military police guard to stitch the wound of a detainee who was injured after being slammed against the wall in his cell; sodomizing a detainee with a chemical light and perhaps a broom stick, and using military working dogs to frighten and intimidate detainees with threats of attack, and in one instance actually biting a detainee.
How about we shove a chemical light up your butt and maybe a broomstick and see if you think that is just "discomfort"?
Pte England has previously said she was ordered to pose for the pictures by officers higher up the chain of command, and that she was told to "soften up" prisoners for interrogations.
These soldiers were scapegoats. Cheny and Bush and Rummy threw them under a bus.
I don't think we should torture al-Queda or Taliban militants.I think we should kill them. The only good Taliban (including moderates) or al-Queda militant is a very dead one!!!
It sounds like this guy has the intelligence and skill needed for handling this situation. If he has the experience for hunting down individuals as well as the skills to build teams, he probably has a better chance than most at accomplishing the task at hand.
Hey Jac....here's a fact.........Obama/Gates.......made this decision.
True, but I have little doubt that if something negative happens, it will be laid at his feet. Sure, the decision makers will be apologetic, but since they weren't there making the decisions themselves, he'll take the blame (and the Soldiers under him.)
Of course, thats the nature of politics. Has been, and probably always will be.
Amazing how you guys just seem to know the future.
Nope, but I have been around long enough to know that when something bad happens, the blame is put on the highest person who is low enough to take it. That would be this General.
I hope this "man hunter" will focus on Osama Bin Laden and a few leaders of the terrorists instead of attacks that kill many innocent people. His experience with Special Operations forces may make him right for this task.
Whether it's OBL, or ANY top Al Qaeda operatives.......take some 50 cal's, position in areas where they have been rumored to be, then use ground forces, and drones to "flush" them out!
As they say, "cut off the head, and the body dies!"
OK, so where's your proof that he's a liar? Nothing like painting with a wide brush...and, on the other hand, who would you suggest, given your depth and breadth of combat experience?
Starbuck... 'a few well positioned snipers' sounds good and it would work... IF you can find the correct positions before the targets are gone. I'm sure the terrorists are sitting around painting targets on their chest, waiting for someone to set up a sniper position. Afghanistan is a rather large piece of terrain... and it sounds like most of the present action is in Pakistan. I hope he doesn't move from his "manhunter/killer" attitude to become a beaurocrat in the field and totally ineffective.
Yup, kill BinLaden and declare victory. Oops, now it's a few more top terrorists (the real word they hate).
The big picture; Fixing what ideology spawns a never ending supply of NOT extremists but Islamic jihadists. That is what all of the followers of BinLaden and the Taliban are. Jihad is one of the options of the proselytizing arm of Islam. Western politicians trying to appease Islam have caused great harm to their people by forcing populations upon their masses who then must accept first traditions then laws then threats and murder (jihad) as a way of life. No Thanks.
I prefer the keep them in the mud huts, caves, tents or dead approach. It saves them from having to print the second edition of Islamic studies where they can no longer espouse bias or elitism to foster an internal army of dangerous young minds bent on winning the globe for the team.
You could do what Black Jack Pershing did. Capture a dozen or so of these Islamic Jihadists, kill a dozen good sized hogs, skin the hogs, shoot all but one of the Jihadists, sew up their corpses in the hog skins, throw them in a mass grave all the while having the remaining Jihadist watch the process. Then set him free. Before you do you can show him and tell him that from here on out all ammo used fighting them will be dipped in bacon grease. After that you can get the fires going for a good ole fashion pig roast. Unfortunately the best part of the pig, the skin, got buried but you can still have sustainability by eating the rest of the pig.
Personally, maybe we should just modify what the Russians did - drop a bunch of butterfly mines in the areas where al-Qaida is (or rumored to be) but instead of exploding and lopping of fingers and toes in the process, they should spray the area with pork-rinds and other bits of bacon-y goodness...I've always thought the fastest way to insure that students would refuse to go into a madrassa or mosque is to pepper it with bacon-bits and fatback...;)
Now this one scares the hell out of me. He is a paid killer, plain and simple and seems like regular army all spit and polish. People like him kill anyone they are told to kill without any remorse at all. He is a killing machine and those he commands are the same. If that is what it takes to find and kill Bin Lauden and his henchmen fine. But something about this man bothers me. He likes his job way too much.
Then why don't you demand the military protocol for advancement be love and kisses between fighting men? Thats right, you already do, silly me.
Protecting by killing those who would kill you is his job and I hope he and his entire staff give the mission their best tools, least restrictions and highest praise for doing what Lilliputians can not, preserve liberty.
thank you eric! but this "killing machine" is what this country needs, and the fact that he loves his job should be something to help you sleep at night. Obama is helping liberals feel better by not hiring a former recon Marine to be Commander of troops in Afghan, although this war would be over in 6 months if we did that... heres the plan: take the army out of Afghan... replace with only Marines and our fellow navy corpsmen (medical)... wallah! War could be done! But we have to keep the protesters i mean sissy's i mean leftists i mean liberals happy for some reason. if you have any complaints email me at devildog3024@hotmail.com
Hate to tell you this, LibForever, that's what war is, closing with and killing the enemy. If you don't want to get bloody hands, then don't join or fight but don;t complain when someone else has to do it for you. BTW, your comment
He is a killing machine and those he commands are the same. If that is what it takes to find and kill Bin Lauden and his henchmen fine.
and
He is a paid killer, plain and simple and seems like regular army all spit and polish
are contradictory; I don't seem to remember "kissy-kissy, suckface with your enemy" being in the SMCT or any other training manual for that matter. If you want OBL and his cronies gone and dead, this is probably the man to do it - let him do his job fer cryin' in the night!
so you know this gentleman personally? wake up- his job is to remove the enemy from the picture in the most efficient way possible. dont sling mud at him because he's good at his job.
