Octomom??? Lets get real. You make her sound like a alien. I may not agree with what is going on, and what she choose to do, but there are a lot more 'moms' who are doing the same thing every day. They may not be having 8 babies at a time, but 8 moms having 8 babies a day who can not handle those babies is just the same. Lets move on. Use this as a learning tool and lets correct it at the higher levels. Lets make it to where only 2 or 3 are implanted and not 8 at a time. I agree she had too many, and maybe she was after national news, but come on - "Octomom" is just stupid!!!

Oh, good reproductive endochronologists implant no more than three blastocysts at a time. Hers is a quack (and there are plenty of those in that field).
The moment you attempt to justify someone bringing in any number of children into the world when that person is incapable of caring for the children they already have... is the moment you lose this argument.
Call her Octomom or Nadya or Brood mare or Super Mom of the Year Because She Carried Eight Babies All of Whom Survived, it doesn't matter. It won't change the kind of person she is. It won't change the fact she milked the system, or that her doctor is a careless, greedy cretin. Yes, we need to attack this problem at its source, but the source does not lie in the number of embryos being implanted into a woman. It lies with the fact that a woman who can't adequately care for her existing children is being implanted again at all.

I think that its dispicable what the media is doing to this young mother. Their insatiable need for 24 hour news stories is destroying this girls life and devastating what little confidence she may have had. We as the public must bare some responsibility in this voyeuristic appetetite we have developed through ccable news programs like Nancy Grace (the biggest offender of them all). There's absolutely no jounalistic integrity when it comes to news nowadays. Cable news networks must provide a constant stream of stories to stay afloat, so we the public are subjected to these overly processed and throughly obssessive story lines that talk about everything from what someones cat was wearing to whether someone use plastic or paper when they shop. Its ridiculous. Let her live. Imagine if this were your daughter or sister. Would you want the media to badger them like this? Enough is enough. When Britney Spears and Paris Hilton are mentioned more in the headlines then dying soldiers in the Iraq war, we've definitely lost our perspective. It proves our economy is not the only thing going down the toilet.

Nadya agreed to do interview after interview and continues to do live daily diaries on Radaronline. That is a media whore. If it where my daughter or sister I would have told them take care of the kids they had and quit being a mooch. I would worry for the children first .... not a grown woman with major issues. Nadya doesn't want a part of the media than she can shut her mouth and quit calling them and take care of her kids. Simple .. I think perspective is lost when you feel sorry for Nadya and not the children. I noticed you didn't mention the kids.
Police have visited Nadya's house several times in the past 14 months. The police have not come to my house once. I have 4 kids one daughter is now 23.. I wonder who called the police July 2008 someone had concerns before the babies were born. Makes me wonder ...
On the news last night, they said they'd had eight visits in a year. That was the teaser headline. I didn't listen to the story so I don't know if that was eight separate complaints (one every month and a half) or if they had an open case for a while, making more than one visit from one complaint. The latter often happens, so it's very possible. And then there are the two lised above where police had to rescue a child from inside a locked room and the girl who wandered off. They are apparently part of the eight.
In any case, that's a whole lot of home calls for anyone.
RadarOnline.com has Nadya's 911 call from October 08. The end of the tape she saying she is going to kill herself in front of her 2 yr. old. It is about the 5 yr old who took off on a walk. Listening to the tape is more proof she cannot reasonably handle children let alone 8 infants. Why would she do daily video for these people and them now play this .. it sure doesn't help to prove her stability.
It's not dispicable when she put herself in the news. And it's not dispicable to have people aware of what this woman is doing, not only to the poor six - but the additional 8 she can't take care of. She does need to be made an example of for others not to follow in her footsteps and to inform other "want to be moms" that doctors like hers exsist. This woman is irresponsible and childish in her behavior, thoughts and actions.