Don't know how to handle it do you liberal. Your man hired a killer to try to get the job done. If he captures bin laden may they will hold hands and sing before he shoots him in the back of the head. Better yet may he will cut bin laden's head off.
He scares you, well guess what thats what hes suppose to do, before killing you of course.
first of all if we needed your approval to get the job done it would never get done, war is hell and you need people like this to get it done, thats the truth and nothing but,but of course you cant handle the truth.
Our business in Afghanistan is killing and business is good. You will not build coalitions there first and then eradicate the Taliban b/c they have the advantage of choosing where and when to fight. You have to kill enough of them, especially at the leadership level, so that those with whom we ally will be relatively secure enough to support more stability.
Liberal Forever

I just love selective outrage. I bet if this guy was member of ELF or PETA you would be supporting him 100%. LOL!
Hopefully he will be able to do what he does best---GET THE JOB DONE!! As for being the all Army man, we should be gratefull that some people actually do these things for us or we could all be under the control of those barbarians.
Wow...ignorance must truly be bliss. It is a good thing there are soldiers willing to do the job that you constantly criticize. I just want to say that I live with a "killing machine" only in my house, we call him a HERO!! God bless our soldiers and their commanders, because God knows you don't have the guts to accomplish the mission.
I am surprised by this choice, but for the first time in this presidency, it is a surprised in a good way. I believe General McChrystal is the man to ge the job done. Although I still believe the media and public response would have been different had he been appointed by President Bush.
and for all who continue to criticize our soldiers...if you cant stand behind our troops by all means, feel free to stand in front of them!!
Although on one thing I have to disagree. He was working in Iraq and beheading people then. No one was complaining.
However yes.. far-lefties (and I never thought I'd hear myself say this. Then again I hadn't ever seen it till just now) really DO appear to want to put the Taliban in fur cuffs so as not to hurt them.
Umm.... I'm pretty sure 'beheading' was used in reference to knocking off heads of smaller terrorist cells, hence 'beheading' that cell.
Our Soldiers and Commanders don't chop people's heads off. That was reserved for the terrorist propaganda videos (which thankfully, they have decided that it's easier just to shoot people in the head now.)
Actually, here's a quote that I'm sure will cause Lib Forever to blanch when he/she/it reads it:
"It's fun to shoot some people...Actually, it's a lot of fun to fight. You know, it's a hell of a hoot. I like brawling."
-LTG James Mattis, USMC (Oh, and BTW, Lib, LTG does not mean "light touch, generally", that's Lieutenant General...). It's people like this who get the job done and do it effectively. And, usually, with very few civilian casualties if they can help it. I would almost venture to guess that you're the same sort of person who gets all worked up when a cop shoots someone who points a gun in their direction or they get thumped/tased, etc., because they wouldn't comply. "Stupid gets what stupid does..." SFC Paul Parker, US Army
I hope McChrystal has a Chrystal ball...so he can find Bin Laden and kill him after he extracts info from him..............leave no evidence of torture though for the lefties to complain about. Man he's got a tuff job......
yeah, but before he (Obama) thows him under the bus he would apologizie how arrogant the U.S. is and try to make amends or give them money! I do hope this manhunter is able to get in and get out--he doesn't bother or scare me. He's out for the bad guy! Good for him!
Or he could just let him go to prison and call him a bad apple all while denying that we'd ever authorize any treatment like that and that we do not torture... like the last administration did to our soldiers.
Hate to have to point out the obvious but if Pres. Bush had assigned "manhunter" to lead our troops in Afghanistan the entire left and Democrat Party would be screaming war crimes, murderer and war criminal from the west coast to the east coast. Just another day in Obama land. What a bunch of leftist hypocrites !!!!! There won't be a peep of protest, you can count on it. Where have you gone oh dear leftys ?
By the way, I've noticed that time after time people say the same thing (on this story, it's that Obama is throwing people under the bus) over and over again. No, I mean literally, the SAME EXACT THING. Is it just one person with multiple accounts or something? Or are they really sheeple?
I have yet to see Obama throw anyone under a bus. Maybe someone can cite some source for that.
This article has nothing to do with Obama throwing anyone under a bus. He appointed someone that can do a job that needs done. People are just reading tea leaves or something this morning and have already decided what he will do in the future.
This is good news so far. I think that the new general should form a group of secret snipers to do only one job; distant killing. Those snipers should be train only to take down important figures. There should also be another group to hunt only for road mines and get rid of them . Those special group should not ride vehicles in suspected areas. One group to watch out for attackers and the others to remove mines. We should have man hunter station at the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan to move in and out , unnotice to do their jobs well. The media should not be allowed for news. Keep the media out of special operations; it's like telling the enemies our intentions . So, Let's the Man Hunt begin.
Wait, what? So we're officially using the term "war" as it relates to Afghanistan and just why on earth are we fighting there now? I realize we've had troops deployed there for some time, I'm just not clear on why we're still there, or in Iraq.
I thought the whole premise for electing this fool was to get out of there, wasn't that the "change' we were all sold on? What is the objective? Another "war of containment", stopping terrorism?
I am sick and tired of Odumbo getting a "pass" from literally everyone and if anyone is foolish enough to think this wimp has ever been in a fight in his entire life their crazy, but obviously he's the guy that knows who to appoint to fight a battle.
Morons, all of them, yet this latest crop has the media hood-winked into thinking they are the "chosen ones", either that or they're all afraid of the "racist" tag for the first one that calls this goof ball out.
I am sick and tired of Odumbo getting a "pass" from literally everyone and if anyone is foolish enough to think this wimp has ever been in a fight in his entire life their crazy.
Is it a requirement for a president to actually take part in a fight to be president? If it is, how did the AWOL pilot and the 5 time 4F ever get into office?
not a requirement to be president but you really ought to at least know which end of a gun is the dangerous one to run the military...and for everyone who doesn't want us in Iraq you need to go back and look at 9/11 footage again...you all seem to have forgotten what happened...and if that doesn't make you think you need to look up Beslan, Russia and see what happens when Muslim fundamentalist terrorists attack a school full of kids...do you want that to happen here?
I'm glad he put someone in there that has a good chance of getting BinLaden.
Hussein had nothing to d owith 911. 15 out of 19 terrorists on the plane were saudis. BinLaden was in Afghanistan, Bush started out right , but made the wrong turn into Iraq to get Hussein for daddy.
and if that doesn't make you think you need to look up Beslan, Russia and see what happens when Muslim fundamentalist terrorists attack a school full of kids...do you want that to happen here?
I know exactly what happened there. Some of my relation are no longer here because of that.
Well, regardless of what you all think about the Iraq war etc. it's HISTORY. Get over it, can't turn the clock back now. Didn't like it then, don't like it now. Unfortunately we lost many lives over there which is the biggest loss!
"Summary of Evidence" prepared by the U.S. government in November 2004. This unclassified document was released by the Pentagon in late March 2005. It details the case for designating an Iraqi member of al Qaeda, currently detained in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, as an "enemy combatant."
1. From 1987 to 1989, the detainee served as an infantryman in the Iraqi Army and received training on the mortar and rocket propelled grenades.
2. A Taliban recruiter in Baghdad convinced the detainee to travel to Afghanistan to join the Taliban in 1994.
3. The detainee admitted he was a member of the Taliban.
4. The detainee pledged allegiance to the supreme leader of the Taliban to help them take over all of Afghanistan.
5. The Taliban issued the detainee a Kalishnikov rifle in November 2000.
6. The detainee worked in a Taliban ammo and arms storage arsenal in Mazar-Es-Sharif organizing weapons and ammunition.
7. The detainee willingly associated with al Qaida members.
8. The detainee was a member of al Qaida.
9. An assistant to Usama Bin Ladin paid the detainee on three separate occasions between 1995 and 1997.
10. The detainee stayed at the al Farouq camp in Darwanta, Afghanistan, where he received 1,000 Rupees to continue his travels.
11. From 1997 to 1998, the detainee acted as a trusted agent for Usama Bin Ladin, executing three separate reconnaissance missions for the al Qaeda leader in Oman, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
12. In August 1998, the detainee traveled to Pakistan with a member of Iraqi Intelligence for the purpose of blowing up the Pakistan, United States and British embassies with chemical mortars.
13. Detainee was arrested by Pakistani authorities in Khudzar, Pakistan, in July 2002.
Did Hussein know this? Bush made the statement that Hussein had connections with Al Qaeda. Was Hussein training or providing support to Al Qaeda or was this an isolated incident that the Taliban recruited an infantryman in the iraqi army? Theres a BIG difference in that.
To use that summary of evidence to show a tie between Iraq and Al-Qaida is like saying because the whack job with the shoe bomb was American, the US has ties to Al-Qaida.
Iraq did have connections to Al Qaeda....
That's it??? That's your "smoking gun" rock solid proof that Iraq had ties to Al Queda??? One guy??? One detainee??? One wackjob Jihadist leaves his shack in Iraq to go fight in Al Quesadilla, and that is your logical argument for the US taking its focus off of Osama Bin Laden and Afghanistan and sacrificing over 4000 of our troops, not counting other coalition troop loses?
Svenlolafson... what are you smoking man? And can you please share it with me?
The U.S. had connections with Al-Qaeda too Sven. So according to your theory we should invade ourselves.
Neither Iraq or Saddam had anything to do with 9-11.
Bin Laden didn't even like Saddam Hussein and once called him a bad Muslim. When Hussein invaded Kuwait, Bin Laden offered to assemble his mujahedeen to battle Hussein and protect the Arabian peninsula.
Meanwhile, Bush was flying Bin Laden's family to safety after 9=11.
Hmmmm, guess you missed this: 12. In August 1998, the detainee traveled to Pakistan with a member of Iraqi Intelligence for the purpose of blowing up the Pakistan, United States and British embassies with chemical mortars.
Either you didn't read the whole document or you are selective on what you consider a link if it doesn't jive with your prejudices. Me thinks it be the latter. I can post ad nauseum the evidence that Saddam supported Al Qaeda. Wouldn't matter. The truth isn't what you care about.
OK... so now we're up to TWO guys... well... that's some progress to your theory I guess...
I'm all about the truth man. Post whatever evidence you have, I'm not trying to go against you... just saying what you put up so far... is kinda lame thats all.
But Sven, you pointed out only individuals who supposedly had ties with al-Qaida. Problem with this is three-fold:
1) if the first individual (the one who received training from the Iraqi military on mortars and rocket-propelled grenades) was actually a member of the Iraqi military and an infantryman at that, chances are he would not have been the one to have made contact with the eventual liaison with both an "Iraqi intelligence officer" and al-Qaida operatives - most Iraqi infantrymen were (and are) low-paid, hand-to-mouth types who would have been executed for desertion upon returning to the country.
2) Saddam Hussein was a secular ruler who had no desire to see al-Qaida operatives or bases in his country - what good would it have done him to have Shiite extremists who have no love lost for Sunnis in his country? The argument is disingenuous at best.
3) Chemical mortars do not "blow up" things - they launch chemical munitions which release chemical clouds/toxins...this is really the clincher which pokes a hole in this supposed "Summary of Evidence"...
Finally, what intelligence sources or documents do you cite here? All I see is a pretty limp citing of some supposedly "unclassified" DoD documents...perhaps you have those in a milk crate along with the missing 18 minutes from Nixon, eh?
We're in Afghanistan because we haven't finished the job of destroying al-Queda and the Taliban. With Pakistan increasing its nuclear capabilities despite the government being unstable we had better make sure we don't let the Taliban overthrow the government there or it will be the starting point of World War 3.It will only be a matter of who they attack (the U.S.,Israel or India) not if.Of the 3 we are the only ones not likely to respond with a nuke.Any way you slice it millions of lives are in the balance.
WOW...this is the first and ONLY intelligent thing I have seen Obama do as President...I wonder how long before Obama realizes this a warrior doing a warriors job and forces him to switch tactics, replaces his M-16 with a guitar and makes him sing kumbaya with the enemy and screws up any chance of victory instead of doing his job the right way. Liberals really need to have nothing to do with running the military it is a job that requires a spine.
If he can pull it off credit card reform will be good but so far most of what he has done to "recover" the economy is talk and funnel money to the people that caused the problem in the first place.
Your posts are always lacking in facts and substance, but overflowing with divisveness. You gotta let go of the whole conservative vs liberal thing. Yes, there are tree-hugging pacifists on the left, but there are also some really normal centered people too. The same goes for the right, there are plenty of bible-thumping psychos who think Jesus likes wars, and others that are people you would love to hang with... the point is don't get dragged into, or help to perpetuate a stupid playground kind of us vs them fight. Divided we fall. And we're all Americans. We don't have to agree on everything, but there is more we can agree on than you might think.
Now if you want to debate a liberal person because of an issue that you can relate some FACTS about, then go for it... but the whole spineless, kumbaya singing, just want to surrender thing is getting old man.
Just my 2 cents, don't take it as a personal attack... it's not meant to be.
Is it wise to post this man's picture? I always have mixed feelings when I read war strategies in the newspaper. It's like telling the enemy "ready or not, here I come!"
You are talking about the same news media who was broadcasting the location of the police and SWAT teams when the guy took hostages at the immigration office...again, liberal = no tatical (or common for that matter) sense
Whether his face is posted here or not makes no difference. You can't keep the name and favorite tactics of the top commander in Afghanistan a secret from the enemy. Both sides in any war know the identities and strategies of the opposing commanders.
again, liberal = no tatical (or common for that matter) sense
Fox News Channel confirmed this evening that reporter Geraldo Rivera is "under investigation" by the Pentagon for allegedly compromising military security by revealing information about troop movement in a broadcast report.
To quote Jack Nicholson line in a Few Good Men, "You f*cking people, you have no idea how to defend a country!" Also another good quote, "And that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and And that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post."
To all you out there who have never "picked up a weapon and stood the post," I suggest you ask those of us who did. I did it for 8 years as a US Army Ranger. Soldiers are not trained killers. Yes they kill, but most don't kill indiscrimanately. This man you are bashing is a fine soldier. I had the honor to serve as a member of his civilian JSOC staff at Ft.Bragg as a government employee after my military service. His contributions to the Ranger Corp was invaluable as is his current contributions to our nation now. The term "Man Hunter" is misleading, yet accurate. However, this "contradiction" has meaning. General McChrystal is not a political puppet as some of you have intimated. He may recieve orders from politicians, however, he has the savvy to make these orders work in an efficent military, and legal manner. He would never "buck the system," but he is smart enough to make the system work for the military. Therefore, this brilliance has earned him both of his stars and the leadership position he now holds.
For those of you who weep for the civilians that are victims of "collateral damage," I too am saddened that they are caught in a situation not of their choosing, but one that is thrust upon them. Collateral damage is an unfortuante part of war. I lost two fellow Rangers to friendly fire and I was deeply saddened at their loss. But that is war!! Unfortunate yes, but war is not a fine art. It ebbs and flows. It's confusing at times. People die that shouldn't. But unless you've "been there and done that," you wouldn't have a clue. And like the quote from A Few Good Men, you have the luxury to "to (be) a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I (they/we) provide, then question the manner in which I (they/we)provide it."
So I say to you people as well, General McChrystal needn't explain himself to you. He has a job to do and he's doing it well. So if you don't like the way he, or our fine military, does it's job, move to Switzerland and be neutral. Otherwise, shut the hell up and let us win this war against an unhonorable enemy that won't come out and fight. That's why this man was hired, to find 'em and kill 'em. You go General!!! Screw these liberal whiners. Go kick those ragheads asses and send 'em to hell where they belong!!!!!!
you have the luxury to "to (be) a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I (they/we) provide, then question the manner in which I (they/we)provide it."
That good old blanket of freedom is the excuse for every war we get into. Sometimes it applies, like WWII, but often its just the patriotic cover for the real reason, like Viet Nam (discredited domino theory) and Iraq (revenge and oil). I don't belittle the dedication of the soldiers, who make real sacrifices and face real injury and death regardless of whether the war is justified or not. That's why so many who serve in these war become disillusioned when they realize they are fighting for BS.
Tools like Chuck T will never understand. But fear not. Because you'll mostly see those type of remarks and other extreme left sayings only on blogs or in their private groups. They know out on the streets and in the public there are too many of us out there that won't stand for it and will without hesitation confront them. Never underestimate true patriotism and a love for the U.S.A. and for her well being from folks like me and many others who feel the same way. And props to President Obama on his pick McChristal lead and to seek out our enemy. He's seems like the perfect comander for the job and a proven one at that.
I agree with so much of what you said. I respect and thank you for your service, and your perspective which many people here will never know.
I just wish you didn't take it to the whole screw you liberals thing... It takes away from all the insight and facts you just laid out.... I'm not a liberal, nor a conservative. I'm an American citizen that prefers to think issues through and when I make a decision about my stance it could be on the left or the right DEPENDING ON THE ISSUE. I reject labels that try to box me in. And I don't do it to anyone else, if I can help it.... I'm only human.
But thanks again for your service and your perspective.
I am a former Green Beret who was a ranger under McCrystal. I can assure you he is extremely well versed in the art of combat, counter terrorism and counter insurgency. He is well liked, respected and trustworthy. I have not been on the ground in Afghanistan and dont have a clear perspective of the needs on the ground in a day to day scenario, but rest assured he does. He is savvy, unmovable and fearless.. good pick.
I am sure this state of the art killing machine, well his men did have a lot to do with the terrorist in Iraq. However, it is a bunch of hog wash in this article. One of the main reasons if not the top reason why they pushed them out was because of local fighters. The USA paid the Sunni Insurgents plenty of cash to join our team and fight for us. With no jobs in there country to support families this work paid well for them. The locals have all the real Intel, this is where out forces receive it.
The president has made a good choice here, an officer who is not worried about the PC of things but getting the job done. President Obama has a lot on the ball but he is trying to coddle an inept congress and do a balancing act with ruthless bankers and corporate chieftain's as well.I wish him well for the sake of this sorry country we call America.
As I said in my "rant", hope you understood the dummied down version Chuck, move to Switzerland and be neutral. And for god's sake, learn the English language and stick to the point. Bankers and corporations have nothing to do with this. Please return to your mental hospital and/or take the medications you've been given like a boy.
Seriously dude, and all you other "haters" out there, if you don't like it, call your congressman. I'm sure they'll go, yeah, you're right. We shouldn't be there. What the hell are doing. And they'll get us out right away. Tomorrow would be good for me. How about you? LOLOL
Well... That's not all together true... I mean everything about where we are at, has to do with what came before... and if you wanted to you could keep going back.... to Bush Senior, Clinton... or even Reagan.... but other than learning from their mistakes (which is a very good idea btw)... what purpose does blame serve? Other than to play politcs and say... "See??? It's their fault, because their party is stupid and evil.... vote for us this time...."
But, of course, I agree with your sentiment about hopefully getting the job done swiftly, with as few casualties to our troops as possible.
The only thing I dont like about the choice for the commander in Afghan is that upon his and our fine military's success Obama might get the credit... so just remind people in the future when this chapter closes in history that Obama didnt do sh*t to win a war.
The job will never be done in Afganistan. History is the best indicator of that. Our focus on Afganistan is to maintain some security over the Pakistan border. Since Pakistan has apparently decide to ramp up nuclear weapons grade plutonium enrichment, the threat of nuclear weapoins ending up in the hands of the Taliban and/or al-Qaeda (if they aren't already) has become a real problem.
Even though Obama did not have much to do with the war, I will give him credit if he finishes the job and brings our troops home safely. That took a lot for me to say, as I am not a supporter of any of Obama's policies.
But he's the one in charge, and he is the only one who can put an end to this.
I do not have any faith in our government - they are all a bunch of idiot politicians out for their own agenda, but I do have faith in our troops.
People seem to forget, the main problem is not the presidents policies, it is getting his policies through the bickering congress. Congress authorizes expenditures of money, and writess the laws for this country. The president either signs or rejects them, He cannot dictate the laws or make them.
How can you blame the bickering congress at this point. As far as I can tell they have enough votes in the House and the Senate to get anything passed. So, what do you have to complain about at this point. Nothing. What you really want to do is to continue to bring up the past because you liberals have nothing to complain about anymore.
SueZQ,
You are fooling yourself if you think that it will ever be over with in the Middle-East. As soon as one quiets down another rears its ugly head. The next place will be Iran. As I like to say, they have been fighting others and themselves for thousands of years and we have no chance of stopping that.
Yes, Claude, I do agree with you - this war will never end in the Middle East. Obama seems to lead everyone to believe it will. Again, I do not believe him, but it is what it is and there is nothing we can do to stop it now.
I'm hopeful for 2010 and 2012 and will again vote for whomever I believe has our country's best interests in mind.
and they have been getting things passed in the last 3 months, but not to much in the last 8 years. Everything is just starting to change, it will take time but some people expect change today, not tomorrow. It took many years to get where we are now, it's goingto take longer than 100 days to get back where we were and better.
If it wasn't for Pakistan ramping up their nuclear program, I would say get ALL the troops out of the whole area and let them kill themselves. But they've been fighting for hundreds of years and will keep fighting . That won't stop, but the situation is a little different with nukes involved now.
I agree with ya, Starbuck, if it wasn't concern over Pakistan's nukes, I'd say we can't bring the troops home soon enough. The fighting in the Middle East will never end, we have to be concerned over the potential for terrorists to have nukes. Don't have a crystal ball so can't predict the future, just have to have faith that we have the right people making the right decisions.
Bin Laden is still alive because he was ignored the last 5 or 6 years. Now we have new command in Afghanistan and Bin Laden will be found soon I hope. This general is a no nonsense general. He will do it his way within the laws , but he will get the job done as far as Bin laden is concerned.
He's got a good hiding place. Notice "hiding." Wouldn't you hide if you committed the worst terrorist act in history and the best military in the world was coming after you? He had the chance to take Bin Laden out. A CIA drone had Bin Laden in its sites, but the politicians refused to give the order to put a hellfire missle up his ass. So don't blame him. Blame the government for not taking him out then. Also, blame the govenment for not surrounding A'stan on 9/12 and then working their way to the middle where he woudln't have any mountains to hide in. Worked with Saddam. He just didn't have a good hiding place. A hole in the ground is a lot easier to find that various caves spread across rugged terrain that covers thousands of square miles.
Geesh, haven't you ever played hide and go seek?
Besides, Bin Laden is a non entity now. Al-Qeda is a thing of the past.
Starbuck, go tell that to the Troops who are risking their lives every day trying to hunt Bin Laden down. Did you ever stop to think that maybe that scumbag has been dead for a very long time? Liberals would never believe that, but I'm sure if Obama told you so, you'd believe it.
I would expect that comment out of bumbling Biden, starbuck.
There's no proof of that, you are just assuming that. The 10th mountain div here at Fort Drum still believe he is still alive and they are the ones that want to find him,
That's not the point, if someone takes out Bin Laden today, tomorrow plenty of people just as bad will line up to take his place with even more "evidence" of the evil Americans. We need to focus on the big picture and handle it, focusing on one individual is a waste of time.
Could someone please explain to me why he decapitates people when a bullet would be sufficient? Is it because he wants to leave them guessing about who did it? I'm not getting this. Thanks.
He built a sophisticated network of soldiers and intelligence operatives who proceeded to decapitate the Sunni insurgent group al-Qaeda in Iraq and kill its most notorious leader,
I hope you were just being sarcastic. He was not decapitating people. The part of the paragraph in bold type does not mean literal decapitation was taking place. He removed the "head"--or leaders--of al-Qaeda in Iraq. It's hyperbole.
"Decapitating" an organization does not involve actual cutting, for those who actually don't get it. (Still wondering if thinkingaboutit is being smart; other people on the board have made the same statements and I'm starting to wonder if people are seriously believing the US military decapitates its enemies.)
The Obama administration installs a "Man Hunter" to oversee the conflict in Afghanistan ? Well the Democrats must want us to "Win" this one. Wonder how long the anti war movement will sit on the sidelines ? We know John Murtha is busy defending himself. Can Nancy and Harry keep their mouths shut long enough for a victory ? Wait there is still, "I voted for the war before I voted against the war". Oh that's right he's in charge now. And what about our friend Mr. John Kerry, will he sit this one out ? Of course he will. And the great thinker "Joe Biden" will say what ? Man ain't it great, America, in a few months time went from a pile of camel dung to, "I'm a Yankee Doddle Dandy!"
The difference is that we were dragged into this war by a bunch of clueless idiots. Now, we have to clean up a mess that has already been made by the very ones you apparently defend. They say ignorance is bliss, so you must be happy as hell.
October 16, 2002— Sixty-nine percent (69%) of the House of Representatives (96% of republicans, 39% of democrats & 0% of independents) and seventy-seven percent (77%) of the Senate (98% of republicans, 58% of democrats & 0% of independents) pass the Iraq War Resolution, thereby authorizing the U.S. invasion of Iraq and Operation Iraqi Freedom to commence (on March 20, 2003), without a formal Declaration of War as specified in Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution.
So you are right...(avg) 97% Repubs and 48.5% Dems passed the Iraq War Resolution, of those clueless idiots...which are still sitting there today, and did they suddenly become Mensa members over the past few years?
So you are right...(avg) 97% Repubs and 48.5% Dems passed the Iraq War Resolution, of those clueless idiots...which are still sitting there today, and did they suddenly become Mensa members over the past few years?
While the numbers you have shown may be correct and verifiable, please post something other than wiki as a source. It isn't a reliable source, and cannot be used as any type of reference for anything. Just to make sure people can have less of a dispute with your point. :)
People will always have something to complain about. If it isn't war, then its the air, or the sun, or any number of other ignorant things. Kinda sucks, but so goes the way of life.
Just know that in today's "pretty picture" society, the notion that people would ever read data to get results is absurd. (Heck..our Congress doesn't even read all the bills they sign to pass.)
God I love it, the left took the bait and the only reply is " The Bush" administration got us into this mess and "now we" have to clean it up. What a sap ! ps. And yes, I'm very happy, thank you. :)
Don't forget that it's gigantic corporations that OWN all of our news sources. That is the biggest conflict of interest, and has shackled the idea of a free press. They serve their own purposes, and have no interest in truth and a well informed public.
We are spoon fed our information, which has been sifted through, censored, and cherry picked for us... and that goes for BOTH sides of the imaginary line that creates a left and right in America. There is proaganda a'plenty, but little unbiased information.
The people who got us into Afghanistan are al-Queda and the Taliban for sponsoring an attack on our soil that killed 3000 innocent people with a goal of 50,000 or more.If the Taliban were to overthrow Pakistan hundreds of thousands or even millions of lives will be lost.We better get this one right this time.
Lets go hunting. A well placed nuke solves this problem quicker and surer.
sure way to kill more friendlies
Snipers are better for this kind of job,.
and a lot cheaper too
That's Puck2u's usual means of resolving problems, a well placed nuke...if it were up to him, we'd be breathing radioactive dust for the next few hundred years...probably uses a sledgehammer to get a fly....
snipers work cheaper, and just as effective, and no collateral damage
Unless you don't count cranial bone fragments hitting some passing civilian in the eye as collateral damage.
If the passer-by is that close to BinLaden, he will be a terrorist too and go down with him
You really should change your screen name to Nuke2u, since that is your answer to every situation.
Newsflash - 20 terrorists killed - one innocent civilian unfortunately slain...
Media take from this, "Horrible monster of a nation, America slaughters innocent child today in it's quest to spread by force it's Judeo-Christian doctrine around the globe."
This is really getting pathetic.
!
Shawn, you should trust your instincts.
What on earth could that mean?
floyd, why are you amazed? every article related to obama is and will be positive. hope nothing bad happens bc we'll never hear about it.
"nuke 'em" is stupid and tiresome. If I had a piano that only played one note I'd either get it fixed or sell it to Puick2U.
Wilfred......volunteer, bet McChrystal would LOVE to have your help.
hey man.... this guy is a fierce, dedicated soldier/ warrior, for the U.S of A..he works very hard to get the job done..I salute him, for achieving his goals and representing/ protecting our freedom from terrorism..like hyenas, the terrorists are ruthless, cruel and deadly..the vermin, are disgusting creatures, not deserving safe havens, no where..move over, a bigger/ smarter bad dog is about challenge, these useless low life..the half hyena-spitting snake is cornered in in their mud/ rock pits..the wheels are in motion, nobody attacks America and runs..they will pay, and pay dearly, for their deadly actions....
Let's hope the general is not hobbled by the effete and elites in the WH/Washington set.
May he accomplish the mission according to what needs to done in the field.
Jimbob,
you make a very good point.
Jimbob.............volunteer to help out McCrystal......bet he could use your wisdom.
His first paragraph made perfect sense. You're just choosing to not understand it because it is correct. For anyone to talk about the Dems throwing people under the bus for torture is F***ED up after Bush and Cheney let soldiers get prosecuted for it.
People just like to conveniently forget that mess.
That is what his paragraph was about.
Not torture at Abu Gharib?
How about we shove a chemical light up your butt and maybe a broomstick and see if you think that is just "discomfort"?
These soldiers were scapegoats. Cheny and Bush and Rummy threw them under a bus.
Marcia in Penns. you should read the comment left for debinpheonix.(closer to the top of this page)
tempest- How about you leave my ass out of it, I know what torture is.
I guess you were there? I stand on what I wrote
I don't think we should torture al-Queda or Taliban militants.I think we should kill them. The only good Taliban (including moderates) or al-Queda militant is a very dead one!!!
Thanks Tempest19.
It sounds like this guy has the intelligence and skill needed for handling this situation. If he has the experience for hunting down individuals as well as the skills to build teams, he probably has a better chance than most at accomplishing the task at hand.
Until our illustrious leaders throw him under the bus
Hey Jac....here's a fact.........Obama/Gates.......made this decision.
Zanilth...Aint that the damn truth!
Amazing how you guys just seem to know the future. You must use Nancy Reagan's old astrologer.
OBL has been dead for years. I'm sure he knows this.
any proof?
The proof is there is no proof. Think about it. Let it seep into your brain.
Whether it's OBL, or ANY top Al Qaeda operatives.......take some 50 cal's, position in areas where they have been rumored to be, then use ground forces, and drones to "flush" them out!
As they say, "cut off the head, and the body dies!"
As they say, "cut off the head, and the body dies!"
Or in the case when you are dealing with a multi-faceted terrorist organization instead of a snake or worm....Cut off the head, and three more grow.
This man may be intelligent but he is also a lier, like the rest of the Obama clan. Nothing surprises me anymore with this administration.
or the last administration for that matter
OK, so where's your proof that he's a liar? Nothing like painting with a wide brush...and, on the other hand, who would you suggest, given your depth and breadth of combat experience?
A few well positioned snipers will do the trick.
He's a hunter
El-Wacko..........it's liar. Go volunteer give us first hand reports....on what those liars are doing.
i did not no that we got personell an toke ponts off for spellin.
Do you think bush will let obama borrow the "Mission Accomplished" sign?
BTW, your comment
and
are contradictory; I don't seem to remember "kissy-kissy, suckface with your enemy" being in the SMCT or any other training manual for that matter.
He scares you, well guess what thats what hes suppose to do, before killing you of course.
first of all if we needed your approval to get the job done it would never get done, war is hell and you need people like this to get it done, thats the truth and nothing but,but of course you cant handle the truth.
panzi liberal.
"Now this one scares the hell out of me. He likes his job way too much."
Well said Army wife!
He was working in Iraq and beheading people then.
LOL you're right.. that paragraph bled for me.. I've been awake little too long.. roflmaoo
He is a soldier that loves his country and will do whatever it takes to keep it safe.
don't ever believe he has no conscience, but you have to do what you have to do and he has the stomach for it to protect liberals like you.
Actually, here's a quote that I'm sure will cause Lib Forever to blanch when he/she/it reads it:
Man he's got a tuff job......
dead on bro! Obama would toss him under the buss in a heartbeat if it would further his agenda.
yeah, but before he (Obama) thows him under the bus he would apologizie how arrogant the U.S. is and try to make amends or give them money!
Hate to point out the obvious but he was working in Iraq and doing this while under Bush and no one was screaming then.
Well except those who lost their heads.
How do you scream without a head?
I think that the new general should form a group of secret snipers to do only one job; distant killing.
They are called snipers. They exist.
There should also be another group to hunt only for road mines and get rid of them.
Combat Engineers and Route Clearing Teams.
Insanity.
He said he would be getting us out of Iraq.
BinLaden was in Afghanistan, Bush started out right , but made the wrong turn into Iraq to get Hussein for daddy.
starbuch49:
You hit the nail right on the head!!!!!
Ironwork/USA
Thank You
justryintogetby
and if that doesn't make you think you need to look up Beslan, Russia and see what happens when Muslim fundamentalist terrorists attack a school full of kids...do you want that to happen here?
I know exactly what happened there. Some of my relation are no longer here because of that.
I don't ever recall hearing President Bush say that Iraq or Saddam had anything to do with 9/11. Can you direct me to where he did?
Bush just got side tracked into Iraq and forgot about Bin Laden.
I guess you can't answer my question.
We had no business in Iraq, that's why we are not getting out and redirecting our forces to Afghanistan and AL QAEDA
Bush had no idea why we were in Iraq either, he listened to sureshot.
He did make the statement that Hussein had connections to AL QAEDA.
Well, regardless of what you all think about the Iraq war etc. it's HISTORY. Get over it, can't turn the clock back now. Didn't like it then, don't like it now. Unfortunately we lost many lives over there which is the biggest loss!
Iraq did have connections to Al Qaeda.
Your arguments don't and never have washed...
My bad above, I transposed Sunni and Shiite - Hussein had no desire to see a Sunni extremist group...Wahabists...in his country
Justryintogetby....
Whatta ya mean "ready or not, here we come" ??? We are there, they know it. That's why they are hiding you dumb ass.
Whether his face is posted here or not makes no difference. You can't keep the name and favorite tactics of the top commander in Afghanistan a secret from the enemy. Both sides in any war know the identities and strategies of the opposing commanders.
Good riddance........Geraldo is guilty as sin on numerous fronts...especially his pro-"illegal" immigration stance.
Ignorant!
To quote Jack Nicholson line in a Few Good Men, "You f*cking people, you have no idea how to defend a country!" Also another good quote, "And that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. I know deep down in places you dont talk about at parties, you don't want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and And that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. I know deep down in places you dont talk about at parties, you don't want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline.
Amen !!!!
Zappy do you have a point to all your rhetoric ? if so can you dummy it down so us non movie goers understand your rants.
Chuck T.
Maybe you should stick to coloring books if this was over your head. Where is the rant?
That good old blanket of freedom is the excuse for every war we get into. Sometimes it applies, like WWII, but often its just the patriotic cover for the real reason, like Viet Nam (discredited domino theory) and Iraq (revenge and oil). I don't belittle the dedication of the soldiers, who make real sacrifices and face real injury and death regardless of whether the war is justified or not. That's why so many who serve in these war become disillusioned when they realize they are fighting for BS.
Chuck, here's a dummy version for ya. Duuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh, der der der. That better?
Totally agree zap.
Zap...
He is savvy, unmovable and fearless.. good pick.
Thanks for your service, and for your insight into the new head honcho.
The locals have all the real Intel, this is where out forces receive it.
your point ?
Chuk...comprehension is obviously not your strong suit...perhaps you should go to the NASCAR pages...
"Godspeed General"
sorry bout the duplicate cutting and pasting, ran out of time to correct my mistakes, but I think you get the point.
The president has made a good choice here, an officer who is not worried about the PC of things but getting the job done. President Obama has a lot on the ball but he is trying to coddle an inept congress and do a balancing act with ruthless bankers and corporate chieftain's as well. I wish him well for the sake of this sorry country we call America.
if this contry is so sorry get the hell out.
LOLOL
Like Jack said, "You f*cking people..." LOLOLOL
good post.
Since when did al-qaeda become sunnis?
They are a Sunni extemist group and always have been.
xray's right ('scuse my goof above...)...OBL practices a branch of Sunni Islam known as Wahabi...
Okay now. Since the general's have changed, this is Obama's war now. There is no place for blame on past adminsitration anymore - finally!!!
Let's hope he can get the job done swiftly and without many casualties and finally bring our troops home where they belong.
God Bless our Troops!
SueZQ....
Obama will get the credit for putting in the RIGHT people to get the job DONE, and not some political favors.
Starbuck,
How can you blame the bickering congress at this point.
If he is so good why is Bin Laden still alive?
Al-Qeda is a thing of the past.
ahhhhhhhh, Clinton had the chance to kill Bin Laden! So you see.....the "ignored" part is retro-active!
Thanks.

Raw data can be found here:

Oh, I definitely understand, and wasn't disagreeing with you in the first place.
When people want information, they listen to 3rd party news sources who should be classified as entertainment.
Then they wonder why things aren't going like they should (based on what the 'entertainment media' has provided.)
With that kind of mantality, why would people need to read data to see any results? lol
God I love it, the left took the bait and the only reply is " The Bush" administration got us into this mess and "now we" have to clean it up. What a sap ! ps. And yes, I'm very happy, thank you. :)
Exactly....now off to the Star, the Globe, and the Enquirer to catch up on current global events. lol.
